What is your focus today?

Made it thru my 1st stability ball class! I brought a shower chair to help me get up and down off the floor 🤪. Went to Planet Fitness after, so I did get the biking done. I considered doing the 22-min Yoga for Balance/Flexibility that I've been trying to include in my weeklies (2-3x/wk is the goal), but I decided against, and went in the shower.
Hopefully you've arrived safely at your parents' place! GL w/ appts tmo, and safe home again! Xx

Good morning! Rainy here 🌧 I know you're at your parents, so I'm flying solo, unless Cat checks in :D
AM routine done, including brushing hair and scooping kitty litter, this time 😇. LOL in washer, LOL in dryer. I didn't make my day plan for today, last night, but it is mostly sketched out from earlier in the week, when I plotted out the week, so I'll check in a bit to update yesterday, and see what's on for today. @titus2cat , are you flying today? :)

Good afternoon! It’s going good here! Got a 90 sleep score, got mom and dad to/from the doctor. I like their doctor. It went well, just their 6 month checkup and they are mostly doing good (Dad will need to go to a hand doctor).
I have a meeting in an hour to start learning about how “the other side” manages their tickets, etc. Will only be 30 minutes, but at least they are starting to get us looped in.
I am on call this weekend, so my focus will be the family room. Scott has to figure out why my tire has a slow leak, and we’ve got the top/bottom of the closet and the bookshelf left in our bedroom. Poor Scott has the heavy lift in all of this, because it’s mostly his stuff. If it were me, I’d toss it all! LOL
Well, that’s about it for me for now! I’ll probably check in tomorrow morning! When I get home I usually go tech free just cuz. LOL

i had to get up at five this morning and drive 2 hours to keep the two youngest grandkids. Lots of outdoor time and on my feet most of the day, but no flying. Back home now and going to bed before 9:00. Tomorrow is a fly day for sure.

Yay, Cat!
I mean yay for company tomorrow, not for your day today, which sounds complicated/busy

Good morning!
Hope you had fun with the grandkids Cat!
I am on call this weekend and for the first time in well over a year I had to work for a couple hours in the night. This week has been crazy, I think I jinxed myself earlier this week! LOL
Today I have strapped on a weighted vest I will wear as long as I can while doing housework and probably a treadmill walk today. I have added back the weight I've lost since January. Will be interesting to see how impactful it will be. Kind of a gut check to remind me to keep moving forward. We'd rather walk outside, but after last night, I really need to stick close to home.
List for this weekend:
- Clean toilets
- clean litter boxes
- vacuum
- Mop
- declutter bluerays
- declutter video games
- declutter family room
- Have Scott take give aways to Goodwill
- Have Scott deal with tire with slow leak
- Take stuff to camper
update bingo for next focus (family room)- Move bingo tasks to Habitica for tracking

Good morning, Happy Saturday! Jenny, I was wondering what 'tickets from the other side' meant?
Up, dressed, washed, bed made, and morning health checks done. Hair not brushed, nor kitty litters scooped, nor dryer started yet. Protein tea made and now considering/eyeballing my list for today. Also considering Planet Fitness. Not sure if I should do today and tomorrow, or just tomorrow. Or just today. The Stability Ball class really worked my muscles on Thur. Well, that, plus I went to Planet Fitness after to do my biking, and I did my two weights circuits, too (upper/core, and lower). I only managed 2 sets on my leg/knee PT last night (instead of 3).
We have snow in the forecast for Monday :/

LOL sorry for the work slang! We are the legacy team (we got bought by the new company) and "tickets from the other side" means the work that the team like us with the company that bought us works. We call them the "other side" because right now we are working out of 2 ticketing systems, so we can't see each other's work easily.
WTG on getting moving! I would say listen to your readiness score (what is it today?) and determine how much work you should put in. Sounds like you need to cut back a little if you couldn't finish your PT last night.
YUCK on the snow!! I have a few windows open trying to get fresh air, but I'm sure Scott will close them when he gets cold. LOL Bed is made (not on list) time to attack the list!

Ok! So, Scott and I had a conversation about him doing work on the weekends, my concerns, his reasons. It started out tough, but ended up good. We are both on the same page.
I also had a conversation with Grok (AI) about wearing the weighted vest, what the best calorie range is for me, my goals, and even put all my data I've been tracking since Jan1 to find my "sweet spot" for weight loss! I was impressed with the information provided and will implement it this week to see how it goes!
List for this weekend:

That sounds like a good conversation! Eric does not like tough conversations :p. Good for you and Scott for being able to have them productively.
My readiness was low, my fitbit 'Today' page said recovery day today, and gave no cardio load target. I did have a very low key day. No exercise workouts, not even my 2-min wall sits, and I'm only at 3k steps for the day :o (altho my fitbit has been eating about 3500 steps a day, since Feb … ).
My RHR is still 10 pts higher than usual, so I guess I do need recovery.

Yesterday I got 14,000 steps in! wheeee! Using the weighted vest was an interesting add, and today the tops of my shoulders tell me I did something! I'll be putting it on in a little bit and getting my first of 2 walks today!
I have swapped one of my cups of coffee with milk thistle tea with lemon to help support my liver function. I am trying to heal insulin resistance and since your liver is so important for insulin, I thought it a good place to start! And it's an easy swap. The last time I had 2 cups of coffee (Tuesday?) like normal, I was really jittery after, so that's a good sign to back down.
I helped Scott set up his Habitica tasks, so he's ready to get moving on it finally. I really hope it helps him get into better routines. He also got me new tires for my car at Costco- UGH the price! However, they are 70,000 mile tires filled with nitrogen instead of regular air, so they should last us a good long time. Now to get the truck tires taken care of, but that'll be a couple months. I'm assuming it will be double.

That's so interesting to swap the weight you've lost since Jan, for a weighted vest for your workouts. It must make it that much more inspiring to keep that weight off, having the experience of putting it on, and taking it off.
Is milk thistle tea tasty? i just bought a bunch of Yerba Mate a couple weeks ago, but it's still in those Amazon boxes I haven't opened yet :p.
Great on the tires! Gotta be safe! But, yea, I hear ya on the unexpected expense. boo WTG on weekend stuff ! Is Habitica working for you? Do you stay on the free tier? Or do you buy in-app incentives/bonuses?
0 -
Yeah, it's amazing how much harder it is and how out of breath I am when I am wearing the vest! A BIG wakeup call.
I like the tea so far, pretty mild. I put 1/4 lemon (squeezed into the mug) with it and I mostly taste the lemon. LOL it's fine.
We are doing Habitica free for now, if we can become consistent I think leveling up by purchases might be a thing, but since we are so new to it, don't wanna waste money.
I've also gotten my first 45 min walk done. Will do another before dinner. Scott and I are about to hit the family room…..The thing about decluttering, the more you do it, the more you want to do it because it feels so much better. I'm giving myself permission to get rid of stuff I am just…not…using, instead of hanging on to it because I paid money for it, or someone gave it to me, etc. Some stuff I'm packing away, but overall I am just tossing as much as I can.

Well, family room is underway! We've made a huge dent and I'm about to vacuum in a few minutes. The top of the table needs to be picked up, I'm sneezing like crazy due to dust (will take allergy pills in a bit), Scott straightened up the bluerays and video games and got rid of ZERO. At least I tried…. LOL Other than mopping, I think my list for the weekend is done! I won't have Scott take the stuff to goodwill because there's other stuff in the back seat of the car and I don't want him accidentally giving that away! I'll do it tomorrow when I head out to get my toes and fingers done.

It's super hard to declutter vids and video games! WTG him for straightening them up, tho !
Having another low key day today, so I can be ready tomorrow. Just made avocado toast w/ olive-oil fried diced tomatoes, and an egg, with little leaf lettuce, chopped pitted dates, feta cheese, walnuts, and cocnut vinegar on the side. It's a post-Prolon FMD Transition Day meal, one of my new favorites! And I still don't like regular avo, tho. LOL It has to be with fried diced tomatoes, loads of smoked paprika, an egg, on toast, appartently heh

I Brad Mondo'd my hair !!
I cut off about 8-10" or so …
It was kinda hard to see if it was even, but my hair is wavy, so it should be okay ;-)
Tomorrow, after a night of bedhead, and it's fully dry, I'll see how it came out !
1 -
I love it!!!! I can't wait to see it dry!!!
It's pouring rain here tonight. I did end up finishing in the family room- dusted the tv stand, vacuumed the couch and rug, wiped down the table and figured out where to store most of the blankets in there. After more than 6 months of not using that room due to all the crap in there from the kitchen remodel and other stuff, it's finally usable again! I'm SO DANG HAPPY!
Even if I am wheezing a little bit from kicking up all the dust in there!
1 -
Mostly dry! Just finger combed. Who knows what tmo will look like, after sleeping on it.
W - T - G !! on family room !! Six months and now reclaimed. that's awesome !! Xx

PS- we're getting rain - then 2-4" of snow - then more rain, tmo :/

Oh I love it! Looks really nice on you! Do you do any of the curly girl stuff? Looks like you have some seriously curly hair there!
So, this morning it hit me that if someone came over to my house unexpected today, that I would not talk to them on the porch. Are all rooms perfect? No. Are they "company worthy"? According to my mom no, according to me, sure except our offices. If I had 30-60 minutes to do a fast clean up, I'd be very happy. So, today I'm sitting in that comfortable (but kind of uncomfortable) zone of I feel pretty damn good about my house! I don't have crushing guilt because it's full of chaos. I have to start thinking future and figure out what maintenance means to me so that it IS always company ready! And it also gives me more free time to do things I like - like crochet!
Ok, list for today:
- Walk 30 min at lunch with weighted vest
- Walk 45 minutes after work without vest
- make bed
- shower
- Clean bathroom counters
- mop main living area
- mop bathrooms
- take give aways to goodwill
- Get my mani/pedi (SOOOOO needed!)
- Study AI for Scrum Masters (it's alllll reading, so I will have to focus more)

oooooo, so inspiring, Jennywren ! Yea, I'd def talk to an unexpected visitor on the porch!
Ahhh, the curls. Sadly, they exist in an intertidal zone. They appear after hair-washing, as hair dries, and disappear into a frizzy mess after first combing. I love them, but they're fleeting. I either have to do a blowout, or I put it all in a ponytail. This morning:
The winter precip slop is just starting. It's just a misty atm. The forecast has dropped, for snow accumulation tho. Instead of 2-4", it's about an inch today, and a half inch tonight, bracketed by rain. First snow, then snow & rain, then rain, then a few hrs of snow, followed up by a few more of more rain. It won't stick, tho. Highs in the 40s the next 5 days, then more winter precip mix for 3 days, then more 40s. I'm going to take a third low key day, so I'm ready for workouts at Planet Fitness, yoga at home, and Functional Fitness Tuesdays - Resistance Bands, tomorrow. I did do my wall sits this morning tho, as I was brushing teeth. Teeth brushing is a great time for exercise snacks ala Syd from Slytherin! Wall sits fit perfectly, so does balancing on one leg, for balance exercises, as you brush teeth.
Bed not made yet. Debating if it's going to be a sheets changing day or not :p. Eric's side hasn't been used at all - do I get to 'average' it out, and not change sheets this week? ;-)
heh ~ The games I play with myself
I didn't get up until 10:30 - sleep score 86 tho! (6h 36m sleep). Dressed to socks, face washed, teeth brushed, hair brushed (lol), chatted via text with Eric, visited with all 3 kitties. Haven't scooped kitty litters, swished & swiped potty, or had bfast yet, tho. Having protein tea now. Morning health checks done. Scale is climbing. Too many cookies since Hogwarts Term ended! :p
Going to update my bingos, steps, pull a new fitness deck, plan my week. Planning for a solid week. Looking forward to it!

Things are going a little sideways here! LOL Best laid plans and all, I'm not off to a great start! :)
Ok, list for today:
- Walk 30 min at lunch with weighted vest- didn't happen, forgot about my meeting at lunch with my client. That's ok, I'll keep going
- Walk 45 minutes after work without vest- I was going to nix this one as well because I need my nails done, but I have to meet someone tonight for something I'm selling, so maybe I'll get an hour in instead!
make bed- shower
Clean bathroom counters- mop main living area
- mop bathrooms
- take give aways to goodwill
- Get my mani/pedi (SOOOOO needed!)- This will be put off until tomorrow
- Study AI for Scrum Masters (it's alllll reading, so I will have to focus more)- Module 1 of 8 is done. Took an hour. How do they say this is a 4 hour course??? UGH
2 -
Well, yesterday I did get a 5k done with Scott outside after work (it was 65 degrees!), it was wonderful to be in the sun and a nice breeze! Today I have 3 hours of meetings, so will be working on decluttering more in my office while listening, since they are mostly listening meetings.
List for today:
- Walk 30 min at lunch with Scott outside
- Walk 45 minutes after work with Scott outside.
make bed- shower
- Declutter in front of dresser
- Declutter in front of mirror
- Declutter in front of closet
- mop main living area
- mop bathrooms
- clean litter boxes
- take give aways to goodwill
- Get my mani/pedi (SOOOOO needed!)
- Study AI for Scrum Masters (it's alllll reading, so I will have to focus more)- Module 1,2 and started on 3 of 8 is done.

If you give a mouse a cookie….. So I did finish decluttering in front of the dresser, but before I could do that I needed to hang up 2 coats in the coat closet, but before I could do that I had to declutter the hanger stuff so I had room to hang the coats. I found:
3 duffle bags (Scott will determine if we keep, they are branded with his old company)
3 backpacks- 1 to keep, 2 to go
some steamer accessories (I don't have the steamer any more)
shoes and a long sweater to get rid of
2 reusable bags that can go to the car.
Is there more to declutter in there? Yep, but that's another windmill for another day
2 -
I am here! I've been reading, but didn't make time for a post :p. It's time to get ready for Functional Fitness Tuesdays - Resistance Ball class now, tho. GREAT JOB, JENNYWREN !!
Back tonight. Xx

Ahhhh man! Missed my class b/c I can't find the keys. Eric has the spare keys with him. Hoping they are in the car, and not under the snow :/

Got the keys - they were locked in the car :/

I put a lengthy update in the Bingo thread, as well as my new boards.
Good news/bad news! Good news, I'm doing 'okay' on new/current tasks. Bad news, I'm still fighting hard against clearing out those old tasks! It's helpful to separate them, and see the difference. As well as the differences between the boards. I'm glad I separated them into different focus areas, I find it helpful to me. Both for task planning, and for insight about different areas.

Sooo sleepy now. Sweet dreams !
