    Hi 👋

Yesterday was national relaxation day 😌 and it was raining and I had a few hours to myself. So, I went with the flow. It was nice to have a little me time and desperately needed.

I didn't finish tracking in my diary last night, I did a little bit of snacking. I don't know why because I definitely wasn't hungry. It didn't even taste good.

Today, we are back to sunshine and low 70's, and I have lots I need to do.

At some point, I'm going to try @Veta2018 suggestion and check out senoirshape with Lauren.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

I am so sorry I have been so absent on here. This has just been the craziest summer. My brother and his family left on Friday, we had a great time! We only get to see each other a few times a year and it is always lots of fun. we went out to my niece's farm yesterday for a family barbeque and lots of shenanigans lol. This morning I am getting ready to to volunteer at a big dog agility competition. Next week my grandkids will be with me for a few days and then leaving to go camping on Friday, I will be back Sunday night.
My weight is getting out of control, I really need to rain things in! It has been a summer full of barbeques etc.

I am going to try to check in next week, I know by the time I get back tonight I will probably just fall into bed. Hope everybody has a great Sunday!!

@gemwolf110 Congrats on the loss . Did you have fun at the reunion? Thanks for the insightful Sunday post!

@laurelfit57 I'm glad you are enjoying your summer with family . I hope the agility competition goes well.

Hi all. We didn't end up going to the zoo, my husband didn't feel like it. We went for coffee instead. The oil change didn't work out either: I showed up on time but sat waiting for someone to help me for 20 minutes. Finally, someone puts the paperwork under my wipers and said someone will be with me but after a total of 30 minutes, nobody helped me so I decided to leave. I was so mad because it was such a waste of my time. My DH and I went for the rest of our groceries and then came home. The briefcase was delivered in the morning, thankfully. Today is our "Day of Romance." I am making a special dinner: Beef tips with gravy + brown butter mashed potatoes + maple miso roasted carrots + reduced sugar chocolate pudding cake. We are just going to hang out today and spend time with each other.

    Tracked yesterday? YES!

@Cornanda I can feel your emotions in your post. I’m glad your dad’s surgery went well. Yes, I know full well how humbling it is to have to do things that are very personal because their privacy must be invaded for their good. As for your job, I hope you can find a way to feel appreciated and valued for what you do. If not, maybe it’s time to dust off that resume. (((((HUGS)))))

@trooworld Yes , throw away the gummy candy!! I don’t know what makes us constantly sabotage ourselves. Why do we think flavor is a good reason to eat things we know are bad for us? My sister brought home some cookies from work that are sitting on my counter, and I’m doing my best to remember that they will only be yummy for a few moments, and then the flavor will be over, but the needless calories will remain. We gotta stop the madness!!🤐 Poor little toothless dog! 😞 I hope you have a great “Day of Romance!” ❣️

@gemwolf110 I looked up the Profeel Pudding, and it looks amazing! Unfortunately, it is not yet available in my area. Hopefully it will be soon! I just saw a video that mixes Greek yogurt with sugar-free cheesecake pudding mix. It looked so good and was very high in protein! 🙂

@laurelfit57 You enjoy your summer! We aren’t going anywhere. 😀

Good morning! It’s always so much fun to wake up to the girls and their chatter. We had an in-depth conversation about why cats are so crazy! 😂 My scale was down this morning, and I plan to keep it that way. Not much else is happening today, which is NOT a bad thing. 😉

@AustinRuadhain still dealing with the plantar fasciitis. Been to an orthopedist and physio. Getting really annoying. I keep walking and doing elliptical though.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I’m back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off (sigh). However, that means I get to do a better job at controlling my food as I’m not constantly surrounded by snacks.

@AustinRuadhain You did one of my fav Leslie Sansone videos! I still have VHS tape ones too.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Hugs and prayers sent up for you. Since I got Orgain protein powder at Costco and it didn’t have the scoop I’ve started saving scoops from other powder drinks I use. Even if you found the 30g fit in the measuring spoon such as 1/4th it would be faster than weighing it. IF you have a different clear scoop you could mark it where it’s 30g for the current one. The eating cycle you’re in is so frustrating I have similar with my pain and mental health always go with it. Great advice from @AustinRuadhain she brought up a good point on hormones being an issue right now. Love the idea from @micaroo4 on swapping the drinks with tea another cup of tea would be perfect and like treating yourself .

@Cornanda Thank you! I’m so glad your Dad did well after surgery. That mattress sounds challenging definitely doesn’t sound fun! Huge hug on your Mom, that sounds so sad. From what your manager said I’m thinking it was more of a “her” thing, I hope you both get more comfortable with some time together and maybe it will help going forward with communicating that this happened?

HOW I CAN FINISH THE MONTH STRONG: I’m going to think on this one! I think I need to cut back my normal goals a bit, between my cat allergies and pain lately I’m real worn out. 1. Commit to 4 days of working out (two upper two lower body), 2. Make a new recipe 3. Make time to read.

@trooworld Love the Day of Romance, Happy Anniversary! I hope your husband is up for the games too they sound fun. Ugh I hope you get your briefcase how frustrating. Your dinner sounds delicious hope today is extra special for you both.

@TeresaW2024 Oh no with the family meal sounds like you’ll be doing a lot of trimming! Hope your bestie time was wonderful. Oh no I hope Joe’s nurse shows up too! Love imagining you waking up to the chatty girls, the crazy cat talk sounds up my alley!

@bobboyardee Lots of great advice to @vegan4lyfe2012 it resonates with me too , thank you! There’s a lot of great 1 ounce scoops on Amazon I just checked. Even if it’s bingeing healthy foods it’s not as bad as how sugar and alcohol hit the body the difference in my pain is at least 1 pain level worse with both. I’ve never come across Senior Shape Fitness thanks for mentioning it you’re full of great information this week! That’s great news glad to hear you’re feeling more energy!

@littlebabekitty Yay on the measurement decreases, wtg!

@DrewsAnna I remember you saying how much dancing cheers you up what about dancing for 1 song? I use that to trick myself when I don’t want to work out. Big hugs to you.

@Veta2018 Oh my goodness is that photo your grandson? What a cutie!

@gemwolf110 How was the reunion? I hope you had a great time! Love the self care message.

@laurelfit57 Great to see you sounds like a family-filled summer!

@sleepygirl79 Are you feeling anything is helping the plantar fasciitis? Good luck being back at work tomorrow.

GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES IN 3RD PLACE! Great job top winners @Veta2018 @Cornanda @baodell17724 !

Hi friends! I was behind 51 messages, yikes I don’t think that’s ever gotten so high even when I had back surgery! Not much new going on here, I went and test drove a car at CarMax and it rode super rough. My car to trade in is next to nothing and they said it has transmission issues so now I’m scared to drive it. We looked at other cars and I found a great one but it’s already reserved so I’m hoping they don’t buy it so I can swoop in. Took a long nap after walking all over CarMax and am behind on everything so I need to get moving. Was hoping to start my fall seeds but the kitchen’s a mess. Have a great Monday.

WOO HOO TEAM! Congrats on achieving 1st place for the week! Congrats to @Veta2018 @Cornanda and @baodell17724 for leading the way !

@TeresaW2024 Right ? I am throwing that crap away as soon as I get to work lol. Can you ask your sister to put the cookies in her room? Yeah, Daisy doesn't seem bothered by being toothless lol. She does have some teeth, although she won't let us look in her mouth to tell how many lol. Thank you! I'm glad you had fun with the nieces. Fun conversation. Are they leaving today? Yay for the scale being down!

@sleepygirl79 Ugh about the plantar fasciitis . So painful. Good luck getting back to work. I hope you don't have a million emails waiting for you!

@txcritter69 Congrats on the loss !

@Katmary71 Thank you ! We didn't play any games unless you count "How many naps can my DH take" lol. I got the briefcase and I like it. Thank you! Too bad about the test drive. I hope you can get the one you want.

Hi all. Yesterday was nice: I spent some time earlier in the day prepping some of the food so it wasn't too much work at the end of the day. I put the beef in the crockpot and I cut up the carrots and put them in the fridge. The pudding cake ended up being easy to make and it wasn't overly sweet. The only sugar came from semi-sweet chocolate chips. It was a nice, relaxing day. I've been tracking since August 8th. It feels good to do it.

    Tracked yesterday? YES!

Wahooooo Slimpossibles on being #1!! 😎 14.8 lbs loss is incredible! 👏👏👏

@Katmary71 I hope you can get that car that you want! How are the kitties?

@trooworld  Fortunately, the girls ate the cookies, so I didn’t have to struggle too long. They only stay on Saturday nights because my sister is off on Sundays. I’m glad your day went well. It is great that you are being consistent with tracking. 🙂

Good morning! I woke up at 4 am, which is super annoying. I got up at 5 am and took a shower so I could be done before Joe woke up. Yesterday, he climbed out of his open recliner to find me. I saw him on the monitor and was able to help him back into his chair without incident. It was my fault for forgetting to turn on his chair alarm. This new phase of agitation is wearing me out! 😣 Today I'm washing all the bedding and doing other housework. I am going to try to really watch my eating so I can maintain a loss this week. Have a good day! 😀

    Monday Weigh-In

    SW 265.2
    PW 204.4
    CW 202.6

Woohoo! I am super happy to be in the green, as it was an odd week. My son came home for a visit for a couple of days, and then we went out of town to visit my in-laws to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. This meant a couple of days of eating not my usual fare, and not getting much exercise. I needed to get my son to the airport at super early yesterday. I had to be up at 4:30. Every time I hit a 'light sleep' point in my sleep cycle, I checked my watch to make sure it wasn't 4:30. Gotta love it. And in fact, I was up a little early and we got him to the airport on time.

A huge congratulations to the Slimpossible team for such a great week! Congratulation to @Veta2018 @Cornanda @baodell17724 for making the leaderboard! Hurray to all of us for being in action! It all adds up.

Hurray team! Congratulations to @Veta2018 @Cornanda and @baodell17724 for being on the leaderboard! Hurray for all of us being in action! This is such a great team!

@Veta2018 Wow! And welcome back! The photo from the wedding is great. You guys are such a handsome couple! I hope you feel recovered from the celebrating and childcare soon! And, wait — a tree job? Do you trim trees for a living?

@TeresaW2024 Having the girls on Saturday nights sounds like such a treat! Morning chatter sounds lovely! My son came to visit this last week, and I really enjoyed the added chaos! 😉

@trooworld Hurray for the work on food prep. I am reminded that needs to be on my list for today, right after fridge inventory and shopping. I am glad that your dog's dental work went well, and that it means she will not be in pain. What a great gift to give her.

@Katmary71 Hello, busy lady! I hope you are off having a productive and lower pain day. Your new plan sounds like a smart one!

@micaroo4 Thank you for the weigh-in reminder!

@txcritter69 Woohoo! You are so close to the 140s! Keep up the great work!

@sleepygirl79 It sounds like you are doing all the things to help your plantar fasciitis heal. Hang in there!

    @laurelfit57 Welcome back!

@gemwolf110 Thanks for the inspiring post. "This week is a new chance to be amazing." What a great thought to take into the rest of Monday morning!

@DrewsAnna Thank you for the Seniorshape recommendation. I will check those out!

@baodell17724 Congratulations on being in Onderland! Keep up the great work! And how great that you are feeling more energetic!

@Cornanda - The air mattress with a hole in it — I am so sorry. And the shift with your mom sounds like a hard thing. {{HUGS}} As far as working things out with your manager… would it help to always ask? It may be that you already do this. I am thinking of the shift I had to make with my teenage son. At a certain point, he did not want to hear his mom's opinions. (Shocking, yes? LOL) Anyway, I worked to ask before giving thoughts, and frame them as "it seems" and "I wonder" with a "what do you think?" afterwards.

@19shmoo69 - When you say switch to green foods, do you mean actual greens? Like spinach, kale, etc? Or any green foods? Not trying to be stupid. Just clarifying. I usually only eat 1 or 2 servings of fruit, so I could easily skip them for a bit to see if that helps. I’ve been trying to go no/low oil, but that may be part of the problem, too. Kicking myself for giving away all my flavored olive oils to Syd’s now ex-boyfriend. Thank you for your prayers.

@AustinRuadhain – I did make an appt to see my doctor about TOM. The soonest I could get is September 3rd. Thank you for the link for the breathing techniques. I’ll try some.

@bobboyardee – I could use an accountability partner. Tell me how we’d do that. I sent a friend request so we can private message. I’m sorry you’re stressed.

@micaroo4 – I’ve been overdosing on tea the past couple days! I’ll try journaling.

@trooworld – Yes, it is pea protein. I wish I could remember what the one was made of that I loved so much. I’ll look into other options. Sounds like a wonderful Day of Romance!

@TeresaW2024 – I made an appt for my GP. Soonest I could get was Sept 3. I have an appt with my therapist next Monday. I probably will return the Garden of Life. It’s a pretty big container to just throw away. Have fun with your puzzle!

@baodell17724 – I was diagnosed about a dozen years ago with Major Depressive Disorder and Binge Eating Disorder. More recently, Inattentive ADHD about 2 years ago. I’ve tried all 3 types of antidepressants – NDRI (Wellbutrin), SSRI (Zoloft and Lexapro), and SNRI (Effexor). My brain is unable to tolerate any of them. They actually made me think of ways to harm myself and, even scarier, my children. Not sure what else to try. You’re right about the junk and alcohol. I’m sure I do need to just get rid of it all. I used to air pop popcorn for evening snack time and top it with spray oil and a taco nooch seasoning I would make. That would be a good habit to get back into. I’ll try your tip of adding ½ ounce of the powder into my oatmeal and see if that does the trick. Thank you.

@littlebabekitty – Nice job with losing inches!

@Veta2018 – Your grandson is adorable! What a lovely picture of you – looking so svelt in that dress!

@Cornanda – I am glad your dad bounced back so soon, but I am so sorry about your mother and the stress of your job. If I recall correctly, weren’t you previously in a different group and there was some restructuring going on? Was this manager in that previous group, or are you still getting to know her style? Hugs as you navigate this and decide what’s best for you going forward.

@laurelfit57 – Good luck volunteering at the dog agility competition!

@Katmary71 – Thank you for the hugs and prayers. I hope you find a car that fits all your needs soon.

I’m feeling a little bit better. I kept taking my vitamins all weekend and got my 5,000+ steps in, so that’s a plus. I also drank a lot of iced tea over the weekend…both black and herbal. I did not drink any alcohol, either. I did gain back what I lost before, but I’m not beating myself up. One day at a time. I’ll see my therapist next Monday and then my GP on Sept 3. Hopefully I’ll get some things figured out. I have a work conference tomorrow and Wednesday and I’m not looking forward to it. I used to love going each year, but the older I get, the less I want to interact with people. It changes locations in Michigan each year and this time it’s just over an hour away, so I’m driving each day instead of staying overnight in a hotel, so at least I’ll still get to sleep in my own bed. It makes me a little sad, though, because Hunter used to go with me and we’d add in a couple days’ vacation time and make it a little getaway trip, too. Now that she has littles, that won’t be happening again. Ok. I’ll stop now. I’m going to do a little meal planning. Thanks again to everyone that responded, gave hugs and/or prayed for me. You all are my lifeline. I appreciate being able to be open with you all and not feel judged.

@vegan4lyfe2012 send me a message (or post here) when you are done eating for the day. If you eat after you post, you have to send another message and talk about it. No judgement either way, but you just have to talk to another human about how you are feeling. I will do the same tonight!

@bobboyardee If it's ok with you, I'd prefer a message so my phone gives me the notification. Otherwise, I'd have to randomly check and I probably would forget. Thanks!
