Thanks, feeling better. Every day I make trips to the dump and donation centers. Slow progress, but baby steps go in the right direction. Just hope I can be ready by the first week in November. Finding it liberating to get rid of stuff

I dont know how accurate the step counter on a phone is, but I do log several miles a day just with decluttering. I may not be getting normal cardio or strength exercises, but you are right when you say that I am moving and not sitting.
I had Cheerios for breakfast. Will attempt to ace the calorie number today.

I know that I can log several miles without ever leaving the house, so I bet your counts are pretty accurate.
30 calories over. I'm happy with that. :) Hopefully I'll get a good night's sleep and will be able to do more exercise tomorrow.
Daughter and I went to an estate sale a few weeks ago. It blew me away. I came away thinking that I need to get rid of more stuff so that it is not a burden for my daughters.

Randi, you make an excellent point. Why should our children have to deal with a lifetime of stuff they didnt accumulate. That thought will help me to be more ruthless with D & D ( dump and donations ).

I love estate sales. And auctions. And thrift stores. Now i need to stay out of all of them. Once I get rid of all our excess everything, i want to be a minimalist.

I do love thrift stores and antique shops. I collected depression glass and Stangl pottery, but I don't need any more pieces now. I still love browsing though.
Today was a decent day. Hope all goes well for tomorrow's weigh-in.

A good part of that is probably water do to the high salt content in restaurant food. Another half-pound goal?

Yes. Half pound goal it is!
I am also building muscle due to being a book hoarder. Boxes of books are HEAVY

I had lunch with an old friend at a restaurant that we visit about every other year. They have chocolate covered eclairs that are out of this world. I had half of a veggie burger, half of my cole slaw, and 1/3 of the eclair. Not a great day, but there was no way I was passing up the eclair. :D

You did great, Randi. No way could I ever stop at 1/3 of an eclair. Your willpower amazes me. I probably would have eaten the whole veggie burger too. You did a great job.

I think that what you are doing definitely counts as exercise. I remember how heavy boxes of books are from when we moved 14 years ago. Keep up the good work!

Went to my daughters 1 1/2 hrs away yesterday. I keep making trips to
Deliver all the stuff my 3 children left when they moved out. I told them to make sure their children take all their things when they go so they dont have to spend days doing this in their old age.
Ah, the lessons we learn the hard way!

I am eating badly again. Stress is no excuse!

Most but not all of our daughters' stuff is out of our house. Older daughter has a city condo and is space limited, so we have a trunk and 2 dollhouses of hers still here.
I'm eating badly again too. I don't know why.
I was thinking yesterday that I wish Gerri would come back and ship us into shape. :D

Me too, Randi. I miss Gerri and wonder how she is doing. We had such a nice group when she was here.

Yesterday was a good day! We can do this Cat. We just have to get back into the groove that we were in two years ago!

I know you are right Randi. I need to stop using moving as an excuse to overeat. The only person I can blame is the one I see in the mirror.
My doc gave me Augmentin and a round of steroids. Sinus infection gets kicked out this week. Yay!!!
Randi, you are a great encourager. Thank you!

Remember that we are only trying to lose 0.5 pound per week. Our calorie counts can be higher than when we were shooting for 2 pounds. :D We should be able to maintain a deficit of 250 calories per day.

Cat, I hope your sinuses are getting better. I had another day of staying within calorie limits. I hope this becomes a trend!

My cloggy head is finally clearing out. Feeling better today. Worked hard decluttering and packing. Didnt track a thing! Maybe tomorrow. Got 10,000 steps in just with moving chores in the house today.

    Where does time go?
Tomorrow I travel 2 hours to keep the two youngest grands, five and one year olds.
