Good Morning,
My steps for yesterday May 10= 14,892
I walked to work again, and then had a short 45min walk with my daughter last night before the rain started.
@Itadakimasu7 guess what? You have "glitter" hair lol That is what I call my grey hair, it sounds nicer saying my glitter is showing
Thank you @Sbus12 for the info on shoes that work for you. I work on my feet all day as a postal worker inside on mostly concrete floors. When i'm up front on the counter we have lino and fatigue mats, so that helps a little. I believe if I lose weight, wear supportive shoes, and do my stretches I can hopefully keep the pain down.
Have a great day Shape Shifters!

@Pupowl , guess who finally got a sleepin. Of course it's a cloudy rainy day but if it's why I got to sleep in hey. I'm hoping I'm back on schedule.4
-
@Armygirlarmyof1 It was the same here, so I was hoping for more sleep as well! And then Tinus started meowing non stop at 5:30, so that was great. Still got up before 6, ugh! He is lucky I love him.5
-
@JenHul - Sometimes people get in this beautiful grey hair that kinda shimmers, really pretty, would love to have that kind of glitter! Mine grew in snow white. My frizzier hair managed to get frizzier. Luckily I live in a hipster area and people think I braid my hair to be cool (do people say cool anymore??) But uh' I can't do anything with it, lol, so I braid it to keep it from poofing out like Bob Ross, cause' I can't pull it off like he did! Sometimes though I do put colored extensions in and braid those. :-P
Hope everyone is having a great day! It's sunny here and it's like I challenged myself to get good and sunburned today. I mowed / weed wacked some more and road my bike outside. 65 degrees (f) and sunny on the Oregon Coast!6 -
Hey y'all:
@PatriceFitnessPal I'm so glad you're back...love your lovely posts...hope you had a nice time with the family!
@pupowl Loved today's card and your lovely pictures...now if you and @izzyred9400 would stop kicking my booty in our step challenge! Grrr! LOL
Didn't sleep well last night...overslept this morning so my walking before walk went out the window. Made it to work on time and walked when I got home...also worked on my morning break around the office. Hit my daily step goal, but hope to still do one more little jaunt...we'll see. Going to lie down first.
You'll get a kick out of this...I've been working really hard and haven't eaten out for two full weeks! Needed something today and bought myself a pkg of crunch donuts and was so excited ...they were molded and I had to throw them out. That's the kind of day I had...took something for lunch this morning, but it wasn't enough and I was nearly dizzy I was so hungry today...drank lots of water and had one small bag of chips, but came home and heated up some baked chicken and beans...certainly felt better. Going to lie down for a bit and then see how I feel. Guess I wasn't meant to have those little donuts anyway! LOL
Hope your day was better than mine! Thank God tomorrow is Friday!

Good morning Shape Shifters. Here is the daily card. Happy Friday everyone4
-
Good Morning,
I have today off from work to drive a friend to her apt. (she is post op from surgery and can't drive right now)
It feels weird to have a Friday off, but I kinda like it
Steps for May 11= 14,932
Have a great Day everyone.4 -
Happy Friday. Our outing was good last night and went to some hipster place where the average range was 25 and quite noisy. It wasn't my choice but it was fun reliving the noisiness of my youth. Apparently happy hour was from 5-7 and our reservations were at 7 so the noise died down shortly after.
I managed to have 2 drinks and the food was upscale asian and pretty healthy. We did walk to and from the restaurant which was a total of 2 miles or 45 minutes, so I got some activity in. It was rest day from weights.
Todays schedule: just finished a 30 min HITT and burned 200 calories. Hurray. I may bike down to the museums and get some sketching or some photography.
Have a great day.4 -

Happy Friday! The scale is bouncing up today and I'm feeling bloated. This week I jogged almost everyday but didn't reach my step goal and I fit in some stretching and one shorter workout with weights. My oldest has taken over my hybrid bike so I treated myself to a new one. I picked it up yesterday and took it for a little test ride last night. It's so fast...I'm planning to get back into a routine of going for a ride in the mornings before others are up....just need to get to bed earlier, which isn't easy as I like to spend most evenings playing music after my kids on their way bed and I don't want to give that up either.
That's a really touching daily card today @Pupowl ! Love seeing your walking photos too, what a beautiful place!

After work, Hazel and I did about a 2 mile hike/nature walk yesterday (Thursday). This was the best pic I could get with my phone. She was a happy girl to be a W-A-L-K. Major sniff fest!

After the weekend I was able to get my appetite under control and back on track, but still have an uptick this week.
Starting next week I'm cycling 5 days a week to get used to more consecutive days on the saddle leading up to the ride in July. Unfortunately I my weightlifting progress will slow, but I'll use this as an opportunity to drop more weight.4 -
Jason was able to put weight on his ankle yesterday and actually walked a bit without the crutches. We pulled the little boat back out of the water and stored it. Craig was the only one who went out on the boat this trip, but I think it will work great for the futre until the lake comes back up. It's still turkey season, so the plan is to go hunting after work to see if we can get one. Wild turkey is a bit tougher, but still pretty tasty. We will make the drive back home tomorrow.
@bearchested - What kind of ride are you doing this July?
@Cyncia85 - Hazel looked super happy in the pic!
@dcresider - Glad you had fun last night. And the picture of your cat, he looks very content with life.
@pupowl - Really liked the card today.3 -
I’m a day late with my weigh-in. I weighed myself yesterday but I guess I forgot to post my report because it was a heavy work day. My apologies.

I’m hoping this gain is due to a heavy workout yesterday, but it’s more likely all the restaurant food I had in Boston and the drive-through meal I had at Bojangles while traveling from NC to VA. I didn’t get fries or a drink with the meal but I ate three fried chicken strips and drank a mocha Frappuccino— oh, and there may have been a Reese’s peanut butter cup involved 🙄. This is a good reminder not to buy food ‘for my sons’ while they’re home. I bought the peanut butter cup to share 🤦♀️. Luckily - or unluckily?! - my son didn’t get the gene that says there’s always room after a meal for dessert, but I couldn’t let it just sit there on the car console right in front of me. 🤣😂🤣
Lesson learned. 🤔✅ Have a great Friday, ShapeShifters!4 -

I'm originally from the state of Iowa (born, raised, educated, and met my wife in the state), and still have a lot of friends and family there. Every year there is a bike ride across the state called RAGBRAI, 500 miles over 7 days. This year is the 50th anniversary, and I have friends doing it for the first time this year so I decided to join them. I've always enjoyed biking but only got into road cycling and longer distances this year. It's become one of my favorite hobbies.4 -

got a new scale that auto syncs with mfp. doesn't agree with my old scale but we'll just carry on from here. so many new metrics to look at!4 -
It's the start of my weekend so my son and I hit up some of the new food trucks in town. First stop was disappointing so we hit a different truck and had a better burrito lunch. I guestimated my calories pretty high and will strive to keep the rest of the day in check. Tomorrow is intermittent fasting day. I bought some fresh strawberries for later.
The X-ray of my ankle came back and it's normal arthritis / wear and tear and nothing like 'needs replaced' or is terribly damaged. So clean bill of health on it. I've been doing some Sean Vigue Yoga and that has helped. My only test that came back a little out of whack was thyroid, which was slightly in the hyperthyroid range. With luck, soon I'll be back to running at least a bit!
Have a good weekend everyone!6 -

Thank you @pupowl...and it's been super busy at work too, so trust me, I'm ready for a nice quiet weekend with nothing but walking to do...I've sure been sleeping well at night...so walking helps with that too!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning Shape Shifters. Yesterday the weather was a little boring, but the forest was super pretty. We had a lot of rain and fairly warm weather, so everything is green. I didn't keep my socks dry but it was fine. I enjoyed myself, except for the mosquitoes. I will get some bug spray next week. Happy Saturday everyone4
