Ugh I hate how this never seems to copy right. I am curious to see how my steps will look the rest of the week. I go back to work with the schools and I will be an aide this year instead of a Secretary.

Weigh in day: Monday (Actually Tuesday this week! Sorry again!)

PW: 269.6 lbsI don't know what happened there, I feel like I ate fairly reasonably, but I gained. Possibly inflammation from my workout yesterday, extra water weight? My plantar fasciitis/ankle tendonitis has been flaring up so I think I'm less active. I'm not super concerned about it at this point, gonna keep on going.

Question of the Week: What song always gets you pumped up and feeling ready to move?
@minstrelofsarcasm Anything with a good hard beat. I like a lot of different music so it's hard to just pick one. Lately "Disease" by Lady Gaga, "Kickstart My Heart" by Mötley Crüe is always a good one, and "Here It Goes Again" by OK Go.

Okay I think I’ve actually found my grooove. Calorie deficit is the way to go… I may have been eating at maintanance calories before for my body type?
I thought for sure I gained weight because my doc put me on new meds that have a little bit of a reputation for weight gain- I was super hungry. It’s a few days course though. I tried to stick to my calorie budget for the most part, ate more salads this week and did 1 intense workout and 1 super slow workout but didn’t workout as much this time d/t shark week🙄🫣

has anyone else been getting a large number of friend requests lately. I have gotten a lot of male friend requests and it shows they are brand new to mfp. Normally it wouldn’t bother me but I have had this happen before with mfp and my account was hacked. I am tempted to just closing the account.

@minstrelofsarcasm yes I am a new member. Saturday weigh-ins are perfect. I’m actually required to weigh myself every Saturday by a program I belong to. It’s called fruit street and it’s for people who are prediabetic. If your A1C and glucose levels are at a certain number, you’re accepted into the program. They send you their own scale and when you weigh yourself, your weight gets sent directly to the fruit street app. We have a zoom meeting every Saturday morning with a registered nutritionist and dietitian. You’re required to weigh yourself by Medicare, who pays for the program, before the meeting, otherwise you’ll be kicked out of the program. So far I’ve learned a lot!

I also got new friends requests since I started to be active here.
Try something new:
I really can't remember exactly per day.
I was sick so I implemented new things but without particular order
New fruit,some yellow berries, that look like yellow cherry tomato.( I think the name is Cape berry)
Instead of reading,I listen to some episodes related to psychology.
New meal: new sushi rolls
New habit: switching off my phone.
New activity, or ritual that I'm going to practice every day: stretching and having a tea on the terrace, before all other activities and duties.

I am going to start posting my daily and weekly steps today. Unfortunately, I will probably never reach 10,000 steps. I suffer from degenerative disc disease in my spine. I have also developed severe osteoarthritis in almost every part of my body. Just walking from my apartment door to my car is sometimes painful. I do water fitness and as soon as I hit the water, my pain seems to go away completely! I do exercises in the water that involves walking so I think that where I get most of my steps in. I hope this counts.

@blessedgrandma5 - Yeah, the random friend requests thing has been a problem for a while. I decline just about all of them unless it's a name I recognize from Team Weight No More. When I was still updating my blog, back when MFP had a member blog feature, I accepted every friend request… but now? Now it's a tough challenge to be added to my friendslist.
@marlalynns6304 - Luckily, 10,000 steps has no scientific basis of being "healthy", it's more of a marketing thing than anything else. As long as you are moving and taking care of your body as best as you can, you're doing it right. What kind of step goal number sounds reasonable for you?
