@CupcakeCrusoe
Wow, great loss! Love your "thread bankruptcy" term you've said the last couple days by the way, made me laugh. This chat can sometimes be VERY quiet and sometimes it's quite busy. We welcome all levels of engagement - whatever helps you! Your pasta looked friggin' divine!!!
@ells_bellz
Great loss for you too - way to start off with amazing steps too. Love those walks that turn into a big one!!
@PlaneMonkey
The difference is that you're here now, accountable to yourself (and us!), and this will not be a tumble! 180's will be back before you know it!
8/4 exercise:
10,953 steps + 46 minutes Peloton
My weight was down again today - it's been dropping every day since we returned from the trip but today was the smallest drop yet so I think it'll be normalcy around here from here on out. We are heading out to the lake tonight for the weekend - it's been a while since we've been there because of our vacation. Looking forward to that! It's a bit harder to get quality exercise out there but we will get it done, our steps if nothing else!!

So many good things have happened so far this week, I've managed my water intake, I've exercised at least 30 minutes and my food has been within calorie range.

Not impressed with myself but there is also still some food in transit after my 'too sick to play hockey' pity-party with the cookie box. I heard all of your voices telling me I didn't need another as I reached into the cupboard, but I'm a victim of my success and I fluffed it off with 'I can lose it again, I've done it before' which is the slippery slope I've tumbled down on each of my major weight-loss life events. I will not let it get that far! We are turning this wagon around. Back to the lower decade by next week or else I will have to think of some serious consequences.... Like no cake on my birthday next week... Or having to do burpees... Or something equally horrible!
Feel free to brainstorm team!
Not the burpees , I don't think I could do one if my life depended on it. I'm sure you'll be back in the groove and the lower decade next week

Burpees are one of the worst inventions on this earth, my knees creak just thinking about them.
If that doesnt keep me from reaching for an extra cookie, I don't know what will!!2 -
@LoraineGB So glad your first week aboard the WA train is going well! Save up all the reminders of how good it feels - they come in handy when the bad decisions sing their siren songs.
I worked hard on my "safe shopping" chops today. I had to get to the grocery store. I was really hungry, but nothing really felt like the right thing to eat. So I avoided the mid-morning snack, went shopping anyhow. I gave myself a stern talking to about sticking to the list, and I succeeded. Then of course, getting home it was lunch time and there arose the temptation to reward myself for having been SO good while shopping. I think my resistance was running low, but I logged it first, and stuck to a small amount of blueberry cobbler left over from the other day. After a very virtuous big salad. Phew! No burpees required.6 -

This was actually my weigh in from yesterday before the burgers, fries and shakes. I had been this for a few days and suspect I will be this weight tomorrow. Otherwise I would have to report no loss today and I don't think that really represents my week. All this grocery store talk and that is exactly where I need to go today! I will need to plan some meals first!
I have these little macro cookbooks that I have been cooking from and like. I have the spring and summer books already. I just ordered the treats and fall books. I will share pictures soon.3 -

We’re on our way to St Charles, MO for the weekend. Probably won’t hear anything from me until Sunday afternoon.
Have a great weekend all!4 -
@CupcakeCrusoe unfortunately, I have to do morning workouts. I don't have time during the day because I teach. I have 4 kids with all the after school activities. 🤷♀️
I have eaten way too much this week. I did not do IF. I will try again next week.6 -

Been doing IF for last month and loving it. I do track my calories too. My son and I just got a new puppy, so life is crazy hectic. I'll try to post a proper introduction, soon. 🐕
Oh, and his name is Lu. Short for Cthulu (sci fi geek here! 🐙) The puppy, of course!

Okay, I'm back and I have pictures of the cook books. Unfortunately this company doesn't ship outside of the US at this time. They have an app that I have previewed but haven't paid for yet. It has all of there recipes and I would guess you could use it if you lived outside of the US. They also shamelessly push their products but do list substitutes in the book. Not all recipes use their products and I have noticed the snack section tends to use their products most. I have their pancake/waffle mix, their pancake syrup mix and one of their jars of maple doughnut flavored nut butters. I like everything I have tried and it meets the criteria for my wellness coach. I have ordered their protein powder sampler but it isn't here yet.
The company is called Clean Simple Eats
Each book has 7 weeks of meal plans with grocery lists. M-F is a simple breakfast recipe and something a little more fun for the weekend. Lunch is always leftovers from the previous nights dinner. You get 6 different dinner recipes each week plus a dinner out day. Snacks are your choice and you have add them to the shopping list.
The book also gives you meal prep directions and you prep some items on Sunday and a few more things on Thursday. Here are a few recipes 😋 I have made most of these.

I forgot to mention that all recipes are 40% carbs 30% protein and 30% fats. Every recipe follows this format. They also have a section to help you with getting your calories figured out and give tips to adjust portions to meet calories. They also have a workout section but its pretty skimpy.4

Good morning, super late introduction, Sylvia here in Massachusetts, 53. Highs and lows throughout my life - got serious in 2020 and did really well, mostly all to do with meticulous logging and joining up with Waistaways, but the last year really saw that weight creep up about 20 lbs. I've read through the whole chat and know I've got company with that creep. I'm ready to get back on board and get back to where I felt great which was about 20 lbs ago. My mum died 2 days ago from the cancer and I'm feeling pretty calm now - might sound strange but after the heartbreaking agonizing months of inevitable decline, it's how I feel. I still care for my dad at home & have my ft office job, so a fair amount of juggling, but feel I can turn my focus here and on the scale and make a positive change in the coming months.
I'll still stay on the sidelines for the month but will weigh in.

Hi team!
@jugar- There has been a lot going on the past 2 wks and I completely forgot to post last Saturday's weight. I didn't even remember to get on the scale. Do I just post today's weight with the one from 2 wks ago?
Hi @Shawtytel ! Don't worry about previous weight, just post today's and it will go from there. If you want to correct your August starting weight by also giving me last Saturday's that's ok too, but not necessary. Thanks!1 -
@eggfreak
Oh, Sylvia ♥️ I am so truly sorry for your loss ♥️ your mum is at peace now, I'm sending you all my love ♥️2
