Anyone want to be my partner for this coming week's walking challenge?

@ashleycarole86 oh no! Sciatica is not fun. Good for walking, because too much sitting or laying can make it worse. Take those anti-inflammatories and a hot shower!

@jguldi11 happy birthday to your son! I was looking at quotes for life insurance and there's a huge difference if you are overweight/obese vs not. Let me know if you find a good company as hubby and I are looking as well.

Went to the park early this morning because the heat is back with a vengence. Feel like temps 107 all weekend with crazy humidity 🥵

I got a lot done today for the birthday party tomorrow, I decided to put together a vegetable tray as one of the food options so I'll be able to munch on those instead of a bunch of potato chips and pasta salad.

I had a NSV - received results from my blood work and everything looks great. I had gestational diabetes 2x in the past which puts me at risk of developing T2D. As such, I have to keep a close eye on my A1c and glucose numbers, so it's always a relief to see normal results.

If anyone wants to be my walking partner in this week's group challenge, let me know!

I can't promise I'll be the highest stepper but I'll do my best 😊

@jguldi11 I asked on team downsizers if anyone wants to partner with you as well. Any takers?? @ashleycarole86 @Alatariel75 ??

It's another hot one today and our poor veggies aren't liking it. They have shrivelled up their leaves...hopefully they don't get too stressed. It's 94, feels like 113 currently! 🥵

I ended up going to the gym to walk today. It looks like the heat will be here through Thursday.

Hey @jguldi11 I just popped into the other chat and it looks like you might have a taker for a partner. If that falls through let me know and I'll join ya!

Brad and I have been out on the water all day today, so lovely. Just stopped for a swim and now we're making our way back to the boat launch.

Thrilled I hit the leaderboard and really wanting to stay motivated for a second week in the green. This is my 7th day of tracking!

    @lauren_989 nice nsv!!

@ashleycarole86 it sounds like you're getting back into the logging habit 🥳

Awesome job team coming in 1st! And great milestones @stephanodda & @Pearl4686 🔥🔥🔥

I was fairly active yesterday with the birthday party, which is good because I had some cake and ice cream.

I started wearing my Fitbit again yesterday; that and the walking challenge have motivated me to move more than I usually do. I like the reminders during my active hours to move more.

Food choices have been good other than the cake and ice cream, but even with that I made sure to watch my portions. We did end up with a little leftover. In the past that all would've been gone in the first 24 hours, mostly in my belly, so I'm happy that hasn't been the case this time haha 😆

I'm heading to our local Menards soon to pick out paint and flooring for the bathroom reno, it's slowly coming along. I'll be so happy when it's done!

I went to the gym today, as it was another hot one. The feel like temp at 5pm after work was 107! I did the elliptical today as I'm trying to get in my steps to not let my partner down for the step challenge! 🚶‍♀️ It's going to be hot here until Friday or Saturday. Then this heat dome will break! Everyone has been talking about it never being this hot for this long before.

Hey all, sneaking back in at the tail end of July :) I did another 25km walk/hike/run over the weekend, I came in at 3 hours 22 minutes, it was raining, blowing a gale and 11c/51f - bit different to the last one!! I wasn't super motivated this time, but I got it done and I am super proud! This weeks steps will be light on because I am recovering (omg, my quads, my poor quads haha) and also I had minor surgery for a consistently ingrown toenail yesterday so i'm taking it wasy.

I did use "I just ran 25km!" as an excuse to eat EVERYTHING so I am getting back on track. I feel like I've been wobbling a lot these last few months, and making excuses. I know I've had mini-binges which I really hoped I was past.

    But onwards, faithful soldiers!

    Step update:

    7/26 - 6092 steps

    7/27 - 8951 steps

My weight has been tracking up again which is annoying but I'm just staying the course and focusing on practicing my tracking. Gotta trust the process!

@Alatariel75 congrats on doing another 25k! Was it in the mountains again? Your quads deserve the rest after that! And ouch...the numbing is the worst part of ingrown toenail removal 🫤

    Hi Team!

I see some familiar faces and some new members too. I'm excited to be back with you guys again. I had a hard time getting back to weight loss and ended up working with the health coach again. I really needed someone to hold my hand and check in on me. I feel like I have some good habits going and I can contribute to the team. I'm down 20lbs since May.

A quick intro: My name is Kristi and I'm 43, married with 3 kids. I live in Spokane WA in the US. I've been off and on with this team since 2019. I had a lot of stress in my life for longer than I would have liked. My husband and I both made some job changes and committed to prioritizing things that made us happy. Life is much better now with more time for family and fun. My husband and I are focusing on health together which has been a lot of fun!

    Excited to be here!

@lauren_989 hills but not mountains! It was out in wine country, so lots of pretty views, and one 5km section of national park with true trails.

You're so right, the injections were soooo painful! Recovery has been fine though, so I can't complain too much :)

Going on vacation and won’t be worrying about weight loss, but will try to keep it reasonable.

@Alatariel75 wow congrats completing the 25k! It makes complete sense that your body needed to refuel after that, and there's nothing wrong with resting especially after a medical procedure (ouch!).

@lauren_989 it has been an exceptionally hot summer this year 🥵

@ashleycarole86 it's a real bummer when the scale doesn't reflect the effort we put in. You have a great attitude though, I'm sure you'll start seeing some downward trends soon. Have you noticed any NSVs?

@conleywoods welcome back! I remember you from when I was on this team years ago 😊 I love seeing how many people come back or have been in this group long term, the people here are so supportive.

    @babyw8gone enjoy your vacation!
