Good morning WaistAways!
CW: 181.65 -
I only had a couple of meetings yesterday but still walked quite a bit while I worked. Meeting a friend today at a brewery and my plan is one beer and kale salad for lunch.
@lauren_989 I hear you on the grocery bag carry challenge! Often I am doing a quick tidy at home between meetings and just move things closer to their final destination in stages, but after a day if Zoom meetings it can feel good to take 1 thing all the way to its home and then circle back to the original room. I move more and it's more satisfying. High of 19 here in the mountains today!3 -

Sigh. Looking forward to keeping the green momentum going next week.
I’m getting into a more regular groove of purposeful exercise. It definitely helps my mood and is encouraging.
@Gidgitgoescrazy check out the art gallery called, “3402 Art”. Some friends of my daughter (wedding photographer) own it and have a lovely set up. I hope to see ot in person sometime. We’ll see!
Well, time to get some steps in doing housework. Our temperature is finally up to the high of 12 degrees F. I decided to drive to my haircut appointment, even though the 2-mile walk would’ve been a good thing, if it wasn’t for the cold!
Have a great Caturday!3 -

Hello all!
I got back from Montreal very late last night after truly packed days, ending with a stressful sprint to get a report in before the end of the day. We decided that would have to mean midnight because we were never going to get it done by 5 pm, but I finally hit SEND on the thing at around 7. Then had to go catch an 8:45 bus to get back home - walked in the door around 11! I have a lot more work to do between now and the end of the month, but at least there won't be a big crunch like that at the end. I will make sure of it! In any case, I'm being paid by the hour, and if it takes the time, it takes the time!
I did manage to get a lot of steps in, which also cut the stress a lot. I didn't use public transport much, just walked. Snow, cold, yep - but that's how I like it! No other exercise happened, though, so I'll be happy to be home to my exercise bike + episode of something habit tonight.
I think I have caught up with all the weigh-ins - just 3 to go for the week:

Greetings Friends!
I'm managing to keep up with the posts (just - @micki48 !)
It's been a busy week for me, but I'm getting better at managing my time (aka not doing work for free). So after a lot of consideration I decided to hand in my notice at the college just before the festive break. I will be returning to industry and private practice. I realise that I am better suited to consultancy than lecturing, and leaving will provide me with a much more meaningful work/life balance. I have a three month notice period to work, so I won't be leaving until Mid-March.
This gives me the time I need to finish my book (don't get excited, it's an industry book on Land Referencing! ) and build up my marketing list and online courses.
This year is our 25th wedding anniversary, so we have a celebration to arrange. Ben has muted a trip to the Baltic States, but nothing has been arranged yet.
I weigh myself each morning and my daily numbers are encouraging. I'm hoping for a modest loss.
Signing off now to get some shut eye.
Goodnight and stay warm.6 -
Checking in! Had a productive day of errands and shopping. My "25lbs down" reward was supposed to be a pair of hoop earrings and I finally found some today that I am loving. Got a great price, too.
My foot is back to bothering me a bit after what seemed like 1-2 weeks of improvement. I wish a PT or podiatrist could just watch me for a week and figure out what is causing all of this via observation haha. alas!6 -

@jugar Those trips can be stressful. I went to Cincinnati Ohio for work last year. It was quick fly in. One night there and back home the next night. I hope you had a wonderful time.
Long day at work Friday. Saturday was better. Got in some walking with my two dogs.

I did a low impact exercise video yesterday to get in some movement and steps. I thunk I'll bundle up and go for a walk outside today. We are looking at 5 days of rain ahead. I stayed up too late to see who would win the 49ers/Packers game but woke up feeling rested. Some prep to do for the week ahead, more football to watch, and I've promised my daughter we would play Ticket to Ride. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.6

@adrimango
I LOVE Ticket To Ride! One of my favorite games to play with my husband.
Yesterday was the first day in a long time it was safe enough to take my 5 pound Maltese for her walk. And even then it was borderline. Today is cold again but things will warm up later this week.
Looking at my habit tracker for week 3, I improved over week 2. However, I started off strong in week 1.. so I'm hoping I can make week 4 my best week yet!
Step wise.. I took a step back in week 3, so again I have something to build on for week 4. So there we have it, want to improve my step and habit check mark count in week 4 over week 3. I have a target now!
And on that note, here is my exercise for week 3:
Jan 14 - 3879 steps + 48 minutes Peloton + 10 minutes strength
Jan 15 - 10965 steps
Jan 16 - 9962 steps
Jan 17 - 10323 steps
Jan 18 - 6972 steps
Jan 19 - 4468 steps + 62 minutes Peloton
Jan 20 - 5447 steps5 -
@ashleycarole86 We gave our daughter Ticket to Ride for Christmas and it quickly became a family favorite!
Took the pooch on a walk which lovely in the sunshine all bundled up. Did some cooking for the week to help me eat well. I'll need to do some more movement today to reach my step goal.3 -

Apologies! I thought I posted this but I’m looking back through the notes, I realize I didn’t.
I think (and hope) this gain was due to bloating and TOM for me. We’ll see what this upcoming Friday looks like.
