Goal -->getting it for the next 2 weeks. earning my spanx purchase(pair of jeans)

Yesterday What Went Well: It felt good to have some comfort food and I didn't do it from a place of guilt. It was what I needed at that exact moment. I adjusted the remainder of my day. Got in 11K steps (wish i could say I had 20,000 but that's okay)

What I can improve upon today:
After dinner regardless of what this brain is thinking, I need to make a protein shake and sip on that. seriously it would save me 200-700 cal. a day. I am getting really good at having my afternoon nutrition nailed down for all days EXCEPT friday.

Nov 14 - Cardio - Speed and Pure cardio with Shaun T. Nice workout. Easy on the arms/ as they need to rest today if I am going to do anything with them tomorrow.

Nov. 13: 🚂🥊 〽️ Legs. Push ups and cable Rows and Bent over rows neutral grip. light weights.
1550 70p 184c (Took comfort in eating some candy corn, and that's okay-skipped lunch then and just drank coffee and a diet soda).

    Nov 12. 🚂🥊 〽️ P90X Legs and Rope + 10mins T20 Faster(HIIT) and 10mins Abs
    Weight:107.4 1350cal - 105 Protein

Nov 11: 🚂🥊 〽️ Workout : Shoulder Bi Tri at Esporta. with 10mins ellip.
    Calories: 1,583 Fat: 40g Carb: 177g Protein:143 g

    Stopped trying for 3 days
    Nov 10: 🚂🥊 ❌ Workout: Insanity CPR - 45mins.
Nov 9: 🚂🥊 〽️ Workout: Leg day - felt like food was a lot better.
Nov 8: ❌🥊 ❌ Friday - tend to over indulge - so yay... horrible. day.

Nov 7: 🚂🥊 〽️ THursday - nailing it. Went to the gym.
Nov 6: 🚂🥊 〽️ Workout: cardio - likely lower calories, i tend to swing that way.
Nov 5: ❌🥊 ❌ Workout : stretching day. Yoga Bryan Kest. 10mins Cardio, Millionaire Hoy.
    Nov 4: 🚂🥊 〽️ Fast : 12hrs - Workout - Ham, glute, quad, calf, quad, glute, core.

A great prayer @SherryRueter. Hope your mom is improving.

Lowest weight in over a year! So I have my daily 10k steps, no processed sweets, and lower calorie days to thank for that. I can’t say the latter is all discipline related, the hoarding just makes me not want to cook as much, so I’ll choose the protein shake rather than a burger with fries or any cooked meal!

Will see if I can sustain this to Christmas!

@Ceebeeslim - YAY!!! That is impressive! NO processed sweets. Like I've said before, "Seemingly I stepped over a line - and I stopped. Just simply quit." Yes. I've been having more protein shakes also. LIke 2-3 a day. It satisfies that sweet tooth - its filling. And likely healthier than many other alternatives.

Maybe this is the new normal. The lifestyle you never thought of, but you always wanted.

    I'm rather tired of tracking....

Workouts are going well. Shoulder is feeling good.

this caretaker role sucks. its an ever present thought in my mind.
But as my brother said over the weekend to me, This is the life they chose sis. This is what they chose to do when they were in their 40's-50's. They could have chosen different but they didn't. Therefore, if mom needs to go to a nursing home and have the state take away all of her possessions, that is just the way it is. That is on them. Not on you. not on me. Her choices to eat the foods she did. to not take care of her health, that is on her. Not us.

He makes a grand point. My health is on me. My choices are on me.
Either of you have nursing home insurance purchased?

I applaud you sister and think you are doing the righteous thing. Father God commands us to Honor thy mother and father. I believe we are all humans who make mistakes; the love, forgiveness, mercy that you are showing them, Lord Jesus sees all your beautiful acts. None of us deserve mercy, yet Jesus has shown it to us, and we are compelled to show it to others. I pray He continues to strengthen you and bless you. Our treasures and rewards will be stored in Heaven until we arrive there. I send love to you sister!

Checking in before i get started on my work day.

Thank you @justgirl81 for the words of wisdom. They really hit home.

I spend a lot of my time babysitting my moms medical from 13 hours away. Most days, this constitutes of a few phone calls that happen during the day at work (thanking the Lord that I am at a position that I can take them and call other people while on my job-time) - and then roughly 1 hour or more at night with phone calls to or from family members. Its a new normal I guess and it disrupts my normal evening.

Tonight I get a hair color and cut. So at least I won't be able to do a phone call and hopefully will just have to do a couple texts. THat will mean on Thursday I will have 1-2 hours of phone time with my brothers. It is what it is. Lord willing it will be less and all goes smoothly today. Taking it one day at a time.

    WHat else -
I'm still working out. I did Chest on Monday, which kinda made sleep on Monday night not well - so **too much on Monday** It could have been from stretching at 9pm- new stretches. (I would hate to blame my workout, but it could have been that also). Today I did Hamstrings and some back. ALL using dumbells. I have to say, it didn't feel negative while lifting. The weights for DL are at my side, so it was really JUST the weight of it that was being tested. Of course the Plank Rows(22#) and using the Seated Weighted Row machine - for the back -

Food on Tuesday was crap. But I didn't binge, it was just the fun foods, like pecans, chocolate coffee beans. A protein bar (which I normally don't have). and, soda +coffee+energy drink.

    Today, copius amounts of water.
Oh and, I am focusing on FIBER.

Question - do you listen to Youtube much? I found another video that I really Liked.

I especially like that he placed Fiber in the list. And I enjoy how this is presented. I sped it up to 1.25 so that it was shorter in length.

6 most important rules for fat loss.

    1-protein
    2-fiber
    3-walking
    4-exercise
    5-sleep
    6-strength training

got hair colored last night. highlights - I should have been more specific and had a photo of what I wanted. its lighter than I expected, but I'm sure it will grow on me and i won't notice in a couple of days.

    meals are planned for today.
So far the plan looks doable and I should be able to follow it.

Workout: 55mins kick boxing with Les mills - I enjoy them and its good rest for my shoulder.
I have to do PT today.

We all make foolish choices. Bringing it to God is proably the #1 best way to deal with it. Your faith
    shows.

I am being STRONG this afternoon and not over eating.

Workout - Bodyweight legs/quads. Caroline Girvan Strong and Lean plus some elliptical.
Phy. therapy went well. As long as I keep my weights light and slowly increase, I should be able to get back to lifts that feel more normal.

Tomorrow I'll try something full body.

@justgirl81 - sorry to see your unacceptable so many days in a row.

I had a good weekend. Sunday I did a little stretching and some Plyometrics
This morning - monday - Just finished with the Gym doing Legs.
Tried to hit 2 Quad moves, 2 hamstring, 2 glute and then the adductor machine.
Threw in 1 set 15x3 of squat to push up burpees.

Tomorrow we fly out to Iowa to see family / esp my mom...
This morning I was reminded of the bible verse "Be Still and know that I am God"
It seems so simple, be still, I'm God. I've got this. Its all going to work out. Its all going to be alright.
Today mom gets her 60mg of Lasix (3x more than she normally gets) .... The doctors are trying to get her fluid retention down. And, if I understand it all, this should cause a huge whoosh today. Mom is really concerned about how hard that will be on her kidneys. So, its my job to see if the Jardians and the other medication the doctor hinted at, would be easier on her Kidneys - or not AND to see if Medicare will do anything to help pay for it. Then again....if it helps you stay alive longer and not ruin your kidneys.... That's worth a lot also.

I started a carringbridge site for her.

Don't worry sweetheart; unless her kidneys are in TERRIBLE shape, a one time dose of 60mg lasix is honestly common. She will pee a lot but it's for the best if the MD ordered it and they're monitoring her BP. Does she have CHF?
