A Quick Note: It's so easy to be discouraged by the number on the scale this time of year, but remember that our bodies are doing everything they can to keep us alive. It takes in more water to process excess salt and sugars, needs time to grow new muscle, doesn't work as effectively when stressed or sick... grant yourself some grace, grant your body some grace, and know that a few bad decisions will not undo months and months and months of progress.
You're doing better than you think. Happy Holidays!

I am new to this group and excited to join team Weight No More! I have lost a little over 50lbs within the past 6 months. I want to lose about 20 more. I do have a bit of a challenge this month, I am going on a cruise. But, I plan to be sensible with my eating and very active. I am 48 yo and just graduated nursing school on Dec 15th. I want to be the healthiest I can be to show my patients it can be done.5

I hope you all had a great holiday. I received a new tracking watch for Christmas, nothing fancy. I just wanted to be able to track my steps again to get back into some step challenges. I'm not going to have a lot of steps right away because if the issues with my back and leg but it gives me some motivation. Today I started doing piyo amd walked for 40 minutes so that was an accomplishment. I want the piyo because they want me to try stretching my back, hip and leg. I'm hoping I stick to all of this.2

@ljdanny nice that you got a step tracker! I hope that the piyo gives you some relief for your back and leg. I too have had a lot of leg and lower back pain in my right side. I work with a personal trainer whoβs helping me strengthen muscles and work on stretches. It has helped. BTW, what is piyo?

Hi all, I've been busy spending my Christmas holidays in Andalusia, Spain - swam in the Med, sailed alongside dolphins, watched a flamenco show, wandered round Alhambra, Alcazar and Roman theatre remains, and we're only half way through.

@daria0919 piyo is a beachbody program. A mix of yoga and pilates. It's good for stretching.

Hi all! Welcome to all the new people!
Iβm on vacation and have no idea what day it is! Iβve been trying to focus first on protein and fiber when I sit down for a meal or snack. I can tell Iβm off the diet, though. Iβve had to break out the gas-x for stomach cramps. In the 3 months Iβve been on my diet, Iβve barely had to touch the stuff after years of typically using 3-5 a week. Way more sugar, more fried foods, more alcoholβ¦
I brought some resistance bands with me and am trying to do 10 minutes with them in the hotel. Maybe in the next couple of days Iβll wake up early and hit up the fitness center so I can use their big dumbbells.
