    Weigh In Day: Monday:
    PW (Previous Weight): 237
    CW (Current Weight): 238.8

    Hi all, here for Monday check in. I went to step on my scales this morning, but the battery said "Lo" so couldn't use them! Had to find a manual one so not sure how accurate it is.

    These past few days I've had birthday celebrations, day trips, graduation ceremony and a meal out so maybe it isn't too far off however, 2lbs in a week is a lot to gain, probably an element of sodium related and due TOM soon. I have done quite a bit of walking over the last few days, saw I did over 15,000 steps at least on Friday .

    I made a lentil curry yesterday with white rice, did a pan of it and portioned it out in 4 containers so will be useful for the coming days lunchtimes. I'm off the meal prep service officially now, so able to experiment more with food and get veggie based meals in more going forward.

    As a starting point, I'm thinking it is perhaps best if I try celebrating any wins when I make healthier meal and snack choices before anything else right now.

    Weigh Day: Saturday
    SW: 179.8 (1/7/22)
    PW: 174.4
    CW: 176.0
    LTD: 3.8

    Sorry again for the late post. Here is Saturday's weight.

    I'll be missing this Saturday as I am on a kayaking trip in Folly Beach, SC until Sunday.

    I know being with this group will keep the mouth parties at bay! The trick is to stay strong when I get home; that's the challenge.

    But my mantra will be PAUSE * BREATHE * THINK.

    Good evening all. Bad day at the mouth for me. Ate out for lunch so lots of salt, jambalaya for dinner so more salt and a lot of snacking during the day and night. Scale will hate me in the morning.
    Check in for 4/25:
    Steps - 1425. I was out all day without my watch. I spent 4 hours playing tourist and then fake flower shopping.
    Calories - 2071 or more. Had to guess hard for meals today.

    Had to call to get a pre-op appt for Wednesday. I am having to call nightly for jury duty so now I have to call jury duty tomorrow and get it excused or rescheduled because I will be in the next group called, probably wednesday. I'm trying to juggle a lot of stuff at once right now. Not used to it anymore.

    Nice walk!

    @mszoueb
    You forgot that using different scales could also give a difference on the scales. I think it is important to celebrate those NSV when the scales are not cooperating.

    @Gwiz401
    Enjoy your kayaking trip. You got this when you get back. Take one meal or snack at a time.

    @Jpedno
    I don’t know much about the program but is there a particular part that is giving you trouble? Someone might be able to give suggestions that did the program before.

    @rwood566
    I will need a maintenance range for next month. So if you pick 233 as your maintenance weight, I need a low and high weight you want to stay in. Also, will you be weighing in while recovering from surgery? While on maintenance, you weigh in weekly and as long as you are in your maintenance range you are good. If you go out of the range for 2 weeks then you move back to the main team until you are in your range again.

    The passport office was a bust yesterday. The line up was long and it was a 7 hour wait. I am going this morning at 7:15. The office doesn’t open until 8:30 so I am hoping I might be near the front of the line. I didn’t get a lot of exercise yesterday as I remembered my prescriptions were being delivered so I just did mini walks around the apartment and some heavy cleaning. If I get home early enough I will go to the pool otherwise it will be a rest day.

    Happy Tuesday, Downsizers! Here's my check-in:

    My MFP login still isn't working properly - @tahm42 thanks so much for letting me know it's a sitewide problem - I contacted the help desk and am hoping they will be able to fix it.

    I hope you're all having a great day!

    Hello everyone. I have been getting my head in order.
    Here is a recap of the month so far:
    Fri WI Starting Weight 260. My highest ever.
    1: 4/1 256 (Phew!)
    2: 4/8 255 (Just keep swimming.)
    3: 4/15 254.5 (A little at a time is all I need.)
    4: 4/22 254 (That's right, stay calm.)
    5: 4/29

    I had to break away from the scale while I was retooling my eating plan. I cannot weigh and measure my food and myself obsessively every day, even though sometimes I am still tempted. I wish mfp had a servings checklist type of journal where it did not count calories. But no matter, that is what I am doing now, and I am focusing on eating like a normal person at every meal and NEVER overeating. Never. I just can't load up at one meal in anticipation of another or because I am super hungry from having skipped a meal. I am very excited; things are moving in the right direction and I am learning to love myself and be a better person in this process. Thank you to all of you for keeping going towards your goals. Your dedication to keep coming back inspires me!

    There is a post when you open the community tab talking about ongoing issues. I haven’t read it but it may give you some insight to the problems with the app. Another stellar day.

    @MeowScout
    I will get your weights added. I think with weight loss we have to do what works for us as individuals. Your idea of a serving check list sounds like weight watchers. It’s been years since I did WW so I am not sure what the current plan is like. It also costs money. You are losing weight so you are doing something right.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970
    Nice walk!

    @aactuallyaash
    That is frustrating. Having clothes on would definitely add weight.

    @tahm42
    When do you go away?

    @28Haveitall2020
    I will mark you excused for last week. I am glad you are feeling better.

    Good morning all. Off to pre op in a couple minutes. Had to reschedule jury duty.
    Check in for 4/26:
    Steps - 11077
    Calories - 1803 or close. Still trying to log all my snacking.
    Exercise - pickleball. Played 6 games in 2 hours. At least I didn't hurt myself this time.

    What a long day yesterday! I was in line for almost 7 hours. I will get my passport within 10 days which is plenty of time before my trip. I am so glad to get to the pool today. I haven’t decided what I will do but I am aiming for an hour of exercise.

    Good luck with pre op. Awesome exercise. Don’t forget to let me know your maintenance range so I can get you moved to maintenance next month.

    Happy Wednesday, Downsizers! Well...it finally happened...for the first time since I started this journey in April of last year: I gained weight. I can't believe it - I stayed at 1,200 calories each day and I have exercised for at least 70 minutes every day. I knew it would happen eventually - but I'm a little shocked that it happened when I was completely on plan. I won't let it get me down - I had an awesome exercise session this morning and my meals are already made so that I stay within my calorie range.

    PW: 143.3
    CW: 144.3 (+1)
    SW: 250

    4/26:
    Calories: 1,269
    Exercise: 70 minutes elliptical
    Steps: 12,411

    @lallstar and @ldyhawk Welcome to the best team! We are so glad to have you join us!

    @28Haveitall2020 I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well - binges happen - just try to get right back on plan once you feel better

    @aactuallyaash I need to look things the way you do: the scale is just one type of measure

    @tahm42 and @lindamtuck2018 I'm still not able to login from my app - I will try to find the community tab to see if there is any insight as to when this issue will be cleared up

    @rwood566 Good luck with your pre-op appointment - please let us know how it goes!

    Ok - time to get back to work - I hope you all have a wonderful day!
