    Good morning! I am sick!!🤧 I felt great yesterday morning and had a really good workout. Then, when I was working on my puzzle, I felt a little pain in my throat. Less than an hour later, I was in a full-blown cold. Ugh! I haven’t been sick in so long, and now I have to stress that I will give it to Joe. I’m going back to bed. 😴

    Hi 👋

    Baseball practice was canceled yesterday. We were supposed to get a big storm. Our surrounding areas got hit, but we only got heavy rain and a little thunder. I managed to get a walk, Chipper explored a little bit, he really it. I think he is starting to lose a little weight too. After walking, I just stayed busy.

    The sun is out now, so I need to get outside while I can.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @trooworld That salad looks delicious I’m going to save that one. I made your Chili Colorado recipe tonight for dinner, that IS restaurant worthy I agree!

    @TeresaW2024 Oh no I hope you’re feeling better soon! Get some good rest in.

    @DrewsAnna That’s great news Chipper is losing a little weight as well. Are you one of the pet owner/pets that look alike? Hope you got to enjoy the sun.

    HI friends! We transplanted a lot of eggplants to bigger pots, I have a Pesto Perpetuo basil at the greenhouse and I started a dozen more plants out of it too (if they all make it). https://www.burpee.com/basil-pesto-perpetuo-prod000457.html Got some good cleaning in at home plus a workout and did some HOA stuff. I made the Chili Colorado recipe @trooworld posted awhile back and it was delicious, I did the meat and my roommate did Spanish rice. It’s raining off and on for a few days. Still logging everything as well. Have a great Friday!

    @TeresaW2024 Oh no! I'm sorry you are sick. I hope you feel better soon. Hugs.

    @Katmary71 I think you'd really like the salad. I'm glad you liked the Chili Colorado! The Pesto Perpetuo looks interesting, it's beautiful looking. It sounds like you had a full day lol. How are you feeling? Happy Friday!

    @Cornanda Congrats on the loss! I also got into crackers (Wheat Thins). I bought them for the dill pickle hummus I was going to make but I didn't make it yet.

    Hi all. More stress yesterday: my MIL was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. She's got a compromised immune system, so it's particularly worrying. I'm glad I work from home today so that I can be gentle with myself. I lost 0.6 lbs this week. I had a big loss last week so I'm not too upset I lost less than a lb.

    Tracked yesterday? No!

    Hi 👋

    The sun didn't stay out for long yesterday. So, we wound up, going to Costco instead. All this new found activity has had my knee really hurting, so after Costco I took it easy for the rest of the day.

    Today, is back to cold, windy and rain.

    I need to go to the grocery store and drop some returns off at UPS, other than that, I don't know. I'll figure it out.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @TeresaW2024 - how are you feeling? A cold that hits you that fast cannot be fun.

    @trooworld - First the bathroom, now your MIL. How is she doing? You are absolutely right that a small loss after such a big on last week is just fine.

    @bethany0825- congrats on 45 pounds, that's amazing!

    @DrewsAnna hope your day was good

    @19shmoo69 - 😂

    Yesterday was my work team building day- and it was very relaxing. Nice to meet more people in the department and feel like a part of a bigger whole.

    My scale was down another 0.7 pounds today, so I will do my best to keep that for next week and maybe add some more. It would be great if I could get to 10 pounds lost on the Mayo diet, but I think that's a big stretch.

    The weekend will be getting a few things done around the house and enjoying the lovely spring weather we are having— before it gets beastly hot here in FL. DD has been using a dating app and she found a good one, so now she is barely home. DH and I are getting used to it.

    It's my turn to read Onyx Storm from the library. Is anyone else reading this series?

    @trooworld Ohhh no, your poor MIL! I hope she will recover quickly and there won’t be any complications. You are doing so well with your weight loss!  🙂

    @19shmoo69 HaHa!!!!  🤣🤣

    @Cornanda I haven’t been sick in such a long time so I feel I shouldn’t complain but that just isn’t the kind of girl I am. 😆There is lots of whining and coughing going on right now. Congrats on your scale going down. You are doing great! So, did your DD find a good dating app or a good date on the app?  😁

    Good morning! My cold is now in my chest, and I’m living on cough medicine. Yesterday, I managed a 10-minute rebounder workout, but it fizzled out quickly. I did manage to clean my bathroom, which included gutting my linen closet and reorganizing all my hair products. I have vowed not to buy any more products until I run out of stuff. Today, I will take it easy and mostly rest. 🙂

    @bethanie0825 Congrats on the loss!

    @Cornanda Exactly! She had a migraine and that is a little better (level 5 pain out of 10), but she's still coughing with pneumonia and not feeling well, and is still in the hospital. Thank you for asking. That's good you had a team building event. Did you guys do something fun? Congrats on losing more, awesome! I hope you enjoy the weather. That's exciting for DD. Dating nowadays is a nightmare, I hear: I've been out of the dating game for over 20 years but I hear horror stories from the one single friend I have. I started to read the first book in that series but I couldn't get into it and gave up. I tried the audiobook, too, because I thought since everyone else loved it, I should give it a fair try. But it just wasn't for me. I hope you enjoy it.

    @TeresaW2024 I hope so, too, thanks. I'm so concerned about her. Thank you! Ugh coughing is the worst. Be gentle with yourself and take the time for your body to heal. Hugs.

    Hi all. Well, on top of the stress of my MIL being in the hospital, yesterday we noticed that the pipes that they "fixed" were leaking again. So, the plumber was sent out again and they have hopefully fixed it now. Today, I have to drive 57 miles away to drop off my wedding ring set to get restored: the main stone is a ruby and there is a scratch on the table (the top part). There are also microabrasions all around it. Also, there are tiny diamonds all around the ruby and on the band and one of them is missing, so that needs replaced. Also, the white gold needs replating. We are meeting the jeweler in their town, which is a mountain town with lots of good pie. I may have a sugar-free piece. I need to get back to tracking. And can I say how much I hate the update to MFP? Now, when I try to paste from Notepad, there are gray boxes around each sentence and they are separated out. So, I have to use Google Docs and then there are big spaces between paragraphs. Okay, rant over!

    Tracked yesterday? No!

    @19shmoo69 LOL very cute.

    @Cornanda I’m so glad you’re liking your team it’s great they’re taking the time for everyone to get to know one another. Way to go on the scale going down! I haven’t read Onyx Storm I need to go back and read that series. I’m currently reading Sarah J Maas Cresent City, have you read those?

    @TeresaW2024 You aren’t a big complainer at all vent all you want about being sick! Hope the resting isn’t too frustrating and you’re feeling better soon.

    @trooworld Your poor MIL I missed that, I hope she’s out soon and feeling better. Also hope that plumber fixes the leak grrr! I hope all goes well with the jeweler. A nice piece of pie would be awesome! LOL this update is such a PITA, unfortunately I love everyone in this group so much it’s worth dealing with how hard they’ve made it to keep up here. I haven’t figured out why it puts 10 spaces in between each comment I reply to when I copy and paste from one program so I’m trying to stick with Word. For doing the weigh in part it’s taking twice as long as it used to so I think tomorrow I’ll try it a different way. Big hugs, I appreciate you!

    @bethanie0825 Congratulations on 45lbs down you’re crushing it!

    @jessicakrall8 Sounds like a fun one thank you!

    Hi friends! I had my parents over yesterday and my Dad helped me with my drip system at the community garden. I made a big pasta/shrimp/veggie dish with pesto that’s my Dad’s favorite. I managed to run into a weight with my foot and I’m not sure if my toe is broken or just sprained, I’ve been trying to stay off of it though it’s easier to walk in shoes. I went out for ice cream with a friend to celebrate her beating cancer and went to a Mediterranean market that has authentic Armenian cheese, we haven’t been able to find any around here so it’s a fun score (got one for me, my brother, and folks). Also made it to the community garden to change some things with my drip system. Last two days haven’t been great with diet but back to it tomorrow. Have a great Sunday!

    @TeresaW2024 - complaining when you are sick is OK! DD found a good one in the app, I think. It's like pulling teeth to get her to talk about it, so I try not to ask too many questions. Lots of rest and liquids will be good for you today.

    @trooworld - Keep us updated on your MIL. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in today! From what I heard about the dating process (see note above…lol) it sounds like job interviews. You "talk" on the app until you are ready to meet for the "interview". (this is my language, not hers) One guy wound up reminding her of her brother in person. The next one was a nice date, then he ghosted her. I have no idea how many she has "talked" to. It sounds exhausting to me. Work- Yes, we played games, had a little bit of education and completed our volunteer work for the quarter- our organization encourages volunteering. It's really nice to be able to do it in this setting as previously it would be done on weekends. We wrote letters to elderly folks through the "Love your elders" program. I think this book series is either love it or hate it- I get that. I had my wedding ring setting redone a couple years ago- it was weird to be without it. Pie! Yum! And after all this chatting, I forgot the plumber. I sure hope that's fixed now.

    @Katmary71 - No, I have not heard of that series, but I just put it on my Libbi "want to read" list. Thanks! You could try "buddy taping" your sore toe to the one next to it. That may help with the pain. Generally they don't do anything for broken toes unless they are sticking out in a weird direction. I hope it feels better quick. Your food sounds yummy! Getting back to it today is a great plan. Glad you got your drip system fixed- very important.

    Happy Sunday!

    @gemwolf110 Congrats on the loss! How's school going? Are you back in yet?

    @Katmary71 Thank you, me too! Hopefully, the leak is fixed. I've had enough lol. Thank you, it did go well. No pie, no time! I hope you can figure out a different way so the weigh-in part isn't a pain. Big hugs to YOU and I soooooo appreciate you as well! <3 That's good that your dad helped you with the community garden. And that dish sounds amazing. Oh no, I hope your foot isn't broken! What does Armenian cheese taste like? Have a great Sunday!

    @Cornanda She is still in the hospital and they don't know when she will be released. I hope she feels better today, hopefully, I'll get to go see her but I've got a busy day. lol job interviews...that would be awful! It does sound exhausting. That's good your organization encourages volunteering, so does mine: we can get paid up to 8 hours per year for volunteering. I volunteered recently at a dog rescue, I think I posted about it. It was really fun. I love that you wrote letters to the elderly. I bet they will love receiving those! I think you are right about the book series. It is really weird to be without my rings. I'm also having the band soldered to the engagement ring because they roll around and it looks funny when they do that because the wedding band dips down to accommodate the ruby. Thanks, I think it is fixed now. Happy Sunday!

    Hi all. We went up to the mountain town and met the jewelers in a cafe. We spent 2 hours sitting there talking to them about not only my rings, but other things. It was a nice visit. By the time we were done, there was no time for pie...if we could have just gone to one of the pie shops and immediately gotten a piece, that would have been one thing, but there are long lines because the pie is so well-known. So, we just came home. I worked on an art piece for a show that I have to turn in a couple of weeks from now. Today, I have to go grocery shopping and take one of my pieces of artwork to the coffee shop where it will be on display and for sale for the month of April. I woke up at 3:30 am today and couldn't get back to sleep so, @TeresaW2024 I beat you today! :)

    Tracked yesterday? No!

    @Katmary71, your poor toe! I once broke a toe on my coffee table, and when it was almost healed, I slammed the same toe into the wheel of a shopping cart. Not a happy time in my life! 😬 I hope your toe heals quickly and stays out of harm's way. What makes Armenian cheese so good? I love all cheese!!!

    @Cornanda Why don’t our kids understand that we need all the details of their lives? I hope your DD’s new guy remains a good one. 🙂

    @trooworld I woke up at 3:30 am but forced myself to go back to sleep. It's a bummer that you didn’t get your piece of pie! Will you have to go back and pick up your ring? Maybe you can get the pie then.  😋

    Good morning! I woke up less congested, so this cold will be gone soon. We are staying home from church today and will watch it on YouTube. It’s supposed to rain later, and I hope it does because the pollen is horrible right now. Yesterday was the highest pollen count in history, and I felt it in my eyeballs every time I opened the door to let Maggie out. Everything is coated in yellow! My weight is up due to not exercising and eating more than I should. I have to buckle down, or I will have a gain this week, and I don’t want that! Have a good day! 😊
