2 fun things about you? 1) I actually learned to like Kale during the 2023 Spring 5% Challenge! This makes me happy because my Hubby like to grow Kale and nobody ever ate it! He doesn't even like vegetables. 2) I bought a bucket of peaches today from the Farm Stand for $10. It contained 6 gigantic peaches, the biggest peach weighs 13.8 oz!!!! Almost 1 lbs!!! BIGGIE BIGGIE BIGGIE!

What do you like to do for fun? Spend time with hubby & go to the beach & read & write in my journal.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? To stay below 180 lbs & head to 170. To continue low fodmap diet & as my digestive system heals to be able increase variety of foods I am able to enjoy.

Anything else you would like to share? I am retired but still using my RN skills being a caregiver for my 85+ year old Mom. I love the ocean & spending time with my hubby & my adult kids & my girlfriend's.

How many 5% Challenges have you done? I started these challenges in 2010 on The SUDS team. I have done just a few of them even when I was going through my cancer treatments.
What do you like to do for fun? I love to walk outside especially during the Fall season when there is a cool breeze blowing. I also like to read and play board games.
What major city do you live in or near? State? Memphis, TN
What are you health/fitness goals for this season? To continue to lose weight and to stay off of the 4 meds I no longer need to take since I have lost weight.
How would your pet or friend describe you? They would describe me as a loyal friend, a little bit crazy, and someone who has a great sense of humor. Love to laugh and have a good time.
What is the last thing you finished? Give it a name if you can. Grocery Shopping for healthy foods.
What is your favorite TV show? I love all of the Chicago shows, Med, Fire and PD. I also love Yellowstone with Keving Costner.
2 fun things about you? My DH and I will be for 52 years on September 4th. We have 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Anything else you would like to share? I have been in remission for a little over 8 years. I had Stage 2 Breast Cancer. I am a Christian and I strongly believe in the power of prayer.

2 fun things about you? I am an introvert so my fun things are spending time with special friends and with family.
Anything else you would like to share?- I am an Orton-Gillingham tutor. I work with children who have reading challenges and I love it! I work one on one with students and love seeing them gain more confidence and skills.
- I was diagnosed this summer with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer. I had no symptoms, it was found on blood work. I am currently receiving chemotherapy every Thursday morning. This isn't the kind of chemo that makes me sick and I won't lose my hair. That will come if I do a stem cell transplant which is what the doctors plan for me. I am on strong meds and have my blood checked every week to make sure no organs are being damaged. I am exercising each day and eating carefully.

Anything else you would like to share? My Apple Watch has made a significant difference to my fitness in the last 3 years. I track everything. Last year I got my husband one as well and he’s hooked. He wants to “close the rings” so walks 30 minutes daily as his exercise.
