@angmarie28 I'm so sorry for your loss.2

good morning,
Steps:
June 10= 9562
June 11= 3075
June 12= 10,104
June 13= 4808
I've lost motivation, or maybe commitment. I don't feel like logging food, making my steps. I had to take my Dad to hospital for surgery on the 11th so not a lot of steps, but I didn't feel motivated enough to go for a walk that evening. Not sure whats going on, but I'm in a slump for sure. I'll try to turn things around on my days off.
Have a good weekend everyone!
@JenHul Hope your dad is ok after surgery and recovers quickly...some days when we're overwhelmed, we just have to concentrate on breathing and then each day after, take baby steps to get back on track. Will be thinking of you this week and we're here if you need to vent. YOU GOT THIS, even though it doesn't feel like it right now...baby steps, baby steps!!

@angmarie28 - That’s understandable. Try to give yourself grace and time to grieve. You are always caring for others, whether at work or home, so I hope you can allow yourself to lean on others during this difficult time. I remember you often carved out time from your busy schedule to care for your mother when she needed help. I hope it’s a comfort to you that you were there for her and you had such a close relationship that “she was [your] person.” My condolences to you and your family. ❤️🩹2

@angmarie28 I'm sure you're still reeling and that's the worst feeling ever...like the world is moving too fast and you have no control over anything. I'm so sorry for your pain. Just try to breathe...and when you feel you can, take a walk to center yourself...cherish some of those hidden away memories of good times with your Mom...places she liked to go, things she liked to do...it will make you feel her presence all around you...and although you might shed a tear, it will help you start to heal. I'm thinking of you...just breathe...and lean on your family...take care...we're here when you need us...

The daily card:The Greek philosophers first popularized the idea that the heart is linked to one of our strongest emotions: love. Love brings us joy and, as research has shown, is also good for our physical health. It appers in various guises: romance, compassion, empathy and friendship. Send silent love to the people you encounter today. In your mind, hope that they will find happiness during the day. Imagine that love as a white light flowing through your body and out to everyone you meet.2

~ TOM started yesterday.. finally! I’m starting to feel a little more normal. That guy really knows how to drain the energy out of a person! On another note; I can’t seem to get my polar hr monitor to log every work out into MFP diary every time. It like skips every few. I used to have no issue with it..🫤1 - Log / Und-Cs&Cs / 1Hr-Exe?

I'm sure the lack of movement is contributing to that. 😕

I leave tomorrow for a trip to visit my son in Seattle. I will try to remember to post my steps every day. Shouldn't be a problem as I will be on EDT and getting up at 4:00 AM every morning so will have plenty of time to kill. LOL2 -

@daffygirl88 Sorry that I missed the weigh-in...steps were missing too, so not sure how the oversight happened...I do know that I was posting a reply to someone that landed right BELOW your weigh-in, on the same pg and perhaps I dropped below that reply thinking I had everything done before that point. Still...apologies...thanks for reposting and letting me know. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Oh shoot, it's father's day today!? I am so oblivious with any kind of holiday. Dates mean nothing to me. I don't even remember Christmas. I actually called my dad today because half of my house lost power and I didn't see how to fix it. Turns out my house can't handle having the washing machine, dryer and oven on at the same time. I took a picture of the electricity box thingy and turns out there was one tiny button I had to push back in. I somehow didn't spot it, but my dad did. Dad for the win!

Hello! Still a bit sick. Unfortunately I went up on the scale this week, but I'm going to start fresh this Monday. I've been lifting more weights this week and might have taken out a bit too much cardio for the calories I've been eating, threw my balance off a bit. Overall I like the direction I'm heading though, hoping to lose that pound and then some this week2 -

Hi Shape Shifters! I was traveling a lot recently so I apologize for not being a more active contributor to our group.
@Pupowl and @jessicakrall8 - I’m on schedule to return to the regular group from the ‘support’ member list on my usual weekly weigh-in report day: Thursday, June 19. I don’t think my weight has fluctuated too much so we can use my last weigh-in report of 147.5.
We played a challenging soccer match last night, and managed to win, so it was an especially rewarding game — and our last one of the season. I was tired from running so I’m looking forward to the summer pickup season to work on my conditioning after taking so much time off.
I have a busy work scheduled for the next two weeks but I’m determined to eat well and keep a minimal exercise schedule of rowing twice this week and making the most of two personal trainer appointments. I have to take my usual monthly trip to Boston to care for relatives on Friday, but this will be a shorter trip because of in-person work commitments. Once, I get back, I’m eager to keep a more consistent schedule. So, I’ll increase my workouts in July.
Best wishes for a healthy week, everyone!
