A quick reflection on the weekend.
Tl;Dr: It wasn't the great weekend I wanted to get myself back on track, but there were some good choices in there.
My weekend started on a not so healthy note, when I returned home from dropping off my boys and my husband had dinner from a BBQ restaurant waiting for me. And then we ordered ice cream for dessert. On Saturday, I did a long run in the morning, which made me super hungry the rest of the day, so my eating wasn't great then, either. On Sunday, I tried to run again, but I felt like absolute poop. I made it about half mile before deciding it wasn't worth and just walked for an hour. Eating was decent that day, though.

@jessicakrall8 no air repair co isn't coming until sometime this morning it's very humid today and no breeze so having windows open isn't really doing anything at all

July Step Challenge
6/29 6568Didn't get my morning walk in due to cooking and getting ready for my family to come and join us at the lake. Spent most of the day in the lake, hense, not so many steps. Still the water felt great and my legs appreciated the break!

Good morning y'all:
I'm on vacation until Monday morning, so this morning, got up early, played with Betty and just put some chicken in to bake. It's headed towards raining here, so it's not as hot…otherwise, I wouldn't have the oven on…it's just been so hot and I've had ten thighs waiting to be cooked. Will get that done and enjoy lots of leftovers for the weekend.
Doing a little bit of work from home as well, as my dept is backed up on remedy tickets…I'm helping the EDI team with data testing and error reports to vendors…just doing a little to help out. But I wanted to pop in here and say hello first. Hope you're all doing well today!
What's up for your plans for today? I am trying to stay away from the news, but am very disappointed with what's been happening. I can hear my mom and grandmother in my head, "I can't believe this is the world we're living in…", but very glad they're not here to see the cruelty that's occurring. Won't get political, but just know that my heart is broken and I'm daily looking for opportunities to help those who need it. If we all lived that way every day, looking to help others, wouldn't the world be a better place…that's my new goal. Those of you in other countries, just know that most of us aren't jerks. Nuff said…

For lunch today, I had a small thin crust pepperoni and green pepper pizza at a new restaurant someone recommended to me. It was the first time I've had pizza in a year. This restaurant was amazing…got to watch the guy make the pizza…wasn't greasy, crust was partially soft, which is rare for thin crust and the green peppers were delicious. It wasn't overcooked. Only ate 3 small pieces. Very nice meal…got my hair cut and eyebrows waxed. Walked three times today and enjoyed a not-too-hot sunny day with lots of music and relaxation. Just a lovely, LOVELY day! Best of all…no pain and I can walk again…best day I've had in a long, long time.

@CasandraW You should see me this morning…walking and dancing to some smooth jazz all around the house for 28 minutes…I'm on vacation until Monday…yesterday got my hair cut and this morning just bebopping around the house and playing with Betty. Next weekend, Garmin is having a walking weekend where the challenge is to do a 3-mile walk…going to try it…will take about an hour and fifteen minutes, but if I throw in some dancing, I think I can do it. We shall see…feels good to be moving again…
Thank you for sharing my joy!!! I just love our team and how supportive everyone is…all the time…wish the world would match us…but I can stay in our little bubble and be happy.
