@IDebraK I'm glad to see you back, and glad that you will be having some time off after this crazy and difficult time. I have moved you to Saturday weigh-ins, and recorded this CW as if it was submitted yesterday. Enjoy those days off after your 2 work days
@ashleycarole86 I think I was with you in spirit yesterday and had a might out of control eating disaster too! We really have to stop the telepathic stuff. It'll get us into trouble for sure. Or maybe not - we did great on our steps on the last 2 weeks' challenges, so now it is time to get our food game up to scratch. Go!
Monday peeps - here you go too:
@CarolAnnM2
@MoonlitMuse
@cleaneater80
@adrimango
Still a few Sunday weigh-ins due:
@TessieMac833
@strong_fit_ells
@honeygldchelly
@graceojo999
Thanks! Let's hope we'll have a green week, following the lead of our top greenies for week 3 @project_shan @wishfuljune and @adrimango - you inspire, and we need it!4 -
Sunday weigh in
PW 110.3kg
Cw 108.3kg
This week was better than the last one. I would just focus on being consistent this week, walking more, and not having take away. I drank a lot of water this week and feel good. I also did intermittent fasting on some days.6 -
@jugar it is Monday, so I hope your boy is on the move and with you soon
I had a ridiculously full weekend, but it did feel long as a result. Friday I worked in the morning then we did lots of shopping. Saturday I got a bit of time in at the allotment, went to two charity plant sales, then we went to my in laws for MILs birthday. It was lovely, but we didn't get back until 9pm in the end. Yesterday I spent the morning doing chores/errands, and the afternoon was 5 hours at the allotment, planting a lot of what I'd bought - and catching quite a bit of sun.
I'm back at work today (boooo) and feeling pretty worn out. But the weather is due to stay decent, so it's back down the allotment tonight to make the most of it!
I've been forgetting to track, but I've decided that I don't need to log the timings of my meals and it's better to log 'muesli & milk' against breakfast, rather than not at all. Photos of my snacks and evening meals (occasionally lunches) are the most important as that's where sugar content or portion size is questionable.4 -

Rough week full of bad choices.
What a great name for a short story or teen grunge-band! @alydanbeads I hope you have a better week.
I've been driving a lot this weekend with one tiny "walk", dare I say "meander" at my step-mother's house in Massachusetts. It was great to see Dad in his new Memory-care-digs although 3 more people on his floor have Covid so, there'll be fewer people for him to reunite with when he's out of his own quarantine today.
I returned home in time to get ready to go out for supper for OH and my anniversary (we call it the "family" anniversary because May 21, 2017 was our "public" wedding 8-months prior to the first (on my birthday Sept, 2016).
I plan to eat more reasonably for the rest of this week in order to continue on the downhill slope towards the next decade down!
@YinxFed Loved all the photos of the park and woman! You look amazing! I'd love to take some walks with you...too bad we live on different continents. Astral travel, anyone?
Have a great Monday, everyone.
I'll be back soon.

We had Malia's Graduation party on Sat. There were probably 60ish people that are by but we have a ton food left over. Her Graduation ceremony is today. Tonight, Addison, my middle schooler, get inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Wednesday I have Kindergarten Promotion and Friday is my last day of work. I barely did anything yesterday. I am exhausted.6

Heckuva super mom! That sounds like a lot of pride and even more exhaustion. Barely doing anything on the day after all that is required. And maybe for some more time too! Hats off to you3 -
Happy Victoria Day! I know that is only here in Canada (any maybe elsewhere in the Commonwealth), but everyone deserves to think of a chunky, cranky royal today. It is not a very popular holiday here in Québec, but it is the official opening day for summer gardening and all the fabulous little cantines that serve poutine. Good thing I don't like that stuff! It's everywhere all summer. Almost as scary as Victoria's visage.
My spotted butt friend will only begin his voyage Eastwards this afternoon - there were some delays, so I won't see him until Friday or Saturday... I hope he fares well! I know the transport people take extra good care of them, stop frequently for watering, and do all the good things to take care of drivers and cargo, but it is nerve-wracking all the same. Can't wait until he is ensconced in his new digs.
Have a great Monday even if Victoria is not giving you the day off!

Today is the best day I have had since the end of March. I walked to and from work and just got in a sneaky 30 min Tabata class. I have stayed on course for food so far and have a chicken dish planned for later on.
I am struggling. It's been a rough couple of months but I am hoping I can build on today, one step at a time.

Job Offer! No Salary! Only Glory!
Team WaistAways could use a Motivator. @ashleycarole86 and I are the collectors of all numbers and the whole team does a great job encouraging each other. This is all wonderful - BUT it helps our experience a great deal to have someone who starts fires, raises the participation rates, and gets things rolling. This is not just about cheering successes and supporting members through rough bits. We all do brilliantly at that already. This would be more for someone who would come up with some internal challenges (like the non-zero days, mini-goal consistency, etc.), post external links that are interesting or useful, read great stuff and talk about it, propose discussion topics, etc. etc. The sky's the limit. It also gives all of us a point person if we have any brilliant ideas but lack the time to put them into action.
Being the Team Motivator should not be a huge burden, but it works best if you have a bit of time every day to follow up, post something, or whatever occurs to you. You would work with the co-captains to bounce around ideas. You might snoop around the other teams to see what they're up to, and maybe even do a 2-team faceoff or short-term challenge - anything goes.
If you're interested, we could set up a zoom call to talk it over. We could have more than 1 if volunteers are coming out of the woodwork! Just post here or send a message, and we'll get to it. I think it will be fun to inject some new energy into our team.Tally ho!4 -

I'm surprised to see a loss this week, honestly. That's 3 weeks in a row!6 -

Steps. I posted last week too. I know it’s too late for the week but thought I’d post to have it for the month.
I took a 26 minute walk around the new neighborhood tonight. Not a lot but it’s something. Got to get back to normal. If I can remember what that is.5 -
@ashleycarole86 some exercise numeros for you -
Sunday - 12419 + 30 minutes bike
Monday - 11701 + 20 minutes strength + 45 min. bike
Thanks!3 -
@adrimango a 3 week green streak!! Fabulous job! Lead on
@micki48 Love the steps - and I'm glad you didn't correct your weight on Saturday - that way you don't do the celebration cupcakes, right? They're hard to handle with your fingers crossed anyhow...
I'm just fresh off the exercise bike, and need to get rinsed off and ready for bed. My horse is having his first night on the road and out of Alberta Hope he's doing OK. I'll be on tenterhooks until he gets here!5 -

Morning all
I was a teary mess yesterday - I don't have many PMS symptoms but being OTT emotional is definitely one of them. I asked OH to get me some chocolate and crisps (any cravings get worse too) because I knew if I went to the shop, I would BUY EVERYTHING. He did, and then I was fighting back tears because he also got me a meal deal to have for lunch today. These hormones have a lot to answer for!
Had a fantastic training session this morning. 45kg back squat; he wants to go heavier but it takes a while for my shoulders to get comfortable with the weight sitting on them, as my shoulders are often tense and therefore tender. 45kg might well be a PB though. 85kg deadlift is definitely a PB! My legs would do 100kg (or more) but my grip can't, and I'm not bothered about chasing it right now. We also did 25kg overhead squats; by that point my body was starting to fail and after a couple of safe-but-shaky sets we called it there. I did tweak my lower back cleaning the bar for the last set, so I might have a bath at lunch time to get some heat into it.
Until then, back to back meetings.6 -
I'm trying a new trick this week, thought I'd share - I blocked my calendar for lunch and a walk each day this week. I'm hoping that helps me simply take the time for both. Last week I had days where I didn't leave myself enough time to make something healthy and take a little walk. Gotta put myself on the list!3
-
@DD265 your lifting is impressive! Congrats on the PB - hopefully it will help cancel out the PMS. Those huge emotional swings are the thing I miss the least since entering the rather blissfully mellow post menopause phase of my life. Your sweetie sounds like a real sweetie!
@adrimango well done on the calendar planning. I used to put gym time and walks into my agenda as meetings or appointments that I could not miss - it helped a lot. You belong on the list!
@LoraineGB I hope your 2nd perfect day is going as well as my 1st one. So far breakfast and lunch have been truly excellent, I did my practicing, I'm heading out for some garden work and will do my workout before making dinner. Let me know how you're doing!4 -

@DD265 Great lifting. I’m impressed. I remember you mentioning starting a family…and you mentioned weepy, hormones, PMS etc….any chance you may be pregnant? My radar went off. You don’t have to answer if you’re not comfortable but just thought I’d put that out there.
@jugar Hoping your horse is traveling happily. I know you’ll be relieved when he arrives. Looking forward to seeing you on him.
Got some more things unpacked tonight. But geez I have too much stuff yet I don’t want to surrender it. Ahhhh
Sunday hubby and I went to a nearby Arboretum. I found my favorite spot and there were some beautiful roses.

Love the new profile pic @micki48
Well @jugar and @LoraineGB I hadn't seen your posts about the perfect day until tonight but guess what? I joined you ladies.
Got up, started the day with water, tracked all my food, hit 10K steps, no alcohol.. it felt good. I also had mega terrible work stress and was near tears on the way home (with no one there to console me as everyone is travelling) and I didn't choose to soothe with food.
Hooray!6
