Good afternoon! Yesterday was a COMPLETE Success! We got the bar shed up by 5pm, one guy came at 9, the second and his wife about 10:30, next 2 guys about 11. They got a rhythm going and got it knocked out! One guy over did it (he's on week 2 of radiation), but you could see he was so focused and excited to help!

Lunch was perfect (hamburgers, veggies, chips), and at the grocery I was able to get a whole prime rib roast (with bones) for $5.97/pound! I had the butcher cut off the bones for me, and then I made into steaks when I got home. Perfect! We have so much steak left! :) Most of it went into the freezer!

Our friends were already planning the next time they come over they want to do a pig roast! LOL I was just happy they wanted to come over again! :) I think one friend was very snoopy though. After she went to the bathroom in the main bathroom, I saw the closet door ajar, so I think she looked in there, then when she used the laundry bathroom it was taking her forever, so I went outside to check on the guys and it still took a long time for her to come out, so I assume she did a walk through of the entire house! LOL Oh well pretty funny!

Today we took 30 minutes and got the kitchen/outside cleaned back up. so the house feels wonderful right now! Open windows, just relaxing! I've got some exercises I still need to do for the individual challenge, and Scott and I might take a nice long walk outside! We have a couple people coming over to pick up stuff (neighbor taking our leftover carbs from yesterday, someone coming to buy our coffee table), and then we can jet!

I asked Grok to be our personal trainer and design a muscle building program for each of us. We have our plans we will implement this week! It's a 4 week plan, so I am excited to see what changes come!

Bar shed last night with some lights!

I can't believe I didn't post last night! wtheck!~ I was GRINNING from ear to ear, reading your post, Jenny! First of all - looks great. Really great.

But I know (speaking from the flybaby bleacher seats ;-) ), what an achievement this was. So. Damn. Proud. of you !!! Xx

Good morning, Happy Monday. Weekend here, Eric's probably going to sleep in for awhile yet. I think we have a lunch date with Katie, but not certain. (She's not that easy to plan with, lol). If not, maybe I'll see if Eric wants to go to for a movie date later.

Off to update my Freggie Tracker. I missed Arithmancy and Alchemy thread closing by 10 mins last week, so I'll try to hit it this week :).

ohhhh, ty for the comments you made, on the list event! made my heart smile 💜

Okay, Katie lunch date is NEXT Monday! Going to an early matinee with Eric (Accountant 2), and working on some shelves after. Unclear if it's hallway shelves or bathroom shelves, we'll see.

No, on any shelves. We went for a walk after the show, then an early dinner at a nearby restaurant. Another walk when we got home.

Took a big tumble on the 2nd walk of the day - skinned my forehead, cuts 2 places on my nose, skinned both palms, and 1 knee. Crash! I have no idea what I even tripped over. Bloody nose, and those can bleed. Straight in the shower once home (only a few blocks from home, thank goodness, we were headed home). Ice packing, tylenol, shower, hot protein tea - I'll live. No permanent damage ;-

15.5k steps today, plus a tumble. Gonna be sore tmo. :p

So sorry to hear about your crash! :( I hope you are feeling better today and not too sore! Sounds like you did a doozy! :( Good on the steps, but the tumble on top…. Epsom salt bath is in your future!

Good Morning! I started a message yesterday, I don't know what happened to it! LOL Well, I took yesterday as a rest day from housework., but today!!!! Gotta get back in the groove and get things picked up! I like having a clean house, it gives me more time for other things! I'm pulling habitica back up so I can get my habits going again. I put it down for a couple weeks with the final push for the house to get clean, so now it's time to upkeep and move forward with other things.

We had dinner at the bar shed last night… even took the bedroom TV out there and it works like a charm! I kind of like not having a TV in the bedroom, will see if Scott can handle it! LOL

ohhh, look at that! It's all decorated with pictures and everything, I love it !! So fun, dinner at the bar shed. And COOL on the tv!

Yea, still a bit sore today, but the swoll is gone from my forehead :).

And now it's time for a giggle with a side of healthy aging info :) 😅

What the heck is a fart walk? Why this practice is being hailed as the secret to healthy aging

Julia Musto Mon, April 28, 2025 at 3:49 PM EDT4 min read

    image.png

It may sound silly, but physicians say farting on the street following a meal can help to improve long-term health.

“Crop dusting” the patio, avenue or boardwalk can improve intestinal function, according to Dr. Tim Tiutan, an internal medicine physician at New York City’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

“Walking after meals does promote intestinal motility,” he explained in an Instagram Reel, “or movement of our intestines to get rid of gas and prevent constipation.”

Tiutan said that walking can help to prevent blood sugar spikes, regulate the hormone insulin better and lower the risk of cancer.

“I totally support fart walks,” he said.

So, why do “fart walks” help?

    Hellooooo, happy Wednesday!

Taking one more day for resting and icing. Def feeling less sore today. My hands are so itchy, particularly my right hand. The skinned palms are scabbing over/healing, it's just itchy while it does that :p.

LOL Fart Walks! Just what I needed to see today! Glad you are feeling less sore today, hopefully the itching stops soon!

The last 2 days!!! oh boy!!!! Tuesday afternoon work updated my computer and totally screwed it up. They worked for almost 4 hours Tuesday on it, and were supposed to work on it yesterday morning. All good. Until 4:30 when my sister texted (for the second time) that Mom had to go to the ER, she wasn't able to breathe very well. She had been to the urgent care that day for "a cold" and was given a z-pack and a shrug that they didn't really know what was going on. Well, turns out it was pneumonia. She was admitted to the hospital and will be there "a day or two" according to the doctor, so we're hoping she can come home tomorrow. So, I was there about 6:30, and had to take my work computer because…. they needed to work on it more. About 10 they started working on it and finally decided that it just needs to be replaced. So… I'm back home today to pick up my new laptop, back to mom and dad's to stay the night so I can go grab mom when it's time to bring her home.

    So, focus today:

    1. rewash darks (they got forgotten :( )
    2. make bed
    3. empty/reload dw (asked Scott to while I was gone…… sigh)
    4. fill water bottles
    5. clean counters (kitchen/bathrooms)
    6. Get another walk in before going to mom and dad's (only got 30 minutes with Scott)
  • mkksemail
    mkksemail Posts: 3,991 Member

oooooohhhhh, the Urgent Care mistook pneumonia for a cold? That's nuts! Still itchy today, but subsiding, thank goodness. I have crazy skin - two times in the last five yrs I ended up with a 7-wk full body rash, after burns to my fingers (once a steam burn, once a contact burn). I was starting to get worried about the itch. It's like I'm allergic to being skin-damaged :p.

omg on the work computer saga! They bricked your laptop from an update?!

Speaking of technology, I thought my Fitbit died yesterday. It went black on my wrist. I thought the battery wore out. Tried 2 different chargers, cleaning the contacts with alcohol, leaving it on the charger all day, nothing. I looked at my Fitbit app for some reason last night, and noticed the battery indicator say 59%. I screenshot it and sent it to Eric, with an exasperated message that my Fitbit hadn't even been out of battery when it went dark. He got up and went to look at the Fitbit again - pressed and held the button in for 20 seconds, and voila! it turned on. D'oh! Serious operator error there. Somehow the thing got turned off, while I was wearing it! It's been 'eating' about 3,500 steps a day since early Feb/late Jan, so I just assumed it died.

I briefly had a Pixel 3 Watch on order ($50 off Mother's Day sale), but cancelled it after Eric 'fixed' my Fitbit. :D

So glad your FitBit is still working! My sister said her 3 is dying quickly, so she might have to get a 4, and I think mom wants one as well.. Sorry it's been eating your steps! :( That sucks when you are doing challenges!!!

Pretty pleased with my progress today! I didn't get the darks washed, but I did get them dried and the washer cleaned (cycle). So, Saturday I'll get them moving!

    So, focus today:

    1. rewash darks (they got forgotten :( )
    2. make bed
    3. empty/reload dw (asked Scott to while I was gone…… sigh)
    4. fill water bottles
    5. clean counters (kitchen/bathrooms)
    6. Get another walk in before going to mom and dad's (only got 30 minutes with Scott)

I also got my laptop set up, old laptop is in the box ready to ship out after I tape it shut. I also set Jeeves back up (auto vacuum), so my floors are nice today! Wheeeee!

    Wheeeeeee, indeed !! wtg!!

Which Fitbit models do your peeps have, I wonder? Mine is the original Sense, I've had it since July '21. I'm sorry I don't have progress to post :(. My hands aren't usable for much the last few days. I feel like I'll be able to use them without much issue tomorrow, tho. They were too sensitive to touch/itchy yesterday and the day before, and still too raw on Monday. We were totally going to start those damn shelves on Sunday night too, dammit .🤬

Good Morning! They have the FitBit Versa (upgrading to 3?)

I'm back home for a couple days. Mom got released with oxygen yesterday. She's not happy she has to be on oxygen. She had pneumonia and has COPD, I'm surprised she hasn't been on it sooner, frankly. Dad is on oxygen at night (he has COPD too), and was on oxygen during the day for many months last year. Now she gets to see what he had to deal with. I love my mom, but she's very all about how she presents herself and she doesn't even want to go in public because she'll have an oxygen tank… because "I have Pride"…. as she says that right in front of my dad… 🙁She also likes to control when and how things get done around the house, so she thinks she's got to do it all. Dad told her she needs to let him do more… will see…..I pray she grows and learns from this experience, and is better able to empathize with what my dad has been going through the last year.

I'll have to go back Sunday night to get dad to an eye appt on Monday. May 19 (maybe, appt might be cancelled and rescheduled), 20 (dad's carpel tunnel and elbow nerve move surgery), and 21 (mom eye appt) I will be there as well. My husband is amazing and so supportive of all my time away. I am trying to plan now how I will manage exercise those days, because I really do need to prioritize my health. If I've learned anything over the last year of health issues with my parents, it's that I need to be strong and fit to live long and healthy. That's my why. In 1 week in the hospital last year my dad didn't have enough strength to walk and had to go to rehab and it's been a rollercoaster since. BTW, I live north of Nashville, they live south, so on a good traffic day it's 45 minutes to their house, but through rush hour traffic it's 1.5-2 hours, so that's why I go and stay with them.

Hope your hands are feeling better today! I'm so sorry you've had to deal with that! :( Time to get on those shelves this coming week!!!! I am on call this weekend, so will stick close to home. It's supposed to rain all day, so sounds like the perfect day to start decluttering closets, since the rest of the house is clean! Wheeee :) Well, mostly clean ;)

    Plan for the weekend:

    1. 14,800 steps (need to today and tomorrow to reach my step goal/unbreakable vow goal)
    2. Make Bed (Scott's still in it, but he made it yesterday while I was gone! yay!)
    3. Finally re-wash darks
    4. Wash lights
    5. Run Jeeves daily
    6. Mop all floors (finally)
    7. Clean my dresser top
    8. Move folding chairs/table to bar shed
    9. Declutter my closet
    10. Clean bathrooms
    11. Measure pantry for shelves/plan layout (I wonder if I can get Scott to actually go buy the shelves and put them up! That will be our stretch goal, that would make a lot of things easier if he could!)

Good morning! I was thinking about you and your Mom as I was winding down last night, when I realized I hadn't checked in to here. Hugs and a prayer, and welcome home <3. Will your Mom be on oxygen just during her recovery from pneumonia? or from now on? That's not comfortable, I recall from when my Mom was sick. Your Dad sounds like a sweet man, really really sweet 💙.

Yea, hope so, on the hands! I was really worried yesterday, b/c my face (around the scrape on my forehead, and the two cuts on my nose) were starting to get splotchy and dotsy - the red hive-like spots and the bumpty pox-like spots that herald a bad rash outbreak, and all, hands, knee, and face were super-lit up with itch and relief everytime I took a shower. When I'm 'rashing' the hotter the water, the better, it's one of the only things to bring relief from the itching. Literature says warm water makes you itchier, couldn't disagree more. Anyway, turned a corner this morning. The hives are gone from my face, the spots take longer to go away, but neither my hands nor my face lit up this morning when washing up during morning routine.

I don't like 'talking' a lot when I'm challenged or sick or whatever, bc it feels too much like whining. But yea, I'll be getting on those shelves this week! Xx

OOOOOOOoooooo, closet decluttering! Amazing! Go for it, girl !

oh my goodness! I’ve never heard of that! I wonder if you have underlying allergies you don’t know about. I had in the past when my allergies were severe dysgraphia- you can scratch your arm and hives and redness will come up. Maybe try some allergy medicine?

I feel ya about taking, putting all that out this morning just felt like I was oversharing, ya know?

First walk is done, darks are washing, Jeeves is on the clock, we’re watch Dr Berry and Dr Unwin talk about diabetes reversal, then I’ll get my strength training done!

  • mkksemail
    mkksemail Posts: 3,991 Member

Ahhh, no I didn't mean oversharing (and you def didn't overshare! Xx), I meant more like, ahh, do you know the Irish saying about 'craic', 'match the craic in the room', or don't bring the craic down'. I meant, when people are getting stuff DONE, like you are (goooo Jennywren!) I don't like to lower the craic by whining about whatever is standing in my way/impeding me. If that makes sense?

And yes, I'm def allergic to something, but I have no idea what. I've had, um, five major rash/hive/poxlike/long-term outbreaks in my life. Two growing up, one in my 20s, and two in the last five yrs. I don't use products, no makeup, don't switch soaps, laundry detergents, etc, b/c I never know what's going to cause a problem.

I took some photos after I read your post. They're NOT flattering, lol, and I'm not sure if you can really see the hives/pox, bc the hive-ish ones were starting to fade when I woke this morning (thank goodness!), and the pox-ish ones are also fading, and blending with my freckles. Anyway, just below the edge of my eyebrow was a large-ish hive last night, you can kinda see it still. And around my nose, too, as the nose cuts heal. I'm def putting them inline / as tiny photos bc they ain't purty! heh.

The first three are the morning after the fall (Tues morning), the last four are just a couple mins ago.

    • Tues morning (~ 15 hrs after the fall):
    • PXL_20250429_135431147.MP.jpg PXL_20250429_135433301.jpg PXL_20250429_142002166.MP.jpg

    • Sat afternoon (5 days later):
    • PXL_20250503_190928017.jpg PXL_20250503_190947872.jpg PXL_20250503_191007188.jpg PXL_20250503_191026557.jpg

Not a bad idea, on the allergy medicine! I didn't think of it, bc I've been using Tylenol PM fairly liberally the last 5 days (it has Benadryl in it), and Bacitracin (can't use Neosporin). But I have Zyrtec! Imma take one now .🙏

Oh goodness, I don't care if you are sharing about your struggles while I'm getting things done! I'm here to support you, and if you don't share, I can't support! I won't look down on you because you are struggling. I hope you don't take my posting updates as sticking it in your face, because I'm just trying to hold myself accountable to reach my goals, and that's why I share…. without your support I wouldn't have been able to accomplish near as much as I have so far this year!

Wow! you did yourself good on that fall! I'm so surprised about the hives/bumps! Because of my severe allergies, that's why I eat whole foods 99% of the time and at home most of the time. I wonder if you do an elimination diet and then add foods back to see what makes you feel bad, if that might help identify what you react to?

    Plan for the weekend:

    1. 14,800 steps (need to today and tomorrow to reach my step goal/unbreakable vow goal)- Currently at 9200 steps. Looking forward to my second walk in a bit. Blood sugar is 86 right now! yay!!!!
    2. Make Bed (Scott's still in it, but he made it yesterday while I was gone! yay!)- will make this in a minute… LOL when we'll be back in it in 5 or 6 hours! sigh…
    3. Finally re-wash darks- washed, will move to dryer in a minute
    4. Wash lights
    5. Run Jeeves daily- done for today
    6. Mop all floors (finally)
    7. Clean my dresser top
    8. Move folding chairs/table to bar shed- too wet in the yard to do this today, hopefully tomorrow
    9. Declutter my closet- I think this is a stretch goal as well! LOL
    10. Clean bathrooms
    11. Measure pantry for shelves/plan layout (I wonder if I can get Scott to actually go buy the shelves and put them up! That will be our stretch goal, that would make a lot of things easier if he could!)- we are starting to talk about it, and we should probably paint in there before putting up shelves, so not a weekend project, but maybe a couple weekends

wooohoo! Scott told me to get on FB Marketplace to look for shelves for the pantry and we found them right away! We are saving almost $500! Scott will go pick them up tomorrow around 10. That will change some of my focus. Next weekend we are doing a short trip (Friday/Sat night at a hotel, Dollywood on Saturday, home Sunday morning), so I don't want to start pulling stuff out of the pantry until we are ready to work on it. The good part? When it was created 15 years ago (after the flood) it wasn't painted inside, so we can still see where all the studs are! wheeee! That will make a lot of the project much easier! Now, to find my paint I swear I have around here and see if I can still use it ;)

Heading to walk #2 in 30 minutes, just got done eating

Oh no, on feeling anything negative in regards to your posts, they're so inspiring and uplifting! I love how you continue to move forward and stack achievements, despite any struggles !

COOL on the pantry shelving! I'm so excited about that. LOL we flybabies do love organizational projects, don't we? lol

I'm going away next weekend too. My brother-in-law's Mom passed on Friday. She was 95! She's had dementia for a long while now. But she was happy every day. Always smiling! She'd lived in an apartment over my sister's garage for mmmm, 20 yrs maybe? Not sure when they created that apt, tbh. My Mom lived there too, the last yr of her life. Anyway, my 2nd sister had just called last week asking if I'd come that weekend, for Mother's Day. I declined bc I wasn't game for traveling, but well, life has a funny way about it, doesn't it. They're having wake on Friday, funeral mass and burial on Saturday. Eric's working, he said he could get off bc of funeral, but he's going to stay home with kitties instead. Looked into train ticket (so much more comfortable than plane!), but it's also so much more expensive than flight :p. Haven't finalized yet, still dithering about when to go/return. Soft-settling on Fri - Mon. Kinda wanted to come home Sat after service, or Sunday morning, but well, there will be a big Mother's Day gathering bc everyone coming in for funeral, so no can do, on cutting out, I guess.

Hope my face continues to de-rashify! :p

Bought my tix to NY earlier. Fri am to Mon am. American Airlines flight. Took forever to give up on trying to reclaim my old AAdvantage number, couldn't hit on the correct combo of name and email. I never know if my name is Mary MaryK MaryKatharine Mary Katharine or MK :p. Mary is the least 'my name' but it's often what ends up printed on tickets, as my passport says Mary Katharine. But my driver's license says MaryK. or maybe Mary K. ugh. 'name issues'. lol

Sorry I’ve been MIA today….. Seems what mom/Stacey had has hit me! I woke up this morning with a sore throat and it’s still hanging around tonight. Just about to head to bed. At mom and dad’s tonight, will go home tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry to hear about BIL’s Mom… 95 is amazing! Though it will be a long weekend, it will be nice to be able to spend that time with family! Enjoy!!! Sorry about the friends dropping by, BTDT….. Hope the plates made it with out any chips/breaks! LOL about the name issues, how confusing for sure! :(

We did get all the stuff he had, saved about 50%, so I’m happy with that, we’ll have to buy a few extra things, but at least it helped bring the price down a little. I will get progress pics once we start working on it. Won’t be this weekend, and next weekend we will be busy Fri night/Saturday night, so… won’t be that weekend either! I think the weekend after that we might go to Dollywood again so we can hang with Hannah and Jonah, they didn’t get the time off for this coming weekend (I don’t think she realized it was mother’s day sunday, I didn’t realize it until today). So… may be a good month before we have time.

I did get a 1 hour walk in today watching church, backed my speed down but didn’t make my step goal for today (3000 shy). I’m sick so…. hopefully I feel better tomorrow!!!

Morning! Slept terrible last night, between 2 oxygen machines, dad’s coughing fits (5!) and talking/yelling, mom and Stacey talking in the night when mom would get up (Stacey slept on the couch, mom in the recliner because she sleeps better sitting up right now), my sore throat (and this morning coughing, stuffy/runny nose, and sneezing), weird dreams and a hard bed.. LOL

Plans for today: survive! LOL Did not get my morning walk ,but will be taking dad to the dr at 9. Will fast until dinner- my blood sugar didn’t like the dinner I had last night (pork chops, that was it), so I’ll follow my hunger cues. On days when I’m at my parents and know I’m going home after work I usually just fast until I get home. Makes it easier. I have a nice steak waiting for me at the house..

When I get home I’ll see if I have some chicken so I can make some soup over night.

Other than that, probably not much going on for me today

'morning! ohh, ugh on catching the bug! 🤧🤒😷 I think I missed it, were you at Mom's yesterday morning? Have you been there all weekend, or did you drive there while sick? :( You're so good to them, I hope they appreciate you :).

Congrats on the great find, with FB Marketplace shelving! And that's okay if the project waits until June, it sounds like you have a couple nice weekends planned. You've more than earned them! :) Your blood sugar could be elevated from being sick, too. I know Eric's bg does crazy things when he's ill. High bg is common with illness (but he does get crazy lows, too - maybe from over-bolusing on his insulin, chasing the highs, I don't know).

Working on this month's Amazon boxes this morning. Hopefully some shelves with Eric later. I think we may have a lunch date with Katie today, but not certain. I'll sort that soon.

Thankfully I’m just a little tired with minor symptoms right now and suspect they will be worse as the week goes on, Icame to their house last night- left home about 6pm. Wanted to hold off going until the last minute so I don’t get dad sick, mom’s on antibiotics, but he’s coughing really bad. Glad dad’s got a lung dr appt on Thursday Stacey will take him to. Stacey is the BIG help for them, since she lives with them (in her own apartment downstairs). I do what I can to help her.

Good to know I’m not crazy and the BS is probably is because of not feeling great (dang stress!).

Good luck with your boxes today! Tell me how many shelves you get done! Enjoy the lunch date with Katie if you have it!

Good morning! My cough has settled in my chest and I'm losing my voice! LOL Oh well! I'm going to focus on drinking lots of tea (Rooibos, lemon, ginger) and make some chicken soup. I have also added a few supplements to hopefully shore up my immune system!

I will take a slow walk today so I don't let things settle and turn into pneumonia like my mom had, and my dad now has a really bad cough…. this bug bit HARD. We have a fun weekend planned, so I'm looking forward to that, but probably won't be as active at Dollywood as we originally planned! :) I think I'm doomed to break my unbreakable vow all term! LOL

    Plans for today:

    1. slow walk after work
    2. dishes
    3. Hot bath after work

ohhh gosh, it sounds like a bad one! good plans on the slow walking, tea, and supps.

Projects STARTED yesterday! No shelves put up :p, however! Eric and I put in a good 7-8 hours on boxes and getting into the attic, to get the two short plastic cleaning products organizers stood back up (they were tilting :p), and then to get the cleaning products off the floor in front of my laundry area (alcove in the hallway, outside the bathroom), and the 4 Amazon boxes of bulk lysol bathroom cleaner, citrus all purpose cleaner, lestoil, resolve laundry spray, spray and wash laundry spray, and 1 6x vinegar and 3 9x vinegar bottles up there. Got the 6x vinegar split up into empty vinegar gallon bottles, and diluted with water, and the four vinegar/water spray bottles I use after showering and around sink areas filled up (that's been a minute since they've been filled!).

We also went through the May stack of Amazon boxes that arrived Saturday … because we missed the deadline to edit our monthly subscribe and save, and got a whoooollle bunch of crap we did not need. Processed 20 returns (they'll only take back non-food items). Got some Orgain, some crackling oat bran, some teas, and some nuts and seeds, and some cat food we didn't need (and can't return), but oh well. It'll keep.

And then, we went through those earlier Amazon boxes that I just couldn't make myself get to. Time to put a pause on most of the Amazon Subscribe and Save - if I can't even stand to open the boxes, I def don't need to buy the stuff, lol.

We filled up 1.5 no, 2!, of those big blue recycle trash bins. Do you have those there? The large ones, on wheels, that the trucks use mechanical arms to pick up and dump, instead of having the garbage men pick them up to dump?

The kitties explored the attic for the first time. This batch has never been up there! Our first batch used to go up all the time, exploring, as I often had the attic door open to get cleaning and laundry supplies :p. The feral brothers we were nervous about letting them up there, bc we weren't sure if they'd climb inside the walls, lol. And Fat Ralphie wasn't mobile enough - he was 22.5 lbs when Katie rescued him, so he couldn't climb the ladder to get there. He's more mobile now, at a svelte 16-ish lbs ;-), so we helped him go up yesterday. He had a BALL ! Surprisingly, only 1 of the 2 formerly-feral brothers went up there. He got himself lost, lol, he was in the part of the attic that is above an extension out the back, but forgot how he got there (crawl space hole in the main part of the attic). We put Ralphie back up there, and Hoolie stopped crying and found his way back out, lol.

Eric was going to help me for 90 mins before his shift today, on some bathroom stuff (new shower pole, etc), but we worked until 10:30p, and were both feeling the hours (him stiff, me swollen knee, sore heel, sore low back), so we skipped morning labor. He'll help me after his shift with the shower pole, etc.

I'll work on the bathroom shelves today, I guess. Finally! lol

I wish I took a picture of those Amazon stacks before we unboxed the crap. They were three floor to ceiling stacks! I only remembered to take a picture when I'd dug down to the bulk cleaning products that arrived quite awhile ago. I wonder if it was these cleaning products that made me so averse to wanting to open the Amazon boxes :p. It was a full shift of work for both of us, I knew it was gonna be a project :p.

Door/stairs/ladder to the attic - Ralphie needed help going up. Hoolie had NO problem. Chance was too scared, he hid, and never explored ;-).

Cleaning and laundry products - loose bottles off the floor, and bulk purchases out of their bulk boxes, and put away. These shelves are just up those half stairs, to the left, on a shelf space there, before the ladder.

Loose bottles on the floor! Bulk boxes never unpacked! bleh :p

Oh, PS! We did have a lunch date with Katie, but I stayed home/finished starting the returns on 20 of the Amazon products we were able to return, and Eric met up with her for lunch. He got some solo Dad time, which is good :). I had a solo lunch date with her last week. They went to a place called Maiz - Columbian street food. He brought me home some stuff, I never ate it tho, will have today. Actually, probably will split with him today, b/c it was a lot! A plantain entree, and a bean and chicken entree, forget what kind. Some kind of burrito, maybe? Not sure, it's more giant-burger shaped, than burrito shaped :p. Oh! looking at the menu, it was the 'Beans Please' entree, an Arepa. "arepa stuffed with cheese, black beans with corn, pico de gallo, and avocado. He ordered it with chicken added.

And a Plantain Madura - whole sweet plantain filled with cheese. I've tried to make that at home a few times, it's not nearly as good as the one Maiz makes!

Recycling bins in Portland. We filled up 1.5+ of those. Nope, Eric says both bins were pretty full. A little bit of room left in one of them, but not much.

LOL, my Fitbit couldn't sort out what I was doing yesterday. It logged 2 Mountain Biking workouts for me - 1 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon. Nothing at night tho, which is pretty interesting. That was the more strenuous part of the day (the gallon sized cleaning products, climbing stairs repeatedly, etc). We stopped just after 10:30p. Didn't work from 9:30a straight through, obvs, but a GOOOD chunk. 7-8 hrs, maybe?

Also, my Fitbit is on crack, or delusional! 😅 It says my Readiness is 100! (A pretty rare score). It has no notion of the aches and swolls yesterday inflicted :p. Got my knee braces on with dressing this morning. Didn't think to put them on until around 8p, last night.

And my sleep was 'okay', I guess. I mean, technically 'good', but 100 Readiness good!? I don't think so ! 😆
