Well, I'm GLAD I'm not seeing a bigger gain! But this is sad because it's my highest weight of my whole life! My highest before was 228! :( I'm just really stuck and can't seem to get back into counting calories! Help!

Do you have any thoughts on where your calories are highest? My downfall is usually snacks. I get crabby and want crunchy things. Things I can grind in my teeth.

Are there things you can do to target those higher calorie (but not necessarily focusing on counting)? I make single serving options available and make sure I have lower calorie options--at work, I make sure I always take apples and celery. I pack homemade trail mix in 1/4 cup servings. And I keep single serving Pringles packs, peanuts, and almonds in my desk. This helps me avoid buying machine junk food, which is usually double or more serving size and expensive.

When you reach for food, try drinking 8 oz of water first. Hydration is key.

I am sorry to the team! I fell off the wagon and did not post my weight. I hope I can still remain with the team and I will ensure you that I will post my weight in the future. I missed two weigh-ins, if I have to register again, I totally understand.

I have been struggling. I was at my goal weight and I am allowing everyday outside influences bother me! I need to take care of myself and follow my goals!

Can I also switch my weigh-in from Thursday to Monday? Kick the week off strong!

    My last weight-in:
    133.8
    Current Weight: 135.7

I will post my weight tmo! I totally understand my weight not being counted this month. Can I still post until I can join back the team on official weigh-ins in July?

Not Ashley...but you are not on the drop list yet. Even if you were, we can take you off it. We will move your weigh day.

    June Week Four

    Weigh Day: Tuesdays
    Previous Weight: 173.4 lbs(June 14th)
    Current Weight: 172.2 lbs(June 21st)
    Loss to Date: 61.8 lbs

I haven't quite found my new routine yet, but I think I'm starting to get my excessive snacking under control, despite not logging a bit of it. Here's hoping I can keep it up. And if not, recover quickly. This nice little loss definitely helps on the motivation side.

On the exercise front, I've been all over the place. Sometimes I wake up in the morning, get into my gym clothes, and pop down to the apartment building gym for my 10-15-15 (rower-resistance-elliptical) routine I haphazardly threw together. A couple days, I've stayed in my apartment and taken to my yoga mat to do some stretching followed by planks. And then others... I turn on my later alarm and go back to sleep. Last week, there was a lot of waking up and then going back to sleep. But I've picked up a couple discounted drop-in credits for spin class, and I've scheduled more time with my personal trainer friend, so I'm definitely not giving up on myself just yet.

Hi group. I'm Joann and new to this group and the challenges. I'm excited to be part of a community as I find it helps keep me motivated and focused.

I'm a mom and full-time nurse from Alberta Canada. With summer approaching and my garden growing I think this is a great time to start and have some fresh produce to keep me going through the summer

Being stuck happens all the time to lots of us. I use to be a diet snob - in my thin days I'd look at some and wonder why they just don't shed the pounds. Fast forward to the present; I'm struggling yet again.
As corny as this may sound, the good news is that every day is an opportunity to try again. You're here, and that's good news. At the end of every day, I think about my day and my choices I've made. I take credit for the good choices and try to learn from the not so good ones. You'll do this all in good time. I wish you well.

Hi All! Looking forward to joining this group and challenge. I am a mom to three kids (7, 3, 2) and three doggies. I work full time (sedentary office job), and really need to get serious about getting healthier and losing weight.

Preferred Weigh In Day - Friday
Current Weight on 6/23/2022- 162 (also my heaviest weight ever)

My weigh in day is Friday but I'm going camping tomorrow and I am only half packed so it is going to be a busy morning tomorrow. I decided it's safer to report today's weight rather than to forget. To be frank this number is pretty depressing:

    CW: 140.2
    PW: 138.3

Partly it's due to me just being unable to stop eating, partly it's last weekend's parties (my daughter's birthday party and triple graduation party). And with the school over, my daily morning and afternoon walks to and back from school are gone. I am figuring out the ways to adapt to new schedules: mine and kids'.

    Sat weigh day
    PW: 219.6
    CW: 218.3

My weight was 2 pounds lower on Wednesday.😟 But then I had tacos snd oles and mac & cheese, all of which are very high in sodium.

Do not know what I'll do with my day...try to make it to the farmers market? Spend my am gardening? Nap? It has been a rough week. After a week of vacay, I expected a busy work week but it was totally insane. Every time I thought I might have a minute to accomplish something, the phone would ring, an email would pop up saying I'd missed a call, my boss would ask for end of year totals for something related to budget and I would dive back into the data pool or have to get clarification. While digging into data at one point, I noticed 50-75 people were not getting credit for a (important) training because of a small, easily corrected technicality. I sent a batch email to let them know (it is really easy to tell--you go to the course, you look. It says yes, you're done or no, there is one more thing). And got an avalanche of crabbiness and argument. Which I was NOT in any mood to deal with. Grr. Now I need a vacation.

I need to convince myself to get some things done today/this weekend but I am not motivated. I need to do more gardening but all the bug bites (20!!) from last week are finally starting to disappear and stop itching.

As some of the best minds in change theory have pointed out...willingness to change isn't the whole story. I can say I want to or I need to or I should but none of those things are I will.
