    @tammymccrady welcomed me back!

    @trooworld So sorry that they ran out of the test on Monday, that must’ve been so frustrating! Hope you got your test today! Trying to get tested here is really hard as well!

    @Cornanda I am also puttering away and putting away my Christmas decorations. I am totally re-organizing my basement at the same time, my house has turned into a disaster zone🤣

    It was between -40 and -45 today with the windchill, I stayed home. I started to rearrange the large unfinished room in our basement, which has become a huge storage room. Right now, it currently looks like a bomb went off down there🤪. Half of it needs to go to charity, recycling or the eco-station, what a mess. It will be good though when it’s done lol
    Can I just say how glad I was not to have any Christmas goodies left over in this house, I was craving sweets all day 😅

    Hello Slimpossibles!

    @askewcr will be back! @broncobuddee please be sure to get a starting weight (from last Saturday or a close enough guess) and then they'll be ready to go. I am assuming they want to continue with Saturday, but if that is not correct, just let me know. Thanks!

    So I know this is water weight but I'll take it! I've also started exercising yeay for me. I play FitXR on my virtual reality headset. It's a HIIT workout, boxing and dance workout game. I'm loving it and it has a calorie counter in it too for my height and weight. I've also got a hello fresh delivery on Sunday. 5 recipes for 2 people. It was 50% off too. Looking forward to cooking more too.

    One silver lining to testing positive is on the scale 😂.
    We are all feeling better and I’m grateful we were lucky enough to pass it this easy- it was like a bad bout of allergies .
    Stay healthy and safe everybody!

    @Cornanda Yes! It is everywhere. I was able to get the test. I sure hope I don't have it, if I do, some of my coworkers that I interacted with will likely have to quarantine and I will have to stay home until I get a negative test. It is sad. I don't blame your husband, I was about 5 minutes away from walking away because I was so weak standing in line (the line wasn't bad, they just hadn't opened yet and I was early). Thanks! Oh gosh, your poor daughter, you are right it is everywhere! We haven't even started to put decorations away, no energy. That's okay. One year when I was in grad school, we didn't put away our decorations until Spring break! LOL

    @laurelfit57 It was really frustrating but I was able to get tested yesterday so that's over lol. I don't blame you for staying home in that cold! It sounds like you have a project on your hands lol. Yeah I know what you mean about the sweets. I'm glad they are gone too.

    @roz0810 Congrats on the loss! That game sounds like it makes fitness fun. I love to cook.

    @GabiV125 Congrats on the loss! Way to go. I'm glad you all are feeling better.

    Hi all. Well, I was able to get my test done. I'm hoping it will be negative as it will be a headache as far as my work goes if it is positive. No food sounds appealing to me but chicken and noodles so that's what I made for dinner last night. I do feel a bit better today, with barely any congestion, and my cough is a lot less.

    My phrase for the year: "I take no crap and eat no crap."

    @roz0810 congrats on the loss. And it doesn’t matter if it’s water weight cuz a loss is a loss it make you feel good to see it.

    @GabiV125 nice loss and I’m glad you are starting to feel better. Being sick sucks.

    Hi all. Today is stay warm day lol. We are in a wind and winter storm warning so that’s the plan.
    Finally got the house back to normal but now it really looks bare haha. I collect Santa’s so Christmas time always makes the house look fuller. We ended up having the kids for over two weeks straight ( we share custody with their mom) as she tested positive. Now they are doing the online learning as the schools are closed til the middle of Jan they say. I think it will be longer. So lots of kid time for us lately. We have actually enjoyed it as we don’t have to change over of house rules and expectations. Lol. Anyway hope all of you have a great day!!

    Good morning,
    Yesterday I had a very productive day. I tried on every shirt in my closet and then donated what didn't fit. It was quite shocking to me because a lot of my favorite shirts were way to big on me now. I was not going to buy any new clothes until my closet is cleaned out, but my husband encouraged me to do a little bit of shopping, so I came home with 3 different sizes of clothes. I would have tried them on, but the fitting rooms were closed. I will try them all on today. I have a few shirts that were too small for me that I'm keeping. It will be fun to wear new clothes to my 2 doctor's appointments next week. I would say I'm 1/3 of the way to having my closet cleaned out. Today I will try on all my skirts then make another donation to the Salvation Army. I only wear Skirts, Blouses and Dresses. They are easier for me to get on and off. Lol, I never unbutton anything.

    I'm going to try my new recipe today too, Cabbage and Shrimp.

    Stay safe and have a good day today. We are fighting the Good Fight for ourselves.

    @laurelfit57 - is your basement cold at this time? I also have some work to do on my attic and my garage (the basements of Florida), so it will be awhile before everything gets put away. I was doing pretty good on those areas last year, but then stopped when we had visitors and never got started again. Time to get going.

    @roz0810 - that sounds like a fun mash up of different exercises! Should keep things interesting.

    @GabiV125 - nice weigh in and glad you're feeling better.

    @19shmoo69- thanks! You made my day!

    @trooworld- hugs to you and well wishes for feeling better. Keep us updated. I hope things won't be too complicated at work for you.

    @tammymccrady6278 - How nice you have the grandkids with you. Wishing you well on the remote learning part.

    @FushiaKat - wow, I am in admiration of your dedication to getting your house sorted out. How fun to get some new shirts and now you have the space to put them in!

    Once again- boring here. Took a longish walk. Decided to wait for more vigorous activity until next week. Will do some work/work at home, run a few small errands and try to make a bit of progress on the Christmas stuff and cleaning. There are lots of dust bunnies and Christmas debris around, but I'll get to it when I get to it. Husband feels a notch better and in a much nicer mood today! :)o:)<3

    Today I conquered my skirts. After I tried on everything only about 8 skirts fit, the rest were too big. I'm only talking about the right side of my closet; I still need to sort out the left side but most of that is done. I just got home from dropping off my skirts at the Salvation Army store. OMG there is space in my closet now. I did my shoes a while back, so I'm good on that account. I have washed all of my clothes and will put them away shortly; I'm thinking about how I want to arrange my closet. I want to get a nice crate for my extra / backup CPAP supplies. I keep those stored in my closet. I have a really nice comforter and pillow shams, lol Solar path lights for the front yard. You know the odd things. Then I want a place to keep gifts for my husband. I'm currently shopping for Valentine's Day. There's an old suitcase that must go too, hub bought me new suitcases when I went to Walt Disney World in April of last year. I have a backup heated mattress pad, that is a must have item for me. I use it every day even in the summer to keep my joints warm when I'm sleeping so I don't wake up like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.
    I am worn out...... I even cooked a new recipe for lunch today. Shrimp and Cabbage. It was yummy but I'm having a hard time getting to 1000 calories in my food diary. It's too much food for one day.

    I hope everybody had a good day today!

    Sending well wishes and speedy recoveries to all of you who have Covid. I’m surrounded but haven’t gotten it yet. My kids, their fiancés, my hubby and friends who were at our house over the holidays are all sick. Some of them tested positive but were negative with the rapid tests so I’m really starting to doubt their accuracy. Since I have chronic leukaemia and my oncologist told me I have no immunity against Covid even with the vaccines I’ve been wearing a mask around everyone even in my own house. Seems to be working so far.

    Like many of you I’ve been doing some purging too. Since my son is moving into their house this weekend i figured it was a good opportunity to clear out the excess. I haven’t started packing away my Christmas stuff yet. Since no one will be visiting I’m in no hurry. One year I left my tree up until May. I took the ornaments off and decorated it with hearts for Valentine’s Day then with eggs for Easter.

    @TeresaW1020 I am sure thinking about you and your husband♥️

    @roz0810 , @GabiV125 congrats on the losses!!

    @roz0810 . Wow you are off to a great start! My brother has a video game that he works out with and loves it! Hello fresh should be lots of fun!

    @GabiV125 so glad you are all feeling better!

    @trooworld i’m glad you were able to stick it out until they opened up and you got tested. It will just be nice to know one way or the other. And it sounds like you are feeling a bit better, I hope this passes quickly for you!

    @tammymccrady6278 It sounds like a very busy household that you have!

    @FushiaKat nothing so satisfying as getting rid of all those clothes that don’t fit anymore :-). And it is super exciting to get new clothes!

    @Cornanda Half of my basement is in unfinished and of course that is what turned into the dumping ground. It is very chilly in that area, I am definitely wearing slippers and a sweater! If I had visitors over, I think that I would be getting distracted and never get back to it either! Thing is right now it is so darn cold outside and we really can’t be visiting right now, seems like a good time to do it. I am glad that you are taking the time to heal, let your body rest before you get back at anything vigorous. The dust bunnies and debris will always wait, glad hubby is feeling a bit better as well :-).

    @Jactop I am glad that you are taking extra precautions, even at home! I think I have heard it said that the home rapid tests are only 70 or 75% accuracy, I have no idea though! I love that idea of your Christmas tree turning into a Valentines tree and an Easter egg tree, my grandkids would love that!

    Still working on my basement project here. My daughter and grandkids did come over for lunch which was a really nice break! My daughter said mom I feel like you have been doing a deep cleaning for months now LOL. Before Christmas, I cleaned out all my closets of clothes that I had grown into which led to another room and another room🤣. My son had a bunch of stuff left here in the basement from when he used to live here, they just got a bigger place so he took all his stuff, which leads to the major cleaning of the basement. I told my daughter I would rather be doing it now rather than when it warms up! Who am I kidding??? When it warms up I would probably never get to it😜

    Welcome back @askewcr good to see you!

    Sorry for the quick reply, my upper back is protesting bad about the yoga planks and I'm pretty much stuck in bed or the couch until it heals so no workouts and only sitting with it supported so this is hard to do right now. I was doing more than just yoga, the yoga challenges are 30 minutes but she did a ton of planks and side planks the other day and my back wasn't happy. I have some work to do in the morning (doing some stuff for my brother) then I'm getting my hair done. I've been stress eating a bit but not going over as much as I normally would when I stress eat, I have pain in most my body and can stay pretty positive but it's in my neck giving me headaches and that makes me a grouch.

    Have a wonderful Friday gang, it's the weekend, woot woot!

    @tammymccrady6278 I hope you can stay warm! Enjoy the kiddos.

    @FushiaKat That's a great NSV. Congrats.

    @Cornanda Thanks! Test came back: negative! I'm so relieved! I've got Christmas decorations all over that I need to take down. Oh well, I'll get to it when I get to it. I'm glad the hubby is feeling a bit better and is nicer lol.

    @Jactop Wow, that's a lot of people to be sick, you are lucky you aren't. Yeah, I doubt the rapid tests as well. I read in an article that they are less effective when you take them too soon after onset. I'm glad you are taking care of yourself wearing a mask around all the sick. That would be cute to have a Valentine's Day tree!

    @laurelfit57 Thank you, I was negative so it's just a bad cold (luckily). I am feeling better each day. Sometimes deep cleaning just takes a long time, it can be overwhelming so best taken in steps. :)

    @askewcr Nice to see you back! Welcome. :D

    @Katmary71 I hope your back feels better soon. I'm glad it's the weekend.

    @fatfifties Woot woot! Go, girl!

    Hi all. My COVID test came back and it was negative so it's just a bad cold. I'd heard that there was one going around. I ran across a free goal planning workbook that I thought I would pass on for those that like to map out goals, it's called YearCompass: https://yearcompass.com/

    Happy Friday Everybody :)
    One of my goals was to try a new food and I picked a new flavor of yogurt Strawberry / Banana, I had to drive across town to get it because no markets near me carry that flavor. I will try it tonight.
    I also went shopping at Costco today so I could spend my cash back rebate. It was jammed packed full of people, elbow to elbow. My husband said that people are afraid we are going to run out of things, so they are all stocking up.
    I like a lot of others have not taken down my Christmas Tree or decorations yet. I did buy matching totes to use instead of cardboard boxes. I will take a break from my closet and work on that this weekend.
    I'm worn out to be honest, I actually took a nap today for 1.5 hours. I've been staying true to my calorie counting and food diary. Even eating the tiny bags of frosted animal cookies. Good thing they make tiny bags, I have such a huge issue with portion control. I don't know who thought up "Super-Size, Jumbo, and All You Can Eat", they have done nothing to improve the quality of life for people. :#
