It's a beautiful day at the trailer... unfortunately the heat that's coming is keeping our wildfire risk high, and not helping the ones already burning.

I love a day like today. It started out pretty lazy. I got up extra early so that I could take my time over everything, it seems. I got a bit stuck in that inertia and did not feel like doing much, had a long talk with my mother, ate too much for lunch. But the day turned completely around after that. I got my hair chopped off to its usual summer look (lost a good half pound, I swear ), did some errands, and then came home ready to shrug off the sluggishness. I went out to my big vegetable garden just to see how long it will be before I can till it, and it is dry! Ready! So I got on the phone with my daughter, got out the hoe, walked a lot, hoed, walked some more and had a great conversation. Came inside and did a strength workout that felt downright powerful. Now I am really hungry! But so full of energy - grateful for a day that had a bit of everything so far. More to come!3

The week was okay. I did not stick to my low calorie plan but I still lost weight by eating out less and cooking more. I’ll start recording what I eat on MFP this week. I also want to start walking again. So I plan to go on 2 walks this week and one swim. I also want to drink more water next week 😊4 -
So behind but...very late weigh-ins for the past weeks (very sorry)

I logged my food most days this week (missed yesterday). Pre-logging has been so helpful to me, so I will continue to do that this week. I increased my water intake, but was inconsistent. I am now drinking between 1 and 2 litres, but would like to aim for 2l each day this week. I am enjoying the C25K program - I am finishing up week 5 today, and have a 20min run. I know I can do it, as I have done it before, but it's still a big jump. I'm ready for it though! I have missed running a lot.
I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

@ashleycarole86 I love reading the step report and am amazed by the total distance comparison you come up with each week. I'm not even a step participant and it's one of my favourite parts of the team, seeing everyone's movement and exercise accomplishments summarized like that.
Thank you for that boost!3 -

Oh well, only 6oz but every little helps, I guess 😊
I'm not sure why I didn't lose more looking at my steps for last week 😢 I'm pretty sure it is due to water retention. I did have a very busy week at work.
Today I feel grumpy, old and deflated. Early night for me 😁
Have a lovely rest of the Sunday all ❤️3 -

A friend invited me to a body pump class at the gym and I am in love with it! I can do cardio all day long by myself, but weights is always a struggle. I do it because I am in the habit, but I didn't enjoy it and always wondered if what I was doing was a good routine. I go again tomorrow evening!5 -

Y'ALL I have not been below 155 in almost 2 years!
I've had a slow, but steady increase since.
I'm really liking the Metabolic Renewal approach!
Whew! I had a lot of posts to catch up on. Love seeing this group so active. I plan to be more active here this week.10 -

Hope it's just water weight because it's been so hot in Alberta. What is your favourite summer meals to make? I'm not finding much inspiration lately3 -
Monday! The ides of May and we have a frost warning through tomorrow. If we had a super freeze that hit hard for 2 days, just think how many ticks would die! Ok. Maybe not that good a plan since lots of little plants would be killed, too. Alas, I’ll just have to keep applying DEET to my body and permethrin to my clothes and try to prevent them from biting me.
But I digress.
I got a fair amount of steps in today filling in for a person delivering lunches in a large apartment building. It was a bit nerve wracking but fun at the same time.
Onwards to day 2. I’ll start tracking my food again this week.
Have a great night everyone.5 -
@adrimango congrats on getting under 155! Those long-time not seen milestones are a great feeling.
I was happy to get out into my big vegetable garden and till the first 2 beds and part of the 3rd. There are 8 in total, and I like to spread it out over a few days - it is a good workout for sure! I have not seen the garden this dry in the middle of May in years. It makes tilling a lot easier, that's for sure. Cold nights coming up so I'm not planting yet, but soon!
@ashleycarole86 my steps and stuff for yesterday and today:
Sunday 9256 steps + 15 minutes pilates
Monday 11015 steps + 15 strength + 15 Pilates + 30 bike4 -
Final call for week 2 steps (May 7-13)!
I am exhausted. I was up earlier than normal for a work from home day as Brad had to get to the airport. I worked from home, did laundry and ironing, cooked two HelloFresh meals we had to get made, did dishes, watered our tree and the grass, took the dog on two walks, rode the Peloton... the list goes on. I have not stopped moving for about 15 hours straight and the crash is coming.
One slight problem (gift.. problem??) I have as a person is the desire to do ALL the things. I tend to want everything done, always.. so it's hard to sit still and relax. With Brad away, there is only my hands for chores, so I sorta get in this zone. The problem is that eventually I burn out.
Anyway, that hasn't happened today.. in fact I took advantage of my zero commute to do a bunch extra in hopes that later when the wear of the work week and the commuting gets to me, future me will be thankful for everything today me accomplished!
See you tomorrow!5
