My two weeks of rest are up - so got my first walk in! Woo Hoo. It was so wonderful to get out there. I'm starting out slow and small - a 1.5 mile walk at one of our favorites - Haddam Meadow State Park. I love it for many reasons, it's flat, beautiful scenary, Monty can be off leash, and it has bathroom facilities (LOL). It took me a long time to finish this 1.5 miles, - probably all the pictures and not me following doctors orders! I'll still continue with the non-weight bearing cardio routines, and no deep lunges or deep squats with the strength routines.

Sounds like it was am amazing first walk back. Monty looks great and so does the view. How is the weather for walking? We have had a bad bout of humidity. It was that swampy humidity which I just break a sweat walking out the door in.0 -

@lindamtuck2018 Weather has been HOT and HUMID, we go first thing in the AM right after I have a cup of coffee. Usually after I post my MFP stuff, but today it is going to be a scorcher so just got a couple things posted before we headed out.0 -

I had a big whoosh today. I wouldn’t believe it so I pulled out an old set of scales and they were exactly the same. I am doing chauffeur duties again today. Taking my daughter to Costco this morning and to physio later today.

Holiday Dessert ~ My Mom used to make a chocolate pie....it was so good.
Name my first car? I didn't. But when cars started having GPS, my husband (at the time) named that car "Shirley" as he said the GPS voice sounded like a "Shirley"....
Point or Laugh? I'd say laugh and I hope I'm doing something to encourage that laughter!
Ditto, @ilive2walk. I've lived in Minnesota and California, but now I'm back in my birth state of Illinois.
@lindamtuck2018 ~ I'm 100% with you, candy store all day and I'm good. There are "some" temptations, but I can work through them. Put me in front of a bag of potato chips ...all bets off. When I was a kid, we used to take field trips to the Jay's Potato chip plant. I bet that's how it all got started🙂
@scandiao ~ If I'm good, I Pre-log, as I've planned my meals in advance, and then tweak as I go. That's probably about 40% of the time. The remaining time is a combo. I try to log as I eat so I know the total for the meal and where I'm at in my day, and then finish it up in the evening and sometimes the next day if I'm super busy and/or tired.
@ilive2walk ~ glad you're back on your feet and walking again. You did well being sidelined!🙂

Hi all, it is unfortunate for me to say this but I have been going back and forth on staying on MFP or going for a couple weeks now, and I have made the decision to leave. It has been great working with all of you for ALMOST 3 years!! and I have been with MFP since 2013!
The news feed going away really got to me and I lost my streak and my motivation. It wasn't the best thing this app decided to do and therefore I am going to move on with my life. I miss scrolling through the news feed and feeling like I was part of a family. I just don't feel it with the group alone. You are all wonderful and great but I don't feel I have the support like I did in scrolling and comments alone. I believe things happen for a reason. So I am going to continue mentally making healthy good choices and exercising daily I am just not going to "obsess" over it. Anyway, I am getting emotional. I hope you all have a great journey in this life and best of luck to each and every one of you! 2024 is going to be the year, we all got this!! Much love. xoxo
