No but it’s right next door! The Cabildo History Museum, St. Louis Cathedral and the Presbytère. The Mardigras is in the Prebytere which was supposed to be the bishop’s house but he never lived there. All the buildings go back to the 1700s.

Is it like mi carême that I run into in Nova Scotia. Now that I think about it, it has to be. Because Mardi Gras is part of it!

Mardi Gras -Fat Tuesday- is celebrated just before the start of Lent, a period of fasting and deprivation. In New Orleans it’s pretty raucous with costumes, floats, parades. And lots of partying.
And yes it’s related to Mi Careme celebrations by the Acadians from Nova Scotia who moved to Louisiana and became known as Cajuns.

Ha! I should maybe remember what I read! One and the same.... in the late 1700s! https://photos.app.goo.gl/fzC76qNkRgudX5K57
Not sure if it's readable but basically the British government in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick deported the Acadian settlers who were living there and they ended up as refugees in Louisiana.

Mardi Gras - Carnival - celebrations are huge in central and south America too. I was in Panama one year, what a party!

I was gifted my hockey playing daughter's hoodie. Women's large, fits easily, not even tight!

And it worked magic. They tied (lost in the shootout but for league purposes, it's a tie, the shootout thing is just for post-season tie breakers) yesterday and won today!

My appt went great. I was 164.2lbs this morning, I've held onto my muscle mass well, body fat is supposedly 25%. I got the green light to up my calories and carbs a bit, so I changed my settings.

I just ate an entire (small) Rave Apple. I ate half plain, then added cinnamon to the rest. My first apple in a year! I also picked up a couple kiwis. Since I'm already doing great with protein, my extra calories will go to fruit(!), potatoes and vegetables, lol.

Yeah. Today was a small apple and about 1/4 cup restaurant mashed potatoes, plus some sauteed Spinach.

Tomorrow I have an added kiwi fruit to a couple oz of raspberries, plus the red peppers and mushrooms I was already putting in my eggs and the frozen fire-roasted) pepper and onion mix in my dinner (sweet and spicy pork w/sauce and the veg over egg white noodles) and scallions for garnish!

Well - the last three times (!) were benign masses that still required surgery. Hope my luck holds out. In any case I’ll be getting more surgery. 🥺

Well. Given where we appear to be... more of the same seems like the best option! Misbehaving body parts are really annoying. Imaging artifacts suck kittens too!🤷‍♂️

I don't like those artifacts either! Talk about shaking up your central nervous system for not

Going to cross fingers for full stop after the needle biopsy, Yooly.

Either way I’m fairly certain there will be some surgery in my Christmas stocking. I’ve made an appointment with the surgeon the week after Thanksgiving. It is what it is.
