Good morning Shape Shifters. I had a long, but not very far, naturewalk with my camera yesterday. This time the birds were a little more cooperative. There was an absolutely soaked stork on a roof I saw on my bike to the walk. I suspect it had been sitting on a nest all night to protect babies and we had a LOT of rain overnight. It looked a little sad. There was a marsh tit with food, a common redstart, some stonechats and a cute willow warbler. It was a good walk. The rest of the day was pretty lazy, though I did pull a bunch of weeds in the garden. I also got sports bra two delivered and thankfully this one fit well. I still don't want to call it comfortable because sports bras just aren't (I am very difficult with clothes and hate tight stuff), but the fit is good and it keeps everything in place. I will only use it for horseriding anyway so I can live with it. Happy Wednesday everyoneThe wet stork

Hi guys! Quick question:
When you ask for a pass on a weekly weigh in, do you just carry our weight over from the previous week or is our weight not even considered as part of the formula/percentages that week?

@babytis Yes, the June thread will probably open on Saturday, but feel free to 'start' here already, no need to wait!
Two questions.....
#1 Do I start with the weight I got yesterday or do I weigh in June for my starting weight?
#2 Often times on a weight loss journey I weigh in daily. Then I typically record my Monday weights. Can I use yesterday's starting weight, but then weigh in on Monday's?
Silly questions here, but I just want to follow along correctly2 -
@Krysless2 I guess the answer is both? We use the same weight as the one from the week before, you will contribute 0 to the overall team standings.
@babytis We have Monday for you as your weigh in day so your first official group weigh in will be the 3rd of June. If you want to update your starting weight to the one from yesterday, that is totally fine! It is set to 210 at the moment, but we can change that for you. Hope that answered your questions.

Hi! My name is Emma, my username Astral works too. I am two years out of university and one year into a totally sedentary post-grad office job as a programmer (my steps are horrid, 1.5k a day if I'm lucky. I used to walk everywhere). These two years have come with a steady incline on the scale. At least the food was yummy!
I have a few goals with weight loss, some numeric and some in general. First, the numbers:
Age: 24
Height: 5'3"
Starting weight: 173.8lbs (February 2024)
Current weight: 165.0lbs (5/29/24)
Goal weight: 125lbs (40lbs to go!)
My biggest goal with weight loss is to feel healthier. At my highest weight in February, I was tired constantly and really didn't get any joy out of anything. I've been slacking on hobbies I used to enjoy because I don't feel my best and been eating in excess to entertain myself. Since October I've been lifting weights on and off, but I'm a bit more consistent as of recent. I'm sure that'll change my weight goal down the line, but I remember being pretty content at 125lbs a few years ago, so that's my goal for now. I'm just now falling into a groove, and I'm so excited to be a part of a group to keep me accountable!

Good evening, I hope everyone had a good day. I had a couple NSV's today. This afternoon my husband and I went for a nature walk at our local nature center. usually he only wants to walk 1 maybe 2 miles. Well today he surprised me with a 4.04 mile walk. I loved it! Then tonight for supper we went to Jimmy John's. I ordered a #4 Unwhich and brought my own Quest chips. The man taking our order informed me they didn't have anymore lettuce for Unwhich's. I told him then that I didn't want anything then. I think he was a little shocked. Normally I would've just folded and got a bread sub, but tonight I thought "NO!!, I'm not going to be forced to get something I don't want." We left and had soup and salad at Applebee's which was 10 times better anyway. Win, Win!6

@babytis congratulations! I had a major Jimmy John's fail yesterday. I am in a two day meeting at work and yesterday we ordered in JJ box lunches. I planned ahead staying away from the donuts and bagels in the morning and bringing my own chicken and salad for lunch. But then found a Jimmy triple chunk 🍪 someone had put near the coffee station. I succumbed. 😞5 -
Good morning Shape Shifters. Yesterday was a very wet morning which meant no screaming Tinus and the birds were fairly quiet too. I got to 'sleep in' until 7:00 for a change. I didn't think I could walk because of the rain, but I checked online and it said it would be dry after 8. So I changed clothes again and headed out anyway. Well, calling it dry would have been a stretch. It was pretty windy and the forest was absolutely sopping wet, so it was already raining from the trees alone. I got some more rain and drizzle during the walk as well, but I was too warm anyway so it didn't bother me. The rest of my day was not very interesting or fun. I was not in a good mood and very irritable and quick to get upset. I have no idea why but it was very annoying. It took a lot of effort, but I did manage to get my gym rings done in the evening. I went to bed too late because I just wanted to zone out and relax with a game. Happy Thursday everyone5

My weigh-in day is Wednesday. I forgot to step on the scale yesterday morning. I stepped on the scale this morning and guess what?! Making some progress again! Almost in the hundo club
