Happy Thursday! Dad had to be at the hospital by 5:30am so I spent the night there. Slept for crap after a crappy conversation with the parents.
Surgery is done, he’s in recovery doing well, it was more blocked than they originally thought.Need to figure out a 30 minute walk today to keep my streak…
I’m not sure if I’ll stay tonight or not. Playing it by ear…

Yeah, I think so, haven’t seen the surgeon today, but he’s already talking about the second surgery….
I’ll stay the night so I can take care of my sisters dog tomorrow while she gets her classroom set up and she takes mom to sit with dad…

So hungry! Had breakfast, but nothing since…. I think we’ll be leaving soon to get Chic-fil-a, not a great meal, but sustenance.

Dad came home yesterday! yay!!! I'm home now! Scott came to their house after work yesterday, so we had dinner with them and we stayed the night.
Today I will be focusing on getting my classroom tasks done and pick up the house/make a menu. Hope all is well with you!

GREAT news about Dad !! Today was opening day of the Ren Faire, SO much fun! We saw 7 live shows, ate a bunch of stuff we shouldn't have, and can't wait to go back tmo ;-). Just out of the shower. Feet are a bit sore, but knees are holding up!

I got up early to get a 5k walk in, felt great to get it done! I am planning on getting strength training done at lunch! I also got a pork butt on the smoker this morning. Hoping it will be ready for dinner!
Will be getting my plan set for the week for Hogwarts. Need to figure out my plan for today about the house as well. One thing I MUST do today is get my nails done after work. They are super grown out and way too long for typing. :)

Good Monday morning! It was wiiiccked fun! We made it to see 10 live shows yesterday. The knee shots are def helping, but I spoke too soon, everybody was sore last night. Knees, pads of feet, calves, hands and fingers (hands and fingers!?), shoulders, arms, lol … I took out the massager for my feet, and it was just as welcome on all the other sore bits, too :D. Sooooo much sodium and soooooo much bad food, tho! Scale is a disaster this week 😬.

Doing a lot of thinking this week about a lot of stuff, trying to stay afloat with feelings. I feel like I'm failing in my staying engaged here, with friends, with family, and it's making me feel very bad. So, I will be working on that.

Ohhh, man I wish I checked in yesterday! Hugs! Obviously, I'm struggling with staying engaged this week, as well. Also going to work on it. Did I tell you I gained 6.9 lbs in about 9-10 days!? From Sunday last week, to Monday this week, I was up 6.9 lbs. Dropped 3.8 combined b/w Mon & Tue w/i, but that means I'm still up 2.9 lbs from last Sunday's weigh-in. WAAAAY too many high sodium food choices last week (KFC for 2 days, Fair Food for 2 days, yikes), plus swolls from overuse. omgosh
I'm ready for the break. Maybe past ready :p
Last weekend we daytripped from home, but next weekend we're overnighting at a glamping tent Sat/Sun/Mon nite (back Tuesday), and the same the weekend after, except at The Shire, a Hobbit House built into the earth (heh). When I get back, I'm scheduling a fast soon-ish after! Injections ended last Monday (supposed to not fast within 2 weeks of any kind of procedures), and Fair silliness will be over, soo … good time. Def getting it done in August.
I promise to always listen. Even if I'm late in doing so this time. Xx
I 'graduated' from PT today. Now it's up to me to keep it up, on my own. Need the accountability on that!

Happy Thursday! No worries, you listened at just the right time! I needed to get words out, and it did help. Part of it is my weight gain from my trip a few weeks ago, still struggling to get it back off, so you are not alone!
How much fun is glamping? I'm excited for the Hobbit Home as well! I EXPECT pictures! I am not going to intentionally fast for now, at least 2 meals/day.

I have put a couple more tabs on my 2025 health tracker spreadsheet. Like I need another place to track, am I right? First tab is for 75 Soft. Like 75 hard, but my rules. I want to start Monday, but will probably Aug 4. I want to put out a video announcing and inviting others to join me, with weekly updates, so I think I need to give everyone a heads up more than just a few days! :)

Whenever I'm typing more than a sentence or two (or most times, I do forget sometimes), I hit 'Save Post' bc it's toooo annoying when a post gets lost, that's for sure! (Speaking of which, my 'moderated' post never reappeared, that was super annoying, that was one of those long posts!).
LOL I absolutely love the digital expansions. I do believe we suffer from similar ailments in that department. I can get utterly lost in spreadsheeting!

This will be our first glamping! I haven't been tenting since before my (most recent) knee injury, in 2023. Kinda looking forward to it. All the benefit of camping, none of the set up work! And the Hobbit House looks tooooo cute! Can't wait. I think Katie is joining us that weekend, not 100% certain. Her plans don't coalesce into real plans until last minute, usually. heh

Happy Saturday! Copilot and I have been plotting world domination the last couple days! Well…. Operation "get Jenny retired"…. LOL I have been putting out little daily blurbs on TikTok about my walking streak (I'm up to day 20!) and I'm getting some traction, so I've cross posted to other social media. I told Copilot I want to replace my income (I'm still not comfortable with my position at work), so how can I do it? LOL Here's what I've done in 3 days:
- set up Linktree to hold affiliate links and other things to drive traffic to all my socials. I also joined the Amazon Affiliate program so I can earn money that way.
- Set up a facebook PAGE (Public) and linked it to Instagram so I only have to post once. I had to make them "business accounts" so now I have access to Meta tools, and my mind is blown! :) I have so much I want to do!
- I started a "newsletter" (not ready for publication yet, but getting used to it. I have scripting to have people subscribe and auto replies set up, and scripting to send out the next newsletter in line. (that was a tough one!). Newsletter is step one, step I don't now will be small coaching challenges ($$), but that's way down the line right now.
- I started a spreadsheet with video ideas and article ideas, what is just swirling in my head right now. I have prioritized a few things already of what is in progress, what is easy to add in. I need more article ideas! I think my first one was pretty good, though…. I modified it slightly for LinkedIn even! 1 person shared it!
- I took those ideas and added them to a calendar, so now I know which day I need to do what (like today I have to record a video for me starting 75 soft on Aug 4, will edit tomorrow and release on Monday)
So, with all this going on, I am hanging by my nails to get this Hogwarts challenge done, and will probably not join the next one (will see what my schedule looks like). I will NOT, however, be leaving THIS group, because I need FlyLady more than ever! Rofl!

Ok, so today I need to get some things done around here! If I'm going to be videoing as much as I want to, then I will need to have clean spaces! :) I also need to jackhammer Scott out of his office chair and FORCE him to help me instead of working all day again today. He needs a day off!!!
Plan for today:
- Clean kitchen- dishes, counters, big dishes
- Clean dining room- table mostly
- Video 75 soft intro video (This means do hair, put on makeup! lol)
- Edit video, schedule for release
- Menu plan/grocery shop - tomorrow I film at least 1 recipe!
- Get exercise room cleaned up (AGAIN!) as I will be filming there too- strength training
- Walk watching that rowing video. I already claimed it, so I need to do it!
- Track all my food!!!!!!!!

Happy Monday! My new fitness ring comes Friday! I'm so excited! It's been 2+ weeks! My tracker looks sadddddd.
Today my 75 Soft video goes live! I will be starting it next Monday! My Criteria:
- Keto (I can do carnivore if I want, but keto gives me flexibility), no alcohol
- 2-30 min exercises daily- Ideally 1 walk and 1 flexibility or strength
- 96 oz water a day (4 bottles)
- Read/Crochet 20 minutes a day (I can do both if I want, but have to do 1)
- Progress Pics weekly
Got a lot done in the kitchen this weekend- Scott got my shelves installed under the island! Wheeee!!!

Happy Tuesday! Scott leaves tomorrow morning 7am for GenCon- it's a gaming convention in Indianapolis that he goes to ever year. He'll be home Sunday afternoon. Trying to figure out some things to do to fill those nights. More than likely it will be YouTube and early to bed :) LOL
Today's focus:
- Write one article
- Film one short promoting 75 soft and upload
- Finish reading "Find the work you're wired to do". It's an easy read and I'm 60% done
- Order a new monitor- I've decided I need 3 monitors, one for social media work, so that will be here between 10-3.
- Clean personal desk in prep for the new monitor. How does it get so out of control???
- Write one document for work- People on my side are thrilled with what I'm doing, but the new company is not happy with my doing that.. LOL
- Towels
- Main bathroom

I feel like I'm finally getting into somewhat of a groove with a few social media things. I really want to push hard on this because I really feel like there is an expiration date at work (especially after internal emails this week), so, if I can get SOMETHING going and monetized by the end of the year, that would be a very good thing.
I finally got my fitness ring yesterday! yay! Of course I had to do a walk! :) Scott is off to GenCon. Looks like he's already having a blast! I didn't sleep well last night, hoping to wear myself out today so I can tonight! :)
Plans for today:
- finish reading that book! I was busy the last couple days, so today I am going to slow down
- Do towels and laundry
- start cleaning up phone pictures to make transferring/editing easier
- Make/film one recipe today (for release on Sunday

Gol dang it - I missed the big Zoom meetup for Atomic Habits book club group. It was last night. I also didn't read the book yet, so there is that ;-).
Doing laundry to pack up tomorrow for weekend at the Ren Faire and The Shire. I didn't pack until Sat morning last week, which was a bit ridiculous :p.

I love it! (duo book club!). Not today (I'm trying to keep my head above water before we leave again, lol), but soon, I'll link you to the pre-meeting discussion thread they had going on. There were some thought-provoking questions and inspos posted by the leader. I think you'd enjoy a quick browse thru.
Bed made, wash hung, 2nd lol of laundry spinning. Visited with Eric a bit. On my 2nd cup of protein tea, and I made us both a slice of dense Polish dark rye toast, with lingonberries spread.
LOL one cat is in an emptied suitcase, another is lying next to it. Cats are cute. Oh! 1st cat just bailed.

First full day with my RingConn was successful- 11,777 steps, sleep score of 80 (vs 71 the night before). Feeling pretty excited and nervous going into next week when I start 75 soft and have to spend the night/day at my parents. I can do this! I need to work on a plan today.
I got a call from a recruiter yesterday, really everything my experience is. A slight (less than $700) pay cut, but honestly, that's ok because I think there's no on-call, which is a huge benefit. Will see where it goes. It's a 12 month contract to hire, so that works
Got a few things done around here yesterday, so will keep going. I need to get a couple videos created, but alas, the kitchen/dining aren't where I want them right now. But they are close. So I'll get them done today so I can make a cooking video… now…. what to video…? LOL
Plans for today:
- get darks/lights done. I got towels done/put away yesterday.
- Finish big dishes
- Make 1 cooking video
- continue cleaning up phone (didn't get NEAR enough cleaned up yesterday)
- Put 2 things on my Linktree (didn't do it yesterday, maybe I should do 4 things?)
Trying to figure out what I want for dinner… taco salad last night was really good, but the way my teeth are now after the Invisalign, chewing is weird, and thin things like romaine even more so. Maybe I need to practice some more?

On #4 for your list, speaking from past experience, don't stack missed days ;-). Just do 2 items on your Link Tree today. Almost invariably, in the past, when I've allowed myself to 'make up' misses on subsequent days it leads to two disasters: 1.) I don't mind 'missing' because I can 'make it up tomorrow'. And 2.) The pileup gets away from me, eventually ;-). I say, just pick up and keep going :D.
Almost packed~! I have some stuff from yesterdays wash that needs to go thru the dryer first, and I'm going to toss in another wash today. I want to put my favorite summer jammies in the wash to come with (and I guess I'll strip sheets to fill out that wash load, too).
And toiletries, etc to do in the morning, too.
