Today is the first day I feel like I'm seeing the light (praise Lord Jesus) at the end of the tunnel.
I've found relief in lots of prayer, rest, raw garlic, turmeric, vitamin C, and zinc. I believe walking is very important (even slow) with chest congestion, and always have her in upright position. Tons of fluids. Hot decaffeinated lemon in herbal tea. Laughter, hugs, pictures of happy memories and/or puppies and kittens. I think all of these things will help her recover.
p.s. I avoid robitussin since it is a cough suppressant. I like Mucinex because it is an expectorant, to help thin the mucus and get it out of the lungs via coughing. Fluid in the lungs becomes pneumonia if uncleared.0 -

Finally went back to work yesterday and today. Still a bit fatigued, some ongoing upper sinus congestion. Raw garlic was a huge game changer for the very painful sore throat and lung congestion; nearly instant relief.

Back at the gym and a few quads
@Justgirl81 what did you do with the raw garlic? My brother last night said he was out of Mucinex - so yay, he was taking the right stuff. You and I weigh about the same! YAY! So.... curious.... what weight would you LIKE to weigh? Me, 104# At this point I don't know why... I just have an image that 104# would be muscular/cut. LOL.
I was able to use the rowing machine (it wasn't being used) and the Lat pull down. Got in 9 sets 10-12 reps. Then went for the DB's since they are more my style for some single arm rows and pull overs.
Finished off by doing a few things that were quad related, oh and calves. AND I love to finish with a Wall sit for a song. Today was Shaboozy The Bar Song. 2.45
My Back - the Left side is feeling back to normal. The right side and sciatic is not and wakes me up from sleeping momentarily. I will go to the Chiropractor again today and I am trying to keep up with Physical therapy moves. Its like I need to make a schedule so I don't forget what I am supposed to be doing for my shoulder, bicep and back. The funny thing is, these are the moves we should be doing anyways.... if we were focused on our Yoga and mobility. anyways.... all that to say is that I am 75% better, headed in the right direction.0 -
Oooh - gonna have to try the raw garlic for my mom. Great point about the robitussin! It suppresses cough when you should be coughing! Fun! Maybe I’ll add some garlic to some chicken soup?
Forced myself to do a step aerobics YouTube video yesterday and a Les mills combat video today. I felt if I didn’t do something physical I wouldn’t be able to get out this emotional abyss. So far - feeling much better!!1 -

@ceebeeslim - Les Mills Combat is my all time favorite. ALL TIME (I have the DVD, as a mothers day gift from the year it was released. They sprung for the gloves and all!) I still use the videos at least 1/mo (many months 2-4times). Combat 60 is my fave. My gym offers Les MIlls on demand for $5 a month - I'm SOOOO tempted to try that!0 -

I eat about 1 clove every 4 hours until symptoms subside.
I think 105lbs; although, I think the goal is really lower body fat percentage coupled with more muscle, and foremost, healthy organs. I don't want to compromise any of my organs in order to achieve a number or aesthetic goal. I try to center my nutrition around brain healthy foods as much as possible especially.0 -

The chiro. was excellent yesterday. He released my piriformis. wow. So, now my job to increase that phys. therapy and find my Glute Med - they say that is a common thing, we use our piriformis to compensate - instead of the Glute mead.

Contemplating one more chiro however, I can tell that this time its my perifomis more so than my back SO...off to the school of youtube and I found a couple things to try for a few days. My pain is like..... 90% gone, simply from the Chiro.
Adding Hyper extensions. (this morning day 1)
and Glute MED work. I found Chat GPT ideas for being able to do this throughout my day at my desk. That will help a ton.
I hate hate hate calorie counting. Just some days though,..... Yesterday I did too many Hershey kisses (almost a 10oz bag I bet). Starting a 21 days of dialing it in to see if I can make progress in the mirror or on the scale.
Also trying to use some ideas from Chat GPT in my food plan. I told chat GPT what I was eating for the day and asked for suggestions, recommendations, etc. And told it what foods I had in the house that I oculd add to my meal plan. It came back with just a couple tweeks (like adding in 1 fruit and 1 salad) as well as vinegar. so, I will see how that plays out today.
