Yes, walking is my preferred way to exercise. I try to do a bit of hiking too. I used to walk or hike almost every day and I used to be able to walk at a fast speed and do some hills and walk for longer periods of time but my body and piling up health problems have made even regular, slow speed, flat surface walking for shorter periods of time difficult for me.
Hope you are able to choose wisely at your pot luck. I usually take a small amount of whatever interests me and if something is really worth it after tasting it then I might go back for a little more. Maybe you can take a healthy dish.
When I go to restaurants I often look the menu up ahead of time so I can make my decision before I go.2 -

Pretty good week! I feel fully recovered from the COVID now. SO got back to eating my "normal" foods, started tracking again, started some light exercise. It all pays off.

Been lifting again. Still riding my bike. Got 170 miles to cover this month.
Nice loss! I am trying to find some leg strength training exercises as the doctor wants me to strengthen my legs. I don’t really want to buy a gym membership just for this. Maybe bands? So far so good this week.
Logged every bite every day ✔️
Walked at least 30mins everyday since Sunday ✔️
Brought lunch every day ✔️
Today I worked late and hubby got Chinese food & some for me. Instead I stopped at grocery store on the way home and got some stuff to make an amazing salad! Normally I would’ve just eaten the Chinese. I’ve tried losing again and again over the last few years but this week seemed different. I definitely feel more motivated and all in! Hopping I stick with it this time
My kids (11& will be 13 tomorrow! 😩🥰) are even waking with me each night & the pup is getting his exercise too!
Glad to be apart of this group! I’m working on
being more active here… but I’m more of a lurker 👀
Lurk all you want. Everyone uses the group differently. What a great NSV! Keep the momentum going.Slimmersixties wrote: »Slimmersixties Friday weigh in

10lb went on so fast and it's coming off so slow! Living at home instead of in the rv means too many temptations. Can't wait till 31st January, back to the rv and 2 months travelling Morocco! Goal Weight here I come!!
Fantastic loss! I here you about it coming off slow. I am jealous of your travelling. I have always wanted to go to Morocco.
It's a trade off .. yes i'm free to travel the world, but no family, kids or grandkids at Christmas!1 -
Welcome back x good to see you here again1 -

Thank goodness the festivities are finally over! Not only do we have Xmas and new year in Spain but the big celebration is 3 Kings on 5/6 January, when the kids get all their presents (it's like another Xmas day). Partied out!! 8lb up on pre Xmas weight and just want some of my normality back!!2

I totally understand the walking. I had to stop walking about a year and a half ago. It’s frustrating. They put the sign up for the potluck on Saturday and I saw it on our way grocery shopping. Of course, I forgot to buy something. I ordered a couple of desserts from a local bakery.lindamtuck2018 wrote: »

I am so glad the holidays are over. In Newfoundland, we leave our Christmas trees up until January 6th, old Christmas Day. I don’t do that anymore.JimBoden3
