I could have sworn I posted my weight last week but couldn’t find it. Must’ve gotten sidetracked! My husband went out of town for a mission trip and I thought I would get so much accomplished! Injured myself at the gym and was flat on my back for two days. Thought I would get a massage last Saturday since I was improving enough to go through with it and I had some problematic knots in my shoulder. Welp, hubby brought home a lovely parting gift of Covid from Belize. He’s still testing positive almost a week later. Anyway, had to cancel the massage. I’ve still been hitting the gym, but with a mask, which is no fun. Since my regular walks were still causing my knee to swell, I tried going for a shorter one last night and that worked out ok. Then I woke up this morning with vertigo! Strangely, two other people at the gym have had it this week too. We’re thinking it’s allergy related because the ragweed pollen has been bad.
At least I had a good loss this week, I’m sure in part because I wasn’t watching my husband
snack all day long! Hopefully I can stay focused and break through into the 180s soon.

Thank you for the kind words about our beloved dog, Addy. I wish I had better news. Our son had surgery on Tuesday. His recovery has been a hot mess and unfortunately put us back in the hospital on Wednesday night. I don't have access to a scale currently, but I know it is not going to be a good number.
@KHill875 Weigh in anytime over the weekend and just let me know...we'll get you caught up. Don't worry about it gal...you're doing the most important thing supporting your family and just breathing...just make it through each day. Thinking of you...

@kHill875 and @bearchested - I’m so sorry to hear your son is struggling after his surgery. I hope one of the pediatric occupational therapists, physical therapist, or speech-language pathologists, can help him with his swallowing.
I’m sure he’s comforted by your stays with him in the hospital and it’s tough to balance care for your daughter, son, and sick cat. Hang in there and I hope you can call in some respite care to help you get some rest!
Take care and I hope life shifts in a more positive direction soon!2 -

@Angmarie28 - What a week of car trouble. It’s a good thing you can access a family discount on the car repairs — yikes!
@frankwbrown - I’m always inspired by your step count and activity level!
@cre804 - How disappointing that you had to cancel your massage appointment. I hope you and your husband both feel better soon and you still get a chance to treat yourself to a massage. Congratulations on the loss.
@leni1us - I’ve read about the way our bodies need water for muscle repair, too. Good for you keeping a positive attitude and building your fitness level and exercise habit.
Enjoy the weekend, Shape Shifters!

Good morning Shape Shifters ! It's great to see some new people on here & the returners to the team.My name is Izzy & I live in England with my hubby & 2 adults sons.I have been on MFP on & off for several years as I seem to struggle to maintain my weight & yoyo constantly or stand still like I did this week.
I am 62 but I have always been very active & enjoy my local gym & pool which is 5 mins walk away from my house.I love dancing & go to a Dance fit class at the gym around 3x a week. Our family is car less so we walk everywhere or rely on public transport.I also like going for walks around my neighbourhood with friends or alone.
I do like a nice glass or two of Marlborough Sauvigion Blanc, but do try to limit it to weekends only but don't always succeed .
Thank you for pointing this out to the team @Jessicakrall8 🤪🤪 Haha I forgive you !
As for how I incorporate it to my food dairy, yes I list it as part of my meals.I know I should plan ahead but usually don't.Luckily I don't often go above my daily allowance. As I'm quite active I usually have some leeway on exercise calories used.
@leni1us I haven't tried any low calorie wines.I can't imagine that they taste the same but maybe I should try some.
@KHill875 @bearchested I'm so sorry your young Son is having such a hard time after his op.As well as your loss & sick pets,I hope your family has a better time this month.
@pedal_power your photos look amazing,it looks like you live in a beautiful place.
@angemarie they say bad things come in threes, hope some good fortune comes your way.At least with your connections it wasn't too pricey !
Have a good weekend everyone 🥰

It seems like we are all going thru some troubles, kids, fur babies, health, etc. at times there are hard to deal with and we keep finding strength to keep going so this is my phrase for the week: If you cannot find a reason to dance, find a reason to sing.
Hope you all have a great week.4 -

Hi sorry just a quick post. I’ve been home for almost a week for our two weeks in Europe. I’m happy with the 2 lb gain considering all the pasta, pizza and desserts I had. Lots and lots of walking though.
Off cross border shopping in Michigan today. Love seeing all the things you have in the US vs Canada. Unfortunately it seems inflation has hit a little harder here.2 -

Happy Saturday everyone. Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? I get to work, whats new. My coworker/good friends grandbaby was being morn so i picked up her shift today and I always work Sunday.
Both mine and my sons car is still in the shop but we figured out that my sons cars issues is NOT the head gaskets, thank god. But funny how things work out, my van has some tranny issues so ive been looking for a vehical, now 2 of our 3 vehicals are in the shop, I was using my moms spare and today she called me saying there was a decent SUV that her work would sell me for a good price, so I went and bought a random vehical today 😂0 -

Hi Jessica,
Good morning and Happy Sunday! I thought I posted but probably forgot. I didn't log any steps for Sunday 7/31 because I wasn't wearing my wellness watch and that's usually a rest day for me. I checked my watch and I must have had it on in the morning because it does show 133 steps. (Negligible)!1 -

Hey @angmarie28 I left you an IM but haven't received a response...could be the wonky mail system. Please shoot me an email...want to have a chat when you have a second. Thanks!
So sorry you're having all this car trouble at one time...it seems it's always something, doesn't it? Hope it gets better soon!

Point of interest. I did some research online because my scale says my body water percentage is low. Here's what I found:
The normal range for adult women varies between 45% and 60%. For men, the ideal body water percentage fluctuates between 50% and 65% of the total body. In babies, that number is much higher. The norm is considered to be between 75% and 78%, dropping to 65% by one year of age. I also found this:

Hey Team:
Lots of NWIs last week...nearly half. Just a reminder that if something comes up, please send your captain an IM or make a quick posting to let me know you have to work, go out of town, have a family emergency, spur of the moment vacation, etc and I can fill in your weigh in early, sometimes excuse you for the week, etc. Likewise, if your weigh in day isn't working with your current schedule, it's very easy to move you to another day, just let me know. I'm happy to help in any way I can. If your message requires privacy, you can always email me at jakrall@cox.net and I'll help if I can...or at least lend an ear while you vent.
Hope you're all having a phenomenal weekend and are planning for a great week ahead! I'm not ready for Monday myself...gonna be a BUSY week! (Is there any other kind?!) LOL! WE WILL SURVIVE!
