TRY.
TRY AGAIN.
TRY ONCE MORE.
TRY DIFFERENTLY.
TRY AGAIN TOMORROW.
TRY, AND ASK FOR HELP.
TRY TO FIND SOMEONE WHO’S DONE IT.
TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
KEEP TRYING UNTIL YOU SUCCEED.

1 mile treadmill walk, 3 mile treadmill run.
Autocorrect tried to change “run” to “fun” and I’m not sure I can imagine a sentence where fun would describe a treadmill experience.
Back on track after letting my college roomie and his hubs visiting throw me completely off food wise.12 -

All three done over 11,000 steps today but still going slow. I will be glad when this Covid is over such long lasting effects. Hubby said he felt like he has an elephant on his chest O2 levels are good and heart rate good guess it just takes time he said he felt bad because it’s cold and I had to take the dogs out this evening I reminded him of the fact that when I broke my arm a few years ago he took care of me isn’t that what it’s all about? Thanks for the chat good night.11

So some good news - I'm feeling very pleased with myself. In a prior post I mentioned that I was going to work on not letting perfect be the enemy of good. I've actually been working on applying that mantra since about Jan 3 when I created the upcoming content I shared Jan 19. Well I am a stress eater/emotional eater/binge eater and I have been battling trying to form some better ways to handle stress from when I acknowledged it about 11 months ago. As you may or may not know, I have been extremely unhappy and stressed about changes in management that have greatly affected my job. The last two weeks, I have been beside myself. But - and this is a big but - even though I haven't been logging faithfully, nor exercising (crawling in bed to binge on Netflix instead lol), I have managed NOT to give in too many times to binging. When I did, I chose popcorn with a little bit of cheese and Everything But The Bagel spice on it. One night I almost caved to ice cream but my husband offered to go get Thai food for me instead. Yes, I ate too much Thai, but it was still better than too much ice cream. I stepped on the scale this morning, hoping to see that I either maintained or at least only gained a pound or two. And to my surprise, I lost 0.9 lbs! The way I've handled the major life change and subsequent stress, although not perfect, is still many times better than I ever done before! I've also been trying to learn yoga (really even just to figure out why so many people love it) and this week's goal is to try to do it a minimum of 5x this week. I did it tonight even after another upsetting day. So these 2 accomplishments are making me feel great today!
Oh and YES x 3 today also!!
My monthly mantra of "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good" has been really working to keep me in check. Let's just KEEP TRYING everyone!12 -
