    Last thought added... @BodyTalking you posted regular steps for Jan 5-11 but then (or earlier) posted 182k steps...where do those steps belong?

    That was just how many steps I walked on holiday in Italy ☺️

    @melaniedscott-Jan 5 steps is 6,549

    Thank you!
    @melaniedscott...
    I don't mind posting them all up on a certain day which will be best for you?

    I don't really have a preferance, as long as it is by Wed of the following week. For example...you posted last week's steps yesterday 19 Jan, that meets the Wed deadline and put them all on the same post. End of day on Sat or any time Sun-Wed is totally fine. Thanks!

    Did they get counted on steps challenge? Did I miss them?!? Because you deserve credit!

    I am really surprised that I lost anything. I am refocused this week. I meal prepped and I have my workout plan for the week. It helped that today our school was closed and tomorrow we are closed due to weather. So definitely no excuse today or tomorrow lol.

    @blessedgrandma5 - Still a great loss! Sometimes they sneak up on you.

    Also! Did you want to move your weigh day? The spreadsheet has your weigh-day set for Saturday, and since we post our results on Sunday, if you post your weights on Monday/Tuesday for the previous week's weigh-in, you won't be contributing to the group stats and also won't be eligible to be on our leaderboards. It's entirely up to you, but I'd hate for you to miss out. Let me know what you think.

    Good Morning Team!!

    Just looking for suggestions on what you all do for your exercise routine when it’s bloody frigid outside! What do you do to get a workout in or any type of exercise?

    Any workout video suggestions?

    @daria0919 -

    Classic Jane Fonda videos are still killer! I tried starting my days with one every morning at the beginning of the lockdowns in 2020, and I don't think I finished a single video because it catches up with you so quickly! I should try them again, see if my love of cardio can carry me through.

    I like 'grow with Jo' on YouTube, she has a mix of cardio, weights, dance and step video, quite upbeat and positive
    For yoga I like 'yoga with Kassandra'
    I have found the 'run and stretch' Chanel on YouTube full of warm ups and post run cool down stretches, mobility and so on really good for when I go for a run
    I have looked at other weight training videos but I haven't tried them yet

    If anyone has recommendations for pilates video I am interested, I need to work on my core

    Also a weird one, but could you use the spaces you go to? My daughter is ice skating 3-4 times a week, so I started walking around the top of the rink when she is training. It is a little bit repetitive but I managed 10k like that once.

    @Emilienewme I’ll have to take a look at “Grow with Jo” - thanks.

    I’m still having issues with my left ankle/foot. The custom orthopedic insert didn’t work - creating swelling in my ankle, so I went in today for another fitting. Hopefully this second attempt will be better. I’ll get the new one in a bit over a week.

    I’ve been totally bummed about not being able to walk/run much. If I try the ankle swells up again each time. The tendonitis also continues to bother me.

    There are a lot of videos on YouTube that I watch. I also like the app fiton. It is free and there are a lot of great videos.

    How many of you keep a food diary?
    What does yours look like?
    I often find good ideas from others.

    Here’s an article from the Harvard University Health Blog you can read on why keep a food diary:

    @minstrelofsarcasm I can change my weigh in day to today. It is probably better that way actually. I get in the mindset that I can cheat the first few days of the week and get better closer to weigh in.

    Hello,
    Looking for suggestions: Every time I get invited to a social function it involves FOOD! Progressive dinners, meetings with desserts, birthdays, dinner out, tailgating, ugh. What are some activities you do with your friends that don't involve eating?

    @blessedgrandma5 - You got it! Weigh-day has officially been changed to Wednesday. Great loss!

    @MoStacy -

    When it's warmer out, I like to invite people to go for a walk in one of Ohio's Metroparks. It gives us a good opportunity to get some fresh air, goof around in nature, see some cute woodland creatures, all that good stuff!

    In the winter, game nights are a classic, which may or may not involve food. There's also some pinball bars in my neighborhood - drinking is optional, destroying your coworkers in pinball is not. I've also recently been inviting friends to a mall department store or a thrift shop to see who can come up with the ugliest outfit (if you're with the right people, this is a blast!).

    Bringing a group of people to a fitness class can also be a ton of fun! Spin, zumba, yoga, pilates... lots of options there, and food isn't even allowed in a lot of those spaces.

    Aaaaaaand back to business...

    Weigh-Ins missing from this (and last!) week:
    @beekgirlly
    @purple1butterfly
    @nansbones7708

    Upcoming Weigh Days:
    @Laurabb99 - Today
    @Ljdanny - Tomorrow
    @Emilienewme - Friday
    @daria0919 - Saturday
    @Zumba_Luvah - Saturday

    As always, let me know if you need to be excused or moved to the Support Team!

    More on the Support Team...
    The Support Team is an extension of Team Weight No More. You can still be part of the step challenge, you just are no longer required to post a weekly update on your weight.

    Typically, the Support Team is only for when you are unable (for any reason) to weigh-in (e.g., physical/mental health reasons, waiting for a new scale, taking a break from focusing on weight loss, etc.), not just because you don't feel like checking in here on a weekly basis.

    It is expected that any member on the Support Team intends to return to the standard weight loss team when they are ready.

    And remember, two weeks in a row without weighing in or requesting to be excused leads to being dropped from the team at the end of the month. This isn't irreversible, but it's still a pain.

    I like to go hiking with friends--we usually eat after but a 7 mile hike balances that. I'm all about hydration when hiking and take 1-2 liters with me. One if my friends only takes a 16 oz bottle and I always worry.
