    Hi 👋

    I knew I would have a gain, but I really expected it to be a lot more. I'm thankful for this weigh in, I tried not to go to crazy.

    Next week, I'm finally having my appt at the weightloss management clinic. I have been waiting for this appt since November and I feel like the Wegovy will help more being monitored instead of being left on my own. Your supposed to increase the dose about every weeks and I haven't. I'm happy this is finally happening.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @DrewsAnna Glad your weigh in wasn’t too shocking. I hope your appointment goes well with the clinic and they’re able to help you more. Your camping trip looks so fun, loved the flowers too! Great job taking fruits and veggies on your trip.

    @bobboyardee I look forward to reading your intro!

    @trooworld Love seeing your photos! I’m glad you’re likely going to jump in on the challenge. Love you having your leather jacket fitting again!

    @TeresaW2024 I hope the reset helps all of us! I really hope Joe is feeling better soon, sending up prayers for you two! Way to go on not bringing home cake and donating that shirt!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Your Mom looks very happy enjoying that drink and does look great, Happy Birthday to her!

    @FushiaKat I’m glad your flare has improved especially with your cable out. I hope they get it straightened out soon.

    Hi team! Spent the morning at the farm then in the yard at home. I had a refill appointment too. My case manager called and she’s calling back tomorrow to get all my information so hoping that goes well. My Dad and I fixed my beds at the community garden then BBQed last night. My roommate came home from work last night and came in the house excited saying something about my cats seeing what happened too, turned out a coyote attacked the goslings of the newest geese family (have a small man-made lake in the middle of this neighborhood) and killed all three of the babies right in front of my driveway, she chased it away and came in to get me. I buried them in the yard crying, it was horrible seeing them especially with the parents crying down the street. It’s been eerily quiet today not sure if the geese are even here today but there’s usually a bunch. Tomorrow’s the greenhouse, we’re putting basil seedlings in bigger trays and moving the herbs to the farm. Have a good Thursday!

    @vegan4lyfe- I forgot to say how cute your Mom looks. What a perfect bday pic!

    @Katmary71 - That is so sad about the geese. Hugs to you…..

    @trooworld - great that your jacket fits! Work- I need a rest- manager is on vacation and I'm stuck keeping the show going- she's on a two week vacation. Next week, I got pushed into going to a conference, and I may be in the minority, but I do not find conferences fun. My eating is going great, but there will be a few challenges to navigate coming up. I'm planning to take some time off around Memorial week which will be good for me.

    @TeresaW2024 haha yes! Thank you, me too! Sounds like you spent good quality time with the girls (and Eli!). I'm sorry to hear Joe wasn't feeling well. I am hoping he is feeling better by the time you read this. Big hugs. Oh, great NSVs!

    @Katmary71 Thank you! I watched the entire video yesterday and I'm in. It sounds right up Mission Slimpossibles' alley! Your case manager...from the physical therapist? From the pain clinic? Where from? Good to spend quality time with your dad. That is horrible, what happened to the goslings. I'm so sorry. We get coyotes around here and people stupidly let their cats roam the neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. A few years ago, my neighbor's cat disappeared and I think I know what happened to him, the poor cat. Good luck at the greenhouse today.

    @Cornanda Yeah but I had to get a different one because I ripped it lol. But the new one is the same size as the old and fits well. Ugh, that sounds stressful, keeping the show going. I like going to conferences but I understand why you wouldn't. Good job with your eating! Memorial Week sounds like a good time for a planned break.

    Hi all. I had another busy day at work yesterday. At least the day went by quickly and now, it's almost the weekend. I'm in an art show this weekend: the theme was Good News. You had to choose a non-political news article and base a painting on it. I chose an article about the discovery of some new species of octopuses and I used my recent painting of an octopus for the show. It should be fun to attend the opening, which is Sunday. Last night, I got home late due to traffic and my husband (who had been home since noon) was cooking his dinner. He was going to be another 30 minutes and was cooking fish in the air fryer, which is what I needed to cook my meatballs. I was frustrated and didn't want to eat at 6:30 and then go to bed at 7 so I just made a protein shake with frozen fruit and called it dinner. It's getting to be a problem: we have a small kitchen and it's hard to cook at the same time and then he also wants to use the air fryer so I always end up having to wait to cook. By the time he's done, I don't feel like cooking anymore. I'm either going to have to drink shakes or cook on the weekends, I think (which I don't usually have time to do). I did much better on water yesterday, I drank 3 times what I have been drinking.

    Tracked yesterday? Yes!

    I hope it's alright to submit my weigh in a day early. My hubs and I are flying up north to help his folks pack and start the process of moving down to NC. Our flight out is at zero-dark thirty and I'll forget to weigh.

    @Cornanda Thank you! What are you planning to do on your time off? It will be well-deserved after two weeks of keeping things moving at work.

    @trooworld Great I’m glad you’re doing the challenge too! Case Manager I called my insurance and asked for one after the podiatrist recommended it. I’d had one before that I think was more of a social worker, the woman I talked to today is a nurse with my insurance and she interviewed me then another nurse will take over. I’m cautiously optimistic. Ugh I hate that people think the coyotes can’t get their cats, I kind of thought that about the feral cats then came across one I’d just had fixed that had been killed. We actually had a neighbor’s dog taken off it’s porch with that coyote (was being fed by homeless so it still killed but left them behind), really traumatic for the owners and I dogsat him so I was pretty upset too. The art show sounds amazing and that was a great painting, I can’t wait to hear about it! I have a small kitchen too I get annoyed any time someone crowds me in it. I don’t know the answer in your situation are you two eating different things now? You have pretty active weekends so it would be tough to cook for the week on them. I hope you two figure something out.

    @bethanie0825 Have a safe trip, I hope the move goes well! Ugh you don’t want to weigh after flying either. You’re having an awesome month keep doing great!

    HI team! Had a great day, the greenhouse went well, we took two rounds of two cars to get stuff to the farm. I went to Costco after that (never going at lunch again) as I wanted to get a bunch of eggs and supplies to make a few batches of egg bites/muffins for the garden club meeting Saturday. I think I’m doing ham, asparagus, and tomatoes probably with some basil. My interview with the nurse case manager went well and took over an hour, I think it will be helpful but also don’t want to get my hopes up. Right before she called I checked the patient portal and my appointment with my primary wasn’t noted on their end and I should be meeting to discuss the rheumatology appointment. They’re so booked they have no openings until June’s calendar opens so I can’t even get an appointment now so the advocate has her work cut out for her. Going to go get in the tub and get some rest, planning on the farm for a couple hours. Have a great Friday!

    Quick pop in

    Next month's link is up so early. What the heck?

    @trooworld- the art show- what fun! I hope you can work out something with your husband. It seems like the solution is him starting to cook his dinner earlier or coordinating who's night it is to use the air fryer

    @teresaw2024- How's Joe?

    @bethanie0825 - you are doing great on weight loss- congrats! Good luck with packing

    @Katmary71 - I will have to be sure not to try to tackle lots of home projects during my time off. I like to do that, but the purpose of being off is also to rest and just be. Balance is key. I really hope that this case manager thing works out and is helpful to you.

    Have a great FriYay!

    @bethanie0825 Congrats on the loss!

    @Katmary71 Ah I see. I hope the case manager can help make things easier for you. I know, I hate that, too...they think, "Oh, it won't happen to MY cats" but they are wrong! It totally could. OH gosh, yes, that would be traumatic. Thank you! It should be a fun show. I'll figure out the cooking situation. I have some ideas. We COULD be eating the same things as he is eating very healthily but he does not want to. So, it just makes things very difficult on me. He gets to cook first because he doesn't eat all day so then I end up cooking at like 5:30/6 pm and don't get done for an hour. I go to bed at like 7-7:30, so I am basically eating and then going straight to bed, which I don't like. I'm glad the greenhouse went well. Bummer about the rheumatology appt. I hope you can get squeezed in.

    @Cornanda Early? It's the May link and it's May 2nd. I'm a bit confused. Working things out...gah, yeah, me too lol. I think I have an idea (see below). He is usually home at the same time as me so he can't cook any earlier. I think coordinating the air fryer (or getting one of those double basket ones) is the way to go! Congrats on the loss, you've been doing great!

    Hi all. I think what I will do about the cooking is I will get things like these Kevin's Natural Foods refrigerated entrees. I had two different flavors this week (Thai-Style Coconut Chicken and Korean-Style BBQ Chicken) and they were good and the chicken looked like actual chicken, not ultra-processed like some of these entrees can look. I can throw some veggies in the oven, or steam them, or air fry them, and call it dinner. On the weekends, I can make actual recipes. At work, one of the IT guys replaced my laptop on Tuesday. He neglected to install all the programs I need, nor the printers, and so has been working on my laptop all week. It's still not 100% fixed. I've been so non-productive this week. I am looking forward to the weekend, the week was frustrating! I lost 2.6 lbs, I am so close to Onederland!

    Tracked yesterday? Yes!

    Hi 👋

    I have managed to keep myself very busy last couple of days with projects that have needed to be done, but I am the greatest of procrastinators.

    It's quite a bit cooler today than it was yesterday, but I would to get outside for a little bit before it starts raining again.

    I'm slowly but surely getting back on track and while I haven't "exercised", I have been real busy and doing some dancing while I'm cleaning. So, I call that a win 😀
