Sunday ~ April 7
Good morning Shape Shifters. Happy to report that turning and flipping the matrass helped. I was a lot more comfortable in bed. I still woke up very tired and I had a bad headache, so it took a lot to go out for my walk. I did it though and I had a fabulous time too. The rest of the day was fairly quiet since I didn't feel great. I washed Tinus' blankets and ordered some stuff I will talk about in a couple of days when it shows up. I went to the store to look for waterdrops, but didn't find them, so instead I came home with 2 Ben & Jerry pints because they were 1+1 free. I am not really tempted by ice cream and I will likely forget I even have them since I don't open my freezer often. But they will be a nice 'surprise' when it is hot enough and I check/remember, lol. Tinus had lots of outside time since it was pretty warm and I opened my next puzzle and did some sorting. Happy Monday everyone6 -
The daily card:We all have negative thought patterns or habits that make guest appearances in our minds. Anxiety, self-criticism, doubt, or fear of missing out-we call these our "demons" because they can make our lives hell. A powerful first step to free yourself from your personal demons is to start naming them. Calling them by their names whenever they appear means you create a little bit of distance between you and them, and that can help you to avoid getting entangled in an unproductive thought spiral. Next time you find your demons arising, try greeing them out loud: Hello Worry! Hello Jealousy! Hello Doubt!3

@alleykat69 I posted a message on the first week challenge that I wouldn't be handling this week's challenge. Liselyn (Jugar) is hosting this one. I'm on vacation. Enjoy your week! FYI, the links are always posted on each team's chat thread, usually on Saturday afternoon/evening.

FWSWCindy for step challenge. 10,000 a day!
3.31.24 = 9627
@FWSWCindy You posted the above message for your steps on Sunday, but if you look at your summary posted today, 9627 became 9267. Which is correct? I've changed it to read the same as your summary, but wanted to check with you. Thanks!

Still continuing to get rid of swelling, so it's baby steps, but I'll take it.

For those of you in the US who will be watching the eclipse today...remember to keep your pets indoors, as they may panic, get scared and look up at the sun to see why it's getting dark...also, for yourselves, if you're going to watch it, please make sure you wear protective "eclipse" glasses and are certified to protect your eyes...or use one of the devices (look it up on Youtube.com) so that you can see the effects of the eclipse, while not looking at the sky. Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the awe of nature and the solar system!

Hi, don’t know if you saw this from my last post, but I’d like to be moved to the goal zone. My zone is 120-129. Do I still post my PW and CW each week? Thanks.
@nancyinmo and @jessicakrall8 - Here is a link to the Goal Zone Support thread, where you can introduce yourself and interact with the group:

I guess not too bad, considering it was a quick weekend of car travel, snacks and eating out...4 -
If anyone sees anything strange during the eclipse, let your spooky UFO obsessed friend here know okay? I wish I could go see it, but my friends back home in Texas and Oklahoma are trying to cover it for me a bit. :-P
Any tips for getting through a weight plateau? It doesn't seem to budge even with planned meals and exercise. Hmm.3 -
@Itadakimasu7 - I wish I had advice for you about what to do when we plateau. I think we have to keep going until we get to a downhill slope. Hang in there!3

Monday ~ April 8
Good morning Shape Shifters. Another day, another walk. It was pretty warm, so I was glad there was no sun this time. The walk was nice and quiet again. I was feeling exhausted most of the day, so I did the usual: reading and working on my puzzle, gym rings in the afternoon. I got a package delivered with two hedgehog houses and one beehotel. I wasn't happy with the things I had for the hedgehogs. I am still not confident I fed hedgehogs all winter and think I instead fattened up a cat. Although the opening to the house I had was really small, I did see a black cat around often who managed to squeeze through my fence which I also thought wasn't possible. Anyway, since these houses have a tunnel, there is no way a cat can get it. They are also waterproof because of the roof and you can easily open the top. I set one up in the same spot where the old house was that got used to nest in. The second one I will place somewhere else and use as a feeding house. The houses were a lot of money, but I think it will be worth it since they should last a long time.
While I do already have a wall full of beehotels, a lot of them are falling apart and a lot of the bamboo tunnels were used. I should have taken some more time to consider better options instead of buying this new hotel. All the wooden houses fall apart after a year so it's not worth it. I think it would be much cheaper to buy bamboo sticks, cut them to the right size and just make your own. So that is what I will do moving forward. Those big beehotels are super expensive (this one was 50 euros) and I also read online that it is best to replace them every year. Hopefully the new one will get used a lot, but I kinda regret getting it. Happy Tuesday everyone5 -
