Updates!!!! Feeling pretty productive, even though not much done! I'm listening to 12 rules for life and yesterday's listen said "don't compare to yesterday or worry about tomorrow, just make today better than yesterday" so, I'm happy with what I've accomplished while "working".

    Today's list:

    1. Make a plan for the next 3 weeks to accomplish my between terms tasks (done)
    2. wash sheets/make bed
    3. 2 loads of laundry (so 3 total)
    4. fill water bottles
    5. clean off counters
    6. Clean off bathroom counter
    7. clean off table, take stuff to bar shed/camper
    8. Strength training
    9. Walk at lunch
    10. Walk after work
    11. Dishwasher

Well done! (And that sounds lije a good listen!)

I switched up my plan. I'm in the middle of making a big vat of bfast scramble/casserole. Fifteen servings -

    • 3 lbs new potatoes (red, & Yukon gold)
    • 2 lbs yellow onions
    • 1 lb sweet mini peppers
    • 1 large yellow bell pepper
    • 1 lb thick sliced bacon
    • 3/4 lb garlic sausage
    • 1 lb ham steak
    • 30 eggs
    • 30 oz half & hair (usually of milk, but I have a bunch to use up).
    • 1/4 cup+ olive oil
    • 1 tbsp+ black pepper

I was debating cottage cheese, but I'll leave it out. Can always add cheese or cottage cheese when reheating.

I usually wouldn't have all those high fat meats in there, but Eric wanted them .

Lots of chopping and dicing! Long time to cook, I think I'm on my 4th 45 min timer. (First potatoes, then onions added, then bacon & sausage added, then peppers & ham steak - check that, I'm on my 5th 45-min timer ).

Next one will be mix up (I've just been layering). Then eggs & dairy, finally

OOOOH that sounds yummy!!!! I think Eric and I could be friends! I love fatty meats! :) Which reminds me, I need to make some bacon today!

Already up and at it! Forced us to go to bed early (8:30ish) and I slept straight through to 5:30! sleep score was 86! The day before it was 58, so MUCH needed! Yesterday we took 2 walks, and the after work longer walk was cut a little short because Scott had not properly hydrated during the day and we didn't have water with us. So, I got 2.5 miles in at lunch, then we got 4.2 miles in after work! :) Look at us go! He seems to have gotten some determination, and I'm so here for it! now to figure out how we can easily take hydration with us without having to carry a bottle….. Pondering things I've given away… rofl oh well!

Already have lights in the washer, towels ready to fold (from last week! LOL) Darks waiting for their turn. I have the dishwasher unloaded as well! Wheeeeee Will be taking my supplements with creatine/electrolyte water in a few minutes

    List for today:

    1. Find a bottle carrier or something for long walks
    2. take stuff to Hogan's Run bar, now that I know where the key is!
    3. wash sheets (didn't do it yesterday! ugh)
    4. pick up family room
    5. Clean counters
    6. sweep/vacuum

List may grow as the day goes, but looks good for now!

Culinary adventures, sharing! I took pix step by step, I'll dig them up & post.

    PXL_20250604_180434980.jpg

    Steps 1. & 2.) 14:04

    - 3 lbs new potatoes (1/2 red, & 1/2 Yukon gold), 45 mins after cooking in cast iron skillet at 325F, in oven. I put them in an olive oiled pan (whole), sprayed the top with more olive oil, then sprinkled liberally with organic black pepper. I cut the potatoes after 45 mins cooking (softer then!). Added 2 lbs of diced yellow onions on top, sprayed again with olive oil, and sprinkled again with more black pepper. No mixing, layering.

    PXL_20250604_190233052.jpg

    Step 3.) 15:02

    - 2 lbs diced yellow onions atop the cut new potatoes, after 45 mins in the oven (same temp)

    PXL_20250604_190517268.jpg

    Step 4.) 15:05

    - 1 lb thick sliced bacon, chopped, & 3/4 lb garlic sausage, also chopped, layered on top (no mixing), back in the oven! (same temp)

    PXL_20250604_200759235.jpg

progress pic! 16:07 - bacon and sausage kinda cooked! time for next layer, and then back in the oven …

    PXL_20250604_202906905.jpg

    Step 5.) 16:08

    - 1 lb ham steak, diced. Layered … back in the oven (same temp, still)

    PXL_20250604_202906905.jpg

progress pic! 16:29 - ham came pre-cooked, so no worries on the cooking time. But, kinda browned! time for next layer, and then back in the oven …

    PXL_20250604_202952640.jpg

    Step 6.) 16:29

    - 1 lb sweet mini peppers, stems removed, but not de-seeded (why throw those nutrient powerhouses away!), then diced. Layer on top …

    PXL_20250604_203032298.jpg

16:30 … added one 'past its prime, but not yet bad!' large yellow bell pepper - also stems removed, but not de-seeded! - need to add more olive oil and black pepper …

    PXL_20250604_203130586.jpg

16:31 … sprayed with olive oil, not mixed!, back in the oven (same temp)

    PXL_20250604_215212015.jpg

progress pic! 17:52 - Looking good! Nice charring at the edges. Time for eggs and dairy!

    PXL_20250604_215931110.MP.jpg

    17:59 … 30 eggs (!)

    PXL_20250604_220212287.jpg

    18:02 … 30 eggs, mixed!

    PXL_20250604_220651902.MP.jpg

18:06 … 30 oz half & haif (usually lf milk, but I have a bunch to use up).

    PXL_20250604_222645133.jpg

progress pic! 18:26 - Out of the oven, and all mixed up for the first time. Looks good …. except …. gonna need a bigger vessel 😆

    PXL_20250604_223531693.jpg

Step 7.) 18:35 eggs and dairy and veg and meat, all in one vessel! back in the oven … same temp

    PXL_20250604_234700270.jpg

Step 8.) 19:47 Out of the oven! Finally done :).

I should add, I did have it out of the oven one time in between 18:35 and 19:47, mixed it all up, and put it back in.

Mix it up again! … portion out to fifteen servings …

    PXL_20250604_235745663.MP.jpg

Step 9.) 19:57 Time to eat!

    Nutritional info - As pictured:

    • 500 calories
    • 26g net carbs
    • 28g fat
    • 32g protein

Nutritional info - WITH (not pictured) 1 slice of Trader Joe's Organic Seeded Bread, and 1 tsp butter:

    • 673 calories
    • 43g net carbs
    • 37g fat
    • 38g protein

This is obviously HIGHLY customizable. You can make it

    • lower fat by using a different dairy (or even vegan) milk, using lower fat meats (or none at all).
    • spiced differently. I'd have added smoked paprika if it was just for me, but I can add that during reheating (add a splash of liquid of your choice, and whatever mods you want to add, then zap in microwave)
    • cheesy! hubby always adds some kind of cheese during re-heating, usually cheddar. Sometimes I add cottage cheese during cooking, but not this time. For such a big batch, I wasn't sure if we'd both want that every time, so I can just add a serving to mix in during reheating, if wanted.

❗️ Add a side serving of greens, with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, or coconut vinegar, if you want to get some green in, too.

Now, this might look like breakfast, but it's a fine dinner, too! And as from looking at the time stamps, you can see that this is exactly what we did - yummy dinner!

List is looking good, Jen! oooo, loving the initiative and inspo Scott is giving you! That's super awesome 😎😍

This morning I had a dermatologist appt/full body check. Pre-cancerous spot under my left eye zapped. Third or fourth time for that spot. (Over a 10+ yr time frame). Got a basal cell (or, suspected basal cell) spot on my back biopsied. Have had two of those spots removed previously.

I hit Planet Fitness on the way home. Gym day! I did just the bike today (5 mi), skipped going upstairs for weight machines tho. I want to get in a PT exercises sesh today, and if I do ST at PF plus bike, I never get to PT at home :p, soooo …..

OMG the guy on the bike next to me was a beast! When I clocked my 5 mi, and packed up to leave, he was just crossing 30 miles, and 90 mins. And not an easy ride, no, he was doing level 24, 20, 15, back up to 23, it was impressive as hell. I bought a water before I left, and gave it to him (he didn't have a water bottle with him). I think I startled him (he had headphones on), but he recovered and smiled when I told him it was super impressive!

Weather-wise, It's summer today in Maine. Back to 65F and rain for Saturday, tho :-p Considering my plan for today. Not sure ….

Gotta get PT tho, that's for sure.

Oh yayyy! Just got a call back from Orthopedic Surgeon's office, approval for 3-shot visco supplementation for left knee approved:

    • Jun 23 07:15 - appt check in, for 07:30 right knee x-ray
    • Jun 23 08:00 - 09:00, left knee injection #1/3, and right knee exam
    • Jul 1 14:30 - left knee injection #2/3
    • Jul 7 14:00 - left knee injection #3/3

Right knee visco supplementation has to have an exam first, so they can't give me an injection until it's examined and approved first (why they can't use MRI and xrays from 1st injury in 2019 I do not know), but I'm glad I finally made the call and got the ball rolling.

I have had the 3-shot visco supp injection series on my right knee, in 2019. And the 1-shot visco supp injection on my left knee in 2024, previously. The knees had different injuries and levels of arthritis, so it's not a fair comparison between the two, but I got lasting relief from the 3-shot series in 2019, and I'm not sure if I got any lasting relief at all from the 1-shot injection in 2024, so I'm glad I'll be getting the 3-shot series. No cortisone shot, b/c that is not helpful at all.

Ok, now my mouth is watering! That looks DELISH! I really need to do some of that too! Will think on it for next week!

Good on you for the dermatologist! I really need to do that, and get Scott in too (he had a-typical melanoma removed 20 years ago?) WTG on PF! That was really sweet of you to do that for him! And you were right, he is a BEAST!

I got my lunch walk done, even though Scott couldn't do it with me (he had to go in to pickup expensive hardware and securely store it). Chugging down water- some with salt- I really need to hydrate better today. I'm doing good on water (I think I'm on cup 10 by now), but walking outside is really sweaty and I really need to increase it. BTW, the shirt I'm wearing I haven't worn in 2+ years!

    List for today:

    1. Find a bottle carrier or something for long walks - I got this one (Tan for me, Black for Scott) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D4H1XYCP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
    2. take stuff to Hogan's Run bar, now that I know where the key is! - The bar napkins came in today as part of Scott's Father's day present! I'm so excited!
    3. wash sheets (didn't do it yesterday! ugh)
    4. pick up family room
    5. Clean counters
    6. sweep/vacuum
    7. Fold towels/put away
    8. wash/fold/put away lights
    9. Wash darks - first of 2 loads are in the wash

omg … those Hogan's Run napkins are flipping awesome !!! LOVE SO MUCH !! Also, you look adorable, and I absolutely dig the t-shirt.

Yea, you guys have that same Irish skin that I have, don't you? Dermatologist is not optional, lol.

Great job on the walking and the water !!

PS - it WAS delish! I may not have 'wanted' all those high fat meats in there, but Eric was right, it sure made it yummy! :D Can't wait to eat it again today.

    Ooooffff .... So tired!

Postponed (again!) PT. Already showered and jammies. Washer just buzzed - going to hang lol. Dryer just buzzed too, night leave that for TMO. I strategically only put non-wrinkly things in ... Just in case ;-)

Good morning, Happy Friday ! Made my 10k steps yesterday (10,178). Made my sleep goal, too! Asleep before midnight (23:45), got my 7.5 hrs (7h 56m!), and had a good sleep (sleep score 87!).

Def have PT on the agenda today, and have some folding to do (put that lol in dryer last night, heh, plus more hanging that needs to go through a dryer cycle to soften and de-wrinkle). We shall see about the rest.

Happy Friday!!! WTG on your steps and sleep goal! Get that PT done today!!!!

Work was semi busy this morning and my head is just not in the game! LOL Today we found out the migration is on pause with no date identified yet. Rain at lunch ruined our lunch walk plans, so we'll have to get one after work! Scott's got 50 hours in already, so I'm forcing him off at 4!

I got my menu planned for next week, which I'm very happy about! I'm going to do a mini challenge for the week since it's the last full week before vacation.

I haven't done squat today, had to deal with stinky darks! DANGIT!!!! but other than that… not doing near enough around here! :)

  • mkksemail
    mkksemail Posts: 4,131 Member

Is that good, or bad news, about the migration being on pause? (fingers crossed!)

    WTG menu planning!

Friday cardio - 51 min walk, shop, & ruck! 🏃‍♀️🛒🏃‍♀️🎒

I walked to my local supermarket, walked a lap around the edges of the store, picking up bananas, feta, and eggs, checked out, and 'rucked' (ie used my re-usable shopping bag as a makeshift backpack, with the handles slung over my shoulders) home 😎. 16z of water after getting back home 💦

This turned out to be more of an adventure than planned ;-). And Flylady saved the day for me, lol. As soon as I walked in the store, and entered the produce dept, I realized I had no wallet with me! Eeeekk !! Asked if they take Google Pay, produce kid said check up front. So, I checked up front, the front end mgr said, yes, I think we have Google Pay, let's try it. So …. we tried it, no luck. I'm watching a quick YouTube to figure it out. Yup, I have wallet. Yup, I have cards saved. Stiil no luck. The young man helped me sort it, got a card migrated to the right place, I put in the CVC code (cvc?), got the text auth back from my bank, good to go, right? NOPE the young man helped me do it, but couldn't get the reader to read my phone. Sigh.

I ask him to hold my stuff, and I'll come back with the car and my wallet. Head out the door, to the crosswalk, cross over, head down the walk path …. WAIT A MINUTE! My phone case is one of those wallet types. I don't have any cards in it, but I DID put an 'emergency 20' in there! Remember those Flylady notes, about keeping an emergency $20 in your car? I never gave up the practice. I actually had an 'emergency $42' in there, folded up in thirds. Two crisp ones, and two brand new $20s. Yesssss!

Went back, paid for my stuff, and rucked home ^ - ^

    Happy Saturday, J!

Saturday, bit of thunder going on here today, none of the three cats love it, but one in particular is terrified. Instead of hiding, tho, he wanders the hallways crying in the most pitiable manner. Poor Hoolie-cat!

Spent today setting up a PT tracker. I've just been using my sheets, but the last few weeks I've had a poor showing. My exercises are up to twelve, from six at first, then eight, so it's a bit of a trick to remember the full dozen when I've been sloughing off lately (trips out of town and knee swolls negatively impacted my diligence :p ). Getting back to it.

Hope you all are having a lovely day!

    Cheers!

    Good morning, Happy Sunday! 🙋‍♀️

No rain today, quite breezy, on the chill side. PT exercises on the agenda today, maybe a Planet Fitness visit, maybe a walk with hubby. We'll see :).

Hey Jenny! wishing you a happy Monday 🙋‍♀️.

I got my PT knees/legs exercises done yesterday. Working on the tracker this weekend helped me get my head on straight again, re: Pt exercises. There are two that were recently added that are suuuper painful to do, that combined with recent repeated swelling from away trips/rest recovery weeks, have had me gun-shy about doing them. I just did the two dreaded ones first, and got them out of the way (took almost 9 mins to do two sets of 10 each exercise, each leg (so, 80 reps total), for forward step downs, and lateral step downs. My MedbridgeGo app says the 12-exercise routine is a 23 min routine - nope! 44 mins (about usual, for me). 🤨

No Planet Fitness yesterday, so that'll be either today or tomorrow. I have to finish my ST by Tuesday, to get my exercise pts in another challenge. I ALSO need to actually *kitten* do a declutter session, both for points for that challenge's group challenge, and for that challenge's team challenge, so … double hit if I don't get at least ONE 15-min declutter session done :p.

    Enjoy your day! Cheers,

    ~ mk :)

Yeah, I've been quiet this week. Man I wish motivation didn't wax and wane so much!

NICE job on the Emergency $42!!! Need to keep on that PT!!! Even when it's swoll, it will help! <3

My house is a wreck. We leave in a week and a half for vacation, so it needs to be tip top shape by then! I mean, wreck may be an exaggeration, but it's not great…. LOL Good thing I'm on call this weekend, I finally have all the supplies to get my pantry sanded/painted/set up!

We got a walk at lunch, plan on it for tonight too. Will work on dishes tonight…. sigh… and I MUST face the smelly darks that have been hanging out since last week… :(

Hope your day is going well!

    Jenny !!!

I almost came to update yesterday, but you hadn't been here all week, so I skipped :p. Remind me, where are you headed for vaca?

    Anyway, ci! ~

Big achievement milestone on my weights circuits! The trainer at PF put together an Upper Body/Core circuit, and a Lower Body circuit for me, back in February. They all started at 40 lbs, except for the Hamstring Curl machine, which I could only do at 30 lbs without the pulldown of the weights with my legs causing my booty to scoot all the way forward on the seat of the machine :p. WELL, I've been intermittently drifting between 40lbs and 50lbs for almost all them, for the last couple mos, but yesterday I noticed, hey, these are really easy to do! I moved up to 60 lbs on all of them (and could have gone higher on a couple!), except for the Hamstring Curl (I maaaybe could have gone up to 40 lbs, but wasn't sure, so stuck with 30 lbs), and the Seated Leg Press, on which I started at 60 lbs, but after only 1 rep moved up to 80 lbs ! Look at that, my legs ARE getting stronger, even if my knees feel no different :).

It was cold yesterday, and rainy/overcast Sat, Sun, and Mon. Sun is out again today, and it's about 10F warmer, so … yay !

    Cheers~!

Oh! on the PT exercises - I just made this post in another group:

So-so week, in terms of checkboxes and weigh-ins, but feeling super uplifted, positive, and motivated, and feeling like my results aren't the full picture. They'll catch up with me, I'm sure! :D

Not sure why I never downloaded the MedBridgeGo app for my PT exercises (been doing them since Feb), but for whatever reason I downloaded it this rainy weekend, for my phone, and also logged in on my laptop. On my phone, all my exercises (12 of them) show up on 1 screen, as a playlist, so I took a screenshot of the playlist, and now I have an easier-to-glance at snapshot of the exercises, instead of flipping 8x11 page printouts. I like it better that way. The playlist is short vids for all the exercises. It says 23-min routine - hah! I never finish in under 45 minutes, now that the exercises are up to 12. I think the play list time is for just one leg, but other than squats, and the supine bridge, all of them have to be done 2 sets each, on each leg. Double legs, double time, that's the only thing I can figure :p.

I also, this rainy weekend, made a separate exercise tracker for the first time, instead of just having the exercise sesh's & daily step counts on my fitbit, or tracking Quidditch minutes at Hogwarts. Having a dedicated tracker really helped me with my freggie intake, I think having a dedicated tracker will also help me with my exercises - especially adding in flex and strength, which has been a 'goal' for 3 yrs now, but more like a notion of an idea of a possibility of an aspirational kind of sort of goal, rather than an actual achievable goal ;-). I guess I really just like geek trackers! 🤣

Anyway! feeling super positive, tho my Week 5 results don't actually support that ;-). On to Week 6 !!

    Cheers, ~ mk :)

Good morning! WTG on getting stronger! That's a big jump for all of them! AWESOME! Very inspiring! I really need to get back to using weights!

This weekend I lucked out and found a ton of bras in my size at WallyWorld for $3 each! I was wanting to get more so I can change them out daily. When we go on walks outside, they are just soaked by the time I get back. This way I can feel fresh daily!

We are doing a "world tour" for vacation- Friday- Sunday in Hot Springs, AK with mom/dad/Stacey and my uncle/aunt all their kids/grandkids, and another cousin and his family. I think they said there will be 20 people in a 10 bed/10 bath barndominium! Sunday we head for Florence, AL with mom/dad/Stacey until Wednesday, then head to Frankfort, KY until Sunday- just the 2 of us! I foresee lots of fun being had!

Today I have gotten dishes started, got the stinky darks in the dryer, and a fresh batch of darks in the wash.

    Today's list:

    1. catchup my trackers
    2. write a proposal for work- trying to get my boss to use one of my skills and trying to show him how valuable it can be to the team
    3. kitchen
    4. Dining room
    5. LinkedIn Learning for the AI course at work (that's when I'll work on the kitchen)
    6. Don't let the laundry get smelly again
    7. clean out the fridge- garbage day tomorrow and I've let too much go bad :( I'm so mad at the $$ I've wasted this week

Happy Thursday! Love the day plan, I feel your pain on the food waste (hate when I do that, speaking of which, I def need to cook those pork chops!), NO JOKE on the bra sweat, and wtg on the score!.

The 'World Tour' sounds so fantastic ! Enjoy Frankfurt and Florence! :D. And Hot Springs too, ofc !

Laundry, and cooking, and grocery store stop, and gym on the agenda here today.

    Cheers! ~ mk :)

Good morning! Not as productive yesterday as I wanted to be, but hey! I hit a lick at a snake, right? I got things done, so there's that. We didn't get a walk in yesterday, but we did do errands after work, so we ate later than usual.

Yesterday I was able to check all the meat and it didn't smell, so today I'm smoking the pork belly strips and pork tenderloin, and the chicken wings are in the oven! I also got my trackers caught up and my proposal completed and sent to the boss! I also do not have stinky clothes any more! the last load I had to do, I loaded it and did the delay wash thing, so it was running when I got up this morning! Sometimes I love this modern world we live in!

Mowers came yesterday and did our yard and our 2 neighbors for us. The guy across the street is in a home right now and may be moved to a more medical home because he's refusing to eat- may have to get a feeding tube. The neighbor next to him has been mowing his lawn, but he got home from the hospital Wednesday and had been in there almost a week due to an infection that wasn't healing (diabetes) and has come home with antibiotic IV that he has to do daily for several weeks :( These 2 houses have been owned by these guys since the late 70's early 80's. This is breaking my heart.

Vacation is in a week, talked to mom last night and we'll stay there Thursday night and leave from there Friday morning, so I have to get my plan set now to be ready to run to their house after work….We have a dinner with friends tomorrow night, not sure if we're going to see dad on Sunday. They haven't asked, and truly, I'm on call, so that's a good excuse, right?

    List for today:

    1. Get a walk at lunch!
    2. Go to the new thrift store and see if the bed frame is still available (OMG If it is…. $250 for a $1300 bed frame from Ashley furniture!).
    3. Kitchen
    4. Dining
    5. AI training
    6. Darks
    7. Towels
    8. Bathrooms

That's enough for now. Tonight I'll probably start on sanding the walls of the pantry so we can paint tomorrow…. cross fingers!!!

Great job !!!! And, ahh, well, you'll find a bedframe, a perfect one will turn up 😎.

Sorry forgot to check in last night. Got in my Planet Fitness weight circuits (upper/core, and lower), and a round of PTE - did 30 mins of the standing ones at the gym, after workout (8 exercises), and ~ 12 mins of the laying down ones at home, after (4 exercises). Feeling good that I got in PTEs this week already!

I went on a grocery run for a neighbor, picked up his online order. The store was near the gym, so I got in another PF visit, for the indoor bike this time (25:48min, 5.17 mi). My legs were tired today, so instead of level 5 for the whole thing, I used level 5, then 3, then finished with level 1 :p. Got my 5 miles in, tho! :D.

The last couple weeks I've been splitting the bike and weight workouts, instead of doing 1 big two-hr workout. Thinking that might work better, we'll see. Dryer lol yesterday, washer almost finished for today. Dryer load in, too.

Eric's off to Katie's Mon night for a week of pet-sitting. Contemplating doing a 5-day Prolon FMD next week. Haven't decided yet, tho. I might want to just do big decluttering, for which I'll need fuel, not fasting ;-). Not sure, I'll decide on Monday, probably. Could do the fast the week after, too.

OH MY GOODNESS it's it's raining again! :p Happy Saturday, our 17th straight rainy Saturday in a row!

Slept bleh (6h 2m, sl sc 75). Scale up 1.2 lbs from yesterday. Knees are tired. Feeling bleh. Tentative plans when I went to sleep last night were for a bonus weight circuit training at Planet Fitness, standing PTEs there (I don't know why, but I like doing them there better, actually, I do know why, there are weight plates that I can use for my forward and lateral lunges that are a much less painful/more comfortable height than steps). Not sure if I'll follow through or take a rest day. We'll see :p.

    Cheers! ~ mk :)

Oops, PS - despite the negative tone that may be conveying, still feeling positive! Quiet, content, contemplative, but postive <3

Happy Afternooon! It's been a busy day! We went to Lowe's and got the last of the materials we need to finish out the pantry, I did get it painted yesterday! I thought it would be more cream, but it's more butter cream! We do have a leaky (old) fridge, so trying to decide if we should get a new one (It's on a concrete floor, so no worries about damage).

Came home, had lunch, rested a little, then I got busy cooking for tonight's BBQ with friends. Made (by request of Scott) Chocolate mousse, cheese cake filling (he said I didn't need to put it in a crust this time), deviled eggs. Scott's making peanut butter cookies. LOL He's having a real sweet tooth lately. Glad it's all sugar free! About to head into the shower so I'm not a stinky, paint speckled friend! :)

Hope your knee is feeling better and I can see why you would rather do PT there. That makes sense to me! :)

Today was very productive! Scot worked on cutting the trim while I ran around getting a new to us trim nail gun and nails. He was putting up the shelfstringer thingies. Got the trim up, shelves up, and stayed moving stuff back in! I did work on the kitchen while he was installing the strips, so that’s looking better now!
Then we went to Costco and got a ribeye primal for dinner. I ended up cutting 15 steaks, put them in 2 steak packages, Scott cooked 2 for dinner and we decided to do steaks for the week to make life simple before we leave….

Now we’re relaxing because our feet are killing us!

Happy Monday! Big push this week before we go on our trip. We need front to back cleaning because we get home June 30 and will host July 4 for Scott's birthday with some friends. LOL I need to be methodical in how I do this because we are leaving after work Thursday so I have a lot to do!

Current plan (may change over the week)

    1. Monday-
      1. Our bedroom- change sheets, vacuum, dust - it's not too out of control
      2. My office- straighten desks, pick up floors
      3. Main Bathroom
      4. Get dishwasher soap
    2. Tuesday-
      1. Kitchen finish- it's mostly there, need to do appliances, take big stuff out of the island to the new pantry, re-organize the little appliances
      2. Dining room- Table, fridge, coffee station
      3. 2nd bathroom
    3. Wednesday
      1. Exercise room
      2. Theater room
      3. laundry
    4. Thursday
      1. Pack
      2. final vacuum
      3. litter boxes
      4. dining room wall (cats flick food onto it)
      5. clean water bowl

I think that's it. I'll get more granular in another post for today. I told Scott his main goal this week is to get his office clean, and I'll handle the rest of the house. He didn't seem to happy that I don't expect him to help much… but I know his abilities. I told him he could help with my stuff if he wanted to, but his office is a raging mess.

Ok, off to work- the place that pays me! :)
