Evening Is going by so quickly and now is almost midnight. I will finish this post into the wee hours of Friday but that’s ok I fell asleep early evening. Guess I needed it! 😊
Linda, congrats on the good report with maintaining your weight, that’s Great, keep up the great work. I am sure you will meet your goal by the 19th when you see your Doctor with loosing more weight! I know you can do it. Keep up the great work! Congrats on your 1300 day streak with MFP wow, that’s awesome! This is so impressive. 😊 It’s so nice to have a clothesline to dry and air out your quilts, Afghans and Blankets outside. Everything smells so nice and fresh. I always used my clothesline all year round and sure miss it. You mentioned you weren’t expecting any snow in Grand Junction but Denver would have more. I have made a note that you are in Denver from the 12th to the 26th of February. Will be praying for Safe travels on the 12th for you.
Susan, so glad to read that you are feeling better about things and feeling a calmness, and Colin making jokes, this is good. My prayers continue for the recommendations to be made for Colin’s care. Praying for your family. Continue to keep Pastor Joe and Pastor Buddy in much prayer. So sorry it’s so hot and muggy there and sorry to hear about the flooding and your explanation on King Tides, so scary about the danger the Tides are causing and the flooding is so concerning. Praying a hedge of protection around you and Colin, your families property homes and all your community.
Barb, yes BC is getting the snow ❄️ with a lot. Today we got some flurries this morning but not the dump of snow the forecast said. We are expected to get more on weekend. Stay safe this weekend, hope you don’t get too much snow or freezing rain. I will pray for you that you will be a witness for your Buddhist neighbour, I know the Lord will use you and fill you with His Wisdom and give you the words that will touch her heart and draw her to Jesus. Thank you for praying for my Biopsy on the 13th and for wisdom for my Doctors as they care for me. Of course I am praying things will get better with the cancerous sores and your medication and you feel better for your trip in March.
Praying for Marilyn Sandi and JC. Have a blessed Friday and Weekend ahead. See you later in the day, hopefully not late at night. God Bless you all. 🙏🤗0 -
Linda, it does feel as though we have a calm patch here. It's a relief. Colin has a stress test on Monday that will take a good part of the day. I'm glad to hear you have maintained your weight. Sometimes loss takes awhile to register. You're doing the right things! It will happen.
Barb, yes, snow where I live in Australia would be a novelty. It does happen in the mountains of Australia. I just haven't lived where it snows! Except for one place, Toowoomba. It is on a Tableland and once it snowed lightly while I was living there. Thank you for praying for us. Praying you are given a chance to witness to your friend 🧡
Judith, I hope you are able to rest. Your biopsy day is coming up quickly. I hope you are snuggley warm, too.
It's another quiet day of working on things at home here.1 -
Judith praying for the upcoming biopsy next week.
Prayers you stay warm too Judith.
Linda
Prayers as you will be traveling next week to Denver. I wonder if you will get any of the snow we are to get. Stay warm
Susan. Continue prayers for you & Colin plus peace from God too.
Sorry about the humidity. Wish we could get some of it as so dry here.
Prayers for Colin as he will have a stress test. Probably more like on our Sunday but your Monday 🙏
Bua, my. Neighbor is to come home Sunday & then go to her father in laws house. So I may not see her. So just texting each other. Make hadn’t answered my text that sent yesterday, asking about her Thai dish she was to make.
Just pray for wisdom & this will be a long in time answered I’m sure.
Today was cloudy but normal temps.
Saturday we will watch Blake & Evan as his parents pick up their new van.
Sunday’s very cold & Monday ok.
Then the fun starts. Maybe 3 different now storms.
Monday night into Tuesday., then Tuesday & all Wednesday. Then maybe more.
Fun.
I hope I can get to Mariposa house to watch her as I’m chicken little when it comes to snow.
Prayers for all to have a great & safe weekend.
All in Gods hands.1 -
Today is my oldest granddaughter's 18th birthday. They will wait until we are there in a week to have a celebratory party. She has heard from three colleges out of the 5 she applied to and has received offers for scholarships from all three. Two of them will require her to live about an hour from Denver in the dorm. She is not accustomed to living away from her mother so that would be a huge change for her. We are praying that she makes the correct decision that will be the best for her. The plumber came yesterday and unclogged our drain in the bathroom sink with some sort of acid. He gave us the name of it so if it happens again we will not need to call him because it worked really well. He also gave us an estimate on fixing the shower so we can regulate the hot water better. Right now it is really hot or turns cold. I can not get it to be just warm which is what I like. He also will put some pipes under the house in the crawl space to recirculate the hot water with a pump so we do not have to waste so much water waiting for it to be hot in the back part of the house furthest from the water heater. The estimate for those two things are $2100. It would really be nice to have it done but I also hate to spend that much money. If we do it, our house would have greater value if we sell it and would be less irritation to me. We are praying about it so we do not make an impulsive expenditure.
Judith - how much snow has accumulated from your multiple snow storms you have had? Are the sidewalks and streets pretty slippery? I am glad that you have had a break in the "dumps" of snow you had. I hope you got enough sleep last night since you said you would be up past midnight on these threads.
Susan - praying the calm will continue in your house. Praying for Colin's stress test on Monday. Are they doing it with medication or does he have to exercise to do the test. I have had one on a treadmill but it was stopped when I started to have chest pain. It was decided I had generic "exercise induced angina". I am on medication that does help it. It has been a long time since I have had chest pains.
Barb - I am praying that your witness to Bue will continue to have an effect even if you have to do it via text. It sounds like you are in for a lot of storms next week. There are storms on the mountains forecast for next week so we will be watching the weather to see when we can cross the mountain passes safely. the snow plows are out getting rid of the snow quickly on the interstate so if we wait until it is over, the roads should be OK. I am glad that Glenn does all the driving in the truck in snow storms.
Marilyn - Did you get your shower drain unfrozen?1 -
Susan praying for Colin’s stress test on Monday. Also keeping you and Colin in prayer with all your hot muggy weather. So sorry. Hope it cools down for you. We are the exact opposite with snow and cold temps, our high today was minus 3 degrees Celsius and low tonight is minus 10 degrees Celsius! Forecast said 30% Snow tonight! This morning I brought out my Space Heater to get warm. So to answer your comment, yes I am warm with cozy pj’s and socks on, so snuggly warm! Yes, Biopsy coming up fast. Thanks for your prayers.
Barb, praying for you as you continue your witness to Bue, that the Lord with guide you with His Wisdom. Let us know how Bue is doing as she recovers now she is out of hospital and staying at her father in laws house. Read all about the storms and snow that is coming your way the next few days. Stay safe my friend. You said you are watching Evan and Blake on Saturday while they get their new Van. Hope they enjoy their new Van. You mentioned Tuesday-Wednesday could get cold and stormy, you are hoping you can get to the house to watch Mariposa. Praying the weather won’t be bad and you will get through the roads safely and be able
to watch Mariposa as you are hoping.
Linda, please wish your Granddaughter a Happy 18th Birthday 🥳 I am sure you will enjoy the celebration party when you are in Denver next week. So happy she has heard from 3 Colleges she has applied to and each of them have offered Scholarships from all 3. This is such a Big step but so exciting for her. Yes I will pray for wisdom that the right College is closen. You asked about the snow. My complex brings in Salt and Sand Ztrucks and keeps roadways parking and sidewalks passable. We have a by-law that everyone has to shovel their sidewalks and Stores have to shovel snow in front of their shops. Hefty fines for those who don’t comply. They plow main streets and highways but some streets have salt and sand poured on them to melt snow and ice. Side Streets are barely plowed as we don’t have enough snow ploughs and equipment. Thankfully we get our back lane ploughed as it leads into our complex and the complex pays for private ploughing. My yard and ramp is filled with snow but I don’t go out that way in winter. It’s cold here minus 3 today Celsius and tonight minus 10. Please pray we don’t get snow next week as my Handy dart cancels service if too much snow.
Thanks all for your prayers. Praying for you all. 🙏🤗0 -
Not sure what happened but as soon as I posted in this thread, new posts from Barb, Judith and Linda all showed up! I can't see my new post? 😕
I need to getvready for church now so will just say I have caught up on all your news and am thinking of you all and holding you in prayer.
I will tell you the floods continue in the north of our state but they ate hoping the flood levels will fall soon. They incorrectly reported that that had started a few days ago when the exact opposite was true. These floods ate thr highest they have had in 100 years....1 -
S Susan. Prayers for your flooding. I have not heard any more about it. So keep us informed
Prayers for the stress test Monday.
Prayers for the 2 pastors too.
Linda. Prayers you can decide what to do about the plumbing. I know that plumbing can cost a lot. Wisdom for you.
Stay warm if cold.
Judith
I sure wish out here they would clear the sidewalks w snow. They are suppose to but not many do. Plus if there is snow in the forecast they park in the street. It took freezer for the street to melt.
Even now at 5 weeks tomorrow I still se some snow left from the oiled. It’s amazing that it’s last so long.
Prayers for you with 2/13 appointment.
So our son in law & daughter got a brand new van today. They had it ordered.
It’s a navy blue dark blue & the sun makes it look brighter & lighter. We got to ride in it. Very smooth ride.
We, had a.nice time with the 2 grandsons. Jean, daughter is expecting her 3 son due
Easter. 4/19 is her due date 4/20 is Easter.
Bua has not answered my texts the last 2?days so just pray. In Gods time.
Our cold starts tomorrow & snow storms we are to get 2 starts Monday night.1 -
Today Glenn and I and two other friends went to serve at the food bank. They are having a food drive called "Souper Bowl" asking for soups during the time we have the super bowl. We went to do the quarterly cleaning before the food comes in from the donation centers they set up. I was really impressed with how things are so organized. They try to keep food that is more healthy to give out to the families. There are no qualifications to meet, it is open to all that need food. They also have a recipe book exchange where you can bring your books and get a new book. I got one that is called "Colorado Cache". It has sections about different towns in Colorado and some recipes from restaurants from that area. The book is about two inches thick so there are a lot of good recipes.
Judith - I'm like you in liking the cozy PJ's and warm socks. We do have a heater in our bedroom to warm it up before we get in bed. I'm glad it sounds like your area is being taken care of the roads and sidewalks. I'm praying especially on the 13th when you need to go get your biopsy. I assume that when you say "Handy Dart" you are talking about how you get to your appointments.
Susan - You will soon be waking up to Monday and taking Colin to the stress test. I pray things will go well and they will get the information they need about his heart health. Praying for Joe and Buddy that God's will will take place and comfort given to family as they are involved in their cares.
Barb - I am glad that your daughter and S-I-L were able to get a new van. I love the description of the color. We have a white car and it seems when looking at the parking lot when we go shopping, white is a very popular color. It is hard to tell which is our car when looking at the sea of white cars. Praying for Anabella's pain to be relieved with a higher dosage of pain medication.1 -
Susan thanks for updating us on the Floods in the North, Praying for the families there for their safety. Praying for Colin’s stress test on Monday. Also keeping the two Pastorsbin prayer and your family.
Barb, praying you will hear from Bua soon, God’s Will be done. Sorry your streets are not ploughed. Hope your coming storms are not severe and you don’t get too much snow. Your Son’s new Ban sounds so nice, Navy Blue and Dark Blue sounds so nice, glad you got such a smooth ride too. Glad you enjoyed being with your grandkids! Congrats on the new grandchild coming at Easter. Such a nice Blessing.
Linda, so nice you are able to help at the food bank. I like the theme making soup for them for Super Bowl. Great idea and soup and the food you give is so nice that everyone can come together and provide healthy food to those who need it. Love the sound of your new Cookbook, maybe you can share a recipe with us in our 2025 Recipe Thread? You are like me I love being in my cozy pj’s and socks by a warm heater to stay warm. You asked about the Handy Dart service. It is a service that is provided to those who cannot use public transit or skytrain due to medical issues. Dialysis patients, Cancer and Heart Diseases. A great service. I am trusting there won’t be any new snow the day I have my Biopsy.
Thank you all for your prayers. Have a Blessed Lord’s Day tomorrow! God Bless! 🙏📖0 -
Susan. Praying for the 2 pastors and wisdom for the doctors.
Praying for Colin’s stress test as it is Monday I’m sure there already.
Linda. Prayers for your day in whatever you need to get done.
Stay warm too. Be careful if you have snow.
Judith. Prayers you can keep the ounces that you had this week & maybe one or 2 more.
Also prayer as you have a biopsy this week. Praying for wisdom for drs too.
Is your snow all gone?
So we are to get 2 storms, one smaller starting Monday night. The big one is to be Wednesday.
I will be watching Mariposa 2 days this week Monday & Wednesday.
Bua is to come home today. She is kind of scared with being home, & the flu is going on at her husband’s father’s house. So a few days at home first.
I am a retired Para professional who worked in high school, with special ed kids. I did all kind of things to help the SPED students. So I know I can help her. So maybe more opportunities. Praying I’ll just wait for God’s time. Text & ask her if needs help & maybe check on her when I am home in
the afternoons. 🙏🏻
Stay warm & safe.
Susan stay cool.0 -
Sunday here was good. We had a gospel message in the morning with visitors at church then fun with Inara in the afternoon. Colin was too tired for the evening service but wanted me to go. We had the Pastor Cam from Cairns and his wife Lauren visiting. I have known them since they were children. Lauren is undergoing chemo and radiation for cancer treatment so is here for that. They say the floods south of Cairns are huge and ongoing.
We're on the way to Colin's stress test and have a 40 minute drive on the highway with no Internet for that. More later.1 -
We are starting study on the gospel of Matthew for a few months at church. The message was very inspiring. One couple was crying through the communion service so we checked on them and the girl said that she had been praying very hard to be able to find God. Someone from our church had invited her and she said it was exactly what she needed to hear in the sermon. God works in so many ways to love people and to get them to hear his word. One thing that stuck me from the sermon, and this is a rather odd thing since the sermon was really on the book of Matthew but our minister made a short comment that God can use everyone. "God can draw a straight line with a crooked stick." We can be the most crooked stick in the world and feel that we do not have worth to be used but God can work miracles in our lives with the mind and body we offer to him as we are.
Susan - praying as you travel to the appointment for Colin. Hopefully you can see the cardiologist soon. I am so glad you were able to spend time the Pastor Cam and his wife. It sounds like Lauren is having a lot of health issues and can use the support your friendship has been to her. Praying for the floods in Cairns that they will recede and people can get on with what they need to do.
Barb - Hoping that your snow storms will be slight and you can go take care of Mariposa on Wednesday. We are not leaving for Denver until Thursday since there are storms over the mountains on Wednesday. I am glad to be able to have a flexible schedule that we can change our dates depending on the weather. I am praying that you can use your expertise to help your friend Bue. I am so glad that she was able to return to her home for a few days so you can have contact with her.
Judith - Thanks for explaining the Handy Dart system for medical transport. I will try out some of the recipes in my new cookbook and if we like them, I will put them on the recipe thread. There are some that look really interesting.0 -
Barb, Praying for Bua as she comes home from hospital. I am sure you will be a great help to Bua and a witness too. Praying for Wisdom for you and for God’s Will be done. You said you were expecting 2 Snow Storms this week, trust they won’t be severe storms and not too much snow. Enjoy looking after Mariposa the 2 days during the week. I am sure you will have so much fun with your granddaughter, she is such a sweet little girl. You asked about the snow here, some places have very little and other areas have mega snow. Here we still have snow on house roofs and trees and on my ramp leading to my yard and some on ground under and on my trees. But not as much as we did, the freeways are mainly clear but with cold temps the roads are icy so one has to be careful. We have a forecast of 60% of snow tonight.
Susan, so much you had a great Sunday morning service & had visiting Pastors you have known for many years, such a blessing for you and for them especially for Lauren who is undergoing Cancer treatment, knowing how loving and kind you are Susan I am sure you were such a source of great Blessing and were able to Encourage and show much Love while you were with them. Happy you were with your granddaughters over lunch and had a great visit with them after Church. You mentioned it is now Monday and you were on your way to Colin’s Stress test, you said it’s a 40 minute drive and you didn’t have internet connection. Safe travels my friend. Prayers are with you.
Linda, your new study series in the Gospel of Matthew sounds so inspiring as you said. I had tears in my eyes reading the account of the couple crying through communion service and you and Glen checking on them, and finding out the girl who had been praying to find God. It’s exciting thinking about what a simple invite to Church can make a life transformation. Reminds me to be so sensitive to the leading of the Spirit of God and follow through. And not only that, God prepared every detail to even where you would sit and see them crying. You also were so mightily used of God as you went to the couple and that set in motion to her opening up to you. And the rest is so awesome the message touched her heart. Glory to God.
Hope you all had a Blessed Lord’s Day! Have a wonderful coming week! My prayers are with all. 🙏📖✝️

Susan praying as cardiologist. As it Sunday evening for us.
Prayers for flooding & the pastors too.
Judith. The new cookbook sounds good. Just let us know. I’ve been enjoying my air fryer it cooks fish which I’m eating more of so nicely
Linda
We are doing a study in Mark which we started last week. Next week we will study Jesus’s temptations. It’s nice to have them in the Bible to see Jesus was tempted like we are.
Enjoy your messages.
I texted Bua, she is home & went to a grocery store. It felt good to be out & doing something normal, she texted me. She did get tired but that can be expected. She uses the shopping cart to hold her up. Keep praying that her legs get stronger.
Time will tell about the snow. I plan on putting salt down when I get home.
Do our son James in Branson & grandson Eli, & daughter Elisabeth who lives in Wichita all have bronchitis. Some have had it for some time & are getting better. Crazy. Eli had some good sleep last night. Elisabeth can’t get her phlegm to come up. She is on Mucinex & a 6 day steroid.
Prayers for all.

Yesterday's stress test took 6 hours and Colin got through it all well. It involved a lot of waiting, rest time, waiting for drugs to take effect, waiting for them to wear off, etc. He felt really well yesterday, maybe because they made his heart work a little harder? He's back to feeling breathless today but it was nice to have him feel better for yesterday. The Cardiologist now has his stress test results so we are hoping to hear about an appointment date from him soon.
Barb, that's good news about Bua but not about your family members that have bronchitis. I hope they start feeling better soon. Bronchitis is not fun at all and is very exhausting.
Judith, it's good to hear the snow is not as heavy as it was where you are. Yes, the floods south of Cairns are devastating and the damage they have done is hard to calculate. Pastor Cam and Lauren were not affected in Cairns. The rain continues in the north though. The monsoonal trough has set in there and is still dumping a lot of rain.
Linda, what a blessing about the church service touching a young woman's life like that and getting to be there with her for it! I'm do glad for you all. Rejoice with us, too. We heard about 6 who have come forward for baptism! They are all young adults who have recently bern saved! Our baptismal service is going to be the first Sunday in March. We don't have a baptismal pool at our school hall where we meet so we will be borrowing a church member's private swimming pool. God is good and He is working among us all.
1 -
Susan - it is always good to see souls saved. God has a way of working in hearts that are searching. I am glad that Colin was feeling better yesterday so he could handle the stress test. Hopefully the cardiologist appointment will be soon.
Barb - I'm sorry that so many of your relatives have bronchitis. It sounds like Bua is doing pretty well if she was able to go grocery shopping. I remember needing to lean on the grocery cart to walk. If it got too heavy it stopped helping so I gave it back to Glenn to push. A study of the book of Mark sounds good. Each gospel has wonderful instruction and from different perspectives. It is all true but some differences depending on who the writer is writing to.
Judith - I am glad the roads are clear from snow. We are watching the weather to see when we can safely travel. They are expecting 12 inches of snow in the mountains on Tuesday evening. We are leaning toward going Thursday when they are expecting only snow showers and the roads should be clear.
We got together with friends this morning and had a great time talking and laughing. They are an inspiration to all of us. They have been through a lot over the years but still remain positive. She gives the best bear hugs.1 -
Barb so sorry to hear your family members are so sick with Bronchitis, my prayers are with them, hoping they all feel well soon. Also praying for your husband Harry as he travels to be with the Veterans while he looks after the medications for each of them. Trusting the roads will be clear of snow and ice, May he have safe travels. Hope the snow storms you are expecting are not severe.
Susan, I am Praising God that Colin did so well on the Stress Test and he felt so well yesterday. Hope you get the report back soon and get the appointment quickly to see the Cardiologist. My prayers continue. I am also praying for the floods south of Cairns. Good to hear that Pastor Cam and Lauren are not affected by these floods.
We didn’t get any new snow today but our temperatures have dropped to minus 8 degrees Celsius and the forecast says to expect minus 7 degrees Celsius tomorrow. A little concerning is we could get snow and the temps remain freezing 🥶 all week including Thursday when I have my biopsy.
Linda, I always enjoy studying the Book of
Matthew. Yes our main roads are clear of snow but are still icy from icy temps we are having. No snow today but they say it could come. Temps today were minus 8 degrees Celsius and tomorrow minus 7 degrees Celsius and forecast says same temps all week including Thursday the day of my Biopsy. I will be praying for you as you travel to Denver, hope your roads are clear. Safe travels my friend. So nice you got together with friends today that are such a blessing and a inspiration for you. I smiled when you said your friend gave the best Bear Hugs. She sounds like a sweet friend!
Have a great evening all and have a great day tomorrow. I continue to keep you all in my prayers. God Bless you. Stay Safe all . 🙏🤗0 -
Susan
Praying that you can hear from a cardiologist and see him asap. I remember taking a stress test. I didn't have to do it with meds as I walk so much so I could do it that way. Maybe in my future, as my mom with heart issues has to do it with meds. Praying.
Prayers for the pastors and the flooding there in Austraalia.
Judith praying for you so glad that you have kept the .2 oz on so far. Prayrers it continues. Thrusday day of biopsy is getting closer. Prayers.
Linda. So neat about 6 swho plan on being batpised in March. That is always so exciting. We had a baptism of 3 the day we joined the church offically so people could greet us. Many did too. It's a caring church.
Well no snow for the #1 storm, so that is good. I really doubt if I will make it to my son's house tomorrow due to the weather forecast. It's like over 12 hours of snow. It will be light snow, but 4-7" they are saying so roads until plowed will be bad. All in God's hands.
I plan on texting Bua every day just so she knows I care and are praying for her. Plus I'm here if she would need me. I think that means a lot to her.
I have Bible study today, so I will be leaving for that in a hour.
Stay warm safe all and Susan stay cool How is the humidity there in Australia?? Prayers for all.

Good morning. Still happily praising God for Colin's upcoming Cardiologist appointment on Tuesday! Barb, it's our church that has 6 baptisms coming up. Praising Him for that, too. The floods are finally receding in the north but there will be loads of clean up to do. Also, the two Pastors who were in hospital have both rallied and have been discharged under care! It's a great news day.
Barb, hope the snow doesn't get as bad as they say but if it does, I hope you stay safe and travel without problems. The humidity ranges here from about 65% to 90% this week.
Judith, your weather sounds challenging too and I knew your test was coming up soon. Praying it does only good for you. Yes, it was a blessing that Colin felt so well after his tests. He's well enough to take himself to Physio today and to meet his friends for coffee. Amazing!
Linda, your get together with friends sounded so nice. Good bear hugs are the best! Yes, the Lord is working over here to have called so many who responded to His gift of salvation and now ask for Baptism. We have a church of about 25 - 30 so 6 newly saved is wonderful! They are all young adults too, not retired like most of the rest of us. The Lord is good. He builds His church in His time.

Susan. Thank you for correcting me. That is neat about 6 baptisms!
So glad you got a cardiologist appointment so early so we are praying & waiting for the news. Prayers for wisdom for the dr too.
Judith. 2 more days till you see Dr. prayers your weather will not be bad so you can get there easily & safely.
Linda Prayers as you will be traveling to Denver I believe you said that would be Thursday. Stay safe.
So they have put our totals of snow down an inch. As the meteorologists are seeing the storm ending sooner than they thought last night. So that’s an answer to,prayer of its’s right.
My prayer partner, Jane husband Dee, 91 died today. So no more suffering. I’ll put it on prayer chain.
Bua is staying busy with making meals so, she seems to be doing ok.
I dropped off a nursery rhyme book that Mariposa enjoys. She will, sing Twinkle Twinkle like she’s reading the book it
S so cute. Plus some sea shells to help entertain her if I don’t make it tomorrow with the snow. HH knows she’ll be ok prayers Annabella gores to sleep quick as that could helpful.
All God’s hands.0 -
Susan, I am Praising God that you have an appointment with the Cardiologist on Tuesday, this is Good News. And that Colin was feeling so good that he went to Physio on his own and went for coffee with his friends after. Praise the Lord!
Linda, praying for your safety on the roads as you travel to Denver, trusting roads are clear and the mountain passes are clear. Stay safe my friend.
Barb, I read your prayer request on our Prayer Thread. I am so sorry to hear Jane your Prayer Partner’s Husband Dee passed into the presence of the Lord this morning. My Condolences and Prayers to Jane and all her family. Praying your weather will clear and you won’t get the Storms the forecast said would come. Keeping Harry in prayer for his safety where is is that the snow won’t hamper his work with the Veterans he is caring for with preparing their meds. Sorry the help he was to have were not able to come.
It is so cold 🥶 here freezing cold, minus 10 degrees Celsius! I had to turn my Space Heater on to warm my place.
I had a nice Surprise at 6:00pm Pacific Tome, my Daughter dropped by and we had a nice visit. Darren her hubby was teaching at the University and both Grandkids were working so Lynn and I had a lovely visit. Thanks all for your prayers.
Lord willing will be back tomorrow afternoon!
God Bless… 🙏🤗1 -
Happy Birthday Marilyn! 🎈🎉You probably will not be reading this until tomorrow so I am sorry I did not get on here earlier so you would read it on your actual birthday.
We had our usual day with two bible study groups. Each one is so different. The first one is zoom and everyone is in their 70's except for the leader. We are honest as to where we are on our Christian journey and pray for each one specifically to grow more like Jesus. The second one has a mixture of ages from early 20s to mid 70's. Since it is a larger group, we do a lot of discussions of the scripture and not as much sharing. Both groups help me grow in different ways. We had snow predicted for this evening but so far we do not see any moisture. It was really cloudy most of the day but for about 15 minutes we saw the sun come out.
Judith - I am praying that the weather will be good for travel for your biopsy. You have waited a long time to get this done. I hope that it will give the doctors some answers to how to help you heal.
Susan - what wonderful news that the two pastors have been released from the hospital. That is certainly an answer to our prayers. Praising God that Colin was able to get an appointment with the cardiologist. I am sure he will have a better direction and medications that will help Colin's heart.
Barb - I am glad that they have put your snow totals to one inch. That would be much easier to manage although there are several more storms on the way as I understand it. Keep safe and warm! I am sorry that your prayer partner,Dee's husband passed away but as you said no more pain is wonderful. I had a friend I went to college with pass away this morning also. She was about 2 years older than myself. This is the second fellow student who has passed away in the last two weeks for me. The first one was a fellow student from high school and I have not seen him since we graduated. Life is fragile and none of us knows how many years or days we have left. It is a good reminder to always be ready and waiting to go be with the Lord. I am sure that Maraposa will enjoy the book and sea shells if you do not get to be with her tomorrow.1 -
We had a rain shower this morning which cooled things down a little. It is still muggy and the sun will make it steamy soon.
Linda and Barb, sorry for your losses. I lost an Aunt this week too. Life certainly has a beginning, a middle and an end.
Judith, praying about your biopsy and the cold.
Marilyn, happy birthday! 🎂 🥳 🎉

Linda, thank you for sharing about your 2 Bible Studies, sounds like both groups minister to each other and to you. My condolences for your fellow college student and recently the fellow High School Student. I agree, life is fragile and we never know when we will be ushered from this world to our eternal home, indeed it is so important that we are ready. Thank you for your kindness and prayers regarding my Biopsy and for weather to be favorable!
Barb, continued prayers for you and Harry and all your family. Trusting your weather will improve. Hope Mariposa enjoys her Book even if can’t get to be with her tomorrow. Praying for safety when out on the roads. Continued prayers for Jane and her family. Good to know Jane can be at Peace knowing her dear “Husband” is with the Lord and free from pain!
Susan, I am sorry for the recent loss of your dear Aunt, my Condolences and Prayers for you and Colin and the Families. ♥️🙏 I continue to keep Colin and you as you prepare for the Cardiologist appointment that is scheduled on Tuesday.
We are in a deep freeze here, minus temps past days and today with minus 9 and minus 10 degrees Celsius so cold 🥶 at least in my area no new snow. Hope it stays snow free for tomorrows travels into Vancouver for my Biopsy. Appreciate your prayers and your valued friendship!
Love you all. Not sure when I will be back as my Biopsy is late in day and not sure how I will be feeling. I may need to rest. God Bless ♥️🙏0 -
Wow so many deaths with each of us in one week.
We never know but God has each of our days numbered to His will.
Judith prayers as it’s biopsy day. Praying the drs can help you & wisdom for the, as they look into your biopsy results.
Plus in helping you.
Susan. So glad that Colin got a cardiologist on Tuesday. Probably our Monday.
So glad that the pastors have been released by hospital. God is good.
Linda. Be careful going to,Denver. Is that tomorrow Thursday? If not God knows.
I hope Marilyn had a nice bday. Sorry late with my greeting.
So Bua told me that her legs are getting stronger. PTL.
I did not help with Mariposa so I hope HH did ok. It took a long time, to get our street plowed & even now there is snow on the street packed snow. Usually the roads are cleared so I’m not sure why there is snow on them.
We have a winter mix is coming Saturday. Then more snow next week maybe?
I’ll be glad to see spring.
Hope all stay well.

We had a wonderful opportunity today to minister to a member of Glenn's extended family who is going through some hard times. He is usually very quiet and just goes about his business but as we came to my SIL's house, this family member was coming out of the house. Glenn spoke to him and asked how he was and all the frustration and guilt and sadness just poured out of his heart. He spoke to Glenn for probably 30 minutes out in the freezing cold about how he was feeling and that he is searching for God to see how he can help in the situation. Glenn said it was more in this one conversation spoken than he has ever heard from this man as long as Glenn has known him. I am hoping that some of the things that Glenn shared with him will comfort him and he will continue to look for how God can help him. I know that it was not a coincidence that we arrived at the house at the same moment he came out to go to work. God is working in this situation!
Judith - it is already Thursday here as I write this so I am praying for your appointment today for the biopsy. I pray that the weather will cooperate and your travel will be safe and on time. You said that you were having cold weather. It was also very cold here in Grand Junction. With a wind, it seemed even colder than what the thermometer was saying. I was glad for a good heater in the truck and that I did not have to stand outside long. Glenn had a stocking cap on which keep his ears warm but had not worn his gloves. He was shaking from the cold as he walked into our SIL's house but was able to warm up after a few minutes.
Susan - I am sorry about the passing of your aunt. At work in the nursing home the old saying was that deaths happen in three's. In our case, your aunt, Barb's friend's husband and my school mate make three. I am not at all superstitious but if the old saying is true, hopefully we are done with it for a while. Although as we age, we will be loosing family and friends as time goes by. Knowing where they will be if they know the Lord does soften the grief some but we all have holes in our hearts from these losses. You said that the humidity made the heat a little less for you today. I am glad for a little reprieve but as you said, the sun coming out can make it "steamy".
Barb - I am sorry that you were not able to go see Mariposa today and give HH a little time to rest. I hope she did not have a difficult day with the two girls. We are leaving today around noon after Glenn finishes up with a meeting so we are hoping to miss the snow storm that will start in the mountains about 7pm tonight. The snow that fell tonight should be plowed so the roads should be OK. I am praying that the snow storm that is coming to your area will not be a big as the one you had earlier.1 -
Good morning from Kansas. It is 3*F here very cold. It's a Arctic cold that we have. I kind of wish Canada would keep that cold. Yet with Judith's temp report maybe it's just from Arctica?
Maybe it will kill our bugs? Praying so.
Prayers for Judith as she has her biopsy today and the Drs will have some answers in knoiwing how to treat Judith. Prayers for safety and warmth as you travel too
LInda Be careful traveling I hope before the snow and stay warm. This cold is bitter!!! Prayers also for the member of Glenn's extended family. May his eyes be open.
Susan prayers for your day in all that you have planned which is half over for you already.
I plan on making some corn muffins and walking over to give them to Bua today. Using the oven will help warm up the kitchen some. Oh Bua told me that she can feel her legs getting stronger so PTL on that!! I told her God is goodand she gave it a heart! (All on a text).
Stay safe and warm all. Spring for us and Fall for Susan. Willt he leaves change colors for you Susan like they do for us?
Have a great day all. Prayers.1 -
Good morning. It's Friday here and we are going to the GP for some test results today. I need to leave soon if we are going to be on time but wanted to see how you all are first.
Barb it's still summer here till March 1st. We don't have a lot of deciduous trees here. Gum trees and other natives keep their leaves all year as do pines. I was glad to hear how Bua is doing. I hope HH could cope yesterday too. Take care in three cold.
Linda, how wonderful to br in three right place at the right time! God is good. Yes, we are bound to farewell more family and friends at this stage of our lives. My Aunt was saved, I believe. That is a comfort.
Judith, this is your big day medically speaking. I hope it all goes smoothly and you are alright at the end of it. You're in my thoughts and prayers more than usual today.
Yesterday was emotional but lovely. I received a package from my cousin in LA. It contained a beautiful almost 2' high clock that has been in Dad's family since the late 1800s. My cousin also sent ancestral photos and letters. I had a big break while I started examining and reading everything. We got the clock put back together, (it's a pendulum clock) wound it and it's ticking away faithfully. I absolutely love it. Here it is next to a picture of my Dad. I emailed my cousin several times too. He is the best.
Barb, the clock may have come from Kansas as that us where my grandmother was born and I think it has been passed down through her family. I think it is a Gilbert Parlour clock?

Susan
Where in Kansas did your grandmother live? I live in suburb of Kansas City. KC MO the plaza is close by as is KC KS.
I looked up the Gilbert Laurel & found the following. So neat that you got it.
Enjoy it!
They look the same or very close.
Judith. Been thinking & praying for you ll day. Let us know in your time. Prayers this biopsy can show the Doctors how to treat you. 🙏🏻
Another Susan I know that fall and spearing for us is still weeks away. It’s going to get real, cold for a week. So we may be above freezing on Friday, then we will have the cold snow, rain, & wintery mix is in our forecast.
Even a flash freeze, Saturday night. As temps on Saturday will drop. Then our lows will be in our minus temps F and highs only in the teens. F.
It’s a long stretch 5 days or more. Oh well. Hopefully bugs be killed.
With the sun even though in low 20’s as high as our street is NOT snow packed but clear & dry. So, the sunshine worked.
It was good to see Bua and she is walking faster than she did when I saw her in rehab. She walks a lot doing various things, clothes away putting other things away, making meals etc.
Linda I hope you made it to Denver with no problem. Prayers.1 -
I am sorry I was absent yesterday. We got started later than we intended due to Glenn's zoom meeting going longer than he wanted. The roads were either dry and wet but no ice or snow. I have not heard the result of the snow storm they were expecting on the mountains after we got through there. When we got to our house, there was a crisis going on with my daughter and our grandkids were here so she went upstairs to pray on journal and we were left to finish getting dinner. It worked out alright, everyone got fed and then our other daughter came to pick up the grandchildren and stayed for two hours to talk. By the time I had time to get on here, I was too tired to remember what to write. I did get on long enough to keep my streak but that is about all. This morning I have been up and been to the doctor's office to get my lab work drawn and my daughter is feeling better emotionally. She still has to deal with some things but is thinking clearer this morning. She is a counselor herself so she knew what the right thing to do was but since the situation was so close to her heart, she just needed to talk and to be verified that she was OK in her thoughts.
Barb - It is 41F (5C) here today and they are saying snow showers this evening but not more than 1 inch accumulation. I'm sorry that you are getting the Artic weather. It is supposed to get colder here the first of the week. I am glad the Bua is able to get up and get around. Will she still plan to go stay with someone once they get over their sickness? It sounds like she is getting along by herself now.
Susan - that is a beautiful clock you received from your cousin. I am sure you will treasure it for many years and pass it down to your children. Items that were made in the 1800's and early 1900's last so much longer than the ones that are made now. The ones who made the old ones were craftsmen who cared about their work and spent hours making just a single clock unlike the factory lines that make hundreds with the use of machinery now. We are wondering how Colins appointments went with the GP to look at his tests.
Judith - I hope you are resting well after your biopsy and are not in too much pain. Let us know when you are feeling up to getting on here.1
