Horse day! I got to ride my Jasper today - for such a young horse, he is so willing to go off alone, no spooking or other unwanted excitements, lots of good attitude. I think he is going to be a lot of fun as he learns. We also went to a horse expo in Lloydminister and saw a couple of cool demos with horse trainers and all. We had a long conversation about mules - always wondering how we can work more with the almost 3 year-old Emmett photos to follow....
I'm so glad to see all the steps and exercise, the gluten awareness and general experimentation with eating. Go for it!
Last two weigh-ins for the week and we're good to go for Sunday morning tallies:

@jugar
So sorry I forgot to weigh in…
I’ll take this as my first skipped week please
Too much going on sorry7 -
Ok, I'm back in full swing now.
We've had a great couple weeks with the grands. They are such a joy! Everyone lives close, but we hardly have time to all get together. Two weeks in a row is a blessing. At 3, 2, 1 & 1, it's always an adventure. Back to reality this week.
Yesterday was productive. My boyfriend and I cut the yard. Then we loaded everything up and cut my son's yard and my daughter's yard. Total of 11 acres. That was definitely a work out.

I'm not reporting steps this week as I forgot my fitbit three days in a row. I left it on the charger when I went to work.
I've stepped up the weight training a bit. I want to do another Savage Race in September. I had forgotten how challenging those are and how much upper body strength is needed. That could be the reason for the tick-up in weight. I'm wearing all of the same clothes, and they aren't tight. I'll take that as a NSV. Maybe the muscle? Weighs the same but takes up less space.7 -

Congrats to our leaderboard winners this week!! 1-2% loss is great.. keep building on it this next week!!
Apr 15 steps: 7947 steps
That's right folks, for those of us reporting it's already time to report on week 2 (Apr 9-15).
I got up this morning and got my butt on the Peloton. I've done two 30 minute rides already and it's just after 10 a.m. I MAY do more today.. we'll see.. I am behind on my weekly challenge so I'm trying to make up some ground.7 -

Definitely want to start posting more on here soon for days other than weigh ins. Classes for the semester end this week (thank god) so I'll hopefully be less frazzled and more present soon!
I haven't been walking to work every day (sometimes busy, sometimes because of weather), but I have been doing it at least half the days and it obviously seems to be helping (:8 -
Today was great.
Over an hour of Peloton, 30 minutes of strength, a walk in the sunshine..
I always feel better when movement is the star of the day!8 -

I kept thinking today is Saturday, even though I know I have to work tomorrow. Weekends go by way too fast!
Today was my second perfect day in a row, but I have been on track for food the last 6 days 😊 For some reason weekends tend to be easier than week days 🤷🏼♀️6 -
Hey all! Quick check in. Steps have been great. I’m on a big streak for meeting step goals. Up over 12,000 today. I’m really tired. Time for bed. Lots of packing this weekend. My daughters family moves tomorrow. I have some closing prep for us. Big week here. Lots of hurdles completed. Getting exciting!!! If only the packing fairies would come at night and pack everything. Ha!
@EvMakesChanges Congratulations on your new position.
@jugar The party sounds like fun. Glad you are enjoying your horse too.
Better head up to bed.7 -
Woo hoo! We had some good solid leaders for last week - thanks for showing us the way!

Some derailment here, but some good choices too (threw the remainder of the bag of chocolate chips into the garden!)

@ashleycarole86 clearly I 'undergoaled' myself at 5000, now that I get a sense of an average day, I'd like to bump that to 8,000 - I'll have to deliberately walk before or after work to get there. Gardening season makes the weekends easy. Glad you're feeling better and well enough to hop on the Peloton.

@LoraineGB sounds worth it to me - I hope the pounds come off as quickly as they went on. It's probably mostly water weight anyway!
@micki48 good luck with everything, I hope your son settles in quickly and your move goes smoothly.
@PlaneMonkey can I come stay with you for a month? Happy to haul stones and I would be so active it'd be great
@wishfuljune I was in exactly the same position which is why I started working with a dietician. I'm not shredding the pounds, but I do feel happy with the direction we're moving in.
@jugar sounds like you're having an amazing time. I think we're long overdue some pony pics though
@carlsoda I hope things go as planned for you.
@EvMakesChanges congratulations on the new job!
Lots of movement which is great; the better weather definitely helps.6 -

Happy Monday!
Does anyone else feel like their just...garbled...and can't get a clear focus on things? I've felt this way for a few weeks and don't know what I need to do in order to get myself in order. I'm so uninspired and 'blah', that it's seeping into everything. I used to be to structured and focused with daily lifting, yoga, etc., but now it takes everything I've got to get moving.
Anyways, last week was so-so. I managed a few runs, and yesterday was supposed to be another 10k run, but
a. it was my husband's 40th bday, so he didn't want to detach from me and
b. I took our pup to the dog park on Saturday and think I pulled a muscle in my inner thigh when I caught myself from being taken out by an overzealous cattle dog.
I've been hurting since then and figured it might not be smart to run 6+ miles. It killed me to skip it because it was our first day of 60 degrees (and it'll be back to the 30s this week) but I've gotta "listen to my body" even if I grumble about it.

@DD265 I definitely could have used your help with those rocks.
This pile:
Became a 14" height extension to my 20ft retaining wall. Here's the before and after.
I have to order gravel for the backfill so there will be more rocks to move around! Come on by....
