Happy Friday! We had rain all week and today the sun is finally out, which feels so uplifting!
The past month or so, I've been feeling in a rut, not being careful with nutrition and sleep and I was stuck hovering around 200lbs+. This past week I've been able to better my nutrition by cutting out snacks in the evening, getting to bed a bit earlier to try to get more sleep and I worked out for 30mins on 4 mornings before work. Seems it was a success for me. I feel more energetic with nicer weather, so hoping to continue. I'd really like to get back to 195 before the end of May.

@Pupowl sorry to hear about your sleeping troubles. We're big into black out curtains but I can't stand sleeping with earplugs.
@Armygirlarmyof1 Wow, you've been through a lot. I admire your positive attitude and resilience!
@sbus12 I hear you on needing to get away from the computer for walks. I also work a desk job. Sometimes, with certain types of meetings, I am able to take them as a walking meeting on my phone. I actually find that I then concentrate and engage better in the conversation as I can easily get distracted sitting at my computer. It doesn't always work out that I can do it, but it's great when I can.4 -
This group rocks. I haven’t been able to get on here every day, will try better next week, but it’s great reading everyone’s posts. This week went by so fast for me. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
And happy Cinco de Mayo everyone.

PW: 238.9

Off to a bad start! (but 240.1 is a 7-day average, and I was 0.7 lbs below that this morning)4 -

Starting weight 172.6
Total loss: 28.4
I couldn’t finish my 10 mile run. It was just so hot and humid and I was tired after a day of travel. I don’t have to leave the house for another 2 hours so I’m going to try and finish on the treadmill. 3.5 miles left. Ughh!!! Wish me luck!7 -

I was both happy and disappointed this morning. The way this week was tracking I thought I'd have a gain. After traveling the last couple weeks plus missing workouts due to early meetings, I've gotten back on track this week and my appetite has been in full force. I've been doing well hitting my protein, fiber, and water goals, but also have been snacking on too much sugar.
But I thought my weigh in last week was 189.6 - turns out Thursday and Saturday were 189.6 and 189.4, but Friday was 190. I'll take it. This is the first time I'm under 190 in about 5 years, and I have more muscle mass than back then.6 -

You must be back in Houston. My garage was 80 degrees and humid during my workout this morning. I have a large drum fan, but I was a sweaty mess this morning.3 -

There's that expected water loss since cutting sugar and tracking portions. Going for Korean BBQ tonight, bring on the salt and protein!7 -

@frankwbrown and @pedal__power awwsome steps!!
@bearchested and @ganival great weight loss! Way to stay consistent this week!’
Happy Friday everyone! 70s and sunny in Chicagoland! Love this weather! Makes me want to get out there and walk!
Yesterday I was low on steps and took an extra long walk and hit my 10,000! It’s been a long time since I have achieved almost a week of 10,000!
Continuing to meal plan and portion control. Stayed below my calorie goal this week too! Even if the scale isn’t nice of Monday, I know I’ve made positive changes!

@Pupowl -- Your kitty looks like he needs a top hat and a monocle. He so fluffy and adorable. Painting sucks, been painting my house all last week inside, just some old walls though, nothing difficult like what you're having done.
I have an extra chair at my desk for our new kitties. They follow me around all day.
This week I've been very stressed out.
My ankle is still squishy - that joint might be in real trouble. Doctor appointment coming up. I'm cross training, hiking, walking, stationary bike and mountain bike. I miss running. That is how I used to deal with stress I guess, because without it I'm kinda a basket case.

@Itadakimasu7 Hope your ankle is okay. Totally get it about the running for stress relief. It keeps me sane. Nothing else comes close.
@bearchested - yup- back in Houston. I was able to finish my run on the treadmill but I really prefer being outdoors. I just got overheated. I’ll try again Sunday.3 -
@looneycatblue
Is your current weight from today? And what day would you like to weigh in for the group? Also if you know your highest weight, that would be nice as well.

@Itadakimasu7 I’m sorry to hear about your ankle! I know the stress when an injury derails you! I’ve had an intermittent foot issue that continues to return and it’s frustrating! I hope you get some answers and a good treatment plan for healing!3

@jessicakrall8 - before I forget- can I please be excused from the next two weeks weigh-in? Next Friday is my daughters graduation and then we are taking a mother/daughter trip before she starts studying for the bar!1
