UGH. Idk what it is but I am just not doing well with calorie counting right now. I start off good and then later in the day I just don’t care and start eating whatever. Any tips on how to overcome this behavior? I think I may need to start eating smaller more frequent meals so I don’t feel like I’m dying or whatever. Been a little stressed and depressed as well which certainly isn’t helping. Really disappointed I’ve put over 10lbs back on. 😞

I log all my meals days in advance including snacks. It allows me to gameplan. I work better with structure.

Thats ok,just put all that behind you..And lets start over,we fall off from time to time. Now just focus and 1 foot in front the other(baby steps). You definitely got this.. I'm on board with you.

I haven't done an intro in a while...

    1. Tell us a little about yourself? Where are you from? Family? Pets? What are some of your hobbies? Etc.
I am Jen. I grew up in North Carolina but have been out west in Colorado and New Mexico for about 20 years now. I am married and have a black cat. Hobbies include gardens/plants, baking (dangerous hobby!), museums, hiking, history.

    2. Why are you on this journey? What pushed you to start?
Every time I do these questions my answers probably are different. I guess I am getting older and dealing with my own health issues including gaining weight, as well as seeing my parents and others struggle with their health. I want to live a full life and I don't want my body to hold me back from experiencing things or enjoying them.

    4. What are your triggers and how can you avoid them?
Not eating is a trigger - meaning if I get really hungry I get a headache, etc and then I just eat everything. Roadtrips are a big trigger. Being sick and also dealing with family stuff are big triggers. The past few years has been tough with lots of family stuff. How do I avoid them? Obviously I don't do it well!

    6. Do you have a favourite diet you go by? ie keto, low carb
Vegetarian/sometimes vegan but not as a diet, just a lifestyle. Otherwise just counting calories.

    5. What is your favourite way to workout? Any new workouts you would like to try this month?
Spin class, yoga, walking, hiking, lifting weights. I want to do them all but I do better when I have a community - going to classes or walking with people, etc. This month I am traveling a lot for work so if I can just keep going to spin once a week and walk consistently that would be great. But it is also really hot now and I don't have air conditioning!

    6. What are some of your goals this month? Year?
Make good choices during my travels. For the year? gosh, I dunno.

I think I deleted a question, but good enough!

    7. What do you expect to gain from the team? Do you have any suggestions? Just
    .

    Weigh-in Day: Sunday
    PW: 284.6 lbs
    CW: 285.0 lbs

If that was 100 lbs lighter, I would be doing a good job at maintenance! But alas, not quite yet. Have paid great weekend.

    @lindamtuck2018

Not sure what happened, Linda, but here was my weigh-in post from Sunday 7/2.

Hello everyone, I'm Lis, 60, from the UK but been living in Spain for 22 years. I'm retired and spend over 6 months of the year travelling in my rv. Its my happy place where most of my weight loss happens!
I started here in August 2021 at 276lb unable to walk due to a knee injury. I'm now at 186lb which is the lowest I've even been in my adult life and my knee is loads better!
I follow a low carb, calorie counted diet and generally only eat in a 6 hour window
My challenge for July is to not gain any weight! The summer is hard for me, less walking due to the heat, and lots more socialising!
This is a great team, check in regularly, we're here to support you!

Pre logging your food is a great idea. You need to stick with what you logged. When I did my therapy for binge eating disorder I had to plan my food for the next day. Then I had to stick with what I planned. Back then I ate 3 meals and 2 snacks each day. Pre planning really made a difference for me.

Good morning. Sorry I never did the weight reminders yesterday. It was a busy day. Today I am having my yearly lobster. Yum! We did a lot of visiting yesterday.

Big time agree with @Megan_smartiepants1970 - Pre-log so you can adjust when things come up. That's a biggy.

Are you keeping a lot of snacks/sweets around the house that you can get rid of?

I have thrown away a lot of chips which are something I tend to snack on a lot but we've been eating out quite a bit and of course those meals are usually 1,000+ calories per meal. :( The struggle is real. I'm not much of a cook so I feel kind of stuck right now.
