Good Tuesday morning !
It's toasty for real today ! It's forecast to be above 90F with heat indexes up to 105F (depending on area, map is ME and NH), Then 80F, then 70F, then back to the 60sF by Fri, and 60s & raining
again
on Sat & Sun! 🙃 I'm planning on leaving the two 15s incomplete today, we do not have central AC, and the heat is not lingering, so no need to get drippingly uncomfortably hot. I'll wait until today's heat passes ;-).Litter boxes scooped, bathroom swished & swiped, laundry in the dryer, just waiting for it to finish so I can fold it. Should be a short dryer run, it was hung to dry last night, the dryer is just to soften/dewrinkle stuff.
I did start Atomic Habits last night :D. Read the Intro, planning on reading a chapter tonight. Maybe a chapter a day. I don't want to plow through it like I might do with a fiction book, b/c then I won't retain much. Fell asleep before getting the meditating bingo square done, tho, so I'll have to do that today (challenge ends today).
When I did my DuoLingo Turkish last night, I discovered that I used up a 'Streak Freeze' for Sunday, forgot to actually do my Duo on Sunday. Whoops!
Dressed for the gym, heading to do ~50m ST (upper/core/lower), and ~45m PTEs. Hopefully before the biggest heat of the day hits. Wish I got up at 5:30 instead of 7:30 - I did actually wake at 5:15, but said 'nahhh' - but getting there in around 10:30 shouldn't be too bad.

That is my maternal family! My sister and I are the only girls, with 5 boy cousins!
Yesterday I got a message from a recruiter on LinkedIn, we chatted for a minute. I have submitted for the position and will talk to her on Monday. Crossing fingers because it’s a big position, but uses all my skills, which really excites me!
Dad will have carotid surgery July 17, so I guess it’s not as emergent as we lay people think! Still has a long road of surgeries ahead (cervical and arm), but there is a good path ahead!
We played a few hands of Uno- good times, lots of laughs!
Tomorrow we leave for Frankfort, KY… just me and Scott. After 5 days of peopling, I’m ready for it to be just us 2!

No LOL to put thru the dryer today, and no laundry to actually wash, either. Tomrw I should have a lol to wash tho. With Eric gone Mon-Mon, there's no backlog of laundry, I got it all done while he was gone, fresh towels, dishtowels, etc. I could actually do a bleaches load today, but it's soupy/humid today, so with no pressing need, I'll skip hanging wet laundry until it has a fair-to-middling chance of actually drying on the rack 💡🪂🧺 (haha hang glider emoji, the only thing that came up when I typed 'hang').
I did my DuoLingo Turkish last night, but chose to intentionally use up a Streak Freeze on the other app, Drops Turkish. heh I was soooooo tired yesterday! Even took a nap midday, 57m from 15:43 - 16:48. Hey, it got me over my 7.5 hr/day sleep goal, so I can claim a day for Hogwarts week-long challenge ;-). Only 1 day tho, cuz last night I didn't get to sleep until 02:38 :/.
Today I have in-office PTEs at noon, and taking a neighbor to get an x-ray of his hip after. 2:15 appt, so have to leave by 1:50, I guess. After 2:30 would have been better for his xray, to give me ample time for lunch and a shower, after PTE (won't get home until after 1p, I guess). It'll be tight. Hope I don't have to postpone shower, I get rashy when I don't wash sweat off right away. 😬

Litter boxes scooped, bathroom swished, but not yet swiped, bed made, face, teeth washed, am thyroid meds down the hatch, hair combed, dressed to sandals, and even a zip up hoodie, heh. No LOL to put thru the dryer today, and no laundry to actually wash, either. Tho I could do that bleaches load I mentioned yesterday, we'll see.
Today is supposed to be PTEs and also ST circuits at PF. Think my knee could use another 'rest' day today. Odd bulge in the lower/outer/front left knee following Monday's injection. Plus I did PTEs Tu & We this week already, bc of in-office PTE appt yesterday. I dunno, we'll see. Hate to skip the ST, tho … could maybe do an after-dinner visit, to cross off nighttime workout for Hogwarts challenge, maybe.

Happy Monday!!!! I'm back home! I will read up later, my brain is still in vacation mode… LOL
We got home about 1:30 yesterday, got the dishes in the dishwasher and food put away, will start on laundry/unpacking today. We have a party on Friday, so will have to get busy at night. I've been flakey at work the last couple weeks, so I need to really focus on work. I have a 10 am meeting with my boss, and then the 10:30 meeting with the recruiter, so hopefully everything works out timing wise! The more I prepare for the recruiter, the more excited about the position I am, it takes all of my experience into account, which is wonderful!
Today's list:

Good Morning! Recruiter meet went OK… I'm not holding my breath. I know I could have done the position, but I was nervous, word vomit, etc. So…. LOL All experience is a learning opportunity.
Detoxing from bad food is ongoing. I'm down 2 pounds from yesterday. LOL Still up 5 pounds… rofl…. I was feeling really yuck yesterday on many levels and my blood sugar was high all day (130's when I started testing in the afternoon), so I didn't get anything done yesterday.
Today is July 1, I am starting a challenge for the month of me practicing getting off the floor at least 5 times every day. I have anxiety even thinking about getting DOWN on the floor, and I know this is something I need for flexibility health!
I also want to focus on sleep, stress management, exercise, etc. Time to get back on track with tracking my food, etc. Since stopping tracking my food (protein/fat), I have not really lost any more, so time to get back to it.

Thanks! I'm still getting used to having all that space! We did do a little "stash and dash" before the vacation, so I'll straighten that out soon! :)
I have put lights in the washer, darks are ready to go. Dishwasher is unloaded. I did some research on scalp psoriasis and have ordered some things I hope will help! (Grok told me I'm not washing my hair enough- I wash 1-2 days a week to minimize trauma to my scalp and my hair doesn't seem dirty often, but should be doing it 3-4 days a week to keep the plaque soft/at bay, so adding that to my routine as well). I Should be getting it all tomorrow. Bed is made as well. Will start on the suitcases soon.
Yesterday after lunch my blood sugar was 135, which is high for me (I usually run about 100), probably to do more with what I ate as well as the last week of eating bad. This morning at 9:15 my blood sugar was 100! So…. definitely starting to heal from my bad eating! :) I'm also flushing out the expected accumulation of fluids from my poor eating! yay!
WTG on going to PF! I am going to be working on a workout schedule for myself. The Beauxbatons have a wheel to spin, as well as bingo, so I plan on getting more engaged this go round. I have updated my 2025 health tracker as well, so time to keep on track with that, too (pun not intended!)

TY luvvie ! I love the Grok updates! Gee, I only wash my hair 1x/wk now! (Just washed this morning.) It's so thick it doesn't even look greasy/dirty by the time I wash it :p. I haven't checked my bg in over 2 mos, I should check it.
Creaky knee brigade update! Just back from orthopedic surgeon's office. Got shot #2 of 3 of visco gel injections in left knee, and shot #1 of 3 of visco gel injections in right knee. Next week is left knee 3 of 3, and right knee 2 of 3 :D. It's supposed to take up to 8 weeks to reach peak effectiveness. Resting them today. Last week I 'had a wander' around the campus for 30 minutes post-injection. This week the lady said no exercising for 24 hrs.
Good thing I did my Planet Fitness ST workouts ✔ and PTEs playlist workout ✔ this morning, AND already have over my 10k/daily steps goal complete ✔.
It's disgusting out today. Low 80s, but it feels like walking thru steamy mud. Bloof!

What a busy day you had! I hope the injections are helpful in the coming weeks! I can imagine it's pretty frustrating to deal with! Good job on getting in your PT/PF stuff before the appointment! LOL on the nurse telling you no exercise for 24 hours!

I did some "shopping" today on amazon, so fun stuff coming tomorrow. I was going to get a used copy of Atomic Habit, but after seeing they were $5.99+ 3.99 shipping for a USED book, OR $14 for a new copy…. yeah, I'm worth the extra few dollars! :D
I also got some Aloe Vera gel, Vitamin C serum and special shampoo/conditioner (Coal tar?). Tomorrow morning I will get a shower right away because I have to pick up my new aligners at 10.
Tonight after work I did 45 minutes on the treadmill. Since it's quidditch I worked to push my heart rate up a little more by upping the incline to 3 for most of the walk. Scott needs to get our TV put back up! I was listening to 12 rules for life, but it's not as much fun as watching TV while walking!
2 more days of work this week (nice to come back to a short week!) and Friday night we'll have friends over for Scott's birthday! It will be fun. Will be dry until then- alcohol AND carbs… LOL
I did end up getting the darks and lights done, then found more darks… LOL that will keep for another day.

Good Morning! Thanks to Amazon I got the pure aloe about 5:15, so used it on my scalp before my shower. I can see it at least helped my plaque on my head! The new shampoo/conditioner come today, so I'll use it the next time I wash (thinking Friday).
I did take time last night to fill out my planner, so I'm pretty proud of myself for that. Did it before I went to sleep. When I was consistent with it, I found filling it out for what I missed throughout the day, as well as pre-planning a few things for the next day while I was in bed was a good way to wind down.
Today plans (from last night planning):
- Dentist at 10 am (leave at 9:45) to get my new aligners! wheee!!!

Today I have to pick up a grocery order. I'd scheduled it to be ready at 3p yesterday, so I could get it on the way home from doc. Pulled in, and checked app, nope, not ready, and wouldn't be for another 45 min! oof I was toying with the idea of getting in an indoor bike sesh @ PF, but nope on that, knee is def dodgy. Going to follow the advice and rest if for the full 24-48 hrs post-injection. Weird, it's only the right knee that's dodgy, the left knee I could have a go with, but not the right knee. Taking neighbor to doc appt, too.

Good Thursday Morning!
Sorry about the food pickup, hope all went smoothly yesterday! WTG on recognizing when to scale back! Sometimes that's the hardest thing to do! I hope your knees are feeling some better today. Have you heard of the knees over toes guy? He has some interesting ideas (and a couple books!) on knee and back health!

Speaking of books, got my hard copy of Atomic Habits yesterday and was listening to some of it on my walk outside (it was in the 80's!). I can't wait to dig into the hard copy and really work on the exercises. It's so easy to just blow past them when all you're doing is listening. One thing he said I had to LOL about, since I've been doing it for… 20?? years…. Make it so that you can't NOT do it-like put your exercise clothes/shoes out the night before. Flylady taught me that! When I put my shoes on first thing, when it's time for lunch it's so much easier to just take off for a walk!
Last night was a little off kilter. I got my new aligners, but Scott had to take the truck into work because I needed the car, and it became apparent last night we need a new battery. We've jumped it a couple times, but thought maybe we just hadn't run it enough. Well, 5:45 I get a call…. sigh…. my battery is dead again…. So… 25 min there, 25 min home, I told him he owed me dinner and fun, so we went to Goodwill (LOL Our version of fun!) and ate dinner at a new restaurant that is NOT anywhere NEAR even KETO friendly. Weight it up .4 of a pound today, but that's ok. Today I'm going to drink plenty of water and walk at lunch. I'm going to try to get an upper body workout today too! :)

It's go at your own pace. Zoom meetup at the end, tentatively Jul 30. This challenge is easy, b/c there are no tasks to do. You just kinda hang out with one of the 5 teams. There are whole group 'weekly challenges', but they're not competitions, more activities to join in.

Good morning! Happy 4th! :) We were able to sit in the front yard and watch the fireworks last night! sigh…. it was perfect out! I'm afraid today will be SUUUUUPER hot out. Hopefully we can hang out at Hogan's Run a little bit! I am thinking dinner will be inside instead of out! 😔
I'm going to make a 2 part plan today. Now until lunch and after lunch until 5. I will only make the first plan so that I can make the second plan easier (maybe I'll get more done than I think I will! I will start at 8 and will use this house work as part of my quidditch. I know they say not normal housework, but I'm cleaning back to front in a matter of hours, so I feel like that's not normal housework? What is your thought? I want to be fair, for sure!
Scott's got his list too! He's got a piece of wall board that needs to go up (only been waiting 15 years for it and the material is in Hogan's Run, so now he HAS to do it!), We got him a new grill last night- it was on sale and it seems his current one is on it's last leg (I didn't know the wheels had been melted off! hahahaha), so he needs to put that together, he needs to clean the bar and yard, so he's got a hefty list as well!

Woooohoooooo, go Jenny goo!! Yea, absolutely, non-routine housework counts. And if you're jamming and getting your heart rate up, it's def a cardio workout. Functional exercise is my favorite kind :D.
NOT hot at all here today! Windows back open in the bedroom. It was actually cooler in the rest of the house when we got up this morning! It's a brief dip tho, hotter weather is coming back this weekend. I'm going to use the cool day today as a shepherd's pie day for Hogwarts :D. I asked Eric if he was interested in shepherd's pie on Wed, he said NOOOOO no hot food in this swelter :p.
I got to PF yesterday, did 40 min PTEs, 27 min spinning, but no ST. Knee wasn't ready for it. I only got 3.5 miles on the bike in that time, too, instead of the usual 5 miles :/. ST today or tomorrow, not sure yet, I'll make up the other 1.5 miles then.

Dishwasher running with additional bottles LOL I think we may have a problem! It's got other things in there too, but mostly water bottles. I like to make sure and get them all run through the DW before friends come, so they can just pull a bottle from the fridge.

I just ordered a Centerville Pie Co Shepherd's Pie from my grocery store, with a couple cans of peas & diced carrots to add to it. Looks delicious, and oh so easy!! :D. Pick up at 2p. Wonder if it'll be ready today :/.

(That's disappointing that Clear is just regurgitating his book. Eric said the worst class he ever had was a Calculus class that used a textbook written by the prof - dude literally just spit back out what he wrote in the book.)

They say third times a charm, I hope so! I keep hitting a button and losing all my edits! It always seems to happen on the word Progress, so hopefully not this time!
Lunch check in! I'm really proud of my progress today! I will figure out next list while I'm enjoying lunch. Scott is almost done with the grill, it's been a real bugger, but I'm glad he has something to work on so I don't get frustrated with him not helping with the house stuff! LOL yeah, I am that person….
I also got all the towels washed, dryer just went off. It was a lot of kitchen towels, so just wanted them done for today, ya know?

Well, there was more than I thought! Folded the blankets and put them where they belong, dealt with some bags of stuff in there, found a million and one socks of Scotts so they are in the hamper, dusted the couch- black pleather is unforgiving! It's ready for vacuuming! I'm not dusting in there today, but I do see where I need to!

After listening to the end of the podcast, sounds like it was a press junket for the release of his book, so maybe that's why….?
