Post-PT workout avo etc brunch made!

    PXL_20250326_164833854.jpg

I got new exercises added to at-home routine (side leg lifts), and she gave me a modification for one of the stability ball exercises that was painful. The exercise was holding the ball between your calves, and raising and lowering your legs; the modification is a half-bicycle crunch, to target the abs in a different way. And got a different foot placement to try on the leg press at Planet Fitness, so the initial start is less painful. 👍

She said I did great! Yay! 💪🦵😇😎

Howdy! I'll look at the bingo thread in a little bit. I wonder if the older tasks are hanging around because they need to be broken down into even smaller chunks? If not, then maybe you aren't allowed to work on new tasks until you get 2 old ones done?

I'm having a blah day. Last night was so awesome here Scott and I took a circuitous walk (1.7 miles) to a restaurant and straight home (1.3 miles). Dinner was awesome! The first time in a long time we weren't disappointed by the meal and the price we paid. Might need to become a weekly thing!

That being said, my calories were low low yesterday, so I'm feeling blah today. Working on fixing that tonight! I still haven't gotten my nails done, but I don't want to miss out on this beautiful weather and walking outside! Saturday we are going to do a day trip to our favorite distillery, so I WILL get them done Sunday. I drag my feet sometimes because it's a good 2 hour+ process.

Not getting much done on the house today, but my bed is made! :) I need to pick up the kitchen tonight. I was going to do laundry today, but didn't…. bahhhhh Oh well, 1 off day isn't terrible.

Sorry about the blah day, but what a lovely date night with hubby! 🤍 What did you order for your meal? Hubby wanted to go on a movie date on Monday, but I asked to postpone bc of the damn snow. bleh. It was nice to see him last night, when he stopped by after work to help with my keys locked in the car situation! Usually pet sitting is only a long weekend, this one is 2 weeks. Long time.

I accidentally fell asleep after eating my big brunch meal, while watching a Paramount + movie about the '72 Olympics terrorist attack. When I woke up everything hurt, especially my right calf, and my left low back. I didn't realize I'd worked that hard at my PT workout!

Scooped kitty litters, waiting on dryer. I may take a shower and get jammies on after, even tho it's only 5:14p here :p

i had a physical Monday, lab tests yesterday and eye specialist today (check up on my glaucoma). I hope I am done with docs for a while!

I am doing better with tracking food and exercise. Hope the scales reflect this on Monday. Tomorrow I am going to cull cookbooks and take a donation to the library sale. I will allow myself to keep ten cookbooks.

So glad your keys were in the car. I was wondering how long it would take to find them if they were under the snow. 😬

    mkksemail Posts: 3,991 Member

Ahhh, thx, Cat! (Me too, and I was wondering the same, lol … I was ready to just get copies of the spares made, and wait for the spring to release the keys if they were under the snow, heh. Tho - that was the one with the fob, so it would have been a pain to replace that.)

WTG on tracking food and exercise ! That's no small thing, tracking takes effort ! I decluttered cookbooks last summer, it was surprisingly fun 'releasing' them. Tho I did feel a pang of regret the next week. My overloaded bookshelves need the same treatment, but that's way harder.

Yay for hopefully being done with docs! And fingers crossed that test results are all favorable 🤞

Good morning! Did you see that Flylady's merch is going out of business? The last time we saw our daughter she talked about Flylady and that she really liked it, seeing the glitter around the house from Flylady notes, etc. So, I got her a control journal, stickers and a "Chaos to Clean in 31 days" book to give her next time we see them! Not sure she'll use it, but I felt like I needed to give back to Flylady a little bit for all the changes she helped me make over the years.

Cat, I am SURE you are glad to have those dr appts done! Awesome job on tracking food and exercise! Every little step helps get you where you want to be! I still haven't decluttered my cookbooks. Many are new are geared toward keto/carnivore, so I really want to give them a chance. I buy them wanting to use them, then fall into old ruts. I need to actively make things from them before I bounce them out of here!

MK! I forgot to mention your keys! Glad that you were able to rescue them from your car! We don't have a spare for my car, so I'm always so worried about that! 2 weeks is a long time! A few years ago I went and stayed with Hannah for about 3 months (longer story), it was very long. She lives 4.5 hours away from us. I would go home occasionally, but Scott was staying home with the cats for the most part. I missed him terribly. Dinner at Texas Roadhouse was a 16 oz steak (I ate EVERY bite of it!), a side salad and some broccoli! It was all very yummy!

I was thinking to myself yesterday that I am struggling to keep all balls in the air at the same time. I can focus on my nutrition/exercise and do a few things on the house, or I can focus on Habitica but not my digital planner. I can focus on the digital planner and forget about exercise. Well, you get it. So, I'm trying to figure out how to get all my ducks in a row every day. Will think more on it today.

Wow, no, I did not know Flylady was going out of business ! I have a few dozen of those purple rags still :D. It sounds like she got waaayyyyy tooo political during the pandemic. I just went down a rabbit hole, reading on reddit. Shocked at most of what I read.

I'm watching her youtube from Monday tho. Well, listening now, as I type. She's chatting as she walks her flybabies through a Monday WHB. It sounds like the shop ad the emails are going away, but she'll continue with her socials, etc. I didn't know she had an app, no idea what's going to happen with that.

YES, I remember you saying Hannah remembered flylady from when she was growing up, and they were good memories! That made me smile so much :D :D :D

And yessss, I hear you on the systems and balancing them all ! That's why this year I'm trying analog, with different focus journals. Well, I PLAN to try different focus journals. I've been subbing your Bingo boards for it, for the last few weeks. I think some combination of analog and digital will be what I need. The process is still working itself out, for me.

Progress, not perfection, Jenny! Classic Flylady line, right? :) You'll find the sweet spot where your focus areas and systems are working for you, instead of you working for them, I'm certain of it.

I am having a hard time watching Flylady. Does she have any idea how cluttered her walls are? There's wayyyyy tooo much kitsch on those walls and they're making me feel like I'm in the middle of a hotspot, watching her :p It's easier to just listen.

I do feel bad for her, her business struggles are obviously a gut punch for her. She's gotten emotional a few times 😢

Back from Functional Fitness Thursdays - Stability Ball class 💪. Worked up a good sweat. My arms have gotten so weak, they feel like rubber now :p

Having toast, cottage cheese, and protein tea for dinner. Doesn't sound fab, I know, but totally hitting the spot. Shower and jammies, soon.

I really tried to get to sleep before midnight last night, lights out at 11:30, but no luck! My calves and more muscles were so sore from PT yesterday. I finally got out the massager, massaged my calves, then my whole legs, then my back shoulder blades, then my left low back, and I finally fell asleep. at 1:27a :/

Awe! Sorry you were feeling so cruddy when trying to go to sleep! Glad that massage hit the spot! LOL wonder if you and I will ever get on the same page about making our beds! hahahahaha

Scott and I were feeling a little froggy tonight, especially since it’s 74 degrees out! Our 5k turned into a 10k! We’re still trying to figure out what the eggs were…. Thinking heron, too big for Canadian geese! Now I'm headed to an epsom salt bath because 21000+ steps demands I reward myself!

lol I dunno on the beds, but it's funny 😅. All showered and jammied. Going to do my Turkish, then watch some Equalizer eps. Enjoy that bath - you earned it !!

PS you and Scott look like secret agents 😎. Cool pic!

Good morning, Happy Friday ! Bed made (hehe), dressed to socks, brushed my hair (!), face & teeth washed/brushed, kitty litters scooped (!), washer and dryer spinning. Doing morning health checks, then protein tea.

Came close to being asleep by midnight! I massaged my thighs (stab ball class!), then calves then the rest, before midnight :). Asleep 00:09 - 08:02, 6h 55m, sleep score 82.

Morning! Busy day here so far! Bed is NOT made (hehe) BUT sheets/mattress pad are in the wash, I even got my shower curtains down and they are in the wash as well! I cleaned/filled up 20 water bottles (filling them was 10 minutes!), Updated my health trackers, coffee done, put on my CGM (I put it in the wrong place, it may not last there the 2 weeks… OUCH!) We also got busy very early because it's garbage day and the garbage men come very early (like 7:30!) but we were able to get rid of all the empty boxes in the entrance hall! I have my croc slippers still on, but will get socks/shoes on before 11 so I can walk :)

Weight is down 1.6 pounds since Saturday, so that makes me happy! :) And my sleep score was 91 last night!

    Plans for today:

    1. wash sheets/make bed
    2. litter boxes
    3. straighten office desk
    4. straighten personal desk
    5. Water bottles washed/filled/in fridge
    6. Load dishwasher
    7. Clean countertops

So, we did a thing tonight. For years we've talked about getting stuff for the back yard so we can enjoy it. This year at Costco they had a "bar shed" and we've been talking about it ever since. Well, We got it tonight!!!! I did some yard work (chainsaw to bushes we need to get rid of) and enjoyed being outside. Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my night. We are getting up at 5 for our day trip, so, early to bed!

Ohhhh how lovely !!! You'll have a great summer, enjoying that, I'm sure. Enjoy the distillery tmo. Winter is coming back up here tonight :(. Snow on the overnight, snow tomorrow, snow and rain and sleet and freezing rain on Sunday. The worst kind of winter precip.

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! Yesterday we did some prep cooking, and I put my new aligners in and feeling a bit yucky today. I SWEAR I'm allergic to them at first. Drives me crazy. Feeling fuzzy headed, achy, grainy eyes, nose pressure, exhausted. I took some Claritin this morning, but about to pair it with some benadryl. We had storms roll through overnight, and my stuffed up nose and slight wheezing really did a number on my sleep score (75).

Today I need to re-focus AGAIN. I also need to recognize my limitations today. I will get a walk in today, but keep my list small today

    1. make bed
    2. hang shower curtains
    3. do laundry
    4. unload dw
    5. walk 30 min at lunch
    6. Clean bathroom counter

Awww, sorry for the Monday-ish Monday (((hugs)))

You had big days over the weekend. I always pay for it in some way when I have big steps days like you did.

Over the weekend I made the decision to make my Bingo Boards 2-wk boards, since I spent most of last week updating the spreadsheet, instead of doing the stuff :p.

(I started to type my update here, but I put it in the Bingo thread instead).

How was the distillery? It sounded like it was going to be quite fun. My weekend was all winter again. Snow on Saturday (did some shoveling, but only 34 mins). A dusting on Sunday, and rain, too. (no shoveling on Sun). And today, it's going to be 50F. Wild swings !

I did not do well foodwise over the weekend. I ate pizza and cookies for my lunches and dinners :o

You beat me on sleep score, but only by 1 pt! I got a 74/Fair :p. I got to sleep before midnight, tho! Finally, lol 11:30p-08:17a, 7h 11m sleep (lot of awake time while I fought it, heh, 1h 36m awake!), sleep score 74/Fair (probably bc of all the awake time).

Oh, wow! I can't believe I forgot to tell you - I bought a Peloton Guide yesterday. Here's a post from another group:

Tes, Peloton does not have a Silver Sneakers program, but thank you for your question! It prompted me to do (another) Google search trying to understand their different memberships. It led me to read about their Guide device, which is like a Roku-sized device you attach to your tv, for strength workouts, but it comes with access to their (full?) library of classes. The cost is $24/mo for the Guide membership, which is close to half the price of an All-Access Membership you need for the Bikes/Treads, but more than the price of the app membership. But the app only membership seems to limit the number of classes you can take. Not sure about that, it seems overly complicated trying to figure out what exactly is and isn't included, even tho they do have a comparison chart. Anyway, the Guide membership lets you have 5 profiles (All Access up to 20 profiles, app only just 1 profile).

The device itself is on its lowest-ever price at Amazon for their 'Big Spring Sale' - only $45! Down from launch price of close to $400, recent list price of $195, recent selling prices of $95.

I bought the device. It'll be a couple weeks before it gets here. The Peloton instructors really ARE incredible. I've been mulling over some kind of membership since the end of January, they're that good.

I did submit my thing for Hogwarts yesterday, so I hope I hear back soon!

Sleep score was 68 yesterday!!!! I don’t know what happened. I felt like I slept better last night than the night before! lol oh well!
Once we get out of here I’ll have to get to the store for meds and mom wants fried chicken, have to vacuum for them, then I can head home. Will be a late night I fear. Glad I work from home and can sleep in later tomorrow!

Good afternoon! Oooo, your sister's surgery was today. I hope it was successful, and accomplished all they were aiming to 🤍. No worries on the sleep score, sometimes it doesn't mesh with how you feel. As long as you felt rested, that's what matters :). GL with errands and chores, you're a good sister, and daughter! Xx

Sleep score was 81 this morning, so, there is that! :) I didn't do good on my list on Monday, so I will work on it today and add as I go along.

Good morning! I'm glad you're doing Hogwarts again ^ - ^ . I'm in Slytherin again. Hufflepuff seems like a fantastic house. I have a feeling that Slytherin has the quietest common room. Love to hear the comparison feedback! Hufflepuff has the woman who introduced me to Hogwarts in it. And Ravenclaw has the man who started my 18 mos+ walking streak in it. I always say Any House is Fine, but I do kinda wish I could check out another house, too.

GREAT news on the surgery, and that's so sweet, what Scott did 🤍

And, WOW, fantastic effort and progress with your health stats !!! So inspiring!
