CW: 137.0Ugh I was sick all night with a terrible tummy ache. Feeling better right now. I just got up from a 2 hour nap, I needed it since I was awake most of the night. The weather has been crazy here, over a hundred and now back to the sixties. I found out how to get the thermostat off the wall and change the batteries, it was so easy just pull on it. I should add that to my calendar and change the batteries more often, I think it's been a few years. Our friend got discharged from the hospital, now they are staying in a family apartment close to the hospital. I'm happy for him. I have not sprayed the weeds, yet it was raining and then it was too hot. I went for a bike ride instead. Thursday, I have an appointment with my primary care doctor.

What’s one healthy habit you've added that’s made the biggest difference in your journey so far? Logging my food. It's the best tool in the tool kit. It doesn't have to be on MFP; it doesn't even need to be electronic. Pen and paper do the job just fine. Logging holidays and binges and birthdays and mistakes. Keeping track of my calories on a weekly basis so I can save up calories for splurges later in the week. Logging is honesty. Logging is another way of looking in the mirror.

@TeresaW2024 Congrats on the loss! HAHAHA well maybe today you'll track! It sounds like even though you are math-challenged, you got this.
@Cornanda Interesting about the candy bars. I'm glad there were some healthy options. I hope the lunch went well. Happy Nurse's Week! I pay for premium MFP so I'll complain lol.
@DrewsAnna I'm sorry you are feeling like that, that must be miserable. I hope they call you today.
@lislisa123 Hugs to you.
@Katmary71 Ah I see. I'm glad tea helps with your cravings. That dinner was good! I'm sorry you are feeling like that.
@vegan4lyfe2012 I'm glad you took time for yourself. I actually had to do 6 months (1 per month) of dietitian visits before insurance would approve me. I did not have to lose any weight, just not gain a bunch. Good luck with the oil-free journey! I loved Tucker & Dale vs Evil so maybe I'll check out Fight of Flight.
@FushiaKat That IS hot, and early to be so hot. I hope the doctor appt goes well.
DISCUSSION QUESTION: What’s one healthy habit you've added that’s made the biggest difference in your journey so far?
I'd say tracking. It's my roadmap!Hi all. I wasn't too tired yesterday, I was too busy to be tired lol. I made Indian butter chicken with a jarred sauce from Sam's Club that actually isn't too high in calories. I added frozen veggies and served it over quinoa. It was pretty good and easy to make. I'm supposed to make Skinnytaste Pineapple Chicken tonight but I don't know that I will have the energy.
Tracked yesterday? Yes!

@Katmary71 I want to hear about the Amino Acid and craving class! I hope you hear some helpful stuff.
@vegan4lyfe2012 I spend way too much time making my spreadsheets aesthetically pleasing. Do you make your pretty too? 😀I’m glad you had a good visit with your therapist and enjoyed the movie.
@trooworld I love butter chicken! I hope you aren’t too worn out after your long day and will be able to enjoy your pineapple chicken. 🙂
Good morning! I got woken up at 5:45 to thunder and Maggie losing her mind. So, I’m now on my second cup of coffee and getting work done. My pastor has decided I need to create a prayer list for the church’s Monday email, and I’m trying to get something together for tonight’s leadership meeting to discuss the best way to present it to the church. Of course, I can’t throw something together, so I have been creating something pretty in Canva. For dinner, I’m making spinach tortellini with chicken and steamed broccoli. So sorta of healthy and sorta not. 😂
Question: What’s one healthy habit you've added that’s made the biggest difference in your journey so far? Working out is the best healthy habit I have by far! It makes my body feel so much better and boosts my mood. 🙂However, now that I just read micarro4 answer to the question, I'm now convicted to log my food. Thanks a lot @micaroo4 😂

It's been a rocky few weeks. My knee got injured during my workout, and I couldn't work out for a week and a half. I turned to food to cope as I always do. I've gotten into the habit of as long as I workout, I can still eat bad and more. Which never works. I need to get back on track. I definitely can't afford to get back into the 280's. Food has always been my weakness. My goal is to get down to the 250's before fall hits. Hope everyone else is doing well.

WEIGH IN UPDATE
WEIGH INS DUE TODAY: @bobboyardee @AnAbsoluteDiva
Reminder To Weigh In Tomorrow To The Wonderful @askewcr0 -
@lislisa123 If you don’t want to get back into the 280s now is the perfect time to start making some positive changes and avoid it! Is there anything we can do to help? Maybe focusing on maintaining next week would help for it to not feel overwhelming but make it easier to get back into it? I’ve noticed for me it’s often a good stepping stone to stop gaining at least. You got this!
@TeresaW2024 I remember you were very interested in the amino acid class last time I took it! I talked a friend into coming as I think it could help her binge eating. You fill out a questionnaire then choose the one category you have the most issues with to trial and take it then see how you feel later (she did a long lecture too). My friend and I both tried the 5-HTP which promotes positive thinking and issues in that area are from low serotonin. The symptoms are 1. Afternoon or evening cravings 2. Negativity, depression, worry, anxiety 3 perfectionist, controlling, angry 4. Migraines 5. Panic attacks, phobias 6. Suicidal thoughts 7. Night owl, hard to go to sleep 8. Insomnia, disturbed sleep 9. Racing thoughts keep you awake. Substances used for these issues tend to be sweets and starches, chocolate, salt, alcohol, marijuana, ecstasy, Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Lexipro/Celebrex. 5-HTP can help the thinking issues in this category and L-Tryptophan can help issues around sleep. This category wasn’t one of my highest but I’m already taking GABA so I wanted to try something else. After taking two capsules my friend and I were both feeling happier and relaxed, I wasn’t catastrophizing how bad my pain was anymore and was coping with it vs mentally being super negative. My friend felt more relaxed too and she’s been real stressed out. Think I told you last time the woman who was a pioneer at using amino acids with people recovering from addiction and achieved a great increase in those who recovered is Julia Ross, she wrote The Craving Cure and The Mood Cure. Yikes thunder and a barking Maggie don’t sound like a fun way to wake up! Dinner sounds delicious. I wish I could visit you and learn Canva from you and @trooworld !
@trooworld Thanks! I haven’t seen that recipe by skinnytaste it sounds delicious! I hope you find something else good to make.
@micaroo4 Logging is a great answer I agree with you I learned a lot there too and think it’s important. It was the best thing I did for getting control of my diabetes I had no clue how much sugar I was eating.
@FushiaKat I’m so glad you’re feeling a bit better. I’m with you the weather’s been so weird! I’m glad your friend is out of the hospital. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Thanks! I love that idea I freeze and dehydrate a ton of basil but chives and green onions are perfect for having frozen and being able to pull out thanks for the idea! I’m so glad you took a “me” day great idea! Glad you’re rocking the no oil keep up the great work!
Hi team! Started the steroid pack yesterday and am already moving a bit easier today. I’m also trying some help CBD samples I got from a seller at the farmer’s market so maybe it’s helping too. Went to the farm this morning and weeded the green beans for 3 hours. I ordered a 50 foot roll of cattle panel-type fencing to make trellises but I don’t have the energy to deal with it today. My roommate and I are making a charcuterie board for dinner and she’ll be home soon so I’m going to start working on it. Have a great Thursday!

@TeresaW2024 I do, too. It's so good! I got the sauce at Sam's Club and it was easy to make. I was too tired for the pineapple chicken lol. Sorry about your early morning wakeup from the thunder. Poor Maggie! I love Canva! Good luck with that project. Your dinner sounds yummy!
@Lislisa123 That's a good goal. Sorry about your knee. How is it now?
@DrewsAnna Congrats on the loss!
@Katmary71 Here's the recipe in case you want to check it out: https://www.skinnytaste.com/thai-chicken-and-pineapple-stir-fry/ I'm glad the steroid pack is already helping and possibly the CBD samples. I love charcuterie! How'd it turn out?
Hi all. I was too tired when I got home from work to make the pineapple chicken so I had leftover gochujang noodles for dinner. I don't know what I will have tonight: my husband is leaving for Japan for a trip with his sister tomorrow and I will be getting him ready for that. So, it may be something like a frozen pizza. By the way, in case anyone needs this, I've been using an app called Freedom that blocks my access to certain sites during the hours I choose. For me, I'm blocking shopping sites during my work hours. It's really helping! You can choose to block social sites, entertainment sites, or specific sites of your choosing. I am doing the premium version for $7.99 a month but there is also a free version with fewer features:

@Katmary71 Thanks for the explanation of 5-HTP. I bought the Craving Cure but haven’t even read past the first few pages. I need to pull it down off the shelf and get to reading. I have a few of the symptoms that 5-HTP might help. I’m glad that the steroid pack is helping you move better. Yum, I love a good charcuterie!! 😍
@trooworld , how long will you be home alone? Do you have any fun plans? I have never heard of that Freedom app, but it sounds like a great idea! I have been considering deleting my Amazon app from my phone, forcing me to go to the computer to make a purchase. It’s just so easy to buy stuff these days! 🙂
Good morning! I’m hoping my mood is better today. For some reason, I was just so grouchy yesterday. It didn’t help that I had an hour-long church meeting where I couldn’t hear again. The pastor said the new mic will be in soon, so I hope that helps the situation. We will have a potluck lunch at the church on June 8 to talk about our revitalization program. Since I haven't been able to hear well, I told them that instead of helping with the presentation, I will take notes if anyone has questions. They actually accepted that idea, so yayyy me! 😁 My bestie is coming for coffee today, and I look forward to hanging out with her. Dinner tonight will be air fryer pork chops and this lemon thyme stuffing I bought at Aldi. Have a great day! 🙂

Hi 👋
I checked into the ER yesterday. I was given a blood transfusion last night. They told me I'm going to be here for 2 or 3 days. I don't know what is causing the bleed yet, but I think they are planning an endoscopy for tomorrow.
I'm still really tired and my numbers are still really low. I'll let you know more when I know.

@TeresaW2024 One week. I might get a massage but other than that, not doing much but relaxing! The app is really working out. It is way too easy to buy things now! Deleting the Amazon app is a great idea. Was your mood better yesterday? Were you able to hear better? I hope you had fun with your bestie!
@DrewsAnna I hope you are okay and they figure it out.
@davors19 @Cornanda Congrats on the losses!
Hi all. I'm up a bit early as I have to take my DH and his sister to LAX this morning for their flight. I'm not looking forward to the drive to LA as there is always traffic, especially going to the airport. I took the whole day off because I don't know how long it will take to do this. Hopefully, I get back in time to go to the coffee shop and read or something fun. I made it to Onederland this morning!

@DrewsAnna I’m so sorry you are in the hospital. I pray the doctors can find out what is wrong and give you the right treatment. 💗
@trooworld My mood was better, thanks for asking! I hope the new mic will be here for next Wednesday’s meeting. I always enjoy time with my girlfriend. She truly is the best human I've ever met. No idea what she sees in me! 😂 Wahoooooo on making it to Onderland!! 😎🤩 You save that picture and vow right now NEVER to go back! I hope traffic isn’t too horrible and you can enjoy some good “me” time.
Good morning! Today, my niece and I are going to buy her a car. We found a 2020 Ford Explorer at a great price from a private owner. We did as much due diligence as possible and felt good about this choice. If we had gone to CarMax, we would have spent the same money on a much older SUV. Of course, something could go wrong, so my prayers have gone into overtime. 🙏 😃 I’m going to take today off from working out and have no idea what I’m making for dinner yet. Have a great day!2 -
@trooworld – I was typing too fast – the movie is called Fight OR Flight (not of). Watch a preview and try to tell me you didn’t laugh! I can’t wait to see Final Destination Bloodlines, but family is visiting this weekend (see below), so it’ll have to wait until Monday. CONGRATS ON ENTERING ONEDERLAND!!!!!
@TeresaW2024 – I love to color code my spreadsheets hahahaha! Oh how wonderful that you found a good car for your niece! Have a good, relaxing day.
@lislisa123 – You can do this! Glad you checked in and shared with us. Hugs!
@Katmary71 – I’d love to see a picture of the trellises you plan to make!
@askewcr – Hugs! Anything we can help with?
@DrewsAnna – Oh no! Hugs and prayers for the doctors to get it figured out. Please keep us posted. Very pretty flowers.
@Cornanda – Nice loss!
Kicking myself. I did so good all day yesterday. Used the last of my calories to have a Smirnoff Ice Triple Black on my porch while watching the light show (we had a really intense thunderstorm and the sky was turning on and off like a light switch). It was nice and relaxing. I should have gone to bed after that. But NOOOOO. I had to stay up later. Then I got hungry…and ended up making peanut noodles that put me 400 calories over. Ugh. I’m a menace to myself. I did a good job with food prep and mix-n-matching components this week, so I’ll try not to be too hard on myself. At least when I make peanut noodles I use PB2 and I always steam at least a cup of broccoli for it. Hoping to have a good Friday and Saturday, though, as my son and granddaughters will be staying with me while my DIL is doing an overnight bridal party thing for her sister. I’m gonna be exhausted! I hope everyone is able to stick with their plans this weekend! Let’s all take it one day at a time :)

WEIGH INS NEEDED TODAY FROM @AnAbsoluteDiva @bethanie0825
Reminder To Weigh IN Tomorrow To @gemwolf110 @digger61@trooworld Woot woot Go Chris sliding into Onederland! SO happy for you!
Hi friends! Sorry for being MIA last night I went out to dinner with my neighbor and today was my nephew's birthday dinner. I'm doing Big Day of Service tomorrow (the town comes up with a bunch of projects to better the community and the day is kicked off with a breakfast and rally followed by the team projects) at the community garden and need to get to bed, the rally starts at 7:30 AM at a local high school and I need to get batteries for my stereo before I get there. My friend is leading the project and I've been trying to take some stress off her by taking charge of the food so we went to the store and got everything then tomorrow I'll make all the sandwiches and take charge of serving lunch. Some of the other garden bed renters will be there too so it should be a fun day. My oldest nephew is coming for volunteer credit. Have an awesome Saturday friends!

@TeresaW2024 I'm glad your mood was better. I hope the mic is there, too! I'm glad you have such a special best friend. I know what she sees in you, you have a big heart, you are funny and kind! <3 Thank you! You are right, I should post that picture on the fridge lol. I am seriously worried about gaining back weight: my appetite will eventually start coming back (it's normal), and I am worried about it. Thank you! I'm glad you found a car for your niece. It's scary to get a car from a private owner but you just have to trust it's a good car. I'm sure it is! What did you make for dinner? :)
@vegan4lyfe2012 Ah okay! Thank you for the clarification. Watching the trailer now. The dyed blonde guy: he was just in an episode of Black Mirror that we watched! This looks like a movie my husband and I would watch together and enjoy. Thanks for that! It does look funny! Thank you! That sounds fun to sit on your porch and enjoy a drink, watching the lightning. That's a great choice to use PB2 for the noodles! I love those kinds of noodles. And great to add broccoli, that's not so bad to eat, making it that way! I hope you have fun with your family.
@Katmary71 Thank you! Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead of you. I hope the Big Day of Service goes well.
@micaroo4 Thank you!
Hi all. Traffic was surprisingly almost non-existent, we got to LAX airport in about 2 hrs 30 minutes. It's a huge airport with 8 terminals so I was very anxious but we managed to find the right terminal and I dropped them off okay. I got back in 2 hrs 10 mins. I went to a credit union and opened an account there and that's about all I did. I came home and looked at our budget and made some adjustments. Then, I just relaxed. I ate part of a Caesar salad kit from Sam's Club for dinner. Today, I have some errands: groceries, a haircut, and then taking one of the dogs to the vet. I may go to the coffee shop, too, and read.
Tracked yesterday? Yes!

@vegan4lyfe2012 You didn’t go over too many calories with those noodles, which is good, but I know it still frustrates you to go over. That’s why I don’t like counting! 😁 Have fun with your son and granddaughters!
@Katmary71 How big is your town? I love how you do community projects to better your community! Joe and I have been watching the series Home Town Small Town Takeover, in which they revitalize a small dying town. It’s essential to have people like you who care about improving their community. ☺️
@trooworld You are so sweet! 💖 I understand your fear of gaining the weight back. I worked with a guy who had the surgery and lost a tremendous amount of weight, and then years later, I ran into him, and he gained at least half the weight back. So, you must remain diligent for the rest of your life. And since you know this, you have a much greater chance than the person who thinks they get to their goal weight and then are done. We are never done! 🙄 For dinner, I made scrambled eggs and toast. I was tired and lazy, but it filled us up. 🙂That is great that the traffic wasn’t too bad. How long will your DH be gone? I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Good morning! Well, we did it. We bought a car! My niece Kayla’s face after she test-drove it and the hug she gave me after we bought it made my day! I am praying it will run great for years and years to come. 🙏 Today, I need to cut Joe’s hair, do housework, and work out. I will complete my challenge from Katmary and make a Skinnytaste recipe for dinner. I’m making homemade Hamburger Helper because Joe loves pasta so much, and I have all the ingredients except for part-skim cheese. I only buy extra sharp cheddar because that is what we like. 🙂 https://www.skinnytaste.com/homemade-hamburger-helper/2 -
