ALL-TIME HIGH: 217.0 on 02/29/2008!
SW: 159.0 (12/01: Post-Thanksgiving - UGH!) This was my December starting weight.
PW: 154.6 (12/08: Week of Atonement!)
CW: 153.8 (12/15: Back on Track!)
For my "Path to Lifestyle Change" program my starting weight was 09/01/22. My 1st and current weight loss stats are very interesting!
I need to be more consistent about checking in and reporting. Now that things are a bit less hectic, I should be able to do so. Cheers everyone!

Here’s my weekly weigh-in report:
Name: PatriceFitnessPal
Weigh-in day: Thursday
SW: 168
PW: 130.9
CW: 131.6
LTD: 36.4
I’m still hurt, but slowly getting better. Since I re-started exercising last Thursday, I’ve only worked out with the personal trainer for two 30-minute sessions. My winter conditioning group is off for two weeks starting on Monday so I’m struggling a bit to get out of this rut. My younger son is driving back from South Carolina tomorrow, and he’s always good about exercising with me, so I’m going to ask him if he wants to be my ‘accountability buddy” while he’s home.
Best wishes, Shape Shifters!4 -

Hello Shape Shifters. I finished another puzzle yesterday. Tinus was getting in the way a lot, so it was hard to get puzzle time in. He was also napping on the couch so I couldn't sit for it properly. I was really impatient so I ended up finishing it last night in the dark with a flashlight. My back wasn't very happy with that (I did some stretches so it's fine). I really love the picture and the quality of the puzzle was great as well. Happy Friday everyone5 -

Happy Friday, Shape Shifters!
I pulled my hip flexor helping out at hockey practice last weekend. The coach started the practice with full speed drills in a cold arena and I wasn't properly warmed up...ugh! Walking is okay, but I've not been getting enough exercise to balance out or get ahead of some extra calories I've been consuming. I fully logged food on only 3 days this week.
I haven't had a chance to catch up on all your posts, hope you all are keeping well!

So I have to share my story this morning.
Last night I went to bed late around 11 and I get up at 4;30 to workout for about 90 minutes and morning I was like this was a great workout, I am all sweaty and legs shaky…I felt accomplished until my husband came to wake me up because he knows I didn’t like to miss my exercise…that great workout was just a dream! Then I thank him for waking me up and I told him, well at least is the weekend and he said…nooo it is Friday…
Well. I only got 45 minutes this morning but I did it laughing at my self and my vivid deams.

@PatriceFitnessPal I hope you recover soon. It’s so frustrating being injured.2

Happy Friday MFP!!! Hope every9ne had a great week! The cat came home from the vet on Tuesday. She's doing really good and obviously thankful to be alive. My daughter was sick on Tuesday so I had to call out of work at home with her, but we're sure staff there that I ended up being called in in the evening after my husband got home anyways. Then I had the last two days off spend it hanging with the cat and finishing up some Christmas stuff and being lazy obviously LOL3

@CasandraW - Thanks for the encouragement! I’m determined to get out of this funk when my son returns! My husband has been traveling for most of December so my eating routine and exercise have both been off kilter. With my sons home, I’ll likely cook more balanced meals at regular times, instead of eating leftovers at odd times. 🙄
@Nataliewr0403 - I appreciate the laugh — such a funny story! I’m glad you didn’t just ditch the exercise, 45 minutes is better than nothing!2 -

I dropped my brother off at the airport yesterday. Now, I have to work on losing this weight I've gained during his visit. 🤨2 -
@pedal__power - I hope you feel better soon!
@Pupowl - I always enjoy seeing the pictures you share.
Thanks to everyone who posts inspiring photos. I’d like to improve in this area.
I’m also impressed with all the step numbers and walking reports. I should probably walk more while recovering from my sciatica. I definitely need to add more yoga to stretch out, since I don’t do that enough on my own without a structured class. I think I’ll also look into the recommendations on how much to walk. I’m guessing some movement is helpful but I can push myself too much sometimes so I’m not sure if rest is better.
I’m trying to figure out the right balance! I hope everyone is doing well!2 -

Last weeks weight gives me a loss of 7.4lbs for the year, and a new 10+ year low. The biggest achievement for me this year is a better sense of self and well being. I’m in a much better place mentally than I’ve been in years. Thank you all for listening and offering advise and comfort over the past year.
My goal is to get to 35% body fat, I’m currently sitting right at 40%. I think this will happen around the 200lb mark if I can maintain my muscle mass. I put my current states in spoiler just for reference4 -
@Pupowl I agree with @PatriceFitnessPal I love the pictures! I somehow struggle to post them myself, and haven't even tried the "spoiler"
Tinus is a very good looking cat. I had a friend growing up who had a similar looking cat, but can't remember her name. She was a very affectionate cat. That coloring- is it called blue?
Below is last year's xmas photo of Buddy and Alaska! Happy Holidays everyone!

Sorry for being late. Christmas crazies. I’m still dealing with knee issues, though they’ve improved a bit. I can navigate up and down stairs without pain, but my knee swells and gets stiff after 5-10 minutes of walking. I’m taking daily notes of my issues and will likely get a cortisone injection soon, but hopefully after the first of the year.
Still have gifts to buy and wrap, house to clean and cards to get out. Kids will be here starting Tuesday so everything has to be ready by Monday. I’m trying to keep the stress eating to a minimum.5 -
Hey ya'll:
Sounds like everyone has had a pretty good week this week. I'm still dealing with grief from the loss of my fur baby, so I'm not pushing myself to do much "holiday" anything...treating each day just like another day, but it will be nice to have time off from work...next week will be a four day weekend due to Friday off for Christmas Eve and Monday off for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to lots of holiday movies and reading.
Love reading and seeing everyone else's decorations and pet pictures @SavageMrsMoose and @Pupowl all festive in red and green...who doesn't love cat and dog pics?! Lots of walking this week...did my steps every day and ate fairly well...drank lots of water, so no issues there. All in all, it's been a good week. My big NSV was not eating out...I cooked every day...love my air fryer, that's for sure...sometime this weekend, I'm doing another big batch of baked chicken so I'll have lot of leftovers for dinners next week, with only some steamed veggies to prepare to finish the meals. For Christmas Eve and Day, I'll likely have Chinese food...since it's my favorite, but even there I'm watching what I order...teriyaki chicken on a stick (pure protein) and probably chicken and broccoli...veggie egg rolls.
OK, back to some walking and my Christmas book I'm reading...a Very Nantucket Christmas...hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
I'll pop back in later to post next week's challenge. Any ideas or requests?!! Let me know...

@SavageMrsMoose
Tinus is a persian cat. I believe the coloring mentioned in his vet book is silver tabby. While he does look pretty, I am personally very against breeding persians like Tinus. His face is really extreme which can cause a lot of issues with eyes, teeth and airway. I got him from the shelter, but he looks like a pure breed to me.
Using the spoiler is easy, you just put [ spoiler ], upload a picture and then close again with [/ spoiler ], without the spaces, hope that helps.2 -
Congratulations on the losses at a difficult time of year @SavageMrsMoose, @Pupowl, and @mulecanter! 👏👏🎉👏👏
Do you have any tips to share?
@LaurieWrobo - Stay warm! 🥶 I was thinking about taking a family trip to Boston early in the new year, but it’s been cold enough here in northern Virginia.
My ‘southern son’ - who is studying in South Carolina - spent the summer in Boston and lived at my mother’s house. So, he likes the idea of visiting during the warmer season instead of our traditional holiday visit just after Christmas through the first week of January. I suspect his first New Year’s Eve as a 21-year-old (now allowed to drink alcohol as an adult) is influencing his decision to spend the holidays with his local friends, too. He’s looking forward to attending a surprise party for one of his friends tonight, which he’s been helping to plan with his friend’s family.
My ‘northern son’ enjoys the different seasons, and he’ll be returning to Boston on January 4th. His classes don’t start until later in the month but he’s working to build some healthier habits and wants to practice his new sleep routine, cook more at home instead of ordering meals and having them delivered, etc. He also wants to renew his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license so he can work as an EMT during the summer break this year. I’ll probably take a short trip to Boston before his classes start and spend a bit more time with him while visiting my mom, siblings, extended family, and friends. My husband is there now, taking his Dad on local excursions from his senior care facility and attending a holiday celebration with the staff and other residents.3
