@Tabatha_Cain , oh my friend, as you know during the pandemic I went back to a very old job. I became a cashier at a large grocery store in my area. People absolutely do complain and blame the cashier for the prices. I understood. They weren't angry at me anymore than they are at you. All lay people know when prices are really high CEOs etc other ones that get the money. I would just emphasize with them and tell them I feel it also. That I wish it wad in our control but it is not. I do it nicely with a sympathetic smile. For some reason I would always able to get away with staying it. It is too bad but everybody at some point as they stop to get a job and not required to work in a public service position. They would rethink their action. But they don't.
@Patti241, are you doing okay with the cold coming though. I'm glad your friend is back home! You'll not have to go out.
@Cruising132, Enjoy the weekend. It sounds like a lot of fun. I'm still trying to learn how to use my sewing machine. I just have to do it and I'll be fine. I used to sew quite a bit when I was young. I loved the new ones now with all computer stuff in it. It's so cool! I hope you do well with avoiding all the sweets. That can be a challenge. I'll usually grab just a little bit that's enough to curb want. If you'd like to post a few pictures, we'd like to see what you're working on. Safe travels.
@sweetpeasmom55, I think if anyone of us really wantd a lot of abuse? Lol I would not do this work at Walmart. I don't know why that place is usually cray cray but it is. When I work for the city of Portland (ME) In excise tax (taxes on cars and everything else has always been very high in Maine) The way we would help ourselves through all the anger was at the end of the day a supervisor would say who had the worst resident. The rules were simple. You could not antagonize them. If we became at all upset, we will automatically not allowed to participate in this. You had to remain calm all day long. Please keep in mind we are on Harbor therefore it also includes boat tax. The more money they have the angrier they got. At the end of the day the person that had worse resident got a special mention and something little for a gift. It wasn't the gift. Of course that mattered. It was a very Petty gift. Sometimes it was just a new pencil. But it was the fun that a supervisor made it by seeing what we were going through and commending us at the end of the day. We all work very hard to be the one that got that special mention. It was weird but it was fun and it taught me a lot about how you treat the people that work under you. That came in handy when I went to college at the large grocery store. Many many decades ago.
Today I went shopping for groceries with a couple of friends. It was my first time with one of them. She is in her '90s and she's very very funny and very very kind. We were in her City not ours. Everybody knows her. It was rather entertaining. She had lived in that City for many decades. She is so cute. They had just bought out the hot soup. I got some of the lasagna soup. I had never had that before but it was to die for! The sodium was very high, The calories were higher then I'd like. I looked up the recipe and I will modify it. It will cut back to calories so that it will be about 450 or a cup and a half. Yummy! The sodium will go from 600 down to about 450. I like that. I am curious how many of you who cook modify recipes? Because I am in heart failure and also have microvascular angina as well as kidney issues. I have to be careful with sodium. My limit is 1,500 mg a day. That has been a challenge. I am now starting to work with the nutritionalist we met today.1 -
@Dianedoessmiles1 thanks Diane. I decided last night to put together some hummus and veggie sticks to help with the sweet table attack😊. I also made a protein shake with fruit to give me some sweetness. Hopefully this will help as well.
I use to sew as a young girl but in my forties I decided to try quilting and never turned back. I love the creativity. If you can sew a straight line you can quilt. I definitely will post some pictures of my work from the weekend. I’m attempting a denim blanket for the beach. Friends of mine made these many years ago out of old blue jeans for their kids because sand rolls right off denim. My Grandchildren are coming to visit in the summer and I’m about 10 minutes from a beautiful beach. I plan to take them there and use this blanket.1 -
Good Morning VIP friends:
I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Saturday and it is our day off. Joe and I are going to go look at a house this morning. We found out yesterday that the house we want is eligible to use Joe's VA Loan for. We are so excited. Now today we are going to go look at it. I am so excited about going to look at the house. Joe and I decided we are taking no one with us. We want our first look to be just us and the realtors and not anyone else's opinion on what we should do for the house. I have a list of questions to ask the Realtor. Hopefully she will be able to answer some questions since we is standing in for the actual realtor that will not be back until the 11th from Florida. That is going to suck because if we decide we want to put in a bid for the house it will have to wait until she gets back.
@cruising132 - Yay on the quilting weekend. I would love to do that. Sounds fun. Although my mother taught me hand quilting. So it does take a lot longer than one weekend to finish a quilt. Last time it took me 6 months to finish one.
@SweetPeasMom55 - Yes it is tough. I do notice though that people are more mean when they are on the phone. Like they have no consequences. In person if they get too bad you have a manager step in and tell them to calm down or you call the police. On the phone I have no one who can step in for me and I can only ask them to stop yelling and using foul language. I don't have anyone who can jump on the call and take over for me. That is what makes it so rough.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is true. People will blame anyone for price increases. The issue I see is that people don't walk into a grocery store and start yelling at people and demanding they change the price of their eggs. That usually gets them kicked out of the store, but on the phone what are we going to do. We can only ask them politely to not use foul language or yell at us. We still have to help them though.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday
Tabatha1 -
Diane: yeah, we are expecting 5 inches of snow0

@Tabatha_Cain I know many realtors and usually they have an agreement with a fellow realtor and share the commission. Do what's best for you. You don't want to miss out on something because someone is on vacation.
People swearing it seems that some people curse non stop. They can't speak without a curse word every so many words. My co-workers use the F word a lot. I don't swear and when my daughter lets it rip. I am always shocked.1 -

NATIONAL PLAY OUTSIDE DAY
The first Saturday of every month is National Play Outside Day. This National Day presents opportunity to remind everyone to get outside and enjoy the fresh air through play.
#PlayOutsideDay
All year long, we are given numerous opportunities to get outside and play. But sometimes, life, responsibilities, and distractions keep us from spending time in the fresh air as we should. National Play Outside Day is a reminder to stretch our legs and expend some energy in the great outdoors.
8 Benefits of Outdoor Play
Why is playing outside so good for us? Besides getting us off the sofa or away from the desk, it also gives us an opportunity to explore our neighborhoods. While it's impossible to list all the benefits of outdoor play, we do have a few to share.
1. Playing outdoors is a freeing activity. It frees us from routines, enclosed spaces, and frames of mind.
2. The outdoors fills us with energy. Whether it's the fresh air, sunshine, or physical activity, we perk up and become motivated to accomplish things.
3. It clears the cobwebs from our brains. We sometimes get stuck on a topic, project, or issue and are unable to resolve it. A change of scene often brings clarity we didn't have before.
4. Outdoor play provides terrific physical activity for our bodies. Our hearts pump fresh oxygen to our limbs and brains.
5. We experience new sights and sounds. Children get to experience the world around them.
6. As a social activity, playing outside encourages positive interactions.
7. When you play outside every month, it becomes habit-forming - and this is one good habit to have!
8. It stimulates the imagination. Outdoor play almost has no boundaries. Your yard can be a kingdom or the playground can be a mountain to scale.
We've only scratched the surface of the benefits of outdoor play. There are so many more! So, be sure to get outside with the family on the first Saturday of every month - or even more often than that!
20 IDEAS FOR NATIONAL PLAY OUTSIDE DAY
We know the seasons change, so what we were able to do outside last month will be different this month. However, that shouldn't stop you from celebrating the day. This is your monthly reminder that it's time to get outside and play. We have suggestions for every season that we're sure you'll enjoy!
1. Explore hiking trails near you.
2. Visit the local swimming pool or even take swimming lessons.
3. Check out every park in your neighborhood and climb, slide or swing on every playground set.
4. Start a game of catch, kickball, tag, or Frisbee or make up a game.
5. Go to the beach.
6. Run through the sprinkler.
7. Go camping.
8. Go fishing.
9. Fly a kite.
10. Jump in a pile of leaves.
11. Build a fort - of leaves or snow or whatever is handy.
12. Walk around the block.
13. Go for a bike ride.
14. Build a snowperson.
15. Go sledding.
16. Identify the constellations at night and look for meteors.
17. Visit your favorite state or national park.
18. Find some fun activities in your community. You'll probably be surprised most are free to the public, too!
19. Introduce some of the games you used to play to your children. Whatever you do, be sure to get outside and play!
20. Use #PlayOutsideDay to share you outdoor fun on social media.

@Cruising132, Smart idea to increase your protein!! I used to be such a candy hog!!! Any kind, any time!! I still do enjoy candy, but now a fun size bar is enough. I had read eons ago "After the first few bites ask yourself does it taste as good as it did on the first bite?" Sometimes it really did, but often nahhhhh not unless it was a favorite. Also to tune into "Am I hungry?" If so EAT!! Am I thirsty? Often, we think we are "hungry" but, we may have eaten a few hours before. Just a few things to help mull around, we all are different, what helps one, may not another. LOVE the idea of sand NOT STICKING to a blanket on the beach!! WOW!! Hey, that's awesome!!!
@Tabatha_Cain, How did the viewing of the house work out? Do you like it? Are you both good with the price? A friend of mine had looked at a house, they fell in LOVE with it at once but so had many others. Their realtor is a friend of ours, he suggested they write to the homeowners, explaining how much they loved the house. The improvements they'd make but mostly complimenting them on the yard. A gorgeous yard!! The homeowners had worked hard on it. My friends looking to buy it assured them that would continue. They'd do some changes in the yard but maintain the high standards the homeowners had set. Based on that letter their bid though not the highest, WON the homeowners hearts!! They got it at the price they wanted!! I hope this works out for you if you want it. With customers on the phone, I suppose they think "if you can't see me, I don't need to be as careful." ANYTHING dealing with money is hard right now, and Insurance companies it's often thought of "will only rip you off." Of course, that's not true, but costs are going up. Do you sell to people from all over the US or mostly in MI?
@Patti241, now my friend have not I always been kind to you? In turn if so, PLEASE SEND ME SOME OF THAT SNOW!! LOLOL, I know if you could, you WOULD!!! It of course is not coming up to Maine.
@Sweetpeasmom55, Its unreal how many people love the F word. My usual comeback to them if I know them even a bit is "using the F Bomb may feel good, but it shows a lack of education. Otherwise, there are so many other words which are more expressive which can be used, and they work way deeper." They usually give me the BLANK STARE, but over time hehehehehe it works. In general. Some fall into the f bomb as an emphasis without realizing how often they use it. If someone is very upset, I just roll off me.
@Kurtize, today I had a fancy hot chocolate, your picture is reminding me of it. It was an awesome HC!! Clearly it was put through a machine so rich and creamy. I had them add pumpkin spice, the girl looked at me SHOCKED AND EWWWWW!! But it was wonderful!!
Today got errands done right off before 10 AM!! YO!! I am not usually moving much at that time unless I have to. LOL I hope I am NOT turning into a morning person!! HA! It was cold out, but I didn't bother to zip my jacket up. My heart rate goes up to 112 easily when walking though it was 24 and with the wind chill (what the temperature feels like on your skin) was 14 my heart rate makes me HOT!! I did though need mittens for thee walk. I went to drop off bottles (Maine has a 5 cent deposit on bottles. I save this up yearly then i do something fun with someone else usually at no cost to them) went to the bank (they are across the street from each other, the grocery store (bottles) and bank I can see from my place) it took me 70 mins in total. I WISH we were in week 1!! I can't normally do that much exercise!! it was fun to be out. I crashed when I got home, later a friend and I went shopping for clothes I got a pair of jeans and a few shirts, and out to eat. I couldn't do more. Home and slept for 3 hours!! Hehehehehe happy Izzy and Oscar kitties! They LOVE it when we do this, and so DO I!!
Pictures of the harbor this AM! Some ice on it, I never tire of this view!!

Good Morning VIP friends:
I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Sunday and Joe and I have church online today. After Church we have 3 couples coming to look at my home. So we are working on straightening it up a bit. Joe claims we are polishing a turd. I agree. My house is in really bad shape. All the carpets are ruined, due to my lack of cleaning for several years due to some serious depression that set in. Then I finally snapped out of my depression with help from my son and well we got our stuff together, but the carpets were already ruined. I have tried having companies come in and clean it, but well it isn't working. So all this is totally my fault.
@SweetPeasMom55 - That is cool. We did go see the house. Yes I used to be one the cursed a lot. Then I just decided I did not want to live with so much negativity. So I stopped using foul language for the most part.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Yes we went and saw the home. The owner is deceased and the family is selling it. So they don't know much about it. But right now there is no one interested because it was a manufactured home and they did convert it but doing additions into a home with a deed and an affidavit of affixture. Our loan company says it then qualifies as it does not have a HUD tag on it. I actually deal with insurance for 11 different states. They all complain about their pricing. No difference at all. We have a phone meeting with our realtor on Monday Morning. That is awesome that you got so much done. I am sure it will happen again and you will able to log it then.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday

Quilt retreat is over and the denim blanket is about 2/3’s done. Having a lot of fun with it but I need to make many, many, yards of bias tape to sew onto it. I’ll send over a pic when it’s done. I’ll need a few weeks 😄

NATIONAL KETO DAY
National Keto Day hits January 5th with an approach to transforming our health. Recent research suggests the high-fat, low-carb ketogenic or ‘keto’ diet offers a number of benefits.
#NationalKetoDay
Benefits
Two of the most significant perks seen with the keto diet are weight loss and healthy blood sugar support. In fact, studies have shown improved glycemic control for those with type 2 diabetes while adhering to a ketogenic diet.
Other health benefits of a keto diet may include healthy cholesterol and blood pressure support. It may also be beneficial for those with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
Keto Plan
How does the diet work? By eliminating carbohydrates, your body will use up its store of glycogen first. Then it will move into ketosis and begin burning fat.
Primarily, a keto diet consists of healthy fats, like eggs, avocado, olive oil, and sustainably-raised meat. Nuts, seeds, dairy, and low-carbohydrate vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, and green peppers are also easy to incorporate. Coconut oil, grass-fed butter, and ghee add fat and flavor to a keto diet. Occasionally, small servings of berries are added to the menu.
Eliminate these foods if you are considering a keto diet:
• sweets, sugar, sodas, baked goods
• grains, whole grains, and starches
• fruits, starchy vegetables
• hydrogenated oils, vegetable oil
• diet foods, including low sugar, sugar-free, low-fat foods
HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL KETO DAY
If you’re considering the keto approach to a healthier lifestyle, or are already engaged in it, whip up your best keto meal or snack, and post a pic of it to Instagram using the hashtag #NationalKetoDay. For every post, The Vitamin Shoppe will donate $5 to Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization that provides food on weekends to elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry.
You can also stop into your local The Vitamin Shoppe the weekend of the 5th to sample various keto products for free. Make sure to follow @vitaminshoppe on Instagram for more details!

@Tabatha_Cain, oh cool that others aren't as interested in the house!! My Dad moved into what was a "trailer park" for people 55 Plus. They assured him the rules were changing, and they sure did!! To still be a "trailer park" if people wished to fix up their houses one of the rules was "one wall of the trailer must be intact." Mum and Dad took everything (Well they hired others to do the work) down to nothing except for that one wall which when finished as in the spare bedroom with sheetrock over it. They had a house made. It was GORGEOUS!! I loved it so much!! Sounds like what you are looking at will be nice. so sorry about the depression and the toll it took on your place. Yes, that will drop the market rate down some, but most people REDO the flooring styles anyways, so hopefully not by much!! Oh, people are people with attitudes!! Today I was with 3 other friends taking one home. The light turned yellow, so my friend stopped. The guy behind us in a truck, big truck, HONKED SO BADLY!! That didn't help him when we did take off, slowly so slowly. She did do the speed limit no need to piss him off more. YO people can be idiots. LOL We know that working with the public and most jobs include some of them. But the good ones far outweigh the few nasty ones.
@Cruising132 HEY WTG!! Sounds like a perfect weekend!! WOW Nicely done to get so much done. Also, GREAT NSV!! In not eating the junk food!! You will do wonderful!! Smiling, I enjoyed your post, well I always enjoy the posts, but SMILING!
@Kurtize, oh man girl!! I DID NOT and I am NOT getting any snow from this storm and seemingly for the time being it'll be at least 10 days or more. JEALOUS!! It's almost 9:30 temp is 14 but feels like 3 (F). The harbor is gorgeous with ice!0 -
Good Morning VIP Friends:
I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Monday and it is my long work day. I also have a call from the realtor this morning before work. That is what I am super excited about. I mean we may be putting in a bid on a new home today or tomorrow. Not exactly sure on what his work day looks like. Here are some photos we took of the house.
@cruising132 - Yay, that will be a good quilt when it is done. You did great not taking in any junk food over the retreat weekend.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - That is true. The good do outweigh the bad. Joe and I only honk at people who sit at green lights and don't move. I posted some photos of the house we want to get. Today is the meeting with our realtor and I cannot wait.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

Good afternoon and happy Monday. It was cold again last night, 12 degrees, this morning got up 16.
We waited until noon to go shopping it was 35 then. Right now 41.
@Tabatha_Cain the home looks great, hope everything goes the way you guys want.
Cleaned the kitchen today and the computer room. Trying to make a schedule and stick to it. Doing so so on this project. Have a great rest of your day. Hugs and blessings

@Tabatha_Cain Good luck on the house! I was a realtor many years ago in Illinois, the contracts should still be able to be sent out even if the realtor is on vacation (it's mostly all electronically these days). I always had someone in my office as back-up if I was out of touch; just had to share the commission with the other agent.
Anyone is welcome to any and all snow that comes my way (hint hint @Dianedoessmiles1); just come and get it! I really hope it's not nasty driving in the morning, otherwise, I may just work from home and go in on Thursday or Friday instead. However, my boss says she will be in tomorrow and I have only seen her once in the last 3 months due to her traveling all of the country what seems like every week these days!
@cruising132 I know, right? I can barely keep up with the folks on my own team!

Fun Fact:
NATIONAL CUDDLE UP DAY
Each year on January 6th, National Cuddle Up Day encourages us to snuggle up with someone for the health benefits and more!
#NationalCuddleUpDay
January typically has some of the coldest days of the year, so what better way to stay warm and reap the health benefits of cuddling on National Cuddle Up Day? Whether it's a three-dog night (a night so cold it takes three dogs to cuddle up with to stay warm) or only slightly chilly, there are multiple benefits to cuddling with a human or canine, or other pet.
Cuddling releases oxytocin. This hormone alone has tremendous health benefits. Besides giving us warm and fuzzy feelings, oxytocin reduces pain. So when the cold has made those muscles and joints ache, cuddling can help reduce those aches and pains.
Oxytocin also helps reduce heart disease, lowers blood pressure, stress, and anxiety. Of course, insurance carriers would probably cover cuddling if it weren't free since it's such a huge health benefit!
Communication is more than just e-mails, texts, or conversations. Physical touch also communicates trust, commitment, safety, and reassurance. This goes for human-to-human contact as well as human-to-pet contact; cuddling expresses all these things, which are vital to a healthy relationship.
Cuddling also boosts sexual desire. Dopamine is released, stimulating the brain to seek pleasure. But dopamine also can improve memory and focus as well.
Don't have someone to cuddle up with? Make an appointment for a massage. Studies show massage provides similar benefits.
HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL CUDDLE UP DAY
Schedule a cuddle-up session with someone you love. Invite your pet up on the sofa for a snuggle session or schedule a massage.
Before you take part in a round of snuggling, take stock of your mood. What are your aches and pains? Rate them on a scale of 1-10. Do you feel a bit like an ogre? You know, slightly moody or overly cloudy.
After you soak up the benefits of your cuddle up, re-evaluate your pain, your mood. Was there an improvement? Did you get a dose of oxytocin, a natural mood boost, and pain relief? If so, remember to use #NationalCuddleUpDay to share on social media.
NATIONAL CUDDLE UP DAY HISTORY
We continue researching the origins of this snuggly holiday.
Cuddle Up FAQ
Q. Can I just get a hug instead?
A. Absolutely! Hugs are very beneficial, too.
Q. Does it need to be cold to cuddle?
A. No. Cuddling can happen any time of year, but it's understandable to prefer cuddling during the cooler months.

@Tabatha_Cain LOVE that kitchen!! Mine is a gallery kitchen with a nice pantry, which is fine for me, but for you and Joe this is GREAT!! OH NO DOUBT Chloe will love the running space!!! As with any new home you'll make yours! Oh, I hope you both can get it!! Time will tell.
@Patti241 how much did you get? AND I'D TAKE IT ALL!! ALL OF IT!! Every last flake. Hehehehe
@Cruising132, Oh it's not easy at first!! when I am on this feed, I always use my computer so I can have 2 screens open side by side. That way I can respond accordingly, please know no member has to respond to the posts, if you choose to respond to 1 or 2 etc. that's the members choice. Some I can tell when someone only post, but never read other posts or if they do, they rarely respond in that I do not respond to those, likely they'll never read them. I am on Positively Strong 4 Life and am also an extra leader there, along with being an over all leader. I often spend 4 hours a day on the computer. GOOD thing I am not working!
@Kurtize, your temp sounds much like ours!! STAY WARM!! Nice goal with the schedule.
@Ronnie_happy2ranch HI Ronnie!! Hehehehhe you KNOW I'll TAKE SINGLE SNOWFLAKE!! HAPPILY!!! How much did you get in CO? I had to laugh so hard yesterday. I had texted my oldest brother who lives outside of Wichita (KA) asking him the same question. He responded at that moment with 4"s and went to text "Sue (his wife) isn't used to this. I told her if she stands outside quietly as the snow falls, she'll hear the flakes hitting the ground. She does not believe me." "Dear Sue, R is right, but since it's harder for you, if you take off your jacket, hold your arms straight out which will help your ears at a slightly different angle you'll be able to hear them as they land." From R "she says we are crazy it's not working she's feeling foolish. " Oh, in that case, Sue please take off your shoes, you'll be able to also feel them hit the ground." I do not think I am allowed to go there now. LOLOLOL POOR SUE!!! Our family is this way, and though she's been a member for quite a while hehehehe she just does not get it. The people who are quite serious are our FAVORITE VICTIMS!! I mean, our favorite people. NAH!! VICTIMS!
Today has been a slow day, but I needed that.0 -
Good Morning VIP Friends:
I hope you are all doing well this morning. Today is Tuesday and well my day is going rough. It started rough yesterday since our lender pretty much lied to us. They told us the house I shared pictures of would have no problem being approved through the VA home loan and well now he is saying that it won't. He doesn't think it will be allowed, but he did not tell us. He told our realtor. I am so upset about that. Like just be honest. We told him it was a manufactured home and it was coverted with a deed and affidavit of affixture now, and that we looked and there is no hud tag. So he said it will pass. So we told our realtor to make an offer. Our realtor called the lender to get information for the Bid offer and that is when the lender says he has concerns about it passing instead of telling us. Now my home sale is at risk because if I cannot find a house and put a bid in and get it accepted this guy who wants to buy my house is not going to hang around and wait.
@cruising132 - I write down notes. Then I type my response to people based on my notes. I try not to leave anyone out until they don't require a response.
@Kurtize - Thank you. As you can tell from my intro that we are having trouble with our lender lying to us about important details. Not sure I want to work with him anymore.
@Ronnie_happy2ranch - Yeah we are now going slow. Which is going to mess up the sale on my home now. As my home is being sold for cash and they want it right away. So as you can see from the notes about the lender is messing with us. I hope the weather is not too bad so you can see your boss if you need to.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - As you see I am quite upset at our lender. He lied to us. Now my house sale might not happen. I am so upset We many have a work around though.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.

Early bobbleheads, known as bobbers or nodders, developed from Germany. They took root in the United States pop culture in the 1950s and 60s. Bobbleheads resurged in the late 1990s when professional sports teams began using them as promotional items. Today, as toys and collectibles, bobbleheads continue to amuse and captivate us.

Don has an appt for Friday for his surgery on removing the tumor from his hand. Tomorrow we go for the pre-op. We have to be there at 8:30 tomorrow, hope it will be a little warmer than today. It was 18 in morning, 36 now. Didn't do much, did something to my leg it hurts just below the knee and bothers me when I walk. Did some stretching exercises. Hoping that will help.
Well have a great rest of your day.

@Tabatha_Cain , I know you were hoping to use the VA, is there another way of going about to still get the house? Is there another program that you may both qualify for? If you sell your house without having a place to move into of your aunt quite yet, would it be feasible to rent for a couple of months or until you're able to find a place? I know that hard and there's no doubt about that, but it's an option that some people pay if your house sells for enough money. So sorry it's an added stress but we both know when you buy a house even in the ideal of circumstances there's always stress . that person should not have lied to you , was it an actual lie or were they just uninformed? Making up am answer which also is not well.
@Patti241 , Oh! But assured I'd take that 5 inches or more in a heartbeat!1. I would be smiling so much to have that. Did another storm coming on Saturday but again rain will be left out. This is so weird. We always used to get tons and tons of snow.
@Kurize, are you driving tomorrow or are you guys being driven by somebody? Is it far from where you are? Hopefully it will be warmer out for you. Of course, once were in the car and we crank up the heat. It doesn't seem so bad. Please let us know how Don's appointment goes. As well as hun. How are you handling this? Many people think about the person going through it but forget or don't realize what a toll it takes on the other spouse. It certainly does in a different way but often a deeper way. We are here for you. I loved your quote. I laugh so hard. That's how I feel!!
I had a good time today. I was with a bunch of people that I really enjoy. My friend who cleans also came over and played with Oscar and I don't know how she does it but my place looks amazing when she leaves. To be young again. The two kitty cats are now playing Oscar is out in the other room. Yowling because Izzy came in this room and he can't find her. LOL LOL

NATIONAL BUBBLE BATH DAY
On a cold winter's day, relaxing in a nice warm/hot bubble bath sounds like the perfect way to commemorate National Bubble Bath Day. Is it no wonder we celebrate it annually on January 8th?
#NationalBubbleBathDay
The bubbles on top of the water (also known as foam bath or foaming bath) insulate the bathwater, keeping it warmer for a more extended period.
Children find bubble baths fun and enjoy playing with the bubbles, which entice them to take their baths.
Some bubble bath, bath foam, or foaming bath serves a dual purpose and can also be used to wash skin or hair.
Bath foam preparations may be in the form of a liquid, gel, or solids in the form of powders, grains, or tablets.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL BUBBLE BATH DAY
Prepare yourself a relaxing bubble bath. Bubble baths offer health benefits, too.
Relieve congestion - During the dry winter months, we are more susceptible to colds and chest infections. Let the steam from a bubble bath help loosen congestion and sooth a cough.
Ease sore muscles - Are muscles aching from new year's workouts? Ease the ache with a warm bubble bath. Add some Epsom salts, too.
Sleep better - Add some lavender oil to your bubble bath at night and relax your body and mind before bed. Relaxed muscles combined with the lavender will nudge your body toward a better sleep routine.
Reduce tension - Let the worries of the day wash away.
Share why you enjoy a bubble bath.

NATIONAL BUBBLE BATH DAY HISTORY
The country has been celebrating the day since at least 1999. However, we've been unable to find the creator of the day. Maybe they're still taking a bubble bath.
Bubble Bath FAQ
Q. Should I add bubble bath to the tub before or after adding water?
A. For the maximum bubble factor, add the bubble bath after there are a few inches of water in the tub but before you've finished filling it.
Q. Do bath bombs create bubbles?
A. Bath bombs create more of a temporary fizz releasing oils and aromatics to your bath. The bubbles it creates do not last long. However, you can use both a bath bomb and bubble bath for a more luxurious experience.
Q. Does bubble bath only come in liquid form?
A. No. Bubble bath also comes in bars, granules, and pods.
