@PatriceFitnessPal - thanks for reading my post - no, most of the members from the current studio will not be traveling to the other studio - there aren't more classes added and the times during the week really don't work + there are shortened classes for 30 min - am I going to spend 40 min in the car for a 30 min class - I highly doubt it - I can just as easily do something at home
I'm still wavering on doing classes on Saturday/Sunday- it was so much easier when it's a 5 min drive this is the last weekend there & I feel like crying every time I think about it
I'm really struggling at trying to find a balance - I really have to find time for myself now that the studio will be gone

Best wishes in discovering the path forward. You’ll find your way after testing out what works and doesn’t work. You’re resilient!

Here’s my maintenance report for the week:

    Name: PatriceFitnessPal
    Weigh-in day: Thursday
    PW: 127.3
    CW: 127.9

    SW: 168
    LTD: 40.1 pounds

My target range is 120-130 pounds so I’m at the high end right now, but I’m working on building muscle, improving my flexibility, and strengthening my balance so the scale is just one data point. I’m trying to learn more about my current body composition so I can measure my progress more accurately. I signed up for an account with my health insurance provider to see what options are available to support my goals. I’ll let you know what I learn — one step at a time!

It wasn't a great week for me with respect to nutrition. I enjoyed way too many snacks and sweets and only completely logged my food for 2 days. My exercise and sleep were fairly good. I need to get back on track logging and cut back on snacks and sweets.

Hope you are all keeping well.

    September week 3
Weigh in day: Friday, September 23
    PW: 225.3
    CW: 229.3 ( gained 4.0 lbs; 1.78%)
LTD: ( gained 4.6 lbs; 2.04%) this month (but still down 100.7 pounds from July 2020)

I clearly need to reevaluate my RMR/diet/behavior. This is just unacceptable.

I have been averaging about 12,000 steps per day this last week. I also rode my bike to and from my workout class on Monday and Friday, about a 11 minute bike ride each way abd about 35 to 40 minutes of circuit training with weights at my workout class on Monday Wednesday and Friday. My way is not going down but I think my body fat on the scale went down.

Nice to be back on track and seeing the scale going in the right direction. It was a rollercoaster of a week — hormone replacement therapy is doing a number on my body. I kind of feel like a science experiment right now lol. But I’m hopeful my doc and I will get it all figured out. Still doing water aerobics daily; I’m hoping to get back to Jazzercise this week!

    Hello Shape Shifters!

Saturday is a good day to review our weekly nutrition information and reflect on the various categories: calories, nutrients, and macros.

How did you all do? Were you able to meet your goals? What did you learn? Do you plan to make any adjustments in the coming week?

Tomorrow is our fresh start for the week, so let’s make a plan. Go get those goals!

@KHill875 - I’m glad you are seeing a difference in your body composition as a result of your extra steps, bike riding, and weight lifting. Keep celebrating those non-scale victories (NSV)!

@pedal__power and @frankebrown - It sounds as though you have a plan to make some focused changes in the coming week, reporting …

“I need to get back on track logging and cut back on snacks and sweets.” And “I clearly need to reevaluate my RMR/diet/behavior.”

I’m in a similar situation, after gradually creeping up to the high end of my maintenance range. So, I’m thinking about some manageable - and measurable - goals I can set. I really need to figure out how to build better habits into everyday life. One change I’m going to make is adding protein. I’ll start small with two added proteins with dinner during the week - such as adding a side of tofu or including beans - and making sure my snacks are healthy and protein rich. I try to have a yogurt in the afternoon because it has lots of protein but I usually eat it with fruit. So, maybe I’ll need to cut out the fruit as a way to reduce the carbs/sugars from that part of my diet.

Nice loss this week @bassclef ! What's on your "to do" list for the weekend! I'm heading out to run some errands. Found a great price on a new set of stainless for my kitchen and need to pick up household cleaning supplies from Target. After that, I'm not sure, but I'm halfway through a book I'm hoping to finish this weekend. One of my favorite authors--Brenda Novak. Are you a reader? Who's your favorite author/genre? Hope you have a terrific weekend! Write in and tell us "what's up"?!

@nancyinmo Great loss WTG! I used to do water aerobics until the pool at my local rec center closed...love the way it makes you feel afterward and that it doesn't make your joints sore! Jazzercize...wow, you're really making strides! Good for you...and Onederland is within reach! Enjoy your weekend!

Hey yall, I've not checked in fir a few days. I am feeling better and was able to go back to my part time job at the thrift store this week. Some kind of bug has been going around here and I guess it's what I had. Idr whose post it was that they were talking about their lower extremities being swollen . I've got to watch that myself. Rest up. I'm experiencing some of that myself so I've had back and look to make sure my sodium wasn't too high this week...it was to start the week trying to stay hydrated from the tummy bug but I'm getting back to my lower sodium.

Good morning Shape Shifters. Thursday was the last day I decided to go for 20k steps, so it's back to normal now. I received a fun package that day as well. I found someone online selling off their puzzle collection of 40 years due to moving to a smaller house. So I went through their ads and found 4 I liked. They later discovered that one puzzle I picked wasn't complete, so they included a different puzzle plus 2 free ones that didn't have box. The incomplete one was an impossible puzzle; 750 pieces with no edge and 5 extra pieces to make it more fun. I was mostly interested in the idea of it, so a different puzzle image didn't really bother me. I also got a Bob Ross puzzle, a Disney one of the little mermaid and a set of two flowery valentines puzzels, all 1000 pieces. Here a brand new puzzle costs around 15 euros at least, and I got 5 + 2 free ones for 21 euros total (7,25 of that was shipping). So I was super happy with them. The boxes look a little beat up sometimes, but the pieces are in great shape and that is the important bit.
On Friday I did some chores. Laundry, the 3 week old dishes finally, and I mowed the backyard. After mowing, I went out with Tinus and suddenly I spotted a female sparrowhawk trying to catch some birds on the roof. The birds got saved by my solarpanels; they were able to duck under them and hide. The sparrowhawk sat on my roof and I took 3 seconds to debate if I was going to sprint back inside for my camera. I decided to go for it, with my feet covered in grass, tracking dirt all over the livingroom. Thankfully, she was still on my roof, but only for another 30 seconds or so. The pictures I managed to get weren't great, yet I am still happy I got any at all. I will share the best picture below.

Yesterday was fairly busy. My dad came over for a visit. We decided to go to the bigger town nearby for some shopping which was moderately successfull. I went hunting for some new postcards. I would like to slowly start postcrossing again, which I haven't done for 5 years at least. So a while back I gave away all my cards and stickers and stamps to my mom since she is pretty active with it. My aunt that passed away recently also joined the fun, so I figured it would be nicer for them to have the stuff instead of everything sitting here untouched in a box. So now I have to start from scratch again, but I don't mind. I found two stores with a decent amount of postcards; the aquarel cards are really pretty. I hung up the card holder a few days ago with brute force (hard wall, too lazy to drill). I will put my received cards in there, but for now it is holding the cards I bought.

The puzzle I am currently working on is proving to be very hard. A lot of similar textures and colors. I hope I can finish it today, but I think the last 25% will be very rough. I will of course share it when it is finished. That is all for today. Happy Sunday everyone <3
