I need to make some change. This up and down thing is crazy. Maybe I'll start tracking steps. That seems to be working for other people. Anyway, was away for 5 days, but thought I was relatively rasonable in what I ate vs. how much I was moving (we walked a lot!). I was wrong.

@AnnaZimm70 I know what you mean about being active and thinking you are doing well. I tend to gain on vacations, just being out of my home environment makes me retain fluid! You will lose it again!
Today was a super hot day. The forecast was feel like temps of 107, but it actually got to feel like 112. Went and walked super early this morning, then came home and took a nap 😂

I am thrilled to join the group starting in August! I love to support and encourage others! I have recently gained weight over the last eight months of not working out as much and a move. I am ready to get back on track and would love to do it together!
A little bit about me. I am happily married and have two horses and a dog. I am now retired from being a Director of Analytics and focused on our new place, which is a ranch! I love to garden, ride, read, etc. We traveled a bit since retiring and now happy to be with our horses and dog! And in a few months chickens!
I have gained weight since retiring and our move. No excuses, I was was on a solid program and let myself slide. Time to get back on track!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone! Please feel free to add me as a friend and vice versa.

It was a super hot day here today, with feel like temps at 113. I moved my exercise inside at the gym today. NSV: I jogged for 30 minutes straight without stopping!! 🎉

Whew! That is HOT! We just moved to Texas and it’s been HOT here, we did know what we were getting into though, haha!

Hi! Best to Megan and hope she feels better soon! I was really focused and was doing cardio (typically Peloton) and Barre/Pilates (have a mirror program at home), rode horses five times a week. We made some big life decisions of moving, etc. and I let myself slide. I really watch what I eat, however, I let that slide as well.
I need to refocus again. We are now settled at our new place and no excuses. I feel as if I let stress that I typically handle working out, etc., I didn’t do it this time and it caught up with me. I am 45 and really want to live my healthiest life!

I have a dog, Jake! He’s an old boy, we rescued 3 years ago. We don’t have a fenced in yard so he helps me get my steps 💕🐾💕🐾

Hey Downsizer Team!
Joined ya’ll yesterday starting the month of August (officially). I joined WW 2 years ago & lost 50 lbs. as of November 2024. Since then, I’ve retired, been on two cruises & spent three weeks in Paris. As of this morning, I’m up about 5 lbs., pretty much the same 5 since January. I think I’ve figured out some stuff. I joined MFP & am focused on macros & am taking weight lifting & cardio classes at the YMCA. My goal is 15 more lbs. very doable & I am SO excited for the challenge. Thanks for reading this far & I’m here to support you!3 -
Welcome @gillis1118! I think that's awesome to only be up 5 pounds after 2 cruises and 3 weeks in Paris! I usually gain about 7-10 pounds per cruise 😂 Jake is so adorable as well!
@HorsesRock9999 love the horses and your pup!! As I said above, I'm trying to convince my hubby to get a dog or cat, but will most likely be a cat haha.

@Megan_smartiepants1970 has been in and out of the hospital the last few months and is still recovering, please keep her in your thoughts.
