Idea for Interaction-
How about posting recipes that have worked for us on occasion? Is there a way to post photos?
Sharing/posting recipes would be fun @MoStacy! I know there’s a separate thread for that in F2F, but it doesn’t seem to get used that often, but sharing recipes, meal ideas, etc would be fun! Have you made anything interesting of late that you can share? My meals are pretty simple and boring. 😆 I could use some new ideas.
As far as photos - yes, you can post photos!
Here is a photo (a screen shot that I marked up) showing you the photo symbol to use. Click on that and then it’ll ask you to select the photo/image that you want to post:

My meals and nutrition for today in spoiler. Had 1307 calories - a bit over my 1200 limit, but that’s ok.1

I thought I had excused myself, sorry. I didn't get back from holiday until the early hours of Monday and I'm still a bit lost in time 🤪
Today, I weigh 78.9 kg/173.94 lb
....15 days in Italy, eating extremely well, plus my birthday yesterday (we're going out for a meal on Saturday, so it won't look great on Sunday either). I'll get back on track next week.

Yes, it was great. We walked a lot, saw a lot and ate a lot of good food.
Where have you been? We had a weekend in Milan and a week in Florence, with day trips to Bologna and Pisa and an afternoon in Ventimiglia. It's a country with lots of things I like and such a depth of influential history.
Living in Prague, it's not that far for us to travel to.0 -

@BodyTalking - Not a problem, you are now excused for the week. Here's hoping you feel back to normal by next week Happy belated birthday!0 -
And before I completely forget...
Big shoutout to @daria0919 for stepping up into a Motivator role for the team, joining BodyTalking to keep this party as motivated as possible. Can't wait to see how this party looks with your help!4 -

Didn’t you love the food in Italy?! I went there this summer- did not gain 1 lb. So much walking! What a wonderful trip.❤️🇮🇹1 -
@MoStacy and @BodyTalking - yes! The food was amazing and so was the wine. We too walked everywhere once we got to a destination by train. In Siena we found a restaurant by chance, not one catering to tourists. You had to go down some stairs and ended up in a room that looked like a cave. They did not speak English at all and they made all the food completely from scratch, including the pasta itself, which they made fresh once you ordered it. The best food I ever had!
Our first trip we went to Rome, Florence, Siena, Luca and Pisa, of course hitting all the major sites, museums and the Batican.
Our second trip we were in Chiavari, where my sister and her husband own an apartment three blocks from the Mediterranean Sea (there you buy your apartments). We stayed with them and we went on day trips along the coast.
Both trips were amazing!
Where did you go @MoStacy?1 -

Way to walk Weight No More!
Nice stepping for the first week of the year! Big kudos to @BodyTalking, who increased her steps by almost 30% this week and met and exceeded her stro goals! And when I say exceeded, I mean more than double step goals!
If you want to join the step challenge for January:Just post your steps by the end of Wendnesday after the week ends. I'm flexible and might wait a day or two for you. If we're 'friends', I may drop a personal note to you to check in. If we aren't, and you'd like a personal note, send me (melaniedscott) a friend request.
Part of the challenge or new and want to add or update a goal?If you want to... be bold (heehee), let us know how many steps you want to hit every day on average and we'll keep track of it for you!
For anyone confused about where we are ...This is post is for Dec 29 - Jan 4. For those interested in joining the January step challenge (you can join any time!), the week of January 5 (1/5-1/11) steps should be posted by Wed, January 15th.
Awesome walking steps team!

Yes! We stayed above the fish market in Catania for 10 days so had plenty of fresh fish, veg and meat - there was a butchers at our door and fruit and veg stands beside the fish place. The street food was great and the local pizza/pasta a la Norma, with aubergine and sometimes courgette, was delicious, as were the arancini. We even had an oyster for breakfast one day. I did not try some of the local delicacies, such as horse or donkey meat, nor the spleen or intestines. Pistachio is another main ingredient there and I had several things with pistachio crumble or cream. Then, pasta, pinsa and panini in Rome!
So many fresh and tasty ingredients👌
🇮🇹💚🫶❤️

Late weigh in Sunday
Previous weight 181.7 lbs
Current weight 180.1 lbs
Sorry I am late for my weigh in, I completely forgot on Friday (I had a 3h drive in the morning to take my daughter to her competition, we stayed a couple of days and got back in the night)
I tried to track everything and focus on finding a lunch option that works for me. I also followed my running training plan and did a benchmark run on Monday, a long easy run on Wednesday and a time trial run today, 14.3 km for the week
I was at my daughter's team competition Friday and Saturday, with a team meal organised at the restaurant Friday night and team breakfast on Saturday so maybe a bit more food than usual, so I am very glad for the loss this week
@BodyTalking thanks for sharing your photos, it looks like you had an amazing time and a lot of great food2 -

Congrats, team!
Our very own @daria0919 worked up to that overall leaderboard!
Shoutout to @fknlardarse for making it onto the team winners board!
It's a shame @Emilienewme weighed in late, because she would have landed that #2 spot and knocked me off the board entirely - maybe you'll get me next week?
How are we hitting our goals this week? I know I'm going to be focusing on getting more sleep and general sleep hygiene.2 -
My goal is to get up early this week before work and get on that treadmill. And looking for less stress.3
-
I would like to find my energy again. That holiday drained me 😅 in a good way. I need to sleep better and at the right times. I'll add stretch, flex and strength exercises to my day. I'll force myself to get more walking into my day (weather permitting - it was snowing today, shouldn't be an excuse but I used it). I'll eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and add some kind of self-care into each day again.
Overall, eating less is what helps me lose weight, duh, so I'm back on the healthier eating wagon and cutting down on the things that are calorie busting. I didn't stray too far from that last month but did eat more than I had been.
One thing I need to be careful of is trying to focus too much on this and neglecting other things in life. Concentrating on my food and water intake, how much walking I did, how much exercise I did, logging details and joining challenges began to feel like a full time job and, while I had health problems, it almost was, but it was really just a distraction from more important things that are more difficult to do. I'll be prioritising home life, housework, friendships and work, with my wellbeing an ongoing parallel part of all of that.

Oh no! I haven't been on the leaderboard for a long time, I'll have to keep working hard. Thanks for the extra motivation 😃
My goals this week: I did well with my lunch prep last week so I would like to keep that habit. I would also like to try to wake up a little bit earlier to include some morning yoga 3 days a week
