Well, put the ask out yesterday, 1 of 4 couples has responded so far. wonk wonk. 1 is traveling, so I'll give them a couple days before I get sad :(

Yesterday afternoon went fast, didn't get a second walk in before leaving. We did fast until after the concert (It was GREAT! LOTS of new material!) and got some omelets at Waffle House! :) YUMMMMM

This weekend will be busy- I am on call, so usually use that as a deep clean weekend or declutter weekend. This weekend will be putting the firepit together that's been sitting in my exercise room for 2 weeks, get the TV hung in the "theater room" (lol Scott CAN'T call it a family room anymore! lol It's only like 10X10), get the couch moved out to the road, move the furniture around and vacuum in prep for the new couch we are getting next week from Amazon. We've been watching it for 2 months and yesterday the price was lower AND it had a $100 coupon! So….. bit the bullet because Hey! We just can't STOP spending money this week! SIGH!!!

Today's Plan(HOW is it already FRIDAY??!?!?!?!):

    1. Make bed (WHY is this so hard for me to do?)
    2. Mammogram and Liver ultrasound at 8:30-9. Last year both liver enzymes were high, ultrasound confirmed fatty liver. This year only one enzyme is slightly raised so hoping to hear some good news!
    3. Fold towels
    4. Fold darks
    5. Change sheets
    6. sw/sw bathrooms
    7. kitchen clean before bed

Wishing for a successful mammo and US! Don't be sad about the ask - that's awesome that 1 couple responded, you'll have a great time with the build, I bet. And you never know, 2 weeks is a long time, I bet as the date gets closer, you may get more answers.

Well, my bed is not made bc Eric is still in it :p. lol drizzly here today, and kinda dim light. Def feels like spring rain instead of winter crud, tho. Finally !

Happy Saturday! I woke up to snow up here in Maine (and it's still going on). Roofs, lawns, trees, all dressed in white. Just slushy mess on streets, so far, at least. Been a minute since I looked at the forecast (it's been so uninspiring, lol) so I had no idea this was even on deck. :p

Good Morning! Oh my on the snow! Sounds like you are excited about the snow? Right now I'm working on my "desk work" (updating Hogwarts, health tracker, Hogwarts tracker, here!) so that I can get going on House work. We were going to put together the firepit today, but high is only 59, but tomorrow 70ish, so we'll do it tomorrow! We are going to hang the tv today, though.

Going to start incorporating a new supplement today- Rhodiola Rosea. From Grok:

Rhodiola Rosea is a potent adaptogenic herb that helps the body manage stress by balancing cortisol levels and enhancing mental resilience. It boosts cognitive function, improving focus and memory, particularly during periods of fatigue or high mental demand. Additionally, it may elevate mood and energy levels, making it a valuable supplement for overall well-being.

I also asked Grok if it could help insulin resistance and there is potential due to how it balances cortisol which high cortisol can increase insulin resistance.

    Weekend List(so far):

    1. Hang TV (Project with Scott)
    2. Put together firepit
    3. List couch for free on FB Marketplace
    4. Fold darks
    5. Fold towels
    6. change sheets
    7. sw/sw bathroom
    8. Give aways to the car
    9. clean up exercise room

My Ultrahuman ring has many workouts available, and one is housework, so I put that on for about 45 min while I accomplished some things. Update:

    1. Hang TV (Project with Scott)
    2. Put together firepit
    3. List couch for free on FB Marketplace
    4. Fold darks
    5. Fold towels
    6. change sheets
    7. sw/sw bathroom
    8. Give aways to the car
    9. clean up exercise room
    10. Empty DW (Scott!)
    11. Wipe down counters
    12. pick up table
    13. cook bacon

Today went a little sideways, but in the end it was good. I didn’t expect such a response so quickly from my FB Market Place post about our couch. We had it gone in about 3 hours. Dude forgot the feet, but his profile is private so I can’t even message him…😖

Scott checked tracking and our new couch comes Monday…. Here’s how we’re standing…. kinda nice to have the empty space right now…. Will post update pics after the new couch is set up

Good morning, Happy Sunday!! That looks GREAT !!!

I can't believe I forgot to post again yesterday. NO not happy about the snow. I'm over it after the first half dozen or so ;-). I love that your device has a Housework exercise setting. My Fitbit has GOLF, ffs, but not shoveling, raking, vacuuming, or any kind of housework - light, or heavy.

I didn't get much housework done this week. Next week's going to have to be a different story.

Sorry I was quiet today! I struggled with my asthma last night so I didn't sleep well, and this morning I still felt pretty yuck. It was the dust in the family room that got me.

Today I did a 30 min walk, but it was all I could do because of the asthma. We did get the firepit put together and a fire in it!

No worries, I've been unintentionally quiet-ish for a few days. It was almost not wintery today :p. But not nice weather. Eric and I went for a drizzly walk through a rail trail / woods/forest path. I was grateful he suggested it. I love 'forest bathing', even if it was drizzly. NOT snowing!

I have over 3 dozen notifications to catch up on.

Tmo we have to do the taxes, too. I'll try to be more present this week. I'm not spending my computer time with ChatGPT at least. The fire pit looks lovely, and I wish I could join you for a fire. I'm sorry you didn't feel well today :-(.

Gotta go do my Turkish quick, before my 'screens off' alarm goes off. (I don't think I'm going to make it).

    Xx

Morning! Feeling renewed vigor, focus, and motivation this morning! I wonder if it's a side effect of my new supplement (Rhodiola Rosea)

Rhodiola Rosea may enhance mental clarity, reduce fatigue, and improve mood by acting as an adaptogen to help the body manage stress. Potential side effects include mild dizziness, dry mouth, or overstimulation, particularly at higher doses. Research suggests benefits for anxiety and depression, but individual responses vary,

    Today's Plan:

    1. make bed (WHY don't I do this right as we get up, oh that's right, we slept in accidentally this morning and had about 20 minutes to get our eyes facing forward before we had to log in! LOL)
    2. SW/SW bathroom- Yes, still on the list sigh
    3. water bottles (we go through so many a day, hard to keep up with refilling some days!)
    4. Couch comes today, so set it up! :)
    5. Clean off table (such a hotspot!)
    6. Devotional/Prayer list
    7. Lunchtime zoom with client

I think that's it so far for today!

Good morning 🕗🌅🌄 Love that '20 mins to get our eyes facing forward', lol such a chuckling-ish sort of turn of phrase 🤩. Interesting on the supp - hopefully it's continue! I'm not sure what exactly I did to the bottom of my foot on that walk yesterday, but a couple hours after getting home it started to ache, and a couple hours after that I couldn't even step on the ball of my foot. ow ow ow ow owwwww …. I used the massager on it for about 10 mins, which was both helpful and sometimes painful. Thought it fixed it, but nope, still couldn't step on it when I got up to walk a bit later. It's walkable today tho, thank goodness. Tender, but walkable. Never had anything like it happen! I didn't even know you could pull a muscle in your heel, or whatever the heck I did.

I woke up late too. But my late is wayy later than your late :p. I didn't get to sleep until 2:40 - booo, I'd been doing so well, working on that midnight thing. Was asleep by 23:35 Saturday night (23:35-07:39, 7h 2m, sc 84/good)! Stupid foot, followed by a bunch of late night snacking unraveled me last night. I reaaaallly have to pay attention to not screwing with nighttime routine, bc my night owl will break out her freak flag and fly until the sun comes up, if I do! Clocked 02:40-10:05, 6h 28m, sc 79/fair last night. Woke up a few times with a whimper from swollen knee, or cramped heel. blah! Putting it all in the rearview - new day! Not snowing and NOT raining!

Taxes later today. Protein tea now. Did make bed 🛌😇;-). Didn't make it Fri and Sat tho 😜. I swear I don't keep an eye on your undone stuff on your list. It was just that one week, my eye was caught by the tablecloth task, b/c my table was - and still is - a damn shitshow.

Well, DAMNIT!!! They sent us the wrong set- a 2-seat recliner loveseat instead of a 4-seat recliner couch! I'm SO MAD!!!!! We have a claim with Amazon, we have to wait "24-48 hours" for the seller to respond before we get an answer! UGH!!!! Guess the boxes go in the empty room for now! bahhhhhh

Edited to add: Seller responded right back and looks like we are getting 2 more boxes tomorrow! yayay! That means we CAN set up what we have right now! wheeeeee

Well, got the 2 chairs together last night so we could enjoy them before the last 2 come today! The massager was weird at first (a bit weak) but as it went along we decided we really liked it! Got my first walk in before work today! I really like doing it then, gets me started on the right foot, and I haven't done that in a long time. It meant changing my alarm to 5:30 instead of 6, though… LOL I did get the bed made, devotion done, and prayer journal done. I guess it's been a productive morning! I need to get the kitchen/dining room straightened up before 4, as the people that did the roof are coming over to survey how we think it went….

    List for today:

    1. SW/SW bathroom- Yes, still on the list sigh
    2. water bottles (we go through so many a day, hard to keep up with refilling some days!)
    3. Finish Couch Setup after our appointment
    4. Clean off table (such a hotspot!)
    5. dishes
    6. Do something with the huge boxes from the couch (there will be a total of 5 of them after the other 2 are delivered today!

Good morning! That's a great morning, Jen! I'm off to a very late start. Just doing morning checks now, and protein tea next. A friend was admitted to the hospital Sun night for a bunch of testing, we went to visit him last evening. He's got pneumonia and the flu, it turns out. And on the cardiac wing b/c he's being evaluated to see if he needs bypass surgery. He seemed in good spirits tho. We had a nice visit, and Eric played a game of cribbage with him :).

My foot that oddly started sharply paining me on Sun night is vastly improved this morning. Yesterday I was hobbling around with my LL Bean hiking stick, today, walking unassisted. Foot is still tender, but more of a ghost of a pain, then the real difficulty it was yesterday. This week is the end of my Functional Fitness Tuesdays Resistance Band, and Functional Fitness Thursday Stability Ball classes. Yesterday I was certain I couldn't go. Today, I'm not sure. It doesn't seem like the best idea, but it's the last week. It's a tossup, I'll probably decide at the last minute.

The chairs sound lovely. I was mulling it last night, as I read it - sounds like a modular system, that is very cool. 😎

Checking in! Did not go to Functional Fitness Tuesdays Resistance Bands class - I was flat out drained from walking through city and hospital , when I went to visit friend in hospital today. Super glad I have PT tmo, in a weird way. Want to ask PT what she think I might have done to my heel. :-p

Happy Thursday! Winter def over - opened 1 kitchen window for kitties again today (and they're delighted). Resting my knee and foot today. They are vastly improved from earlier in the week, I have to say. Not using the LL Bean hiking stick today :). Another quiet day, resting leg and working on computer.

How's the couch! Did they last 2 boxes arrive?

Hi! Sorry I was MIA yesterday and most of this morning! I stayed at mom and dad's wednesday night, worked from there yesterday and home about 6pm last night. I was feeling pretty yucky last night so I ate and went to bed early. Sleep score was 92, so I'm happy with that at least!

The last 2 boxes arrived and we put it all together. We are a little disappointed, we thought they would be recliners too, but they weren't :( boooo. It still looks nice, though!

Didn't get very much movement in yesterday. I was going to walk after I got home, but I felt so awful I just didn't think it would actually be safe to walk. I did get a lunch walk in and expect to get one after work as well! If the wind calms down- maybe outside. it's been SUUUUPER windy today!

I was wondering if your heel was feeling better, if the PT had any thoughts about it!

Tonight will be a rest night, tomorrow I hope we can get a long walk before we go to the Cake concert! We'll be meeting some of his D&D friends there, so that will be interesting… LOL Then Sunday to mom an dad's for Easter. Ham is pulled out of the freezer. I am working on crafting a new recipe remaking an old favorite! I hope it works!

Ok, heading back to work! I'll post a weekend list soon!

Ahhh, I was wondering if all was okay in Jennyville! Glad to see your smiling keyboard. PT said the heel sounded like plantar fasciitis. It's still tender (bruised? nothing visible), but it's walkable. NICE! on the sleep score! I rocked a 71 last night :p. Are you feeling poorly bc of all the big workout type jobs you and Scott have been doing in your free time? You've been burning the candle at both ends for a few weeks!

It's been busy! :) My sister warned me mom and dad had been fighting, and in the last year I have seen just how selfish mom is, and it really irritates me. So, when I got there Wed night, the same feeling was pervasive and had to have a direct conversation with them. Dad is able to express his feelings of being a "burden" (because that's how mom makes him feel, poor poor her, has to do everything for her now-disabled husband), and mom only cries and bites back instead of sharing her fears and disappointments. She won't let anyone help her either. So…. Thursday was fun with that dynamic. I think I was emotionally spent and I feel so bad for Stacey, she has to deal with them full time.

Tonight we went to go grab some groceries and our new tires had one at 12 pressure instead of 35. So, we had to go spend an hour at Costco(DARN!!! LOL). We got the tires there less than a month ago, and it had a screw in it, must have picked it up on my travels home from mom and dad. We spent way too much, but did some prepping for next weekend. Scott played D&D last night with the guys and neglected to tell me until we're walking around Costco that all the guys have committed to coming next Saturday to help with the bar shed. So, this will be a busy weekend cleaning up the stuff we've already cleaned up, so all we need to focus on during the work week is getting our offices clean. I'm really proud of us being able to do this.

AND, it seems the new roof may be doing better than we thought! Our house on hot days can get really heated up later in the night (go to bed and it's still 76-78). Today was a hot day (81), and we've had temps this high already with the typical 76 before bed. They added more vents to the roof edges and better ridge vents as well. Tonight we are cold and it's 73 in the house! If this holds, I'm a very happy home owner!

Ok, I will make a list tomorrow to get my head screwed on straight. One for weekend, one for week. I need to menu plan, figure out how long it's potentially going to take to put up the shed, etc. For tonight… I'm going to get into jammas and go to bed…. Nite!

Morning! I had a good weight loss this week for the challenge! I'm so excited! Down 3 pounds! This is one of my biggest weeks this year!

Looked at the 10-day forecast, may need to postpone the bar shed- it's supposed to rain all week and into the weekend :( Will have to make a call mid-week :( We will still move forward this weekend/week as if they are coming, then we have less prep when we CAN do it.

The concert tonight starts at 7. We tend to go to a certain place for dinner (less than 1 mile walk to the amphitheater) because they have free parking! :) So, yeah, have to spend for dinner, but not $20+ for parking AND dinner….

Plans for the weekend for me:

    1. Take give aways to Goodwill
    2. Clean coffee station top
    3. Clean main bathroom
    4. Darks
    5. Organize floating shelves
    6. Clean laundry/bathroom
    7. Clean off my side table, take to family room
    8. Clean exercise room
    9. Clean bedroom
    10. Fill all water bottles

Plans for the weekend for Scott:

    1. clean up around trailer
    2. decide where we are putting the bar shed
    3. Clean up around grills
    4. Declutter shed
    5. Put construction material in shed so we can dispose of later

Plans for the week for both of us:

    1. Scott clean/declutter his office
    2. Jenny clean/declutter her office
    3. upkeep dishes
    4. If we will do the bar shed, will start unboxing/putting sides together to help with setup. A couple videos we saw last night showed it takes 2-3 days to put up with 3 people. We will have at least 5 (including me). #6 will be the guy going through radiation - he will be our foreman :) IF he comes (I hope he does!)

I feel very positive about the house right now that even though there's a lot to do, there's a helluva lot less to do- most decluttering has been done in visible areas and it's easy upkeep at the moment. We just need to do the upkeep and not let dishes stack up! hahahaha

    6. Clean laundry/bathroom
    7. Clean off my side table, take to family room
    8. Clean exercise room
    9. Clean bedroom

Good morning! It was an interesting day yesterday. We didn't get much accomplished before going to parents, but things went a little sideways at their house. Dad and mom (mostly mom) are struggling to communicate and adapt to the changes of the last year.

It's raining today, and will be Thurs-Sat as well. Not sure the bar shed will be put up, but will see as the week goes on. Today (this week) we are mostly focusing on inside the house and figuring out where we can add extra tables to seat everyone for a meal if not the bar shed raising.

    List for the week:

    1. give aways to Goodwill (every time I look out my office door, I see a box of giveaway, that's why it's always first! lol) This will be done Thursday night after work
    2. Sw/Sw bathrooms (No Later Than Friday afternoon)
    3. pick up in front of treadmills
    4. Pick up around exercise room shelf
    5. wash the floor mats around the litter box
    6. move yellow table to family room
    7. Move plant to family room
    8. find new matching side tables for the bedroom (FB Marketplace)
    9. Take stuff to attic (Scott)
    10. decide on size/purchase folding table/chairs
    11. decide on type/purchase folding or stacking stools
    12. Hang decor in family room
    13. Hang plates on hallway wall
    14. clean my office
    15. Scott clean his office
    16. Clean downstairs fridge

I'm sure I'll add more as I go along, but tried to break a few big things down into more manageable chunks.

Good Morning! I don't know why I'm so exhausted the last few days. It's crazy! Anyway, didn't get anything done yesterday other than finally getting on the treadmill after work and getting my steps in. Before then I was up to 1100 steps! Feeling the same way today! UGH. So, today I will be carrying my computer with me so I can get stuff done!!!

Good morning! I know why you were exhausted the last few days, you're always getting *kitten* done, that's why! Xx So proud of you, amazing !! I went for a very! short walk on Sunday, and my heel was acting up again. I can't believe this is turning into a thing, dammit. I had a 3 lbs weight loss last week too! Congratulations to us :D. I've been so focused on ChatGPT tutoring, I haven't been keeping up with my posting here at MFP :p. I don't know why I find it so absorbing, but I love the learning!!

working on a spreadsheet section today, but I need to get stuff done too. I'll get SOMETHING done by eod, and post whatever it was :p
