Morning! Well, we got the pad finished for the bar shed, but probably won't be able to put it up this weekend. I did get a folding table/chairs delivered today, and have 2 side tables ordered for delivery tonight and will put them together tomorrow! I really like them! Will have more shelf space and will be able to organize it better, I think. Maybe use some baskets? Will see. The side tables ended up coming from Amazon….I did find my iPods that have been missing forever! Imagine that, on the floor next to the side table I cleaned off and took to the family room! LOL
My weight is not being nice to me this week- might have to report a gain or at best, no loss. I'm not doing anything different, but a few low calorie days last week might be the culprit as I work back up to eating more…..
List for the week:
- give aways to Goodwill (every time I look out my office door, I see a box of giveaway, that's why it's always first! lol) This will be done Thursday night after work
- Sw/Sw bathrooms (No Later Than Friday afternoon)
- pick up in front of treadmills
- Pick up around exercise room shelf
- wash the floor mats around the litter box
move yellow table to family room- Move plant to family room
find new matching side tables for the bedroom (FB Marketplace)- Take stuff to attic (Scott)
decide on size/purchase folding table/chairsdecide on type/purchase folding or stacking stools- Hang decor in family room
- Hang plates on hallway wall
- clean my office
- Scott clean his office
- Clean downstairs fridge

Our weights are in sync! I lost 3.4 lbs last week, but I'm back up over 2 lbs this week! Hope it leaves by the weekend :p. Your bar shed project sounds so great!!
I have to report that I let myself get engrossed in spreadsheeting again yesterday. I was finishing up a section of the larger sheet I pulled the Freggie Tracker from sometime in the afternoon, and went to update my Freggie Tracker for Week 2 … and noticed a few issues in the cutout version that needed fixing. And then I got immersed/lost in ChatGPT tutoring again :p
I posted the updates tho. As well as screenshots of my first couple weeks, so you could see how they're working together.

PS - I am going to take today to catch up on all my threads from the last couple weeks, then get seriously busy tomorrow. Girl Scouts Honor ! :p

I'm getting myself ready to go right after work…. My nails are WAY past due and I can't stand it any longer! I will be walking to get there and back, since Scott has the car right now. It's less than a mile, so will be good for my step count for the challenge as well as my Quidditch task (walking outside alone is a bit anxiety inducing!)
1 -
I'm with you in spirit! You won't be alone :). Good for you. You'll be so happy when you see your pretty nails.
0 -
Well, didn't get to do my nails because I had taken my credit card and DL out of my wallet for the concert and hadn't put it back in, and it was in the car Scott had…. sigh…. Maybe today? We'll see, it's supposed to rain?
Already busy today, I got the bed made, and the 2 side tables put together! Now to organize mine and clean up/organize Scotts (I only did mine yesterday. Crunch time, people coming in 2 days!!!!

Oh mannnnn ….. did you find out about the cc after you walked there? oooo, folks are coming in 2 days! Does that mean the forecast cleared out for the weekend? I was just going to suggest you do the nails over the rainy weekend, since your Bar Shed plans had to be put on hold, but it sounds like that's not what's happening. Excited for you!
Congrats on the side tables !!!!! You're such an inspiration :).
My daughter Katie got exciting news last night, so thrilled for her! She met and married a Turkish man in August '23. Marriage in Turkey works differently than here in the States. Everyone gets married at city hall, in a civil ceremony (they even have special fancy auditoriums for the ceremonies). The couple, 2 witnesses, and the officiant sit at a table up on the stage, and say their vows. Then the 'real wedding' takes place later, and not even the same day, often! Religious ceremony, reception, big celebration, all that is completely separate from the civil ceremony. (Which, btw, is beautiful, brides all show up in their dresses, grooms in their best suits, everyone waits at city hall in their fancy clothes, like it's a DMV, until it's their appt time in the fancy auditorium-like space :) ).
Anyway! as soon as they decided to marry/get engaged, they did the civil ceremony right away, so they could start the visa process. Which is stupid. Our immigrations system truly is a flipping clusterfudge. It takes 2.5 to 3 yrs (or more!) for a spouse visa to get approved! (Like …srsly!?, Congress!?) So, once you apply, it's kind of a black hole, with no definite timeline. And last night she got an email that their I-130 application had been approved!! That doesn't mean the visa has been approved, tho, it means it moves to the next phase, which does have a more definite timeline, and usually takes about 6 mos. She's soooooooo excited! She said that means he might be here when the leaves are turning, which is about the best time to see Maine for the 1st time :D. I'm just thrilled for them <3.
1 -
Oh that's wonderful news!!!! I'm so excited for them, and you and dad too! I hope it flies by! It must be so hard to be away from each other! That is interesting how they do marriages there! How did they meet?
Yeah, we decided even if we can't get it going, at least we'll have them over for dinner, and we've gotten a folding table/chairs for that purpose! Luckily I hadn't left the house yet, for some reason I decided to look before I left. The funny thing is that even though I did a 5k instead, it was still in the same direction as the nails place! LOL
Darks are spinning, lights waiting their turn. Lunch is almost on me, so I'll do a 30 min walk then 30 min cleaning in the exercise room. I've started posting my individual tasks, I've got a bit more to do! LOL
1 -
Glad you checked on the cc before you left, I'd have been even more annoyed, had I found out when I got to the place :p. wtg on activities and Mount Washmore!
ahhhh, yes, on Katie and Murat. TY <3. They met when Katie and 3 girlfriends went on a 3-wk trip to Egypt and Turkey in the fall of '22. They just arrived in Istanbul, and were planning on going to Cappadocia for sunrise hot air balloon rides over the fairy chimneys the next day. While touring the Spice Bazaar in Istanbul, he caught her eye, and as she passed by, she told her friend, "That is the most beautiful man I've ever seen!". Her friend turned her around, and they went back to go into his shop <3. After chatting a bit (instant connection!), it was time to go, he gave her a card, and said the shop's insta was on there, and she should follow it. She did, later that day … and they next day she got a follow request from his personal account. They chatted via messaging the whole week the girls were touring Turkey (besides Cappadocia, they went to Ephesus and a few other places I don't recall, before returning to Istanbul for a day, before their flight home left the next day. Katie and Murat had arranged a date on Monday (the day she was back in Istanbul). He took her for Turkish breakfast, to Galata Tower, and to a few sights around the city. Unbeknownst to Murat, Katie had changed her Tues flight to Wednesday, in case the date went well. He was so surprised when he found out! They were both falling in love with each other quite quickly.
Obviously, she had to return home on Wed. But she started returning to Turkey for a long weekend every 4-5 weeks, starting that December, I think. She's an emergency room vet, and was working three 12 hr overnight shifts at that time, so had a lot of time off. And a lot of extra cash bc of the overnight shifts differential. By May, they'd decided to marry. They were going to have the civil ceremony in June, but her Dad and I said, hold up! we are coming! She kept saying, no, it's not the 'real wedding', she's not even dressing up, they're wearing shorts, etc etc etc, but we said, "Will you be married afterwards?". She said yes, we said we're coming. lol They tried to get a city hall date in July, but it didn't work out. So they got an August date, and Eric and I went, and 1 of her friends from undergrad, who was on the first 3-wk trip with her (her witness, Murat's sister was the other witness), and … they were married! She's been traveling to Turkey every 4-6 weeks since Nov '23 !

Wow! What a love story! That's so amazing! <3 Glad you and Eric were there to see it! I know how important that is!
Well, today is the "big" day, the PUSH day. Tomorrow we're gonna have people come around 9 (we'll start on it before that), so before bed tonight, need to have everything done. I feel pretty confident about all but the offices, but I can always close the door if I need to. Honestly, neither office is as terrible as it has been in the past, so not toooooo worried about it! We've been working on decluttering for a while now. When I list it all out, it looks overwhelming, but it's all just little things that don't take much time. I will update as I go along.

wooooooo!!! I'm vicariously excited for you because there is NO WAY IN HELL I could have visitors in any of my rooms tomorrow. I'm so thrilled for you, flybaby flysistah!
Good morning, up late today. AM routine done, hair brushed (lol I skip that so often, like wth?), face/teeth washed, dressed, kitties food tidied, protein tea made, laptop fired up (heh). am bps next. Oh! bed made, cuz Eric got up before I finished up my morning routine stuff, and made it himself 😳🤪😂.
Went for a post-rain walk with Eric last night after his shift. Stepped in all the puddles. (Water-inspired workout for the list event at Hogwarts, heh). Heel is tender today, but no wincing when stepping. Small blessings! Xx
1 -
WTG on the walking in puddles! Sounds like a lot of fun! Glad to hear the heel is getting better!
Just about the time I was going to go vacuum the family room, I got an incident for work, so working on the office instead! There's a really bossy lady on the meeting doing my job, so, I'm gonna let her! LOL
Instead of crossing out, I will delete so that I can see my list getting shorter and shorter! :)

My office is done enough! All that's left is mopping. Allergies are going crazy right now with all the dust! I wish this IN would get done so I can leave my office! :) Please tell me I'm not deluding myself about how good it looks, because of how bad it's been. I know the desk is cluttered, but I am not going to deal with it today
Instead of crossing out, I will delete so that I can see my list getting shorter and shorter! :)

OK! My incident ran long, so I didn't get lunch and I get to leave an hour early today! wheee! JUST what I needed! Scott is kicking me out when I want to go so that I can get my nails done (finally). Showed him how janky they are and he felt bad I had to wait this long! LOL
Instead of crossing out, I will delete so that I can see my list getting shorter and shorter! :) It's getting shorter for sure! :) I took a page out of Hannah's book and used my Buff City laundry detergent (lavendar) on the bedroom rug! Smells soooo nice in there now!

WOOOOHOOOOOOO !!!! Looking great, girl !!
Katie called just as I was finishing my starter lunch course (nuts) and asked to go to lunch. She was getting her windshield replaced not far from here, and it was going to be a few hours because they had to calibrate it (?) with the car systems. Anyway ! I had a lovely lunch with Kate at Bird & Co, and we picked up some to take home for Eric. Cute taco place - NOT Taco Bell-ish at all.
She had 2 each of the House Tacos (Pickled onion, queso fresco, avo-verde, chicken) and another one, I honestly can't remember which, getting it mixed up with the ones she chose for her Dad (Tijuana (shredded pork, cheddar jack, onion, cilantro, au jus, griddled corn tortilla); Chorizo & Potato (crispy red potatoes, onion, cilantro, sour cream); Jerk Chicken (grilled chicken, grilled pineapple, jerk sauce, cilantro, onion) ). I ordered a Fish Taco (Fried Haddock, cabbage, avocado, pico, ranchero), Sweet Plantain taco (black beans, plantain, pico de gallo, jalapeno garlic sauce), Bean & Sweet Potato Taquitos (black beans, sweet potatoes, corn, red bell pepper, onion, spicy mayo), Elotes (Mexican street cor, lime mayo, cotija, parmesan, cilantro, paprika, jalapeno garlic sauce). I ate half of my order, and took the other half home for tmo =).
She wanted to go explore the art store across the street afterwards; I wanted to go for a walk :p. I forgot that she said she wanted to explore the art store, so she asked if we could walk around there 🤨😂🙃. I said sure, ofc. Did that for about 20 mins or so, and then suggested we split up. LOL I am like NOT at all an artist, walking through an art store with Katie is like walking through a music store with Eric - I don't 'get' either topic. lmao But they're lost in complete and utter absorption the whole time. She said sure, that should could happily explore for well over another 20 mins. So, off I walked. Had a great time, cute neighborhood in that area, old neighborhood - pre-cookie-cutter housing developers, so they're all different to each other.

(My pace is quite slow the last few weeks - After a 2.24 mi drizzly hike a few Sundays ago, on an uneven/muddy woodsy path (Portland Rail Trail), a few hours later my HEEL starting hurting. Great, something new to go wrong with my appendages and joints? :p. The next day I couldn't even step on it, I was hobbling around with my LL Bean hiking stick. Subsided to walkable by Tuesday, that Wed I had in-office PT for knee(s), I asked her about it. She said probably plantar fasciitis, and offered some suggestions (heel cup, stretches, good shoes, etc). Anway, it's been walkable these last few weeks, but I'm using my hiking pole, and the pace is def slower. Still walking tho!)
1 -
Awwww She looks just like her momma!!! How fun you could have a spontaneous day! WTG getting those walks in, even when you are hurting! Keep up the awesome work!
I'm back from nails (much shorter, which is ok), dropped off stuff at Goodwill- looked around but didn't find anything- picked up some dinner. Dinner is done, Scott is running to BJs wholesale for beer and fizzy water for tomorrow. I'll pick up burgers/steaks/buns, etc tomorrow after things get really moving.
New way to tackle this list for tonight. I will highlight what I plan to work on for an hour and let you know what I did/how far I got! What I'm focusing on is in Bold Italics :)

Well, plans thwarted by Scott. I told him I have to get the house clean, he has to get the boxes out of the truck and unloaded. Guess who helped him….. sigh… But at least that is done and tomorrow morning he can go to Lowe's and get some gravel for us to put down under the shed (thanks to his friend who told him it had to be done for drainage….I guess we need to do it right! Exercise room is done enough. I think this will be my last hour, if I can get my tushie in gear! I will do mopping in the morning. Scott's getting up at 5, so I guess I will too. While he heads for gravel, I can finish up what is left (hoping just mopping!)

Oh, yes, that gravel part sounds very important! Good catch by his friend. And good job helping unload the truck. You're in good shape, a quick swish and swipe in the bathroom, and swab with the mop, and you'll be good to go. Reap the rewards of your efforts over the last months and more, and enjoy!

I feel really good about my progress today! I'm heading to bed, 5 am is going to come quick! Scott's still working on his office, I'll let him do what he's going to do. We asked Grok to help us figure out how much gravel we need, and if we can get it all in one trip with his truck. It's just below total capacity, and he's only going 3 miles, so he should be able to handle the 35-50 pound bags!!!! I will get most of this knocked out between 5 and when he gets home (Lowe's opens at 6, so I'm figuring 6:30-7 he should be home. Thanks for keeping me company on this journey. Even Scott's excited about how much better the house feels!

This is past my screens off time, but I wanted to check in on you and give you a last high give, so I'm checking in from my gray screened (bedtime mode) phone :-p.
Well done! And have fun

Ok, Scott's off to get gravel and I'm here getting the last things done. I've made the bed, bedroom is 100% done. I want to get a shower before people show up, but they may be getting messy bun Jenny because I don't want my hair down outside in the humidity while trying to move 50 pound bags! Which reminds me! Double dose of creatine today for me! Trying to decide if I want to mop or not, people will be coming in/out and it's still a bit soggy outside

Scott got back with the bags of gravel, he's got it all out and in the pad area. He's reading instructions and overthinking that it needs to be on concrete or wood deck. I think the gravel will be fine. I decided messy bun Jenny wins out, only did concealer under eyes, blush and contour. If I'm going to be outside all day, it won't matter anyway. I have my grocery list together. Will need to change pants before I leave, though…. UGH it's so humid out there! I'm really proud of all the work I've gotten done the last 2 days!

Good morning~! Happy Sunday! I'm sure your day yesterday was a success, can't wait to hear about it! Not problem-free, projects never are, but I bet it was a good day.
Still raining here in Maine. Headed to Planet Fitness later. Not certain what else yet. poof!
