@FushiaKat – My local stores don’t sell K-Grapes, but I’m totally gonna keep an eye out!
@DrewsAnna – Nice loss! Am I reading it correctly that they put the stents in Tuesday? Like at the doctor’s office? I always assumed that was a surgical procedure. I hope it works and you don’t have to have anything more invasive done.
@19shmoo69 – I’m glad you found something to help with your digestive issues. Is your son ok? Hopefully nothing more than a bruise or two from the awkward landing. I wish the doctors could do something to get them under control. Oh, your poor wife. Two surgeries back-to-back ☹ I hope she heals quickly!
@gemwolf110 – Goose trend sounds funny as we here in Michigan suffered through that back in the late 1990’s. I bought one for my mom’s Birthday. That concrete goose weighed about 80 pounds! I also bought a set of 12 outfits – one for each month. Believe it or not, someone stole it out of the front yard a few months later. So, I just started putting the outfits on my little kitty, Stormie LOLs
@laurelfit57 – I am so sorry about your mother. I hope they get it figured out quickly. Hugs on the stress eating.
@Katmary71 – How fun that you’re getting the awesome roommate back!
@trooworld – I’m gonna start working on my 31 Nights of Halloween movie list soon…so let me know if you have any other recommendations! (Anyone else is welcome to recommend horror movies, too!)
@TeresaW2024 – So glad there’s no more Zoom garbage for you to deal with. Have fun with the new logo! A ramp would be great for you to take him on some afternoon car rides. I thought you had a nurse that came to sit with Joe so you could run quick errands? I’m sorry you’re going stir crazy ☹
Made a few good choices yesterday and when I wanted to have a little binge session, it was with pita chips and hummus. That makes me feel fuller faster, so that’s a win. I’m just feeling exhausted working Monday through Friday and then having Oliver in the evenings Wednesday through Sunday. I love the little guy, but man do I get NOTHING around the house done. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Thursday! It’s my super busy day at work, so I better get to my next meeting! TTYL!
2025 is MY year! (LOLs I almost wrote 2024!)

WEIGH IN UPDATE
WEIGH IN DUE TODAY FROM @askewcr
Reminder To Weigh In Tomorrow To @Cornanda @davors19 @littlebabekitty @trooworld0 -
@gemwolf110 You post the best memes they always make me smile! The meal planning and the goose trend look so fun! You’ll have to show us what your goose is modeling when you change it!
@bobboyardee That’s frustrating to end up with meat in your food I’m sorry.
@FushiaKat What do K grapes taste like? OK just saw they’re Korean Muscat grapes that can be found at Whole Foods and on Amazon, I may hunt them down soon! Big green grapes or different? I tried the cotton candy ones thinking they were regular so they didn’t taste right, haven’t tried them again. I got some neat grapes from the farmer’s market last week that looked like purple fingers and were real good.
@trooworld I think sometimes when starting a new routine soreness can last for awhile but if you can barely move that’s not good. I’ve noticed whenever I do new arm routines benching always makes me real sore for days until I adapt. I’m going through that right now doing all my PT exercises again I honestly was going to skip working out but decided to do the resistance bands and other stuff but not the weights today as I’m having a bad pain day. Thank you! I’m glad you liked the recipe, when I made it last time I threw chicken in the Instant Pot and did the pumpkin seed/prosciutto in the oven and did the dressing and salad later. Functional fitness is my main goal I had a woman impressed to see me hauling a 25lb box of litter without a cart (I probably shouldn’t with my back but it was an impulse purchase). Your lunch sounds wonderful aside of traffic on the way home. I hope you can replace the knee pads good luck.
WHAT’S ONE STRATEGY YOU USE TO GET BACK ON TRACK AFTER A DAY OR WEEK THAT DIDN’T GO AS PLANNED? Just get back to logging and exercising and avoiding junk not that I’ve been great at it lately.
@micaroo4 I think you nailed it with getting back to the normal schedule and not staying “off” it.
@TeresaW2024 Hugs I’m sorry to meeting didn’t go well. OMG I’m loving this pastor and his family coming to bring you gifts and song, what beautiful people! Got me all weepy-eyed here you think it’s time to take a step back and they let you know how important you and Joe are to your church family. Did Joe enjoy the children being there? Oh I hope the ramp works out you and Joe need pumpkin spice lattes (or lower calorie cold brew pumpkin cream) and a country ride!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Thank you for the tea info! Your stamp club sounds like a lot of fun. I need to try that tea I’m putting it on my grocery list!
@DrewsAnna How scary I hope the stents are successful and you won ’t need repairs.
@19shmoo69 Wow I ’m so glad more fat helped your digestive issues so quickly! Your poor son I’m sorry to hear about his seizure. Ouch I hope your wife is feeling better soon, that’s a lot of surgery in a month I hope she’s feeling better soon and no wonder we haven’t seen much of you! Gemwolf110 has stepped up to be motivator.
@laurelfit57 Prayers up for your mom, that’s awful BP I hope it stays down and she continues getting stronger.
@AustinRuadhain Losing posts here is the worst! I finally stopped completely trying on my phone to reply but still lose ones if I don’t do the separate word document sometimes. The vet was suspicious of toxoplasmosis but she just called me and officially said she believes Luke has mild CH and it’s not toxoplasmosis and he’s ready for adoption. ROFL I think drama happens everywhere, I’m still fuming at the garden club president for saying those of us with the farm too did nothing last year but give leftover plants for the plant sale when I started and cared for over 800 plants at the greenhouse. WTH are people fighting about with science education and gardening for crying out loud?! The charity I was with to help low income, disabled, and elderly with daily household tasks that also had special events the president was the most toxic person ever. Hugs I hope it improves. Oh no I hope Piku and Habibi are getting along better soon. I’m actually reconsidering fostering because Asher got fleas that I think are gone but he’s stressed from the kittens and has overgroomed his entire stomach and thighs at this point. His brother is dealing with the kitten stress by being domineering to Asher which makes Asher worse.
@Veta2018 Great job exercising daily, staying within calorie goals, and checking in you’re doing wonderful!
Hi friends! That was a long catch-up love all the great conversations! I got Luke’s test results back he’s negative for toxoplasmosis so he’s officially diagnosed with mild CH. Today I went to the greenhouse and we started collard greens and broccoli raab then thinned everything there. My greenhouse partner was gone last week and I was slammed then this week was light, doesn't that figure? She brought me apples and figs from her trees which are delicious. I went to the community garden after and all of us with tomatoes are infested with leaf footed bugs which are gross, I had some nymphs stay on my tomatoes and come home with me! I’d forgotten my clippers in the greenhouse so I couldn’t get much done so I came home and did stuff around the house. Been having a tough time with pain during sleep where I’m waking up and not getting much rest which is awful when tomorrow and Saturday are adoption events and in the morning tomorrow is the farm and pain clinic. A few of the women have offered to cover for me to watch my kittens at Petco if I need to for home and rest but I don’t want to miss saying goodbye to the kittens and getting to know their new families. I talked to a retired woman yesterday wanting a single cat she can harness and have in backpacks to take places with her and my Stubby sounds like a perfect fit but she hasn't decided yet. Doing pretty good with food and exercise. I think on Memorial Day the local CRPS support group will be getting together at an ice cream shop. Gotta run and clean litterboxes have a great Friday! May not be around much until Sunday but I’ll post all the weigh in details.

@AustinRuadhain - science education drama?! Yikes. Not fun. Losing posts? Also not fun. Cat drama too? boy oh boy. I know you will figure out how to get back to mindfulness. I tend to make lists that are too long to actually get done and then get mad at myself for not finishing - I've started writing them like this: Priority/must do, Nice to get done, bonus- I don't get mad at myself when I don't finish this type of list.
@gemwolf110 - I am in the South and we have had a pair of dressed up geese in our neighborhood for 14 years!
@laurelfit57 - Hope thing get figured out with your Mom- Hugs!
@Katmary71 - yay for your roommate/friend returning! Happy for you! You do amazing work at the farm, I'm still mad at that nasty lady who said that. You are like a matchmaker for your kittens- love it. Hugs to your grown up kitties who are struggling
@TeresaW2024 - How sweet of your pastor and his family. Please ask your hospice nurse how you can get out of the house for a little bit. You need to take care of yourself too!
Friday! Last day at work and then off all next week. Woot woot!

@AustinRuadhain I am very thankful for my church family and how well they have loved us. We did see the hospice nurse, and she will be back today. She wouldn’t sit with Joe. That isn’t her job. I would have to hire someone, and I don’t want to do that. Not just for a Starbucks! 😀 Ugh, I am sorry that you are dealing with drama. What is wrong with grown-ups these days! Poor Piku, having to be chased out of his own home! I hope they all settle down and learn to get along with each other. ☺️
@vegan4lyfe2012 Nope, no nurse to sit with him. She comes by and checks his vitals and orders whatever supplies I need. It’s fine! I’m sure taking care of Oliver is awesome, but also exhausting. The good news is that they do grow up and get a little easier. 🙂 Ohh I saw this video last night of a woman who stamped a whole pattern onto a wall in her home. Made me think of you and your stamping. 🙂
@Katmary71 Joe did enjoy the kids, but was also very confused over what they were doing. It was great! 😆 Gross about the tomato bugs!! How do you get rid of them? I’m sorry you have been having pain while sleeping. Is there something different you can try? Aw, I know you want to say goodbye to the babies, but you also need to be mindful of your health, so go home if you need to. ♥️
@Cornanda I know I need to get out of the house, but leaving Joe with someone is not something I want to do. So, I’m hoping the new ramp will let me put him in the car for a ride. We shall see! Congrats on your loss! 😀
@trooworld What a cute pet rock!! So is the workshop for kids? Will it be at your work? Girl, you just gotta keep at it with those skates and you will be cruising along in no time! 🙂That is a tiny gain, and yes, you know that lifting weights creates water weight issues. Just keep on keeping on!! ♥️
Good morning! Joe has developed a UTI, but I got an antibiotic yesterday from hospice, so hopefully it will be over quickly. Our ramp will arrive later, and I’m really hoping it will do the trick to get him up and out. His sundowning in the afternoons is killing me with his constant wanting to get out of his chair. Maybe a change of scenery will help. I know it will help me! 😀 I have my workout clothes on and I’m about to jump on my rebounder. My back and feet have been hurting a lot, and I know that is from a lack of movement. Have a great day! 🙂2 -

Hi 👋
@vegan4lyfe2012 it was a surgical procedure at the hospital. I probably didn't explain it right… lol… I was probably still a bit rummy dummy.…
Sometime in abouts the last 5 years or so I developed an adhesive allergy. I have a horrible rash/hives on my lower abdomen from the sticky stuff that was on the cape/blanket they put on me during prep. It's so irritating because it itches so bad.
I think maybe today I'm going to do some easy walking on my little road. Chipper will enjoy running back and forth and I will enjoy the short little walk. I need to get back to tracking, but I haven't been eating very much since I got home.
That's about all I got for now. Y'all have a great day 😀

Hi Slimpossibles!
I'm back from vacation. We are getting a bit of a downpour here right now. Rain is MUCH needed.
@DrewsAnna - I hope the stent procedure is enough and your blood flows through your arteries as it should.
@TeresaW2024 - I was reading something this morning, a study shows that patients on antibiotics may develop a resistant strain of bacteria if they are also taking ibuprofen and/or acetaminophen, and the risk is greater if they are taking both ibuprofen and acetaminophen at the same time. UTIs are very common in dementia patients, because they aren't drinking enough water.
I have to stop my chat now… Rich is shaving and he uses 'Lectric Shave, which smells just awful and pretty much fills the house with toxic fumes. Maybe not toxic, but I'm getting OUT of the house for 45 minutes until he's done. He's under strict orders NOT to touch the cat until he's all done and has thoroughly washed his hands!

WEIGH IN UPDATE
WEIGH INS DUE TODAY FROM @littlebabekitty
Reminder To Weigh In Tomorrow To @baodell17724 @digger61 @gemwolf110No luck tonight with adoptions for any of us pretty disappointing! We're trying to get Fridays going but it's new so people don't know about it plus a lot of rescues including us are having discounts this weekend because we're slammed with kittens but we aren't as cheap as some of the others. I only took two kittens, tomorrow will be the whole gang. I made another batch of pumpkin zucchini muffins and they were a huge hit but I ate more than I should have.
@micaroo4 Welcome back! Want to take over tomorrow or Sunday? I'll peek in tomorrow night to make sure you have it covered. Had to laugh at me Googling Lectric Shave it said this:
Lectric Shave has a mild, masculine scent that some describe as reminiscent of citrus and alcohol, with a strong initial aroma that tends to fade quickly after use. The newer formulation includes green tea extracts, which may give it a more pleasant and subdued fragrance compared to older versions.

@TeresaW2024 - I get it- he sounds challenging to manage right now, likely responds best to direction from you and a big fall could occur if someone can't manage him. Hugs and prayers for you my friend.

Weigh-In: SATURDAY
Starting Weight: 286.2 lbs (6 / 1 / 2024)
Past Weight: 200.6 lbs
Current Weight: 198.0 lbs
DOWN 2.6 lbs 😮
——————
Exercise💦: 5 hours this week
[Before I got on the scale - nekkid! - I figured I had gained weight again. I was shocked to see the scale "say" I "lost" 2.2 lbs since yesterday. I've come to think my scale is a "practical joker". He just LOVES to keep me guessing as to whether I've lost or I've gained !!! That said, it was a strange eating week, of just one meal a day (12 noon), with a few tiny, healthy "snacks" in the afternoon and evening. Also going to bed at 7:30-8pm and waking up between 5-6am. My exercising was down this week, which it shouldn't have been since I do feel I have more energy since starting to take Iron pills a month ago.]

@micaroo4 That is an interesting study about antibiotics. Joe rarely takes ibuprofen or acetaminophen. He has bladder retention and, since being in hospice, now has a permanent catheter, which makes UTIs much more of a risk. And yes, he doesn’t drink near enough, and I’m constantly trying to get him to drink something. Ohhh my goodness, my dad used Lectric Shave, and I just had a memory of the smell. I would get out of the house, too. 😃
@Katmary71 Oh, that is a shame that no one wanted a kitty. Hopefully, soon they will find their new homes. 🙂
@trooworld Yeah, UTIs are just part of the party we are currently living in. My ramp did arrive, but I haven’t tested it out yet. I worked out, and it felt great. You look so cute in your bike helmet! I hope you can get out and skate soon and that your weather cools down so you can enjoy it! 😃
Good morning! My sister brought home beer last night, and I made pizza for dinner. This morning, my stomach is upset. Serves me right! Joe and I did have a good night’s sleep, and hopefully we will have a good day. The girls are coming over tonight, so I will make them their pancakes and bacon for dinner. Have a good day! 🙂3 -
@trooworld i could attempt the tracker again. I didn’t do great with the August tracker. I forgot I was doing it.

@trooworld i set up my September teacher spot. I know it’s none of my busboy it looked like you and @micaroo4 set up in downsizes. Let me know if I looked at it wrong.

@Katmary71 -- So, what ended up happening with the science education group is that someone I have known for ages, has resigned from the board, bailed on co-leading a program a couple of days before the kickoff, and pulled their kid from the program. They just… stomped off a couple of days before the fall program started, leaving other people to pick up after them. We had the kickoff yesterday, with me now co-leading the middle school science enrichment program. The kickoff went really well, and I think we will have a great year. It was all a bit of a shock, this is a person I have been acquainted with for years. They are intelligent and charismatic, great qualities for someone at the front of the room for a program, but also super insecure and want to ignore rules (a problem as the program they were coleading is a local chapter of a national group that has some participation rules). Phew! Anyway, they are out of the picture and life is moving on!
I am so glad to hear that Luke’s CH is mild. I hope he and all the kittens win someone’s heart at Petco! And I hope the retired woman falls for Stubby! Poor Asher! Fostering kittens is super generous, but I can see that he may not see the upside. Poor baby! I am sorry to hear sleep is being a problem lately. I hope that works out. (I have been having sleep issues this week, too. Just anxiety rather than pain, but I do so sympathize!) 💪 Hurray for your doing well with food and exercise!
@davors19 -- 🎉 Boom! Great weigh-in! Congratulations on a fabulous week!
@Cornanda -- Yes! I need to mark items on my lists by priority! 🎉 Hurray for the great weigh-in! Now you are in the 140’s! Woohoo!
@trooworld -- Habibi is a little over 2 years old. He was a tiny little rescue kitten in summer 2023. Now he’s a big strong adult, full of energy, and seems to be feeling very alpha cat. The pet rocks program sounds like great fun! Practicing more on the skates sounds like a smart way to build skills and confidence.
@TeresaW2024 - Sundowning sounds like such a challenge. It sounds like he is restless, and also too unstable to do anything with that restlessness? I hope you had a great session on the rebounder! Berr and pizza —- you wild women, you! I hope the tummy feels better later today.
@askewcr -- 🎉 Great weigh-in!
@DrewsAnna - I am so sorry about the itching! Did you get out for that easy walk with Chipper? That sounded like it could be fun.
@micaroo4 -- Your comments about your husband and Lectric Shave made me smile. I went to see what it was, and an Amazon post informed me that it is “the perfect scent for work and play.” Evidently opinions differ! 🤣 😂 Is it a sentimental thing for your husband? It seems like it has been around for ages.
@baodell17724 — 🎉 Boom! What a great weigh-in! I was interested that you had a bump after a wierd week. For me, I am pretty sure that mixing things up is helpful. If I work out super hard for weeks on end, my body adapts. If I mix things up a bit, that sometimes helps break up a plateau.
@alimalli86 - Hurray for just a small gain after that all-inclusive vacation! Welcome back! Here's to smashing it! 😀

@19shmoo69 - You are correct! I moved myself and @trooworld to the Mission Slimpossibles tab on the September Tracker spreadsheet.

@vegan4lyfr2012 - When I have our little man I don't get anything around the house done either.
@baodell17724 - Congratulations on the loss this week.
@trooworld - Wow, I'm shocked the gym is not air-conditioned.
Smash It in September!
It was a good week fitness wise. I could have done a little better with my food choices. We will have our grandson son for the day, so I got up early and did my workouts and house cleaning. Maybe, I will invite some family over for a cookout on Monday. There's also a Labor Day festival in the next town. They have a live band. I'm going to meet my sister there. She is going to be in town this weekend. She's a traveling surgical tech. She's been working in Michigan for the past couple months. Her next job will be in Indianapolis. So she will still be sort of local.
💪Mission Slimpossible Strong!💪
