Gonna see if the scale is friendlier tomorrow, my digestive system isn't processing fast enough these days. Not enough water and fibre. It's definitely not because I'm not sweating it out in this heat!
Often a bit of dehydration from all the sweating can provoke slow movement, shall we say - water and fibre are the best targets for sure! Keep cool... I sure hope it rains soon.2 -

What a difference a day makes and movement of food! 🫢 I see you @PlaneMonkey
I’m still feeling cruddy. I felt better yesterday but then it got bad again. I know it’s sinus and cold/throat now as people I work with are complaining of the same. Great fun working with little kids and being in the germ factory. 4 and a 1/2 days left with kiddos.
It was a scorcher here yesterday. I saw 96 driving home from work. It’s supposed to be cooler today.
I have some friends coming over today for a little afternoon get together. My house is no where near done or up to entertainment level but these friends know me.
Still looking for my feeling of normal. I was making progress then got hit with this virus. For the record, it’s far worse than Covid for me. I’ll get there. Breathe in. 🧘🏻♀️ Breathe out 🧘🏻♀️
@conleywoods Love the piggy pics and the garden.
@jugar glad your new buddy is adjusting so well.
@lauren_989 Oh I can’t even imagine losing those senses permanently. Is there no way they will return?
Talk to you later.4 -

I beat my weekly target on steps. Target is 91,000 for a week. If I manage to do that consistently, I'm going to have to raise that bar.
I make myself do chores manually. I drag a wagon instead of riding the UTV to haul feed. I bought that push mower even though I have the rider. Then, we started our labor of love in the cemeteries cleaning the graves. Last week, we also pressure washed my boyfriend's mom's storage building. It's huge.
Each week, I do something for me. Last week, I did my nails. This week, I have an appointment to get my roots done. I am eyebrow obsessed. I have been teaching myself how to do eyebrow mapping to get the perfect brow for my face. Eyebrow lamination is intriguing, so that's on the table. I get my hair bleached, but these eyebrows are still very black. I have no intention of bleaching the brows. I'm not huge on make up, but I do like to look presentable. To me, these black eyebrows stand out, so I really want them "perfect". I got a diploma in cosmetology in 1992. A LOT has changed since I went to school. A LOT!
I always like to learn new things too.7 -

Oops again - it wasn’t the best eating week. I am really struggling to get back on track - I’m eating fairly good just too much and not exercising at all. My gut says just pick one thing to do and not try to be perfect - so I’m thinking a quick walk with doggie in the AM (since it’s SO hot here now) or some yoga during the day or a mixture of both (why be so ridged!)5 -

It’s so much cooler today that I can actually think. Huzzah! One thing that I notice in my new job is I’m hard pressed to drink enough water and I don’t always have more than a banana for lunch until I get home at 2:45 when I either eat lunch or just a snack and then an early supper. Things will settle down but not sure exactly when. In the meantime, I guess creative damage control will have to suffice!
OH and I are cat sitting in Warren, VT and will help do a few hard to reach chores for Emily. Seems only fair to spread the wealth of favors.
Recalling info about Macrobiotics I read years ago, I’m inspired by the notion of extremes. In order to make it easier to change my diet to a more balanced one, I need to decrease foods on the outer edges like meat and salt which are on one side and sugary items on the other. The pendulum needs to be calmer on the swinging so my body can regroup at its happier place!
Have a lovely weekend, y’all!5 -

Was not feeling well this week especially those two days where I didn’t hit my goal. I was a lump in a chair. Not gone yet. I think it may have become bronchitis or triggered my asthma, which I haven’t had trouble with for years. Gargled with warm salt water and it helped. I’m about done with this! Not a good sick person. I started to feel better and my resting heart rate showed it, then felt bad again and darned if the heart rate didn’t start climbing again. Interesting how the Fitbit I wear to motivate steps has shown me that my RHR rises when sick pretty consistently over the years. It also shows when I’m over the hump, quite literally!
