Shoutout to Team WaistAways for an incredible week! I want to celebrate with you all but know that the only reason for my weight loss over the past week was due to illness 😪

I am on the mend and feeling much better this week! Ready to get back into a healthy fitness and diet routine. Cheers to an incredible week ahead!! 🤩💥💝

Hi WaistAways! I'm getting excited about our intramural team bingo sprint to the New Year! I added youse guys to the list, Vikki and Ashley :).

Vikki, haha, love the kittens in here! I mean, who doesn't love kittens, right? rofl it makes me smile every time I see it :-)). Yay another Bingo player!!

Steph, you def do NOT have to give an answer now, the game doesn't start until our September chat. I was just putting out feelers, seeing if anyone wanted to join me, and giving ideas for different ways you could make your board task. I love the idea of weekly challenges, like we have here, and at BLC and Hogwarts, but I like the idea of remembering to keep in mind my own goals, so I'm getting somewhere with respect to reaching them ;P. Or at least making a good effort to do so :D (I can't control the outcome, but I can control the inputs/my actions & efforts, right?). Altho, I did actually make my Sep and Oct boards challenge-centric :p. (My Aug board is focused on my personal goals, at least, lol)

Ashley, got you added to the list (and yay!). FUN, on the little vacation-not-a-vacation! Sounds like a lovely weekend. And you're still new to the city, right, so why NOT make your weekend into a holiday? :D

JACKIE ! nice! on throwing off that vacation gain, plus more! Well done, you! You've been killing it all summer.

Hey Candace! Awww, sorry that you were so poorly, yay for feeling better! And, nvm the reason, heck being sick is like combat duty, you should get double credit (and, besides, you still lost the weight!). Xx

Bingo Team WaistAways Sprint to the New Year! starting in September:

@micki48 , are you in? :D I think you were interested, not certain tho. And @stephanodda , no, you def do not have to decide right now. You can noodle it awhile, lmk when we migrate to our September chat. (((hugs)))

Anyone else up for a sprint to the end of the year? grin

    Checking in!

Busy work day. Brad is making a beautiful salmon dinner. Movement is low - had some admin tasks to do once I got home. Hopefully we can get out for a walk before bed but it's smoking hot here - was +38C! Just waiting for it to cool down a bit.

I leave for UK in a month and a half and I'd really like to be down a bit of weight before I go. Nothing is comfortable at this size!

Last call for my lovely steppers - hoping to have the report for the week ending on August 23 out by tomorrow or Wednesday.

I hope everyone is having a good Monday! Work was stressful for me and I looked high and low for something to snack on. Luckily (or unluckily) I didn't have anything except what I brought, so no damage done!

@mkksemail I love the idea of bingo! I am just super busy I don't think I can add one more thing to my plate. I have my monthly calendar that I track my weight, calories, steps, and exercise daily on.

@whitfcan I hope you feel better soon! Don't be surprised if you gain a few pounds once you start eating again.

Oh and I saw the kitten on other posts and thought it was their way of swearing, not MFP changing it 🤣

    Here are my steps

    IMG_2775.png

@mkksemail Im not sure I understand the BINGO card but I will attempt playing and work on understanding it. I need a boost too.

I love the blow ups but never had one but I do decorate my porch with witches’ hats and I have some really cool floating candles that you turn on with a Potter-like wand.

Today’s was back to school for me. No kids yet but already my step count it up. Pretty sure I was over 7,000 steps before I got.home.

Logged my food. Was kinda snacks when I came home but I logged it. I need to drink more water when I want to snack.

Congratulations team on 2nd place and to our biggest losers.

Need to go hydrate now! 💦💧💦🥤

    Hi Team!

Today was back to school for me too! It was a good day. Had a great lunch with my husband. We started making "adult Lunchables" for lunch time. They have turned out pretty good. We also got a lunch time walk in. Im working on keeping my exercise schedule going.

Yesterday was great as for movement and food choices but right before bed I felt snacky so I had a bowl of Cheerios… not the worst but not ideal. I did have a lot of activity yesterday so maybe that's why I was hungry. I probably needed more protein too, I didn't eat a full lunch, just kinda snacked on what extras the kids didn't eat.

My son's preschool teachers came for a visit to get to know him and talk about what to expect. I'm excited for him to go to this program, I've heard so many good things from other parents of autistic kids, and my son loves school.

I took the kids for a walk yesterday and it was beautiful outside. My daughter (18 mos) gets bored after a while though so I think I need to start bringing her some toys.

Hopefully at work today I have at least 1 client that wants to go for a walk. It's supposed to be another beautiful day, sunny and in the low 70s.

I hope everyone enjoys the day!

Reading all the teachers back to school and talk of kids returning… wow, hard to believe it's that time again. For the teachers, do you get excited to go back, or is it hard to see the summer break come to an end?

Last night Brad and I took it easy. The weekend wiped us out. Hoping we can be more active today.

Happy Tuesday, Team Bright and Shiny! It's raining inspo in here again, and I love it!

Lauren, no worries, I am happy to have some folks to play Bingo with, it doesn't need to be everyone =).

And, Michele, happy to have you join in! Adding you to the list :D. I'll make the Bingo cards for our first month, for our Bingo players, so it's not complicated to start up. All you'll need to do in prep is come up with a list of 22 tasks - whatever you wish, and include some fun ones, too! - and I'll populate the card. Then you check off the boxes as you go, aiming for a 'blackout Bingo'. You get 5 pts per box checked off (max 125 pts), 10 pts per Bingo (max 120 pts), and 50 pts bonus for 'blackout Bingo' (ie all squares checked off. It's just a fun way to motivate yourself to get your *kitten* done (haha, threw that one in for you, Lauren, lmao that you didn't know it was a MFP thing! 😂🤣😹). Working with others at the same time is just somehow fun/more motiviting :D. Nice! on your successful back-to-school! It must be fun, right at the beginning, just before kids start coming - clean slate, everything is new again, anything is possible. Love that feeling!

Ashley, steps incoming on the next post! I have to get used to reporting steps before my weigh-in. While you were gone, I was just sending steps and weigh-in in one go, and sweet Lauren let me be lazy without telling me it was an issue. heh~ Yayyyy trip to the UK in 6+ wks! Okay, girl, we're gonna get you buffed, jacked, and ready to go ! :D

Jackie, good luck with home visit! That is so cool that the teachers come for a visit and get to know their students ahead of time. Sounds like an excellent school for your son 💙.

Kristi, FUNNN on the adult lunchables and lunch date with hubby! Congrats on successful back-to-school 🙌. Does hubby work at the same school with you, or did you guys meet up for your lunch date?

@babyw8gone, ^5 on the weigh-in and successful back-to-school! Weekend, smeekend, you got this! Boss those weekends into submission :D. :D. :D. Hey, what name do you like to go by, btw?

Got in my PTEs yesterday, and 2 Flex workouts. Today is ST machines at PF, plus spinning, as well as PTEs. Mad sprint to finish my August Turtle Team Bingo by next Wednesday :p. Wishing you all a lovely Tuesday ~ Cheers, mk :)

Bingo Team WaistAways Sprint to the New Year! starting in September:

Bingo Players ! :) I just typed this as part of another post, but putting here in a separate post, so it doesn't blend in / get lost. I'll have our spreadsheet ready for next Sunday (hopefully), since that is the start of September Week 1, here in F2F (I think it is, I should say).

I'll populate the first of the 4-month Sprint-to-the-New Year for each of us, so you don't have to sort out how the list and randomizing etc all work, at the beginning. For now, all that's needed is to start to think about your list, and what you want to put on it. I gave some examples, so you could see how I did my Bingo card in August (repeated items, all personal-goal focused), as well as for the coming 2 months, September and October (all challenge-focused, primarily Harry Potter themed, but not exclusively). Here is another example board - this is the example given in Slytherin House, for Slytherin students to use to help populate their own Bingo boards:

Bingo Hogwarts T56 Example Board, Slytherin Houe, F2F Example Board as well 08 26 25.png

So anyway, those are just some ideas / possibilities. You can fill your list of 22 tasks however you'd like your September focus to be!

(I lifted that last bit about the scoring, wholesale, from my previous post ;-).)

Any questions, shout them out! Otherwise, just start making up your list. Plenty of time until we start, so no pressure. I hope I didn't accidentally leave anyone off the list. And if you're not on the list, but want to join, you're most welcome, ofc! Cheers, ~ mk :)

@mkksemail I also slacked on the reporting of the steps 🤣 I have been also helping with team Downsizers since their captain is out sick and typically did the step results the Sunday following the prior week. @ashleycarole86 is on point!

@ashleycarole86 I am not a teacher, but I can't imagine having a summer off! I would enjoy that but wouldn't want to go back to work.

Today is my half day at work and it is gorgeous out! I plan to do more yardwork that I neglected most of the summer and go for a walk.

@jguldi11 I hope you had a client want to go for a walk today!

@Gidgitgoescrzy very little annoys me more than people who are late and disrespectful of other people's time. That kind of delay is completely inexcusable and it's sad that you have to put up with it to keep the peace. I get that your husband wants to see them, but that doesn't mean they can be downright rude, and that is!!

@ jguldi11 I was thinking of doing a Dinnerly thing, just to get out of my own way food wise and take some of the thinking out of it. That recipe sounds interesting… Isn't it weird how long we will go with being only so-so with our surroundings, the place we live every single day, and then when we finally do "fix" it, it's such an incredible mood booster.

@ashleycarole86 salmon is my fav!! Especially when it is hot.

    Steps:

    Aug 20 - 20993
    Aug 21 - 21143
    Aug 22 - 17732
    Aug 23 - 28910
    Aug 24 - 18850
    Aug 25 - 13586
    Aug 26 - 15516

@lauren_989 could I please change my weigh in to Friday? I used to have Friday as my weigh in day and it worked for me because I'd get bloated over the weekend and have the week to drop back, now it's more often that I'm muscle-sore from the weekend, and that still shows on the scales mid-week!

heh, what a cute little sausage dog story! And, good point, on the "tender appendages" not being best suited to robot manipulation ! ;-)

I am desperately trying to pretend I didn't promise myself I'd finish a full 12-exercise PTE routine tonight. 2/3 of the way done. Man, it's been tough getting it going again, after slacking off during knee injections, and Ren-Faire-ing!

    Cheers all~ mk :)

@YinxFed I had one of those the other day too, first time and I'm very glad it was a lovely lady and not a robot haha. My 'tender appendages' were grateful!!

@lauren_989 I am usually ready to go back to school and it is exciting to set up the classroom and prepare for a new set of kids. If you all could see the miracle teachers pull off in such a short time to get their rooms in shape before the kids arrive. It is amazing. Lauren, we are 10 month employees, meaning we only get paid for that ten months. (Although many have it divided over twelve to get paid over the summer. ) So it’s not really a vacation. And believe me the job is hard work. We need that time to regroup before the next year starts.

My steps are way up going back to work. I also went to our gym and did a quick leg workout, really quick. Just one machine. 😂

Food is logged and under. For the next three days they are feeding us at school so that will present some challenges. Today I only had fruit. So that was good.

I may ask AI to help me come up with 22 things for my board. I have to do an Ai project for school. It can also make memes and workouts. That’s kinda neat.

    Have a good one.

I find it ironic that the topic of AI has come up here as we recently were offered the opportunity to use AI to write our progress notes at work. It has the staff divided as many feel uncomfortable with it while others look forward to the help with documentation. I've decided not to use it, for one thing I'd have to pay for it, and I would not be comfortable if my medical provider asked to record my session in order to use AI to write their note, so I don't feel it's ethical to ask my clients. Not judging others who do choose to use it, but it's not for me.

Today I was on track with eating and exercise, can't complain!

@YinxFed your sausage dog story had me laughing 😆 sounds like he was all bark but no bite

@mkksemail I've started working on my bingo list! Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be 24 items? 25 minus the free space? Or am I misunderstanding something... it's very possible I'm missing something lol.

@Alatariel75 yes it really is baffling how I let almost a decade go by without taking the time to make my home more homey. I felt very overwhelmed by it, interior design is not my thing, so I'm very grateful I had help from my artistic sister in-law! I swear I get a hit of dopamine every time I admire our work 😊

@lauren_989 I did not have any clients that wanted to walk today unfortunately, but the group challenge motivated me to dance with my daughter for 40 minutes, so at least I got activity that way.

@micki48 I applaud teachers! I could never do that job. Y'all have the patience of a saint!

@YinxFed That made me chuckle thinking about a robot doing a mammogram! 🤣 Also, I use AI in my job. It helps me write my notes and is a huge time saver!

Jackie, you only need 22 items for your list, bc it includes not just a Free Square, but 2 Player's Choice squares that you fill in later. The Players Choice gives you a little bit of freedom, and a better chance at Blackout, if you need to shift gears mid-game :-). Ofc, you could just fill in the two Players Choice right off the bat, if you prefer to plot out the full 24 in advance :-).

PS - wtg on starting your list! Xx
