I went to the gym today, as it was another hot one. The feel like temp at 5pm after work was 107! I did the elliptical today as I'm trying to get in my steps to not let my partner down for the step challenge! 🚶♀️ It's going to be hot here until Friday or Saturday. Then this heat dome will break! Everyone has been talking about it never being this hot for this long before.

LOL - Ohhh gurl! I gained more than 5. That’s what I still have to go to be at my pre-cruise weight from January 🤷🏼♀️ Next cruise is in January, hoping to be at my goal weight by then 😁

@gillis1118 - Appreciate it! I am looking forward to getting to know you better! My husband and I like to cruise as well. We haven’t been on a cruise this year, but it’s such a fun way to travel. I am also ready to get back on track as I let my weight slip.
@myndieet - Hi! 👋 Sending you a huge dose of motivation!!! It always helps me if I set my goals for the day/week, even if I don’t want to do it (haha) and it feels so great after I achieve my goal! I did it! I am back at setting goals again, I hadn’t been doing so. Let’s do it!

This is a huge motivator for ME! I didn’t want to get back on the scale, however, I knew I need to make changes. I am not happy of how my clothes are fitting and I decided to get back on the scale. I use the Renpho scale (app pic below) and I absolutely love it! It truly helps with tracking! The scale is not expensive and prices start at $23.99 on Amazon.
I am more than a number and as I am getting older, I really more concerned about my health than my size. I do still want to look good in jeans though - haha! 🤣

@HorsesRock9999 does that scale give you any other information besides weight? Like muscle mass, fat %, etc?

@myndieet your steps have been awesome this week so far! When I get in a bad spell, I tell myself to focus on one thing at a time so I don't get overwhelmed. This week you increased your steps, that's perfect! Can you keep it up next week too? Grab a fruit for a snack before eating what you really want (chips, sweets). You got this!
Today was a very busy day. Work was insane, forgot about a meeting at 6pm until my calendar reminded me 15 mins prior as I was headed to the gym. Then the book club, then packing for a beach trip this weekend. I'm in bed now and hope to fall asleep very soon!

CW: 179.8When I started this journey, my goal was to get back to 160lbs. These last 20 lbs have been a struggle. No real progress since mid-April. BUT, I feel great. I'm still working towards my goal and since my journey started, I've lost 61.4lbs. I've just started going to the gym with a friend twice a week to work on building muscle and even though there hasn't been much movement on the scale in a while, that also means I'm not regaining the weight I worked so hard to lose. Slow progress but still staying positive and motivated!

Weight is still going up, steps are where I want them to be (10.000+) for 4 days in a row.. I'm eating everything, that I'm not supposed to, that's in the house right now.. Not happy about that, but I let that be.. Challenge: not buying any new food I'm not supposed to eat, as I start full keto again on Saturday! Preparing shopping lists and pre-logging the food diary.. There's no other way than to do this again for the who-knows-how-manieth-time 🙄 It's going to be tough, but I'm ready 💪

@myndieet Awesome job on 10K steps per day! I am also at 4+ days! I have been trying to up my walk count as well. It has been super hot here and trying to get out early with the horses, etc. Smart plan on not buying food that you feel doesn’t help you with your goals! Yeah, let’s go Saturday and smart to do prepare shopping list!!

Sally, What area of Texas are you in? I used to live in Belton and then just south of Fort Worth. It's a whole different kind of hot then I was used to (grew up in Vermont, lived in Maine before Texas, and now I'm back in New Hampshire). Anyway, I love your handle. I have two horses as well and they are my passion in life! One is a retired OTTB (Ruby). The other (Rizzo) is a Dutch warmblood/thoroughbred cross. I do low-level evening (BN). Picture of Rizzo below.
Lauren, I'm back down again this week, so it must have just been water weight. I'm glad to have it gone. Here's my history:
PW: 187.4 (I was 183.9 the week before!)

NSV’s for the week 😁
Tracked 7 days in a row - 10K+ steps four out of 7 - went to 7 exercise classes - didn’t eat that enormous chunk of blue cheese that was in my dressing - I have a mango tree & froze a lot of the fruit instead of mindlessly eating them 🥭

I’m trying to figure out the best macros & calories per day for weight loss - I am thinking it’s important to have the correct percentages since I am exercising a lot. Right now I am carb 20/fat40/protein40 & 1200ish calories. I welcome any advice 😁
